Wir waren früher wirklich sehr gerne im Achilles essen, leider hat die Qualität in den letzten Jahren massiv nachgelassen. Vieles wirkt inzwischen nur noch wie einfache TK- oder Convenience-Ware vom Großhändler statt frisch und hausgemacht. Selbst das Suflaki und Gyros konnten uns überhaupt nicht mehr überzeugen. Das Gyros war offensichtlich nur noch fertiges Pfannengyros und kein frischer Spieß mehr – geschmacklich ein riesiger Unterschied. Besonders enttäuschend war auch der Vorspeisensalat. Dieser bestand praktisch nur aus billigem Eisbergsalat mit einem kleinen Klecks Dressing, das leider ebenfalls überhaupt nicht lecker war. Das wirkte wirklich lieblos und war für uns ehrlich gesagt eine Frechheit. Gerade weil das Restaurant früher deutlich besser war, ist die Enttäuschung umso größer. Sehr schade, denn wir hatten das Achilles einmal wirklich in guter Erinnerung.

Das Restaurant ist mir seit vielen Jahren bekannt. Sehr schneller und freundlicher Service zeichnet die Lokalität aus. Die Qualität und auch Quantität überzeugen immer wieder!

Wir waren am Montagabend im Restaurant Achilles, in einem privat-dienstlichen Kontext auf Empfehlung. Besonders positiv: Das Restaurant hat montags geöffnet, was wirklich praktisch ist. Der Gastraum ist groß mit vielen Sitzplätzen. Trotz fehlender Reservierung haben wir problemlos einen Tisch für drei Personen bekommen. Die Parkplatzsituation ist allerdings etwas schwierig. Im ersten Moment ist man von der sehr umfangreichen Speisekarte etwas erschlagen – es gibt gefühlt nichts, was es nicht gibt. Umso positiver war dann die Erfahrung, dass die Qualität der Speisen dennoch überzeugt hat. Wir haben uns zu dritt eine warme Vorspeisenplatte geteilt (Aubergine, Zucchini, Paprika und Tzatziki), alles sehr lecker. Dazu ein guter griechischer Assyrtiko. Als Hauptgericht hatte ich den Sirtaki-Teller – die Portion war sehr groß. Das Gyros war geschmacklich sehr gut, das Souvlaki bzw. Souzouki hätte für meinen Geschmack noch kurz länger auf dem Grill sein können, um mehr Röstaromen zu entwickeln, war aber dennoch lecker. Zum Abschluss gab es einen süßen griechischen Mokka, schön heiß serviert. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend.

Wir waren absolut begeistert von diesem griechischen Restaurant! Das Essen war frisch, authentisch und unglaublich lecker – besonders das Gyros und die Vorspeisen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt definitiv. Auch der Service war hervorragend: freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr herzlich, sodass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre rundet das Ganze perfekt ab und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Der Empfang sehr nett, das Essen gut, bis auf den "Salat ?!?". Die Atmosphäre... Na ja wie eine Kantine... Es war ziemlich laut, und nicht gerade gemütlich. Kein Öl und Essig am Tisch. Zum Suvlaki keine Zitrone! Beides kam auf Nachfrage, Warum nicht automatisch...? Ganz netter Laden, aber geht besser... Für das gebotene zu teuer. Nicht noch mal.!

Ausgezeichnetes griechisches Restaurant mit reichhaltigen und qualitativ hochwertigen Gerichten. Die Lammkoteletts sind sehr gut, ich empfehle jedoch, sie ein paar Minuten länger zu braten. Der Service ist hervorragend, die Kellner kennen sich auch mit Allergenen aus. Ich selbst habe Zöliakie und konnte problemlos essen. Nicht alle Kellner sprechen Englisch. Das Ambiente ist klassisch griechisch und elegant. Ich kann das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Ein rundum gelungenes kulinarisches Erlebnis! Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants fühlt man sich wie im Urlaub in Griechenland: warme Atmosphäre, liebevolle Einrichtung und ein herzlicher Empfang. Der Service ist aufmerksam, freundlich und stets bemüht, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das Essen ist schlichtweg hervorragend. Frische Zutaten, authentische Rezepte und perfekt abgestimmte Gewürze sorgen für echten griechischen Genuss. Ob saftiges Gyros, zartes Lamm, frischer Fisch oder klassische Vorspeisen wie Tzatziki und Dolmadakia – jedes Gericht überzeugt geschmacklich und ist schön angerichtet. Auch die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Abgerundet wird der Besuch durch eine gute Auswahl an griechischen Weinen und Desserts, die das Menü perfekt ergänzen. Man merkt, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Wie hatten eine wunderbare Weihnachtsfeier, das essen war sehr lecker und der Service freundlich und zuvorkommend!

Leider war unser Aufenthalt in diesem „Restaurant“ eine reine Zumutung. Sowohl der Service als auch das kalte Ambiente lies zu wünschen übrig. Das Essen war leider eine absolute Beleidigung für den Gaumen, selbst die Vorspeise war ungenießbar. Die Oliven trocken und die Peperoni ranzig, der Tzatziki geschmacklos und das Hauptgericht so derart versalzen, dass ich es nach ein paar Bissen stehen lassen musste. Das einzig wirklich gut und leckere in diesem Restaurant war die Gurkendeko auf dem Tzaziki und die Apfelschorle. Alles andere war eine bodenlose Beleidigung meiner Geschmacksknospen. Die Kellner laufen ohne jede Beachtung Ihrer Kunden an den Tischen vorbei und nehmen kaum Bestellungen auf. Dieses Restaurant gehört geschlossen, eine reine Zumutung! Der Aufenthalt war einfach nur belastend.

Total unfreundliche Kellner. 4x darauf hingewiesen, dass die Sonne extrem blendet und Kopfschmerzen bereitet mit der Antwort ,,ja was soll ich machen?" Salat ist ein Witz und die Hauptspeise ist unterdurchschnittlich. Leider hat dieser Laden unser Weihnachten ruiniert. Keine Empfehlung

Sehr empfehlenswert ! Pro: - Hauptgerichte waren alle sehr lecker - Preis-/Leistung passt - gute Portionen - Service war aufmerksam und nett - Reservierung hat gut geklappt Naja: - brutale Lautstärke da voll besetzt und mehrere größere Tische sicht extrem laut "unterhalten" haben. Da kann aber der Gastgeber nichts dafür Parkplätze waren an diesem Abend absolute Mangelware auch in größerem Umkreis.

I enjoy eating Greek food often. However, you won't find typical Greek food here, and the salad served should probably be skipped if it's not typically Greek. Recommendation: please try to present authentic Greek cuisine. The server was at least friendly and helpful.

I've been coming to Achilles for years and have never been disappointed. You always feel welcome! Whether in the front restaurant area or in the newer, covered winter garden, it's beautiful everywhere. I've never had anything to complain about with the food either; no meat is dry or vegetables are overcooked; everything is exactly as you imagine. Whether it's a small group or a larger one, it's no problem. To be on the safe side, you should reserve a table on weekends; however, with a little wait, you can always get a spot spontaneously, even during peak times. One of my top favorite restaurants!

Best Greek restaurant I've been to! Their meat is magical and their moussaka is to die for! I recommend everyone to try this restaurant! Will definitely be back!

This restaurant has become one of our favorite restaurants in Neuss. The friendly service has been impressive from the start; we've even received a free ouzo with every order so far. The food is also always a delight. The portions are so large that you'll easily feel full, even if you don't round it off with one of the delicious appetizers or desserts. The quality of the meat has always been fabulous. The side dishes are also not to be underestimated: fries are always crispy, salad is fresh and delicious, and not too small, like in so many other restaurants. The prices are so affordable that you can easily afford them even on a tighter budget. In short: A good place for a solid meal in a cozy atmosphere.

We didn't have a reservation. We got a table right away. The place was very busy—we had a large group. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait long to place our order. Visited on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. The designated customer parking space was unavailable due to construction work, and all surrounding parking spaces were taken, so we spent a long time searching for a space. Our pre-booked table was assigned to us in the conservatory/terrace, which was well-filled. The food was excellent and plentiful, and the service was good. The noise level in the conservatory was very loud and unpleasant, making it impossible to enjoy a relaxed meal or have pleasant conversation. The view from the conservatory/terrace is obscured by a large construction site for a new residential building.

Unfortunately, our regular restaurant is no longer recommended. Service and quality have deteriorated significantly. Grape juice is only available from discount stores, no more traditional Greek grape juice. The salad was placed on the plate with lots of oil. Cucumbers and tomatoes are missing in the meantime. The Taramas has become of cheap quality and the portions are now small. The garlic shrimp were placed in hot olive oil - without garlic. It couldn't be more loveless. The service no longer works well either. We had to call several times to order drinks and we went to the front to cash out. The best Greek restaurant has unfortunately become an ordinary, almost substandard, bad restaurant. Very disappointed seven years ago we celebrated our wedding there with very delicious food and service.

Went to Achilles for dinner on Friday, November 8th, 2024. Normal conversation is not possible because it is too loud. We found out in advance about the dishes on offer and prices via the menu on the homepage. However, the rude awakening comes when ordering in the restaurant. The prices have been raised sharply. This should also be kept on the homepage so that guests know what to expect. Food is good average. Service nice, polite and quick. Parking on site is difficult. At least there was an ouzo on the house.

Bright, friendly, decorated with Greek columns and seemingly ancient figures, the menu also offers the usual Greek fare. Many different types of meat are varied in various combinations under the name of a Greek god or a legendary figure (cyclops plate, Zeus plate, and so on). There are also some fish dishes and starters to choose from. You can also choose a Greek wine. The service is friendly, quick and reliable despite the many guests. The food is good and tasty; the meat-based dishes typically include fried potato slices and a side salad. The briefly fried or grilled meat in particular is really delicious. The gyros is also recommended. Beforehand there is an ouzo on the house as an aperitif. The price-performance ratio is also great. There are large portions for not exorbitant prices. The guests are dressed casually, evening wear is rather unusual. Due to the large number of restaurant visitors, it can be a bit louder and busier. If you want to chat in peace while you eat, you shouldn't come during peak hours. Families with small and very small children are also welcome here, precisely because it is not as quiet and formal as usual in a restaurant. There is a free popsicle ice cream for the little guests. The food was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. In the Tatziki there was dill 🤢, which I didn't know until now, not mine. Sorry Appetizer: Octopus was lukewarm and the yellow lentils were refrigerator cold. If it had been warm, or at least as warm as the octopus, I think it would have been O.K. been. Main course: Ouzo plate, three kinds of meat, everything tasted like gyros spice, with fries. It's a shame that there was no Tatziki with it and if so, only with dill. The meal lasted with a starter and a main course 1 hour 15 minutes. It was very loud, I felt like I was at the train station. I don't know if I'll come back again.
