Well, what can I say? I've stayed in many hotels, and this one is, let's say, special. Okay, it's an old building, and the ambiance is accordingly old, or rather, it is old. The standard room we booked was very small. So small that there wasn't even a wardrobe. Upon request, we were given a larger room, but it was a higher category, and therefore more expensive. There is no room service, nor are there USB ports in the rooms. You won't find a fitness area or pool. The service staff, as well as the breakfast, were good. If a party is going on, it can be quite noisy in some rooms, as the (party) guests are relatively unconsiderate. Parking costs €15 per night, which is significantly overpriced (there's no garage, just a gated area). Conclusion: At €220 per night for a double room (including parking and breakfast), this is significantly too expensive for what you get.

Only rate the restaurant that we really liked. The ambience within the old walls is hard to beat. The kitchen was in no way inferior. I think the high-quality ingredients and the attractive presentation are particularly worth mentioning. Only the service could have been a bit more on point, but that's really complaining at the highest level. Not too expensive for what is on offer! Absolute recommendation.

A beautiful hotel in time-honored rooms that has been furnished with great attention to detail. You immediately feel at home in the beautiful rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are 2 wall boxes in the garage that can be used free of charge.

Insanely good restaurant with a great atmosphere and outstanding food.

As guests in the house, we also had our funeral service held there. It's generous that they didn't charge extra for the room. However, when it came to the funeral service bill, for example, €70 was charged for a few carafes of water that were not even ordered. An additional 15€ per night for a narrow underground car park is added. So you have to say that you have to have it there. We will no longer book this outdated hotel.

We ended the Friday evening with a cozy cold drink, inspected our wedding venue and were absolutely thrilled. The service is really top and the decor is beautiful. Here you can lose time in a cozy atmosphere.

This was my fourth stay at the Renthof, and it's always a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a former monastery, and much of its original architecture has been preserved. This gives the hotel a very cozy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the restaurant serves excellent food. The only thing missing this time was a desk in the room. I was in Kassel for business and needed to do some work in my room, but unfortunately, there was only a small, low coffee table. The hotel is very centrally located, a 5-minute walk from Königsplatz.

We hosted a two-day corporate event at the Renthof and highly recommend the conference space, the rooms, the restaurant, and the service. All requests were met, and the entire process was very professional and uncomplicated. We would definitely go back! - Highly recommended!

Unfortunately we were only there for a brief meeting over coffee and cake. The ambience is enchanting, the service was very nice and the cake was delicious. We will definitely come back for dinner 😊 We've only heard about the rooms, but they're supposed to be very nice.

Nydelig mat, beste rumpsteak ever! Serviceminded betjening og flott å kunne ha med en liten hund som lå under bordet. Anbefales! Kalvesnitzelen var også god. Husets gin anbefales. Flotte rom, rent og pent. Greit å parkere også. Positivt at mye er økologisk og mange veganske retter å velge mellom. Hotellet er egentlig et gammelt koster og fint utsmykket med gammelt og nytt. Vi overnatter alltid her på vår vei fra Norge til Sør Frankriket.

An absolute recommendation. Each hotel room is a highlight in itself. The restaurant paired with the great service is simply fun.

Really nice and very stylish hotel with a good restaurant and a nice bar. But what bothered me: I booked a superior double room because it said on the homepage that they have a desk and are around 20-22 square meters in size. For the comfort version it was written that only some of them had desks and were quite small at around 15 square meters. I then opted for the superior variant (double room) and unfortunately I didn't arrive at the hotel until around 10 p.m. I then quickly went out to eat something and took a shower when I arrived. Afterwards I noticed the relatively small room (approx. 16 square meters - more of a comfortable size according to the homepage) and that it doesn't have a desk. The night staff couldn't really help me with a rebooking or a new room and just said that it was a superior room, which was quite small - she would make a note that next time I would get one with a desk (I'll probably never stay overnight in Kassel again, as I was only there for a court appointment). So that night I had to do my work on my laptop until 5 a.m. in a relatively uncomfortable position on a chair on a 50 cm small and 30 cm round side table - there is no other way to do it comfortably. I wouldn't have said anything if I hadn't had to pay an extra €50 in the morning for a late checkout until 12.30 (free until 11 a.m. - so 1 hour and 30 minutes longer). So to write on the homepage that superior rooms (double rooms) are almost 20-22 square meters and are always equipped with a desk, so that you then get a room that is 16 square meters and has no desk (i.e. more like the description of the comfort version, which is €30 cheaper), only to then pay an extra €50 in the morning for 1 1/2 hours of late checkout - I find it a bit cheeky. It's a shame about the really nice hotel. But that doesn't work. I've never experienced that before - they could have at least saved me the fee for the late checkout or the €30 for the room, then everything would have been fine.

Unfortunately no recommendation, we had made a special reservation (2 people) and even received a reminder for this reservation on the day, but when we were there in the evening they said that there was no reservation... Then you are put in a corner where there was a large group of people sitting, so it was loud so that you could hardly have a conversation. Then it took forever until they took our order, we really didn't feel comfortable there, so we only ordered a drink and a main course. Nothing was removed from the place setting that wasn't needed; on the contrary, it was simply added to it. Food wasn't particularly good either, meat was dry and the risotto we had (it was supposed to be 2 different ones) tasted exactly the same... I don't like writing reviews like that, but in this case it makes sense to me.

On our first visit we were thrilled by the atmosphere, the historic architecture and the unique charm of the hotel. It was clear to us: we're celebrating here! A big plus point: Everything in one place - from the wedding to dinner to the party. The distances were short and we were able to concentrate fully on the moment. The entire planning was absolutely professional, quick and uncomplicated. A huge thank you to Jasmin Ohlendorf and Rainer Holzhauer, who were available to us at any time and really implemented every wish perfectly. Ambience & atmosphere – simply magical Our wedding ceremony in the beautiful courtyard, the dinner in the stylish halls and the party in the Poodlebar - it couldn't have been better! With 130 guests, we rented the entire hotel and were able to enjoy the celebration in complete privacy. Our wedding motto “Old Glamour” fit perfectly with the ambience of the Renthof. Culinary & service – absolutely top class The food was fantastic! What was particularly nice was that the kitchen team also prepared traditional dishes based on our mothers' recipes - a personal touch that really touched us. Our menu consisted of a buffet, served starter and dessert, so there was something for every taste. A highlight at the bar: Espresso Martini! 🍸 The service was outstanding - so much so that our guests left tips on the spot because they felt so comfortable. That impressed us deeply. The employees always told us that our wedding was the most beautiful they had ever experienced at the Renthof - that was of course a very special honor for us! Process & Highlights Everything went perfectly – we celebrated wildly until 4:00 a.m.! An unforgettable moment: The DJ triggered a fire brigade operation with his smoke machine, which was professionally managed by the Renthof team. The midnight snack was also an absolute highlight! Overnight stay & conclusion The rooms are beautiful, even if they are of different sizes - but that didn't detract from the comfort. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and left nothing to be desired. Conclusion: If you get married at the Renthof, you should book the entire hotel - it's 100% worth it! We can recommend the Renthof unconditionally and encourage everyone to reserve early. Beautiful historic building with modern interiors. Very good integration of functional hotel (heating, plumbing, electrical, internet ...) without violating the charm of the old building. Excellent restaurant! Access is a bit difficult as it is in the city center.

We stayed at the hotel from Friday to Sunday. The room was very nicely furnished, the entire building a dream. All those details. I felt like I was in a fairytale. The service was excellent. The breakfast was regionally prepared. Lots of homemade creations like spreads, jams, and bread. Cheese directly from the region.

We spent Christmas 2024 at the Renthof. The hotel is beautifully located directly on the Fulda River, and Kassel's city center is within walking distance. Our suite was a good size. The entire hotel is stylishly furnished and offers a special flair, especially during the Christmas season. That's what attracted me to booking the hotel. The view from the room is limited to the parking lot in front of the hotel. Well, you're in the middle of the city, after all. Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant were closed over the holidays. We were notified of this by email, days after booking. Nevertheless, the suite cost more than it would have been on the days before or after Christmas. The help we received in finding a place to eat Christmas dinner was limited to saying that others that were usually open would probably also be closed. There was no service at breakfast. No one brought coffee. On the first day, there was no table set. No staff came to set the table either. The friendly receptionist simply asked for the room number and left. The breakfast is really poor for an overnight stay costing around €300. As I said, there's absolutely no service. There's no snack machine in the hotel, no minibar in the room, just nothing. Furthermore, the floor, especially the carpets, was covered in dog hair. It was truly disgusting. I paid in advance for two days of parking (yes, parking garage, that's what it says on the website when booking – by that I understand a covered parking garage). On the first day, I received a slip of paper telling me to park in front of the hotel, even though I asked for the parking garage. The next day, I asked again and was told there was a parking deck behind the hotel. The parking deck is accessible to everyone and not monitored. I think the two days' parking cost €48. The Renthof is supposed to be "the hotel" in Kassel. I spent almost €700 for two nights. I will never do that for this hotel again. I highly recommend everyone to take the money and rent a cottage in Denmark for a week. They're often just as dirty, and you have to cook your own food. But you know that before you book...

Very good food at reasonable prices. Very nice, motivated, friendly employees. Were in the restaurant not in the hotel.

We visited the restaurant on Boxing Day. It was a nice experience. Great ambience, wonderful food, attentive, courteous service. These people made it so that we as guests felt comfortable at every moment in the jam-packed restaurant. Unfortunately, for some visitors their cell phones were more important than enjoyment, so there was no appreciation for those who did their work with dedication. In many European countries, cell phones are already banned in restaurants. You should also think about it here. But it was a great evening for us. Thanks for that.

Disappointing experience despite high expectations I was looking forward to an evening at this restaurant as it is known for its high quality German cuisine. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the high expectations. The food was adequately presented but tasted disappointing. The dishes seemed uninspired and lacked the spice and finesse that I would have expected in a restaurant of this caliber. The main course was particularly disappointing - the quality of the meat did not match the high price, and the side dishes were carelessly presented. The service also left a lot to be desired. Although the restaurant was not full, the service was inattentive and we had to ask several times for drinks and cutlery. For the prices, I would have expected an all-round better experience. Unfortunately, the impression remains of an overrated restaurant that doesn't live up to its own standards.

We stayed at the Renthof from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day. The rooms were small, but their decor was stunningly beautiful. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast (€36 per person), however, was not worth the price. Coffee wasn't served at the table; instead, you had to wait in line at the coffee machine. There was nothing exceptional about breakfast.

Very friendly welcome! We were at the Renthof for a birthday party. Old monastery beautifully redesigned! Old and new harmoniously combined. The library provides a great atmosphere for the festival. The food is a poem! Absolutely perfect service with Emma 🔝! I particularly liked the wallpaper with bird patterns in the room and the striking ornithological pictures in the public spaces. Great bed quality. A perfect stay.

Good morning “Renthof Team”, as a hard-working Google review writer, I would like to leave my report and impression of yesterday’s Christmas dinner on December 26th. To start with, we were guests at your house last year and, based on the very good experience, we were guests at your house again this year. It was good as expected, but overall it didn't blow us away. Why was that? I'll start with the ambience and service. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and escorted to our reserved table. The jackets were taken from us and hung in the cloakroom. That was all great! During our stay in the restaurant we were looked after by various young gentlemen and ladies. This was an absolutely great service from start to finish, as was the intro. So far everything is as expected. The real sticking point was the food itself. Spoiled from last year (there was a goose leg with a small piece of breast). This year only breast was offered. The poultry itself was OK, but overall not as tender and buttery as last year. Side dishes of dumplings, red cabbage and kale were great. The biggest issue was the sauce, which was very very salty. All other family members felt the same way. The starter soup was good, but perhaps a little too cold, not to say lukewarm. Unfortunately, there was no visual topping on the soup like last year (as the saying goes, the eye also eats). All in all, I come to the conclusion that it was good overall (price-performance ratio of the food was pretty average) but nothing extraordinary as we had hoped and remembered from last year. Have a great time at the Renthof and thanks to the team for an exceptionally good service.

The Renthof is a beautiful hotel with great staff, fantastic rooms, the best breakfast and wonderful food. The location couldn't be better, the interior is cozy. The ambience is casual and yet refined. You can only feel comfortable here. Inquiries via email are responded to immediately in a friendly and charming manner, and requests for changes are made possible. The food is a dream, just Grischäfer. You will never be disappointed. We were here for goose dinner. All in all 5 out of 5 stars. Great atmosphere, the staff is very friendly. The food just perfect. Very good portions, tasted very good. The fact that we waited a little longer for the main course didn't spoil the whole thing. We were informed and apologized, but this is the case everywhere before Christmas. The chef personally checked with everyone to see if it tasted good. Thank you for the lovely stay. We'll definitely be back.

The rooms are small and dark, despite the lighting. Few and poorly located sockets. Conference room dark and poorly ventilated. The restaurant food was good. No wellness area.

Beautiful location, upscale restaurant with local ingredients, sumptuous breakfast buffet put together with love. The rooms are all different and very originally decorated! Really very special! Only the bedside tables are definitely too small. Especially when there is a big lamp on it! No space for books, cell phones, glasses, etc... We will come back because everything else is convincing!

I reserved a table almost 2 months in advance for myself and my family...for my 50th birthday! Canceled 3 days in advance because apparently the house is full and you want to cancel my table. Incredible!!!!! Never again:-(

Fine hotel for a business event. Few things to perhaps consider inproving: bit bagger desk on the room (only very small side table), more choice at breakfast. Therefore not 5 stars.

Although the hotel actually meets many of the requirements for being a top hotel, we didn't really enjoy our three-day stay there. The rooms are clean and very attractively furnished, with very nice details, such as a non-plastered wall on which the bed is. But this wall was so heavily populated with cobwebs that when you went to bed you were already wondering what the cobweb producers were doing at night. The room facing the courtyard initially promised quiet nights. Unfortunately, I thought wrong, because on both evenings a loud and non-stop smoking party celebrated in the courtyard. Since the rooms are not particularly large, the supply of fresh air was very important. However, this was out of the question until very late at night. We really liked the restaurant. Very good food and service. Portions can be a little smaller. 4 fish fillets for one person is a bit too much. The breakfast, on the other hand, wasn't really that special for 18 EUR per person. It is common for each hotel to try to offer its own special feature at breakfast. In this hotel it was probably the focus on regionality, which meant that, for example, no orange juice was offered (this was not possible even upon request). And then there were four types of homemade bread. However, the bread smelled and tasted so strongly of yeast that it was clear that bread baking would be better left to a trained person. In this case, purchasing from a professional baker from outside would have made much more sense. The tea selection was OK, but the hot water supply was absolutely below average. Within 20 minutes I tried twice to get a decent cup of tea with fresh boiling water, unfortunately without success. The second time, however, I was referred to the coffee machine with less hot water because brewing fresh water would take too long (longer than 20 minutes?). There is a market hall directly opposite the hotel. You can have a much better breakfast put together there for this price. All in all, a visually beautiful hotel with very good reception and restaurant/bar staff, but unfortunately with compromises when it comes to details in terms of cleanliness and breakfast options.

Restaurant only. Service very friendly AND VERY polite. I haven't had the latter for a long time. We were surprised by the chef and it tasted very good. However, I'm used to being asked if everything is OK when the food is served. Unfortunately it didn't happen. So I was allowed to run after salt, pepper and another drink. The drink still didn't reach me. That's why there was only a 5% tip and not 10. @Chef: perhaps a short briefing before the start would help here on how good service can work with open eyes, but not intrusively.

I selected this hotel based on their initial customer service through email. The representative was extremely helpful in setting up a reservation. The location is ideally suited in the middle of the interests most people want to see. Beautiful hotel. I'm not sure if this hotel was a prior castle or not, but it looks like it. The hotel has a beautiful dining room with a decent menu and fair prices. I especially liked the quiet and relaxing bar area...it was more a reading area with a fireplace. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful upon arrival and throughout my stay.

Located near the Fulda, well connected (approx. 15 minutes from the train station by public transport). Very nice hotel in an old building. Very elaborately restored. The rooms are modern (some implemented very imaginatively) and cozy. The breakfast buffet is very rich and, above all, many homemade things (such as jams, fruit salad). Restaurant also offers a selection for vegetarians. You get the feeling that everything somehow comes from your own garden. Staff extremely friendly. Overall: good price/performance ratio

Cozy atmosphere, great service and excellent food.

The hotel management decided at short notice to rent out the Renthof for a wedding celebration from Saturday to Sunday. The party lasted until well after midnight, with the loud music with piercing bass making it impossible to sleep. The hotel management obviously didn't care whether the hotel guests were disturbed or not. Such ruthlessness is unparalleled!

We spent 2 nights in the hotel. It has a very good location and the building with the old walls has a special atmosphere. Both from the outside and from the inside. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, the breakfast was rich. We also particularly liked the bar. The entire staff is very attentive and friendly. Price performance is absolutely justified. We were very satisfied with our stay at the Renthof.

Anyone who doesn't love this atmosphere doesn't love anything in the world. And you can tell that the employees' hearts beat for the company. I can't understand many of the negative reviews here. For example, how someone who follows a vegetarian or even vegan diet can't find anything on the menu is inexplicable to me. And yes, the food selection is sometimes unusual but that is exactly the concept. And we all certainly have to struggle with vacation time and simultaneous sick leave at our workplace. I think that when a day like this hits you, you can just go into dialogue straight away and not go to Google later? You don't get anything out of it except frustration. If you want to get out of the ordinary and like regional, seasonal, creative dishes, this is definitely the right place for you.

Beautiful location with a great and balanced gastronomy, top quality food, nice and friendly staff. Table reservation recommended. I can't rate the hotel because we were only there to eat.

To the entire Renthof team Our wedding in your premises was unique. We always felt cared for and safe. From the planning with Ms. Würth, the implementation of our wishes with the service team before our celebration, the hospitable feeling during every phone call or meeting was always friendly and accommodating. Even at our wedding reception, the service from Oliver and his team was not only first class. Not only we but also our guests were very impressed by the service and friendliness. It was almost as if they were part of the family. Even the chef and his team came to us and congratulated us on our wedding. The dishes weren't just a feast for the eyes, they were very tasty and there were always the right drinks on the recommendation of the service team. Everything was very well coordinated. Your service and ambience are definitely highly recommended. Thank you very much for the wonderful time with us with you.

Very nice, harmonious atmosphere in the old walls, with various niches and places to sit. Because of the thick walls, it's certainly nice and cool in the summer, but at the moment it's too cold to sit there in a shirt without a sweater or even a dress. The menu promises excellent food, e.g. veal schnitzel with potato salad for €32, but it can't live up to it. Neither in terms of taste nor size. There is a separate menu for children. Service very courteous and friendly. Price-performance doesn't quite fit here.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Renthof. Die Location ist urig, es handelt sich um ein altes aber sehr gut renoviertes Gemäuer, das auch ein Hotel beherbergt. Die Küche beherrscht ihr Geschäft, die Speisen waren toll. Lediglich der Service war bei vollem Haus sichtlich überfordert. Die Aufmerksamkeit litt offensichtlich wegen der zahlreichen Gäste. Wenn sich die Kellner öfter in unserer Nähe gezeigt hätten, hätten wir den Getränkeumsatz noch erhöht. Da ist noch Luft nach oben.

Wir waren gestern mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen im Renthof Kassel und es war wieder eine einzige Enttäuschung. Bereits beim letzten Besuch mussten wir fast 2 Stunden auf unser Essen warten. Trotzdem wollten wir dem Restaurant noch eine Chance geben und haben erneut einen Tisch reserviert. Leider wurden wir wieder enttäuscht. Nachdem wir lange warten mussten, bis überhaupt jemand unsere Bestellungen aufnahm, stellte sich nach 1,5 Stunden (!) und einer Nachfrage unsererseits heraus, dass unsere Bestellungen vergessen wurden und nie in die Küche weitergeleitet worden waren. Anstatt uns dann umgehend zu bedienen, mussten wir erneut warten – mittlerweile war es schon nach 21:30 Uhr. Der Kellner ignorierte uns die ganze Zeit über, und es wurde uns nicht einmal die Möglichkeit gegeben, weitere Getränke zu bestellen. Einige von uns mussten am nächsten Morgen früh arbeiten und waren kurz davor, ohne Abendessen nach Hause zu gehen. Als wir schließlich um eine Preisreduzierung baten, bot man uns lediglich eine Flasche Wein für die ganze Gruppe an – das ist absolut lächerlich und inakzeptabel. Das Personal war unfreundlich, und von Service kann hier keine Rede sein. Ich kann jedem nur abraten, hier essen zu gehen. Es gibt definitiv bessere Restaurants in Kassel mit deutlich besserem Service und freundlicherem Personal.

Terrible service and pure disappointment! We were at the Renthof Kassel yesterday with a group of 8 people and it was another disappointment. On our last visit we had to wait almost 2 hours for our food. Nevertheless, we wanted to give the restaurant another chance and reserved a table again. Unfortunately we were disappointed again. After we had to wait a long time for anyone to take our orders, after 1.5 hours (!) and an inquiry from us, it turned out that our orders had been forgotten and had never been forwarded to the kitchen. Instead of being served immediately, we had to wait again - by now it was already after 9:30 p.m. The waiter ignored us the entire time and we weren't even given the opportunity to order more drinks. Some of us had to work early the next morning and were about to go home without dinner. When we finally asked for a price reduction we were only offered a bottle of wine for the whole group - this is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. The staff was unfriendly and there is no service here. I can only advise everyone not to eat here. There are definitely better restaurants in Kassel with significantly better service and friendlier staff.

My preferred address in Kassel. Very pretty boutique hotel with attention to detail. The room was a bit small this time. Negative point at breakfast, unfortunately no service at all, only self-service.

Great, centrally located hotel! We enjoyed the overnight stay in the rustic room and the breakfast was regional and very tasty! We plan to come back soon and test the restaurant, which we have also only received positive reports about!

The rooms are really nicely decorated. Air conditioning in the room would have been good for a more comfortable night in the summer. The food and drinks are very good. The service in the bar and at the reception always tries to ensure that we are more than satisfied. The service in the restaurant still needs some improvement.

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm making the effort here because the Google rating isn't justified. The food and ambience are almost perfect, and the service is very attentive and friendly. Price performance is absolutely justified. The restaurant is highly recommended!

We celebrated our wedding at the Renthof and are extremely satisfied in every respect. From planning and consultation with the team to implementation, there was no shortage. Requests, even spontaneous ones, were addressed and implemented. We can only give positive feedback and will always remember our wedding celebration fondly. Fantastic hotel. Lovely food, great service. And not least a place with history! The only downside is that the price is higher than other hotels nearby, in my opinion it is worth every penny

It's actually a bit difficult to rate this hotel. On the one hand, beautiful in a historic building, very nice entrance area, the bar, the great courtyard and the ancient stairs and on the other hand, a very spartan room. Unfortunately it was very hot and the room was very small, no minibar with a cool drink. The toiletries in the bathroom consisted of liquid soap. To rest you have to lie down in bed as there was only one chair. In addition, the double bed we booked turned out to be a French bed and was therefore quite narrow. But the biggest annoyance was the disturbed night's sleep. We had been warned in advance that it could be a little louder. In fact, the party went until 3:00 that night. Because of the hot night and what felt like 30 degrees in the room, we had to open the window every now and then. We had room 127 and not only heard the bass but felt it in bed. Sleep was out of the question. Breakfast was ok We only found out that the parking space in front of the house costs 15 euros when we checked out. On the positive side, there was a small price reduction due to our complaint. Conclusion: we have stayed better for less money and due to the many events taking place in the house and next door, the overnight price is too expensive

An all-round successful and very special evening! The four of us ate very unusually and with very good quality, the service was excellent, the ambience was fantastic. We were absolutely satisfied and would love to come back!

You are not welcome here as a guest. We wanted to spend a nice, cozy evening in the restaurant. The upper cellar, or whatever it was, just walked around frantically and didn't pay any attention to us. It always said "I'll be with you in a moment" and then another half hour went by. We had to wait over an hour for our food because they then realized that they had forgotten it... The upper cellar blamed everything on the poor trainee. You don't badmouth colleagues, even if a mistake has been made. This can happen, then you apologize and it's ok. But that didn't work at all. We weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink. When we looked for a waiter there was no one there or they didn't come when we told them. Same with the bill. There wasn't even a "we're sorry" or anything like that as compensation. No recommendation!!!!

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort und wurden sehr sehr nett empfangen. Ein wunderbares Restaurant, herrlich gemütlich und ruhig ,lauter "fleissige Bienchen" unterwegs um den Gästen einen tollen Abend zu bereiten. Das Essen war frisch ,gesund, raffiniert abgeschmeckt und einfach eine Belohnung für jeden ,der viel arbeitet und endlich mal eine Auszeit genießt. Für mich auch einfach toll , Servicekräfte mit guten Umgangsformen und Herzlichkeit, auch im Umgang mit Kollegen. Wir waren so im Glück das wir am nächsten Abend wiederkamen. Beim nächsten Wochenende in Kassel werden wir auf jeden Fall auch dort übernachten. Danke schön!

I celebrated my wedding at Renthof and had a really nice day. Ms. Würth and her trainees implemented our planning wishes very well. The chef did a great job and even came by personally to congratulate us. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. All in all very good!

Nice hotel with an incredible history but the surrounding area was anything but pleasant. Is only a floor fan so the room is incredibly hot.

Regional ingredients reinterpreted. Fantastic cuisine and excellent service. Rooms very lovingly furnished. Ind the house has many nice corners to retreat to. Kassel, the kitchen and the hotel are really worth a trip.

One of the best houses and restaurants in Kassel. We had an unforgettable evening in the restaurant (only) at a table with a direct view of the kitchen, which gave us a lot of joy. Everyone there is extremely friendly and the kitchen staff is masterful, the food was terrific. We had the For Friends menu with a wine accompaniment, a great selection from the chef and the two waitresses. We were therefore happy not only to pay good money, but also to give a tip that exceeded our expectations. Gladly again and again!

Ein wunderbares Ambiente - sehr schön die vielen verschiedenen, abgetrennten Räume. Der Service war hervorragend - sehr gute Empfehlung zur Menüwahl und gute Bedienung beim Essen für unsere große Runde. Feine Getränke runden das Menü ab.

Hier passten Preis und Leistung leider nicht zusammen. Das Hotel wirbt u.a. mit exklusiver Gastronomie, Bar und mehreren individuellen Eventlocations, außergewöhnlichem Ambiente und mit zeitgemäßer Tagungstechnik. Jedes der Gästezimmer und Suiten sei Unikat in Format und Einrichtung, in dem man genießen und den wahren Luxus der Gemütlichkeit spüren könne, die Zimmer seien liebevoll und modern eingerichtet. Unsere Erfahrung war leider eine völlig andere. Die zwei Zimmer, die wir gesehen haben, waren sehr (!) spartanisch eingerichtet. Der Schrank enthielt nicht ein Staufach. Das Bad war zwar funktionell und sauber, aber das dort vorhandene WC-Papier schien aus recyceltem Recyclingpapier zu bestehen. Insgesamt machte der Bereich um die Bar herum einen etwas vernachlässigten Eindruck. Stolperfallen, verlorene Gegenstände, Glasränder fielen zumindest an dem Nachmittag niemandem auf, obwohl Personal wiederholt daran vorbeiging. Das Frühstücksbuffet war relativ "übersichtlich", auch hier gab es ein Verlängerungskabel, das offen im Verkehrsweg lag und Gäste am Buffet stolpern ließ. Das Angebot an der Bar war sehr regional ausgerichtet. Dennoch hätten wir einen Aperol Spritz erwartet.

Wir haben noch nie in einem so schönen historischen Gemäuer mit Blick in einen sonnenbeschienenen Innenhof gefrühstückt. Bedienung freundlich, unaufdringlich. Die Abstände zwischen den Tischen und die gegliederte Raumaufteilung schaffen eine geradezu private Atmosphäre. Auch das Buffet ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig, nicht überladen, alles frisch. Schade nur, dass wir irgendwann wieder scheiden mussten.

Small, cramped, impractical room. No space for the suitcases. There is a spacious bathroom with a shower, which inevitably causes a small flood in the bathroom. Unfortunately our room wasn't really clean and wouldn't be suitable for people with house dust allergies. I can't understand the pricing for the overnight stay; a larger share is probably needed to maintain the beautiful, old building.

A very beautiful house inside and out. Stylish furnishings. Rooms are very different in size and furnishings. Ask beforehand 😉 some of them are very small so that you hardly have any space to put your luggage or bag. I also recommend asking beforehand whether the room faces the main street or the inner courtyard. Check-in is a bit laborious and takes longer because only one person handles the check-in, even though there are more staff in the office. The food has its ups and downs as does the service in the restaurant area. The lunchtime meal was oversalted, and the only response you got when you pointed this out was a nod. Espresso was ordered, it came without a spoon or sugar, after repeated warnings the service person didn't come back, so the espresso remained cold. The service staff were deployed elsewhere and were hopelessly understaffed? In the evening the food was good, but logistically the kitchen wasn't able to ensure that everyone got their food at relatively the same time. The breakfast offering was very good. Unfortunately, some of the homemade bread was not fully baked. The tomatoes and cucumbers, which are actually standard for a hotel breakfast, had not been refilled since 8:30.

Just wow. The food was wonderful. Started with a nice bottle of wine, excellent. The veal schnitzel was simply a dream, as was the service. Excellent… the little Italian was great… we'll keep coming back 👍🏽

Small rooms at a high price. Due to a technical malfunction, check-in was only possible in the evening. Long waiting time for orders. Breakfast table not set and and and. Definitely not again.
