They serve delicious schnitzel here. The service was very fast, and the food was freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the noise level gets very high when the dining room is full.

Best inn in the region 🤗. We went there today on Kirta Sunday for a duck dinner with our son. We've been coming for years and can only recommend the Chiemsee Inn to everyone – the food is always fantastic, and the service is fast and friendly. We even celebrated our wedding there, so we're always happy to come back. Keep up the good work and see you soon 😊

I can only review my meal, which wasn't good. I had a roast beef with onions and fried potatoes. My meal was served lukewarm, and the meat was dry and tough. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant because the price-performance ratio isn't right.

We had dinner at the inn on September 28th and had made a reservation. It was busy. The service was prompt and very friendly. The selection on the menu was good, and we all enjoyed it. Definitely recommended.

Disappointing!!! Great menu, you think you're getting super fresh food, but you're actually served reheated convenience food. The sprouts on the salad were moldy. The cheese dumpling was actually a bread dumpling...but when I asked, they replaced it with the explanation that the chef had tasted it and it had been cheese dumplings before...Better go to another restaurant; you can get better food almost anywhere, and the prices are hefty, too.

Hello, we were only here for one night while passing through, but we would stay longer next time. Everything was excellent: the food, the room, the beer garden, and the friendliness. The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to the village and the lake! It's also a lovely place to linger. We highly recommend you.

Wow, what a treat! The truly amazing dishes on offer made it difficult to choose. We opted for the dumpling trio and the roasted chicken breast with a sesame crust, melon salad with feta and garlic. A poem!!! An explosion of flavors! We thank the young man for his fantastic, friendly, and radiant service. Our stay here was the crowning glory of our wedding anniversary. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We were "only" here for dinner, so no review for the room. A very nice beer garden with lots of trees, the tables are very spaciously set out, so you can't hear every word from the next table, whether you want to or not. Service: Very friendly, courteous, and attentive. The food was delicious and the portions were very large. Unfortunately, the onion roast beef wasn't cooked to the desired degree, and instead of medium-rare, it turned out to be noticeably medium. The quality of the meat, however, was excellent. Nice play area for children, who loudly rattled the pebbles down the slide, but children are also on vacation, so - close your ears and get through it ;) There was plenty of free parking, and the location is also easily accessible on foot if you're staying in Chieming. Will definitely be my first choice for good food on my next visit.

Central hub of the village of Chieming..... A beautiful structure with a brewery, restaurant, garden and rooms/apartments on the upper floors... Everything very well kept with beautiful furnishings.... Excellent food and fantastic beer.... 😍 all 50 meters from the lake.... I'll be back...👏💪

We've eaten here several times. It's simply amazing every time! The schnitzel is buttery soft and tastes fantastic, as does the potato salad. For me, it's the best schnitzel I've ever had. The service is also very good; the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The outdoor beer garden is very nice and cozy. Especially on weekends and when the weather is nice, you should definitely make reservations early for dinner, ideally a day in advance.

The four of us ate in the inn's beer garden today. We had roast pork and ox rashers; both dishes were excellent, and the price/performance ratio was excellent. The service is excellent; the waiters are quick and friendly, and they also help with any food intolerances. The beer garden is second to none. We'll be back, thank you for the lovely evening.

A very large and typical Bavarian beer garden, surrounded by mature trees, about 50 meters from Lake Chiemsee. We were there in August during peak holiday season. With a few exceptions, the service staff consisted of young, very friendly, and efficient people who also had a background in the food. Very well selected and trained. I also have to commend the regular staff. There is a large selection of dishes. The quality of the food is very high, and the price is absolutely reasonable. Despite the size of the restaurant, it is anything but mass-produced; we were completely satisfied and pleasantly surprised. We will be back.

We ate at the inn as a family with a small child and were very satisfied. We received a warm welcome and service, despite not having a reservation. The food was very good, and there's a great children's play area.

The name, the location, the service. There's nothing to complain about here. The food was good, but nothing special. The dumplings were the size and tasted like boil-in-the-bag dumplings. One of those for kids with a ladle of gravy for €5.90 is quite something. Ordered four half-liters, and they all looked like someone had already had a good drink. But the waiters didn't care when asked. An average noise level of 70 dB made things a bit uncomfortable. The schnitzels were okay, as was the roast pork.

I celebrated my 60th birthday at the Chiemsee Wirtshaus with 25 people. We were seated in the small room, which was beautifully decorated. From the very beginning, we were treated with great friendliness and attentiveness by all the service staff who attended. Everyone praised the food, both in terms of quality, quantity, and taste. We would definitely be happy to return and can only warmly recommend it.

We were extremely happy with both the accommodation and the food in the lovely beer garden, which is unfortunately closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Our room faced the street, which was a bit noisy at times! Otherwise, everything was great! We'd love to come back!

I've been a guest at the Chiemseer Wirtshaus for years and I'm simply impressed by the young team's attentive and friendly service. I like the online reservation feature because you don't just wander aimlessly through the restaurant or beer garden. I like the play area inside for the kids.

Bad reviews seem to get deleted here. Mine can't be found anymore, which is strange. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it at all. We've been there twice and never again. The service was unfortunately not good. When we sat down at a table on our second visit (no one was available to show us the table), a waiter came by and didn't notice that the table was still dirty. It's not a big deal, but on the second visit, they should notice, or rather, the tables should be cleaned immediately after use. I then politely (!) asked for the table to be wiped, to which the waiter replied in an unfriendly tone, "Well, if they just sit there." The restaurant wasn't overly busy, so they should be able to clean the tables right away. Honestly, if you don't want guests to find their own seats, you have to have someone stationed in the entrance area to greet them and show them to a table. I've rarely experienced such unfriendly behavior. We then left. On our first visit, there was no cutlery at the table, and our request was ignored. We finally got some from the table next to us. The food took a long time and wasn't great.

A great restaurant. We were there yesterday between 2 and 5 p.m. and had a delicious meal. I'm looking forward to trying the evening menu. It's a lovely, pleasant atmosphere. It's also a great way to cool off after yesterday's heat. The interior is very traditionally decorated, and the outdoor space is well utilized. Very friendly staff.

Everything just fits perfectly here! Great rooms and a fantastic inn. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly. There's even a special play area for the kids. Everything is set in an authentic atmosphere and is very well maintained. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Looks great, a typical Bavarian beer garden. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a seat for two, even though 80% of the seats were free. We could have eaten at the snack bar, but the prices put us off. So we went somewhere else.

We had a wonderful evening at the Chiemsee Wirtshaus: great food, a wonderful selection of drinks, and very friendly and cheerful service. The location is a dream. What was truly rude, however, were the other vacationers; they had no understanding of why a table should be reserved at a vacation spot and a restaurant right on Lake Chiemsee. The guests were so pushy and inconsiderate. It's insane what the staff put up with.

Four of us went to dinner at the Chiemsee Wirtshaus this evening. We had already eaten there on vacation last year. Four different dishes. Everything was absolutely excellent. The portions were very generous and generous. Very fresh, absolutely delicious. 5 out of 5 stars. Perfect service, very friendly. You feel truly welcome. I highly recommend it. If the weather is good, be sure to book a table outside; it's a great location. Lots of events, simply fantastic. We'll be back. The food and prices are also absolutely top-notch.

A professionally run establishment, the entire team impressed us with their relaxed and warm, yet also obliging, friendliness. The selection and quality of the food was also excellent. We went there for dinner with 13 people. The service was super friendly, and the food was prepared quickly, despite the beer garden being packed, a christening, and a wedding. All the dishes were delicious, and the value for money was definitely good.

We were at the Chiemsee Wirtshaus on the occasion of our dad's 88th birthday on May 4th, 2025 - and it was a completely successful visit! The service was extremely friendly and attentive, we were warmly welcomed and well looked after. The food was excellent: from crispy chicken to a juicy schnitzel to tender roast pork - everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. We were impressed by the ambience: modern and at the same time rustic and cozy – just a place to feel good. The location directly on Lake Chiemsee is fantastically beautiful. Next time – hopefully in warmer weather – we would like to sit outside in the inviting beer garden. A big thank you to the entire team – we will definitely be back!

I have known the Chiemseer-Wirtshaus, formerly Unterwirt, for many years. Yesterday I went to the inn for the first time in a long time and was thrilled. Great and exceptionally renovated and remodeled. Friendly staff, a young, fresh new tenant brings enthusiasm and power to this old traditional restaurant. In summer the garden is exceptional and recommended. The hotspot in Chieming. We were thrilled and would love to come back. Good luck for the future 🥰

The food tastes good, but unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not as good as what you get outside. You can tell that the prices are adjusted to the tourists and the service is unfortunately sometimes very uncoordinated. But the location is very nice.

The Chiemseer Wirtshaus actually has a great location and good food in a beautiful beer garden under the trees not far from the lake. Unfortunately the music, loud 70's and 80's pop, is annoying and doesn't fit the ambience. Unfortunately, the food came a little late, about 40 minutes after ordering.

Very tasty food and friendly waiters/waiters!! Tried Vitello Forello today, incredibly tasty, highly recommended! There's always something special on the menu that you can't find in other restaurants, but there are still normal standard dishes. And for vegetarians there is something different like always cheese spaetzle, e.g. Bowls, peppers with Saitan etc. Really good! What is also worth highlighting is the great children's play area!!

We were at the last girls' market! We ordered cheese dumplings there. When paying, the price asked differed significantly from the menu. The rest was only refunded reluctantly. There was no apology from the waiter. Portion was also small and nothing special. We didn't want to complain about this. But now! When we tried to register at the next girls' market in the inn, we didn't get a place. At first it said on the website that the booking was on February 1st, 2025. When we asked by email it said that we should book ourselves on the website. But the function didn't work at 8 a.m.! Suddenly at 9:30 a.m. it said it was now fully booked. We then called there and the lady on the phone actually said that the ordering function was activated at 9 a.m. and that everything was fully booked within 15 minutes. We don't believe that! In fact, all places were probably already fully booked. By the way, the exhibitors' offerings aren't that great either. We can only warn against visiting and trying to take part there!

Unusual! Rooms authentic, super cozy and smartly equipped. Great price-performance ratio. Food - just awesome, fresh, super delicious Bavarian cuisine. The ambience 80 m from Lake Chiemsee is incredible and even in winter the beer garden is decorated for Christmas and you can sit around fire bowls.

The restaurant scores with its location and a nice ambience. Both in the beer garden and in the restaurant. So much for the positive arguments... Unfortunately, the service is very inattentive and the menu is small (which is generally not a negative thing). However, the food doesn't seem freshly prepared either. I can't recommend the burgers that are available to assemble there on Fridays.

Quaint inn, good location right on Lake Chiemsee. Friendly service staff, despite a lot of guests on Saturday evening. Online reservation worked well. We were even able to change our table in the inn and sit at the window facing the beer garden. Hearty Bavarian dishes. Pork knuckle was very good, as was Wiener schnitzel. Relatively small menu, so we didn't have to wait long for our food. The Chiemseer Wirtshaus in Chieming is really recommended.

Great lakeside location! Unfortunately the menu is very traditional - there is little choice of vegetarian options. I had the daily dish Zuericher Geschnetzeltes of veal with bread dumplings - unfortunately the meat was very hard and not at all tender. Ambiance but nice - service also friendly.
