Yesterday afternoon, six of us were there again for coffee and cake. A beautiful gem away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Great view and a terrace on two levels. Delicious food, coffee, and cake. Incredibly warm and friendly owners and their dog, Charlie 😍

A lovely cafe on Lake Chiemsee. Easily accessible by bike. Very prompt service and delicious homemade cakes make afternoon coffee the highlight of the day. 😄😋

We visited Rene's Café at Lake Chiemsee and felt completely at home. The location right on the lake is simply stunning – the view is perfect for enjoying and relaxing. The service was very friendly and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome. A lovely place to unwind – highly recommended!

A little hidden and therefore away from the "see and be seen" area, Rene's Café is a little solitude, in the best sense of the word. There is a small upper terrace and down the stairs a slightly larger terrace (maybe just 9 tables?). You won't find crowds here and that's what makes René's Café, on the often very busy Chiemsee, so special. Quiet and dignified rather than loud and forced, the coffee and cake (see the first two pages of the menu) taste really excellent. Yes, the view of Lake Chiemsee is not a 180 degree view but this café is still highly recommended. Maybe or especially in bad weather because the inside has great flair! 🤗

Located directly on Lake Chiemsee, we don't need to make much of a fuss about the ambience. The view speaks volumes. Food, juice goulash and spaghetti Bolognese was delicious. But what now speaks for the entire region are the prices for food and drinks. They're too high.

Little Charlie gave us a friendly welcome in his rococo salon at the lake house. His owner served us lovingly and recommended Bohemian cuisine. In fact, the coffee specialties and the best asparagus soup ever went down well with us. I suspect the other dishes are prepared just as well. We liked the ambience, because authentic is the most honest!?

Der Suche nach einem kleinen Café Spot mit Ausblick auf den See fanden wir hier auf TripAdvisor das Rene Café leider sehr Altambiente der Cappuccino war leider sehr einfach und der Käsekuchen warm Eisschokolade schmeckt es sehr nach Tiefkühltruhe. Leider können wir den Spot nicht empfehlen außer man sucht einen Blick auf den See .

Perfect for a quick stop for a latte macchiato and apple strudel. Large selection of cakes and coffee drinks, also hearty food on offer. Relaxed space on the balcony with a lake view.

We absolutely enjoyed our brief visit on their lakeside balcony where we were served an exquisite apple strudel with vanilla ice cream.

Tiramisu was still almost frozen and very watery. Very tasteless. Was Bofrost. Coffee quite good.

René's Café not only offers good service and delicious food, but also impresses with homemade food. The seating right by the water invites you to linger.

We were on holiday at Lake Chiemsee and had a holiday apartment in the Chiemseestrand holiday residence, which also has a café on site. There are also parking spaces and a cycle path that passes directly in front of the café. You have a beautiful view of Lake Chiemsee from the restaurant and beer garden. We were often in the restaurant. In the afternoon there is very tasty cake. We were also there for dinner. There is a small menu, but everything is very tasty, sometimes there are dishes that are not on the menu. On Fridays you can order spareribs in advance, highly recommended.

Are currently staying next door in the holiday residence and are really enjoying the amenities of the small café. Whether it's coffee and cake or a small dinner, everything tastes delicious and is homemade 👍. The service was courteous and nice and a small but perfect wine list. The owners are always ready for a chat. We really enjoy our time here.

We had made a reservation for six people and I was very aggressively asked by the landlord to park my vehicle in Seebruck and then walk to him at Cafe René. I refused, then he immediately canceled our reservation and said he would now call the police , we then drove away immediately

A very nice location on Lake Chiemsee with a great view. Easily accessible on foot or by bike from Seebruck (1 km) or Chieming (5 km) on the riverside path. Alternatively, there is also a parking space directly. Cake tastes very good! The hospitality is extremely friendly and dogs are welcome.

Schöne Aussicht auf Chiemsee, angenehme Terrasse, Stühle, Tische. Mohnkuchen war lauwarm (frisch) und sehr lecker. Gedeckter Apfel war mit viel Zimt. Bedienung war schnell und ok.

Café, very nice both inside and out. The view of the lake from the terrace is sensational. Cakes and drinks are excellent (didn't try food). The boss is just really, really nice, super warm and you are treated like a regular on your first visit. Dogs very welcome.

On the terrace of Rene's Café you have a wonderful view of Lake Chiemsee, with a small but very good selection of dishes. The dishes are extremely tasty and fresh. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to guests. For me one of the most beautiful stops on a bike tour around Lake Chiemsee.

Haben keine Ambition Gäste zu bewirten. Haben uns 8 Personen nicht an einem gemeinsamen Tisch setzen lassen. Service sehr arrogant und unfreundlich. Wir hatten das Gefühl nicht willkommen zu sein.

The café is definitely worth a visit! The location right on the lake with a great terrace overlooking Lake Chiemsee is perfect. The furnishings invite you to feel good and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The cakes are very tasty... The owners are super nice and dogs are very welcome. We would definitely like to come back! We drove from Unterwössen to the café twice :-)!

Spareribs essen: ziemlich teuer, die Rips ziemlich fett. Personal jedoch sehr freundlich, Ambiente gut. Von der Aussicht auf den See hatten wir nix da es Nacht war.

Wir wollten nach einem Spaziergang einkehren. Leider war der Empfang durch das Personal so unfreundlich, dass wir wieder gegangen sind Wir waren 6 Personen, man wollte uns an getrennten Tischen platzieren, nur weil die Bedienung es nicht gestartet hat zwei Tische zusammenzustellen. Dem Café gehts zu gut um Gäste zu bewirten, unglaublich!

Neben Kaffee und Kuchen auch eine Auswahl an deftigen Speisen. Essen war lecker. Bedienungen sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Im Rahmen einer Radtour um den Chiemsee besucht. Empfehlenswert.

Wer bei Rene's nicht eingekehrt ist, hat was verpasst. Super nettes Team. Da kocht der Chef noch selber und nix von wegen Vertiggerichte. Eine Spezialität ist der selber gemachte Kuchen. Aber auch die Knödel und Lasagne sind ein Gedicht. Wenn ihr vorbei schaut, grüßt alle von mir.

We stopped at the cafe during our bike around lake Chiemsee. The place offers a wonderful view over the lake. We ordered soup, beef goulash, ice cream, apple strudel and other items. The food was great and the two hostesses that attended our table took great care of us. Overall, a very charming experience.

Sehr nettes Restaurant, die Terrasse ist in Etagen angelegt, so kann jeder den Chiemsee sehen ! Super freundliche Bedienung, humane Preise (für den Chiemsee), leckeres Essen und Trinken.

Bardzo fajny, przyjemny lokal. Miła właścicielka i obsługa. I cappuccino i adwokat-kaffe wyborne. Apfelstrudel pyszny, ciasto z malinami też bardzo smaczne. Generalnie bardzo polecam.

Eigentlich wollte ich nach einer Radtour mit meiner Tochter nur Café trinken und Eis essen. Leider wurden wir auch auf mehrmalige Nachfrage hin nicht bedient, weil wohl eine größere Gesellschaft erwartet wurde. Sehr unfreundliche Bedienung!

Ich steuere dieses Café immer dann an, wenn ich eine kurze Ruhepause auf dem Weg nach München brauche. Ich nehme den Umweg gerne in Kauf, wenn ich den Chiemsee in entspannter Atmosphäre sehen und hören darf.

Sehr gute Lage mit sehr schöner Aussicht auf dem Chiemsee. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war gut. Die Preise waren moderat. Gerne wieder

Die Lage direkt am See ist wunderschön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Allerdings sind die Speisen und Getränke eher durchschnittlich und fehlen ein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis. Dennoch kann man die idyllische Atmosphäre genießen und die einfacheren Gerichte schmecken. Wenn man die Lage mehr schätzt als kulinarische Raffinesse, ist dieser Ort einen Besuch wert.

Perfekt am Chiemsee-Radweg und Wanderweg liegend, mit einer Terrasse mit Blick auf den Chiemsee haben wir sehr guten, selbstgebackenen Kuchen gegessen. 3 Stück Kuchen und 2 Latte für 21,40€.

Herrliches kleines Cafe mit warmen Speisen

Leider kamen wir nicht in den Genuss. An der Straße ein Schild mit "geöffnet", dann kamen wir am Lokal an und dort ein Schild mit geöffnet ab 12.00 Uhr. Das könnte man schon an der Straße kundtun, bevor man parkt und runter geht, um dann vor verschlossener Türe zu stehen....Da sollte der Besitzer vielleicht ein bisserl mitdenken!

An einem schönen Sonntagnachmittag im Oktober war einiges los hier, zumindest die beliebte Terrasse war voll besetzt. Innen war noch was frei. Wir warteten einige Zeit, bis wir draußen einen Platz bekamen. Die Kuchen waren sehr gut, preislich (3,90 Euro/Kuchenstück) üblich für ein Café am Chiemsee. Toller Ausblick auf den See und ruhig gelegen da das Café etwas abseits einer nahen Straße gelegen ist. Parkplätze vorhanden. Die Tische wurden noch während die Gäste saßen, für nachfolgende Gäste reserviert, die bereits warteten. Man fühlte sich dadurch etwas unter unausgesprochenen Zeitdruck gesetzt. Ambiente, auch innen, sehr schön.
