A true gem in the neighborhood that we unfortunately only just discovered. The owner is super nice, offers great advice, and serves delicious food and wine – highly recommended.

This culinary hideaway offers a perfect escape. Stepping inside, the maroon walls, flickering candles, and soft jazz set the tone for a tranquil evening—those cherished nights that weave deeper connections. It’s a place for intentional slow living, where every detail is curated for your enjoyment. It feels less like a restaurant and more like a dinner party among friends, complete with magazines, books, and board games to occupy your time while you anticipate the meal. And what a meal it is! I savored the potato and eggplant soup—decadent and creamy, with tender eggplant bursting with flavor. Then there’s the focaccia: fresh and spongy, adorned with melty cheese, fragrant pesto, and sun-dried tomatoes—like sinking into the plushest pillow. This isn’t just dining; it’s an experience worth savoring.

This little insider tip is just the thing for a special evening. Daniel (owner and chef) is incredibly personable, and you can immediately tell he's passionate about his food. He takes plenty of time to offer personalized advice. Each dish is unique and could easily have come from a Michelin-starred restaurant. He also offers the perfect wine recommendation. The food is prepared fresh and live. I've rarely tasted anything so delicious. I think the restaurant is perfect for both a special occasion and a truly delicious dinner, and I'll definitely be back!

A wonderful place where the owner is the highlight. A very nice person and extremely dedicated. And an excellent chef. We had a lovely chat after our meal. This place is truly a gem. It was a bit chilly in the dining room, but nothing to write home about.

I had the great pleasure of dining at Redsdeli in Berlin and I can honestly say it was one of the best culinary experiences of my life. The food was simply outstanding – from the freshness of the ingredients to the artful preparation and presentation of the dishes. Every dish I tried was a taste explosion. The menu offers an impressive variety, including both classic and creative, modern dishes. I would particularly like to highlight the [insert popular dish] which was absolutely delicious with a unique combination of spices and a perfect balance of flavors. The ambience in Redsdeli is just as remarkable. There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. Another big plus is the excellent presentation of the food. Each plate is a little work of art that is almost too beautiful to eat. But once you take the first bite, it becomes clear that the taste is in no way inferior to the appearance. I would also like to emphasize the excellent service. The staff is not only friendly, but also very competent and helpful. They respond to individual wishes and ensure that you feel completely comfortable. Redsdeli has managed to create a perfect balance between first-class cuisine and a welcoming ambience. Found it by chance and we were more than rewarded. The food is prepared professionally, freshly and lovingly in the open kitchen. The quality and taste are the best we have experienced in a long time. The owner is uncomplicated and very nice, so you immediately feel very comfortable. We can highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back. 👍

Absolute insider tip | Best restaurant in Kreuzberg ...in advance: The small restaurant should be reserved. The boss cooks alone, directly in front of the guests. This means you can see how your own food is prepared. Great. How great it is to watch the chanterelles (or the gratin or the carrots..) And it takes time. We're talking slow food here and honestly: it's worth every second/minute of waiting! 1. Drinks —> There is a nice selection of wines and beer. But I would always ask the chef what he recommends for his dishes. Trust me: He's great with the wine selection. 2. Food —> I can't put into words how incredibly delicious the freshly cooked food is. Always regional, always freshly selected by the boss and a constantly changing weekly menu. It is a taste between the best grandmother food combined with star cuisine. Honestly: Where did the man learn to cook like that?! (Ps. The best hip hop is playing quietly in the background. Pure happiness.) You can easily see that he enjoys cooking and that he lives good food with every fiber of his being. 3. Atmosphere —> Small but nice. So charmingly furnished, a feel-good atmosphere and everything so cozy and unobtrusive. A bit chiq and a bit casual, a bit vintage and a bit modern hipster. The mixture is amazing. Plus the kitchen in the middle of the room and the heartily entertaining chef. Conclusion —> An absolute insider tip for all Berliners and all tourists. It's rare to find such a great meal! Super essen, super tolle Wein Auswahl, alle mit einer persönlichen Vorstellung vom Chef, der übrigens auch absolut super ist, bin sehr begeistert :)))

1 Mann Betrieb, sehr leckeres Essen, bitte genügend Zeit mitbringen. Das Essen kann telefonisch bestellt werden, ansonsten geniessen wir den Moment of "slow food"!

Sehr nettes kleines Lokal. Sehr grosse Karte, man kann sich kaum entscheiden. Essen war super lecker und der Inhaber äußerst sympathisch. Auf unserer nächsten Berlin Reise kommen wir sicher wieder. :) Man sollte nur etwas Zeit mitbringen, die Speisen werden frisch zubereitet.

Wir hatten gestern einen absolut wunderbaren Abend! Die Zutaten sind ausschließlich regional, der Geschmack hervorragend - und dazu ist Daniel noch ein super netter Gastgeber. Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

Warm and friendly atmosphere... Apart from the food that was really tasty, Daniel was so nice and kind. I'd come back with every chance i could get.

A hidden gem, already for 16 years!

Found this place off the Culture Trip app and we instantly felt home in a city half way around the world. Ordered lentil soup and focaccia with parmesan. The variety of flavors blew me away, with small additions that added to the overall meal. Even though we showed up 1.5 hrs before closing on a rainy day, the owner/chef was more than accommodating and helped us navigate his menu. I don’t care if you have to take 4 busses and a train in a snowstorm, make your way here and your stay in Berlin will be made.

I really enjoyed the braised beef!

Wonderful little restaurant/bar/café whose chef creates beautiful and most important super tasty dishes from regionally produced vegetables and meat. When you visit there, take your time as the chef prepares and cooks every dish on the spot. Sometimes, it takes some time but the food is definitely worth the wait. Try the Deli Coffee and a lemon bar, my favorite treats while sitting on the sunbathed bench in front of the location.

Absolutely delicious and totally recommendable! I was actually looking for Pizza but this was an amazing alternative. I had the Deli plate with two Focaccia and a salad. I was satisfied with a light yet filling meal. I took the Focaccia with sun-dried tomato, pesto, walnut and mozzarella and one with aubergine, parmesan and chili. My goddess, the concert of tastes and flavours rounded up in my mouth. Even thinking about it makes my mouth water again. I also had a long talk with the Chef Daniel and you can tell there is a lot of passion for food in his heart and happening on your plate. He knows what he is doing and he learned from all over the world. You'll be more than satisfied. The wine is also really great. This place invites to sit down, slow down, and enjoy! I am definitely coming back to eat through the whole menu.

Würde gerne mehr als 5 Sterne geben. Hatten gestern einen ganz tollen Abend. Man kann Daniel beim zubereiten der Speisen zugucken und so vergeht die Zeit wie im Flug. Das Essen ist einfach nur ein Fest und der Koch sympathisch und total zugänglich. Klar muss man ein bisschen Zeit mitbringen. Daniel macht schließlich alles alleine aber auch wirklich frisch. Die Preise sind völlig angemessen. Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen, ein Besuch lohnt sich wirklich!

The Açaí smoothie was just as good as the owner suggestion. The focaccia completed my stop there. The service was friendly and we chatted about the menu options. Healthy food and environment... I want to go back soon!

Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Food was great - panini, focaccia etc - and Hieroglyphics' classic 1998 hip-hop album 3rd Eye Vision was playing as we ate, which didn't hurt my overall impression.
