Restaurant Akropolis in Linden

Wir waren gestern hier zu zweit essen. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen direkt zu Beginn: Es ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Da die nächste Bank aber nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ist, war das kein großes Problem und führt auch nicht zu Punktabzug. **Service & Ambiente:** Der Service war absolut mega – die zwei Kellner waren extrem aufmerksam und fast schon zu freundlich. Dafür verdiente 5 Sterne! Das Ambiente im Biergarten zieht den Gesamteindruck leider etwas runter: Die blauen Plastikstühle und -tische sind nicht sonderlich gemütlich oder schön. Dass teures Mobiliar Geld kostet, ist verständlich, aber mehr als 2 bis 2,5 Sterne sind hier für das Flair leider nicht drin. **Das Essen:** Hier gab es Licht und Schatten. Die Vorspeisen waren klasse: Meine Hühnersuppe war lecker (Portion war zwar klein, aber als Vorspeise völlig okay). Die Garnelenpfanne meiner Partnerin war absolut göttlich und ein echtes Highlight! Bei den Hauptspeisen gab es allerdings Abzüge. Meine Freundin hatte einen kleinen Gyros-Teller und war damit auch sehr zufrieden (die Pommes waren lediglich eine Spur überwürzt). Ich hatte den Athen-Teller mit Bifteki, Souvlaki und Gyros. Das Fleisch war qualitativ gut, lecker und super gewürzt. Allerdings war die Portionsgröße im Vergleich zum kleinen Teller meiner Freundin fast identisch – für den normalen Preis also definitiv zu wenig. Zudem konnte mich der Tomatenreis geschmacklich leider gar nicht überzeugen, und auch der Beilagensalat war nicht besonders gut. **Fazit:** Tolles Fleisch und überragender Service, aber beim Ambiente und den Beilagen/Portionsgrößen ist noch Luft nach oben.

Das Restaurant hat meine Frau durch Zufall im Internet gefunden. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, sehr schnell, absolute Spitzenklasse. Das Essen sehr lecker, der Beilagensalat könnte ein bisschen mehr Bunt vertragen und das Dressing war zu sauer. Preise sind normal. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

It was supposed to be a lovely evening! Unfortunately, it ended with such an unpleasant farewell from the staff that I'm wondering, are guests welcome or just an unnecessary inconvenience? I was surprised that there wasn't even a receipt when paying, so the prices can't be verified afterwards. For example, a large portion of fries costs a whopping €25. I'm from Dresden, but I can't think of any restaurant where I'd have to pay that. Personal insults, bans from the premises, and insinuations are making me consider seeking legal advice. I was a guest of my family and I'm wondering who behaved badly. In my 73 years, I've never experienced such a change in mood from the staff, from friendly to insulting comments.

Since there's no way to answer the commenter's lies, I'm adding my own comment here, following Bianca Szalay's last review. The atmosphere was great and the service was nice, until we complained about the €25 for the fries. Even if there were four, it would have been €3.50 x 4. They demanded we pay for another bifteki, but we had three, and we paid for them. The separate area by the cloakroom was reserved, but the two small tables were occupied by other guests. Anyone with children knows that it's a mess with three children aged 1-2. They never wandered around alone; we had closed the sliding door with the staff's permission so we wouldn't disturb the other guests. The "property damage" was a wooden picture stand that fell down as the waiter walked by, but he didn't notice. I picked it up, and the waiter said it wasn't a big deal, although I told him then that we weren't. We were there a year ago with 13 people and would have come back if we hadn't been so accosted with "you don't want to leave without paying." It's amazing how the situation changes when guests express their dissatisfaction. If a group of 19 is too large for the restaurant, you shouldn't accept it or, as discussed, keep the separate area for the group. P.S. Google asks what group size the restaurant is suitable for, not how many we were. Before calling others liars, you should read the description and not lie yourself. There was no mention of a ban yesterday, either, another lie.

Unfortunately, the place was extremely unfriendly and the prices were way overpriced (€25 for two small plates of fries). Unfortunately, we'll never go back, but we've always been very satisfied.

A small, cozy restaurant with the usual charm. There's a small beer garden and parking right in front. The menu is extensive, so everyone can find something to their liking. The owners are really friendly, which was nice. The food was good, and the portions were absolutely adequate. The restrooms are top-notch! Highly recommended 😄

The atmosphere was okay, but the plastic tablecloths and chairs could be nicer. Overall, a solid visit – we'd gladly go again.

We held our son's baptism in the hall next door in September 2024. There, too, the Grivas family impressed all the guests with their food and their presence. I have enjoyed the food here. The atmosphere is ok, the service is pleasant, and their outside area is great. The food is well seasoned, tastes authentic, wine selection is nice, food quality is solid, and the side dishes are a bit too large. There is plenty of parking available. It is a very locally frequented restaurant, which adds some interesting conversations to the dinner. My score is a 4.7.

I can highly recommend the good food. For us there is only Greek food there. The innkeeper's sons are so friendly and accommodating that it's almost too much.

I celebrated my son's confirmation in September and the food was good, tasted very good and when I like something I don't look at the price, 5 stars. I even said to the Cologne guy that it was too little, that's why I ate two great meats.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to the Akropolis Restaurant in Linden. The prices are far too high in relation to the quality offered. The food seemed carelessly prepared and did not meet my expectations at all. For these prices I would have expected much better quality and taste. I therefore cannot recommend the restaurant.

Kitschy Greek restaurant, the ambience is a bit rustic, the atmosphere is rather loud. The food tasted wonderful and the portions were large. We would recommend it.

The ambience could be a bit more modern and brighter for my taste. Despite everything, for me it's one of the best Greek restaurants in the area. My recommendation is to reserve in advance.

We really enjoy going to the Acropolis. It has become our regular restaurant. Everyone is always very friendly, it's always quick for someone to come to the table. The food is plentiful and always tastes delicious. Table reservation is recommended.

Food was good, service was super friendly. The starter plate for almost €10 was a joke: an olive, a single chilli, some tzatziki and a small piece of baked feta cheese. The main courses were tasty and OK, the beer garden was nice and shady and recommended. Overall, recommended.
