This is SPARTA, very nice people and the food hasn't been this great in a long time.

Very stylish and modern decor, especially for a Greek restaurant. Without a reservation, it will be difficult to get a table.

Unfriendly staff, completely overwhelmed. It has to be said that several people complained that it was so cold because they opened the top To which they answer: We leave it open for another 5 minutes and then we close the top But after 20 minutes it still hasn't happened. The food was also a bit disappointing. The potatoes and salmon weren't completely cooked through and the salmon was quite oversalted. The noodles weren't completely cooked through and the portions were extremely large. Little choice when it comes to vegetarian food. All in all not recommended.

Super super delicious. We had gyros with fries and I can eat a lot, but I couldn't manage this large portion and we took the rest home with us. They already have a lot of bowls under the counter for customers to pack :), I would even give this more than 5 stars.

Very nice atmosphere. I recommend pre-booking a table. The food is very tasty. The beer prices in particular are definitely too high. We were there on Sunday lunchtime, the food was excellent and very fresh, no mass-produced food was really freshly cooked. The atmosphere is very cozy and stylish.

We had lunch at Sparta. Nice ambience (but: some tables are positioned a bit too closely), professional service, delicious food (but: with Metaxssauce I would have expected a little more Metaxa taste). Reservations, even at lunchtime, are recommended. No wonder given what is served on the plates at Sparta. We'll definitely come back.

The two of us had dinner at Sparta. It was fantastic! It is recommended to reserve a table in advance because it was very busy. We came from Bremerhaven and the trip was definitely worth it! Not only was the welcome very warm, but the service and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The ambience is very attractive and inviting. We had a very tasty starter, a main course and then a dessert. The food was very tasty and the portions were really very generous and the selection of dishes was really huge. The food was really fantastic! We haven't eaten so well in a long time. Price performance is great! We would be happy to come back very soon. A big shout out to Atha! I've eaten in many Greek restaurants in Bremen and Umzu, but this is by far the best food for me!! I can't go to any other Greek place anymore! We have been here every Saturday for a year. The food is really the best!

Other restaurants get worse over time - Sparta gets hotter over time however they manage it🙏

Yummy! Either reserve a table in advance or order food to be picked up, you can really enjoy the food. The staff is also on point, even if there is a lot to do. Food is also on the table quickly, no long waiting times.

I was there today with my family for family dinner. There were about 15 of us, including 6 children, and they kept busy with the art supplies we brought with us. Our order was taken early and then came in stages. Except for 3 meals from the children who came more than 30 minutes later, everything was good. After such a long wait, the children got up (one of them was probably in the way of the lady from the service) and were told "why aren't you sitting on your chair?" and that was very unfriendly. I can't say anything bad about the food, it was very tasty and the portions were good. At the end we were asked how we wanted to pay (unsolicited) and families paid individually. So far so good...until the good lady still has a few things unfinished at the end. Then she started to say loudly "I'll get the bill then we'll see who hasn't paid" very loudly so that half the shop was already looking at us with derogatory looks. After a lot of back and forth, it became clear that the lady had made the mistake. No apology or anything like that, just a "finally done with you" as a farewell with a look that shows you that you weren't wanted. With so many people who are nice and have a sensible demeanor, you expect that you will be well served.

It's been a long time since we've been to Sparta, the food was OK to good, but nothing special. The food and drinks were brought in good time, there were no further questions, we would have liked to have had something to drink. But what really bothered us was the enormous volume in the restaurant, everything was very cramped and set up for maximum capacity.

Great restaurant with incredibly delicious food. Very busy and accordingly full - but if that doesn't bother you, you'll be rewarded with insane portions and really, really great food :-) Unfortunately, it was only found at second glance (the exit to the restaurant is somewhat hidden or is not recognized as such at first glance). But we'll be happy to come back because of the nice service and the great food :-)

Even the table selection was sobering. We called the day before and wanted to reserve a table and were told this wasn't necessary. Then we wanted to sit at a free table which we were denied and instead we were given a table right by the entrance door where it was very drafty. A short time later, guests who didn't have a reservation arrived and were assigned the table that we were denied. The food was dry and not very tasty. The prices were excessive. Conclusion: Once and not again! We stay with our regular Greeks in Bremer Neustadt.

I always enjoy going there, the food tastes delicious, the portions are big enough to fill you up (dishes on the lunch menu are a bit smaller, but sufficient) and, as befits a Greek, there's a delicious cold ouzo on the house before and after your meal.

We were there and were not served. We called and asked beforehand, arrived very nicely, but were greeted with a disparaging attitude at the entrance. Were dressed normally. We were quiet and had asked several times that we wanted to order. Nothing. The table was preferred to be cleaned. Never again!

Disastrous service and complete chaos! We had reservations for 8:30 p.m., but like several other groups before us who had been waiting for a long time, we simply couldn't get a table. Waiting for over an hour despite a RESERVATION – an absolute disgrace! Why is this restaurant taking reservations if it is clearly unable to honor them? The management doesn't care one bit about the guests, no apology, no explanation, nothing. I have never experienced anything so unprofessional. Go somewhere else, here you will only be held back and disappointed! Never again!

Very tasty food, large portions and excellent service!

We had reserved a table at 8:30pm for a birthday dinner. Despite having a reservation, when we arrived we were told we would have to wait 10-15 minutes. After this time, we were then told that we had to wait another 30 minutes. While we waited outside in the cold, there was no communication from the staff - no apology, no explanation. To make matters worse, new guests who arrived after us were seated straight away while we continued to be ignored. After waiting for over an hour, we went to the restaurant to address the situation but were completely ignored. Nobody from the staff came to us or showed any understanding. Instead we had to call to even get a response, which was completely incomprehensible to us. It seems like the staff has time for their customers on the phone but not on site. We ended up waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes without ever getting a table. We left the restaurant disappointed, with no apology, no explanation and no solution of any kind. The behavior of the staff was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful. It seemed like they didn't care about the guests' well-being as they preferred to smoke outside rather than talk to us. That evening was a complete disappointment and the birthday was ruined. Unfortunately we can't rate either the food or the ambience as we didn't get the opportunity to do so. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's a disgrace the way customers are treated here.

Reservation? Apparently just a word without meaning. We stood in the cold for an hour because there was no space available - despite a confirmed reservation. No service, no solution, no apology. Absolutely ridiculous and definitely the last time!

All good BUT what do you think about the rice? No one out of 10 people at the table wants that. And the ouzo...phew no.

The restaurant has very nice rooms, is clean and the seating is comfortable. The service is courteous, friendly and you never have to wait long for anything. Wishes are implemented without any problems. The food was very tasty and was more than enough to fill you up. The plates in particular can satisfy your hunger. The gyros and meat were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The restaurant gets my full recommendation.

Sparta a Greek restaurant with a modern atmosphere and with the normal Greek dishes such as gyros and souvlaki and more. But that's plenty! Otherwise the service is friendly and everything is very clean

A great restaurant! It was our first time with the family at Sparta. We reserved a table in advance (recommended, especially in the evenings, it's super crowded) and had a great seat. The restaurant is modern and simply beautifully designed, you immediately felt at home and it was totally comfortable. The food and drinks were really a dream, we have rarely eaten such good Greek food. As it got busier the service slowed down a bit, but all in all it was a lovely day. Price performance is mega.

ANOTHER GREEK WHO NOT ONLY SERVES FROM THE GRILL BUT ALSO OFFERS GOOD FOOD FROM THE KITCHEN. SERVICE NE 1 LIKE THE FOOD. BUT THE AMBIENCE STILL LEAVES ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. HAD A PLACE IN THE WINTER GARDEN WITH PLASTIC WALLS, WHEN THE SHOP IS FULL IN WINTER, WATER ALSO COLLECTS ON THE CEILING.

Food very tasty, service friendly but all in all very loud and crowded

Yesterday I was at Sparta again after a few years and unfortunately I have to say that I had different memories of the restaurant. What should be positively highlighted is the overall attentive and friendly service and the decent quality of the food. However, we will not be coming back as the concept is apparently increasingly geared towards masses and no longer for customers who want to eat in a relaxed manner in a small group. It was very loud and cluttered, you could hardly have a conversation. We were given a bistro table that was halfway in the doorway and wobbling, even though we had reserved it several days in advance. According to the service, an exchange was not possible - at least an attempt was made to add paper. Ok, the place was full, but when I pay almost 80 euros for a meal for two (which I think is reasonable for the food), I expect a different atmosphere. The Sparta is certainly interesting for Christmas parties or company parties with larger groups, but in my opinion it is no longer interesting for a cozy meal for two.

The ambience is very nice. Unfortunately Sparta always has the feeling of a train station, it is always full and there is a lot of coming and going. Quite loud. It's hard to have a conversation in the winter garden when it's full. The food was good. The portions are more than generous. (for 2 days). Prices have exploded there. Better smaller portions for better price. Service has to do a lot, so it's not so personal.

Really, really highly recommended and we will definitely be back! But you should definitely make a reservation in advance, at least on weekends, as it can be really full...which is of course no surprise given the fantastic food! A really very good Greek restaurant. Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait a little bit, but that wasn't a problem. There are different seating arrangements: Short sofas give the restaurant something cozy. There are also different small tables for 1 to 2 people. Since it is a very large restaurant, the noise level is higher. But the service has everything in view and you can reorder at any time. We'll definitely be back!

The food is great, sitting in the heated winter garden is just under 4 degrees and the wind outside is a bit drafty in some places, but it also means there is good air. Service professional/friendly. There were many other groups there at the same time as our group and the store was full. There are deductions for the toilets! Men's toilet (only one and therefore far too few for the size of the company) extremely cold, as all windows are open and heating is off, and no scent diffuser or similar for better smells. And I only knew from train station toilets that the only toilet doesn't even have a toilet seat (!!!!). Not possible in a restaurant!! The money probably ran out during the renovation, which is a shame. So it's better to just eat a little and go home quickly before something bothers you.😱 .

Update. The restaurant is still good, but unfortunately it has become a bit noisy and hectic. The flesh is real tastes great and juicy. But what the hell happened to the coleslaw!? Extremely coarsely cut and completely tasteless. No comparison to the previous coleslaw, please change it again. Update October 21, 2024 Thank you, the coleslaw is delicious again and the rest of the meal was too. Highly recommended again!

I would like to share my feedback about the restaurant. The restaurant itself is nicely designed, but the food wasn't tasty and the time we had was very limited. We only had 2 hours, of which we spent 1 hour and 20 minutes waiting for our food - that was terribly long. When our food finally came, the fish was terribly oversalted and inedible. Before we could even finish our food, the waiter urged us to leave because our table was reserved for other guests. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone and I won't be coming back myself.

Greek restaurant, ate from the smaller lunch menu, delicious selection of Greek components, fast service, clean toilet, lively activity on this Saturday lunchtime, parking spaces right in front of the door.

On October 3rd I was there for lunch with a group of 14 people. We really liked the new atmosphere. What I missed, however, is a wardrobe. Especially now in autumn people wear thicker jackets. Storing these in their place is stupid. All guests have this problem. After the complaining, now the praise: The different dishes were served at the same time and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely come back.

When you invite so many people over that you can't even leave out the cheese from the only dish that's vegetarian due to an intolerance (when asked, they say it's too full to change things), that's just massively bad service in my opinion. Of course, as a vegan or vegetarian I don't expect to have a huge choice at a Greek restaurant but sometimes, as in this case at a company dinner, you can't choose the restaurant. It wouldn't be a problem if you could just leave out the cheese, but apparently so many guests are invited that quantity is more important than quality in service. It was loud and crowded, but that's no different from Sparta.

We weren't that impressed. The food was okay, but when we were there with a larger group, the service seemed a bit overwhelmed, which had a rather negative effect. Maybe it was due to the day, but in our opinion there were too few staff. In terms of price, we also found it quite expensive in comparison.

The music is too loud, which ruins the otherwise really cozy atmosphere. The food is good and plentiful. What I wasn't so happy with was the tomato rice. This was overall very watery. Maybe that's normal too? Our rump steaks were very tasty. However, more medium than medium well. Even though it was ordered that way. I don't think the surcharge of €1.10 for replacing the inserts is reasonable. Other restaurants do this for free. As long as it involves the same or even less effort, you should avoid it. The side salad was served incorrectly at first, but correctly the second time. Tasted. The Metaxa sauce was really delicious and the fries were also crispy and tasty. The service needs improvement. We were almost cut off on the phone. Without waiting for a goodbye, just excited. In general, the service wasn't that friendly and seemed very stressed even though there wasn't that much going on. Maybe everyone had a bad day.

I recently ate at Restaurant Sparta in Bremen Lesum and would like to share my mixed experiences. Positive: The food was really tasty and I was impressed by the quality of the dishes. There was nothing wrong with the taste and the portions were reasonable. The ambience in the restaurant is also very nice and creates a pleasant atmosphere in which you can actually feel comfortable. Potential for improvement in service: Unfortunately the service was disappointing. One meal in our group came significantly later than the others, without anyone apologizing. It was also difficult to reorder drinks as the staff rarely passed our table and paid us little attention. When we asked for the music to be turned down a little because it was difficult to have a conversation, our request was ignored. Paying also took a long time, which spoiled the experience somewhat. Conclusion: While the food is recommendable and the ambience is very nice, the service could be significantly improved. If more attention and friendliness were shown here, the overall appearance of the restaurant could be significantly improved. I hope that something changes here in the future.

Still one of the best Greek restaurants in Bremen, so it's always very busy, which makes everything a bit busy. The ambience is just great, as is the food 👌🏼👍🏼 the portions are huge, so you get containers to put them in immediately after eating Being able to take leftovers with you. Personally, slightly smaller portions would be enough for me. The prices are very high, but appropriate for the quality and size of the portions. It's definitely too expensive for me to eat there every week, but it's always worth a visit to have a really tasty meal.

Good food, the liver got better but the gyros got worse. Nice atmosphere, but you have to say that somehow everything has gotten worse. The service forgets food or drinks, you get an Ouso as compensation, but when 7 out of 8 people have finished eating and the food for the eighth person is still not there, very bad! The toilet facilities are clean, but nothing works!!! and something is temporarily put there. In addition, the toilet facilities are far too small for the large number of visitors!

We ate at Sparta today and were rather disappointed. The food is okay to very good (two opinions). But the whole ambience around it leaves a lot to be desired. It's far too loud, the mass processing means the waiters no longer notice you*, the modern interior doesn't suit a Greek in my opinion, the parking situation is a disaster. For me, a Greek is warm and cordial in his manner, attentive at all times and unfortunately that wasn't the case here today. *Our food was cleared away and from that point on we were basically dead. After 25 minutes of "ignorance" we asked for the bill independently.
