Leider war die Parade des angeblich frischen Backhähnches kaum kleinzukriegen. Der Kellner nett, aber nich wirklich empathisch als wir es reklamiert haben. Für so ein Essen noch Geld verlangen ist wirklich allerhand. Da gehe ich nicht mehr hin.

Been there twice during our vacation. We had reserved our table online beforehand. The portions are big enough and it tasted very good. Even the children's portion of schnitzel was very large. Here, at the daughter's request, the fries were replaced with potato salad. The service was very friendly and accommodating both times. If we are there again we will definitely come back.

Restaurant is located in the center. Menu is not extensive, but there is plenty of choice. Food was good. We ate there several times. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy, the service friendly and helpful. I recommend everyone to eat here.

We have come together here for a family reunion from 3 continents. It is incredibly embarrassing and really a shame when the following is true: * the rooms are very small (not a holiday apartment as booked) * Kitchen is very poorly and pointlessly equipped (all rooms had other items). * Various things (garbage, pacifiers, apples, etc.) from other guests could be found under the couch, and conveniently also the TV remote control. * the beer garden at the back is so loud that you can't open the windows - so in the summer it's so stuffy and hot in the room that you can't sleep. Not even the child! * But at the front is the main street - you can't sleep there either. * the room wasn't cleaned once in 7 nights!!!! We checked several times, but the towels were changed once. * the restaurant downstairs is ok, but the service has its Upper Bavarian charm - i.e. tourists are not welcome!!! Very unfriendly - just looking for a tip but not wanting to provide the service in return. Our recommendation: look for something clever!! Every campsite offers more! Strangely enough, there is no one who feels responsible. There is only communication via What’s App… this person responds very sporadically.

We ate and drank in this inn on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 on our return journey from Tyrol. Was very tasty. But when I paid, the waiter was very focused on my tip. The amount was 64.20 euros and I then said 68.00 euros to which I gave him a 50.00 and a 20.00 euro note, then he said he couldn't give it out. When I took the 20 euro note again and put down a 10 euro note and 7.50 euros in change he said but they said 68.00 euros. (insolence)

This is our third stopover on the way to Croatia. Reserved online for the first time while on the go 👍 The food is wonderful - we've eaten schnitzel with potato salad every time. The service is very friendly and quick ☺️ There was also a musical entertainment program, which we always enjoyed. The location is great - inside and out. The toilets are clean. Price increase in the last 3 years is minimal 👍 Unfortunately there are a lot of mosquitoes, but that has no influence on the restaurant rating 😂 I can't judge the hotel/room, we have our own bed. Thank you very much and probably see you next summer, provided our holiday destination is the same ☺️

We spontaneously called there today and got a table for 5 p.m. Please reserve in advance as it is very busy. The staff is very nice and accommodating, drinks and food are brought quickly (depending on the number of visitors). A small deficiency: I didn't have enough sauce😉 (fun, I'm from Franconia and I need a lot of sauce for my toilet😉). It was very nice and we will recommend it and come again.

A dream! The inn and the beer garden are always worth a visit! Here, holiday/day guests as well as locals😁 come together in the town center of Chieming and are pampered by a very motivated, friendly team. Many great events round off the normal operations in summer and winter (Bavarian evenings, parties for over 30s, Christmas market, and much more). Keep it up!!!

Great boss and team. You can easily hold events here. But the cozy beer garden is also always worth a visit. I have recommended the rooms several times. They are chic and comfortably furnished.

Since we had already pulled up roots today because no one served us and left us standing, we asked an employee if we could have a table for two people. He told us he had no more capacity so we could leave. Anyone who runs a shop like this has to deal with a lot of guests under this name. We're never coming back! That's not how a restaurant runs... Very bad... It's a shame you can't give no star. We then went to the Oberwirt in Chieming, highly recommended.😏

Very unfriendly staff! We (2 adults + 1 child) were simply turned away at 8:15 p.m. without asking whether we wanted food or drink. We were told that the kitchen would close at 8:45 p.m. and there wouldn't be any free tables anyway. But there were still at least two tables available that should have been reserved. It can't be that way if no one can order anything anymore because the kitchen closes in 30 minutes! Absolute impudence!

Very nice beer garden with good Bavarian food

Die Speisen war absolut köstlich, kein 08/15 Biergarten Essen, teils ausgefallene Gerichte und gut abgeschmeckt. Große Portionen, regionale Produkte, sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Wunderschöner Biergarten, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen absolut nicht nachvollziehen.

We wanted to fortify ourselves with an iced coffee in the shade after a bike ride in the beautiful garden. Two thirds of the garden was empty, but we were only allowed to sit at a single specific table. After asking if we could sit in another place that would have been more shaded, we refused on the grounds that you can only sit where there is cover. After asking about ice cream, we were simply told chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Apparently there is no ice cream menu. When I asked if there was an iced coffee, the “nice” waiter said rather harshly, “I can do that too.” Two iced coffees were ordered, but unfortunately it wasn't even possible to order a glass of tap water with them. We were very surprised about all of this. But the crowning glory was the iced coffee for €8.90. We have never received such a horrible iced coffee anywhere. The waffle roll was tough, probably ancient, the ice cream in the coffee, which didn't taste like coffee, had to be searched for and the ice cream was mostly water ice crystals. The best part was the whipped cream with the few chocolate chips on top. Once and never again this inn!!!!

Location very good! It's easy to get anywhere on foot, but you can also get anywhere quickly from here by car. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The service is great. Special praise goes out to the restaurant staff! Incredible beer garden with great beer, straight from the tap and a schnitzel like you could only dream of. All in all, definitely more than recommended!

We got a place in the inn without a reservation, despite there being a larger celebration. The young man at the entrance with a cap and tattoo made everything possible. Everyone was super friendly despite the great stress, and the food was a poem. We need something like that in Hamburg!

We stayed in an apartment. The size was sufficient and there were enough appliances for cooking. Our room floor was not cleaned upon arrival. However, this was made up for the next day. The location is excellent. A few minutes walk to the lake and located right in the town center. The beer garden invites you to linger. It was possible to get gluten-free food. The only important thing is that there is NO separate deep fryer for gluten-free fries (we asked the kitchen again specifically for us). The portions of the food are very large and you will definitely be full. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked really good. We can highly recommend the accommodation and also the beer garden.

I spontaneously came here with my son and got a comfortable table. The Bavarian roast pork was to die for! Plus a measure of Chiemsee, perfect.

The review concerns the restaurant. The restaurant decor is pleasant and the selection of dishes is large. The waiters who served us were rude, and the waiter, after pointing out the order in which the dishes were served (we were served soup and a main course at the same time), became downright aggressive, throwing the plate on the table instead of putting it down and allowed himself to comment that he could take away dish and I will leave without dinner. I asked for the manager, who tried to calm down the situation and offered a meal at the restaurant's expense, but we didn't take it. Foreigners are treated differently here than Germans, which is sad.

Billing was not correct at all and the service staff showed no insight.

Great gas farm in the center of Chieming. Beautiful beer garden with live music and public viewing. We recommend the Viennese style schnitzel.

We had booked a company outing for 100 people to Lake Chiemsee with a final stay at the Chiemseer Wirtshaus. Due to the nice weather, the celebration took place in the beer garden (surprisingly, no mosquitoes). Everything we booked came to the point as agreed, the starters, the food, the service deserve 10 stars! Everything, everything was super, I have rarely seen my women and men so happy. Many thanks to the “Chiemseer Wirtshaus Team”, you gave us a successful evening.

We were recently passing through and had lunch at the Chiemsee Wirtshaus. The food was super tasty and came without a long wait. The service was also impeccable. The beer garden is very cozy and there is a wide range of games, especially for children. But what I have to particularly emphasize is the extremely friendly willingness to help. Our daughter had forgotten her favorite cuddly toy in the beer garden and they immediately sent her home to us free of charge. Really extremely accommodating!!!

Been a guest there twice and had the same problems both times, no tables for walk-in customers, only reserved tables, not enough staff when the beer garden was full, staff who forgot their orders and at the EM 24 opening game there was still live music until 9 p.m. + guests the tables to the music and to have reserved public viewing. Big cinema! Prices are also high, comparable to upscale restaurants.

Not family friendly and service only waits for 15 minutes when asked. We had to get the menu ourselves. The food was ok, but nothing more. Not recommendable.

Dear owner, what characterizes a so-called beer garden in Bavaria? I'll tell you: go there, see if there's anything available, order a beer, maybe there'll be a pretzel or something similar, and enjoy. What did things look like for external people yesterday? Half of the tables are free, you are not allowed to sit down yourself. In front of us was an older couple from outside (license plate) he was on foot, she was in a wheelchair. When asked for a place, they were told that nothing would happen without a reservation. The gentlemen had to leave again. It happened to us accordingly. Now the question: why does it say beer garden open and welcome at the entrance if that's not the case? I think I will never try there again and I will simply create negative advertising so that this behavior is rewarded. By the way, I have never experienced this in Munich, where there is a staff shortage. There's always a beer and a pretzel. Long live the Upper Bavarian charm

Beautifully furnished inn. Unfortunately the food can't keep up... Price/performance ratio is not right here at all. Our food was carelessly prepared, lukewarm and rather modest in quantity. Due to the size of the “dining room”, it is very loud when the restaurant is busy. Some of the service staff were attentive and friendly, some unfortunately less of both. Unfortunately, the price and ambience promise something here that is not kept "for the guest". We didn't feel comfortable here and won't come here again.

Very nice beer garden and a sufficient selection of food, where everyone can find something. You can have everything from meaty to vegan. Price-performance ratio is pretty good. The taste of the food was very good, but you also pay more or too much for it. I find a children's plate with 2 bread dumplings and thin sauce for 11 euros very excessive, especially since the dumplings are small. Unfortunately, the crust of the roast pork was cooked to death and therefore not chewable. There were 14 of us, 5 kids under 10, and we had to wait a good hour for food. But we had reserved online. When we politely asked how long it would take, all we got was "You can see what's going on here today." That doesn't have to be the case. A “excuse me” would have done the trick too. Unfortunately, this inn will never see me again.

I knew the restaurant as an underkeeper, but the quality has remained the same. Very tasty and great staff. We recommend.

The inn and the garden delight. The waitresses are very accommodating. However, I didn't think it was okay that you had to wait 80 minutes for the food. Especially because many guests who arrived after us got their food much, much faster. The food was good.

Had reservations for Mother's Day. Waiting time from ordering to eating was 60 minutes. When we asked, we were told it was clear that it would take today. At the tables next to us, people came after us who had already eaten without us even having any food on the table. Because they were so hungry, the large number of children had significantly increased their drinks sales

Insanely good food. Fries are freshly made and the conditions are more than accommodating. Went there this lunchtime by chance and despite it being busy we got a table for 4 adults and two children. We were informed that this could take longer, which was of course understandable to us. The soup came after five minutes and the main courses less than 20 minutes later. Absolutely recommended! We were definitely not there for the last time. We only have a 40 minute drive. From old reviews you read that the portions were too small. Apparently they have made improvements. Pork schnitzel now has two on it and not too small.

We made reservations for Mother's Day and the drinks came quite quickly. However, we waited almost 70 minutes for our food, despite several questions asking when it would come, because we had a few small children at the table who were very hungry. It was just said that we should be more patient. The food was also mediocre, but definitely not worth the money. My currywurst wasn't really tasty, the curry sauce was very sour and actually tasted more like spicy ketchup. I have to say that there was definitely enough sausage, and the fries were delicious too. However, I definitely won't come here again.

Ich war alleine dort und wollte bis zum Eintreffen meiner Frau im Biergarten etwas trinken. Mir wurde im Biergarten ein Platz am äußeren Rand zugewiesen, weil alle Tische reserviert seien. Besetzt waren drei von ca. 20 Tischen. Ich nahm Platz und wartete Zeitung lesend. Nach 24min. (!!!) wurde meine Bestellung (große Weißweinschorle) aufgenommen. Es kam ein großes Tafelwasser (ein Weingeschmack war nicht feststellbar). Nach der Nachbesserung war ein Weingeschmack feststellbar aber lecker ist anders. Meine Frau und ich haben auf ein Abendessen dort verzichtet und sind ins benachbarte Al Dente gegangen.

Das war eine Enttäuschung. Kein Hinweis auf der Homepage oder am Eingang, daß es wegen einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft zu Mittag nur eine limitierte Brotzeitkarte gibt., und das auch noch am Chieminger Marktwochenende. Selbst nach Platzierung Aushändigung der Karte ohne Kommentar, erst bei Nachfrage. Das ist nicht Gäste-freundlich.

Very nice and very large restaurant. It's a shame that you can't see the lake better from the beer garden. But the food and service is very good and the prices are reasonable for the area. Gladly again.

Four of us had dinner here today. The portions were of a good size and very tasty. The prices are appropriate for the times. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. All in all a nice visit.

A very nice, lovingly furnished inn. Modern & Classic. The staff are nice, friendly and accommodating. But not annoying in any way. The beer was of course delicious. And the food, as you would expect. Tasty, classic and good portions.

Just ate. Very nice service and super generous portions. Had ordered fries but came with potato salad. We were promptly given a portion of fries that we didn't have to pay for. Highly recommended again when we are in the corner.

Service was very nice. But unfortunately the food was nothing. The lamb shank came with mashed potatoes as a side dish, which was spread so thinly on the plate that it was already cold. And the lamb fillet that came with it wasn't fried pink, as stated on the menu. The chef is definitely overestimating his abilities. Unfortunately the complaint was not received. It's a shame because it's a very child-friendly restaurant. By the way, the children's portions are huge.

We only visited the restaurant, so the review only refers to the gastronomic part: We ate there as a family and have to say that both the ambience and the service were really top. It's cozy and you feel well looked after by the service. Unfortunately, only the food was a total failure. We had asparagus (undercooked) with potatoes (cold) and a hollandaise sauce (which was warmed up in the microwave and was completely foamy) and a schnitzel which was very small. Even the schnitzel from the children's plate was twice as big 🫣 My wife had a beetroot risotto with a salmon trout. Unfortunately the risotto was still completely hard and not really edible. The service responded really nicely and asked if we would like something on the house. But unfortunately the dinner and the evening could no longer be saved. A pity…..

My review refers to the restaurant. Beautiful, stylish restaurant with a beer garden. The service staff is ambitious. We can recommend schnitzel and roast. However, Kasspatzn are not recommended as they were served floating in cream. I also can't recommend the burgers. You can put this together with a few ingredients, but the patty was thick and firm and you had to use strength even with a knife and fork. Both dishes urgently need to be improved!

We were at the inn for dinner with 5 people. The food was excellent, the service was quick, very friendly and competent. Atmosphere, decoration, mood - everything just makes you feel good! We'll definitely be back soon! Thanks!!!!

Over 30 crazy, we were there! 10€ entry, in the Schwemm instead of the promised Austro-pop, usual boredom and loud but poor quality music in the event hall, with an absolute lack of drinks. When my wife asked, “What’s the 10€ entrance fee for?” "Look at all the security, we need FUN WITH SECURITY!"

War wieder mal kurz auf Besuch. Unglaublich, die Steigerung. Das Essen schmeckt Billiger, die Bedienung Arroganter, ein Hauch von Bayerisch Wild West. Es ist ja überall (etwas) teurer geworden, aber hier fragt man sich besonders warum??

Drinnen kann ich nicht beurteilen, haben 2 x bei einer Radtour draußen gesessen. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und bayrisch fleischlastig. Vegetarier müssen suchen, für Veganer hab ich garnichts gefunden. Da ist noch sehr viel Luft nach oben. Das Bier ist süffig, der Service war sehr freundlich.

Wonderful “room” under the attic. More of a cozy one-room apartment with a kitchenette and a double bed. Quite quiet, only the doors close a bit loudly. WiFi included in cable TV Gastronomy was very good, reasonable prices for the quality offered. Pulled gravy, delicious salad dressing. Schnitzel neatly breaded, no obvious shaped meat.

Been there for the second time, never again! When we went in we were seen and greeted. We looked for a place (the room wasn't even half full). When the waiter came with the menu, I asked kindly if he could please wipe the table - after there was no response from him. He said, “you can do it”. He went to get a rag. (In my opinion, you should do this as soon as the table is cleared). When he was back at our table he said out of nowhere, quite annoyed: "We're seating the people, you chose the table yourself." I just asked politely. In addition, we could have been stopped in the entrance area or pointed out. With all my love, you should think about whether you should continue with the job. Something so unpleasant! Unfortunately this is the second time I've experienced it.... Really never again! PS: If people are not allowed to find their own space, you have to welcome the guests properly! It wasn't extremely busy now. We then left...

We stopped here after the walk at Lake Chiemsee and had a really delicious meal. The dogs were also welcome. You can recommend the inn without hesitation.

As a mother with a child, I ordered an adult portion and a children's portion. Since we wanted to share the food, I was so dressed down by the waiter in front of our friends that it probably wasn't acceptable for me to eat a children's portion. This has never happened to me before, and the waiter shouldn't care who eats which portion! The tone topped it all off, the inn will never see us again!

We had the young bull steak, the Chiemsee risotto with beetroot and the Tafelspitz. Everything was really delicious. The kids had a short wait, partly because there is a playroom and partly because the children's meals were there straight away.

Really nice interior and central between Chiemsee and the main street. The food was generally tasty, but the portions were disappointing for the price. 80 euros for two people until you're full is very expensive. We ordered two fries for the main course, and at 4.50 per portion they really weren't worth the price. But without that, no one would have been fed. Our companion also ordered an extra salad, fries and a dessert to fill us up. The only thing that appealed to us on the dessert menu were the curd dumplings. We saw €9, yes that will definitely be enough for the two of us. Given the price, you would expect a reasonable amount. Disappointment here too. 2 dumplings and a scoop of ice cream, both quite small. I also found the service to be rather mediocre, we had to wait a long time for drinks to be taken, and the service seemed rather unmotivated. Conclusion: We probably won't come back. What we ate was delicious, but the price was more than inadequate. You shouldn't go out to eat here if you're hungry, otherwise you'll go home hungry. A pity

Very well run inn. Modern but still cozy. Clean and bright. The employees are all very accommodating and you are served quickly. All very child friendly. It is advisable to make a reservation in the evening, as due to the good location, friendliness of the staff and good food, the tables are almost all occupied every evening between 5.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.

We went to the Chiemsee Wirtshaus for Burger Friday with 6 children and four adults. The waitresses were quick, super friendly and gave good tips on how to put together the burgers. Special requests were responded to very nicely and even as a vegetarian I had a good selection. The kids had fun in the games area while we adults had a good time. The burgers themselves were super tasty and the portions were large, but not excessive. Full recommendation from us!

Herrliches Ripperl Essen!!!, schön gewürzt, sehr zartes Fleisch,und leckere saucen !!!!!! Die Portion könnte allerdings, ein wenig mehr sein. Machts weiter so !!!!!!

Viel in die Einrichtung investiert, aber vergessen in Qualität und Freundlichkeit zu investieren!! Wer schnell mal Hunger hat, eine Nuance besser wie MC Donald. Wer nur ein Bierchen trinken und ein bischen Bayrischen Flair sucht, der ist mit dem Kiosk am See weitaus besser bedient. Selbst bei Eteka oder an der Tankstelle trifft man nettere Leute. Aber das ist halt so in Chieming!!

Schöne Lage, schönes Lokal. Der Service war sehr gut . Dafür 5 Sterne. Die Küche war .... für Hungrige Mägen ausreichend. Für den Preis hätte ich mir mehr erwartet . Das Essen war genießbar aber sehr enttäuschend. Dafür 2 Sterne. Für mich ergibt sich hier 3 Sterne. Was hilft ein tolles Team vorne wenn die Küche es nicht schafft . Schade.

Sehr leckeres Essen liebevoll zubereitet! Leider recht laut im Speisesaal... Daher kein Ort zum längerem verweilen, wobei die Deko und Einrichtung wirklich hübsch sind. Die Kellner sind alle flink .

Wir haben gut gegessen ,wurden freundlich bedient, der Saal war voll leider war es so laut, dass eine Unterhaltung nur schwer möglich war, trotzdem kommen wir wieder. Leider konnten wir nicht im Biergarten sein, es regnete.

Ich war mit meiner Familie im Wirtshaus zum Burgertag,der jeden Freitag dort stattfindet. Wir waren total begeistert, das Essen war super und das Personal sehr freundlich .
