Service with a special charm, super delicious food

Super good restaurant. The Saxon sauerbraten was super tasty. The meat was super tender, the dumplings were very fluffy and the red cabbage was super tasty. The service was very good, we didn't have to wait 15 minutes for the food. All in all, a very clear recommendation!

Wheelchair accessible, really SUPER NICE, courteous staff, solid cuisine and fresh. This applies to several visits at longer intervals.

The service is exceptional... The food was a good B in terms of grade... Every visit is worth it... To the team..."Please keep it up"...

We went to the traditional pub this evening with our visitor from Uruguay. My goodness, we have never eaten so badly and expensively. All the food was there about 10 minutes after ordering, nothing freshly prepared. Tasteless, tough meat and the worst and most unfriendly service we have ever experienced. We were ashamed of our German gastronomy and hospitality.

We were visiting Chemnitz and met up with friends. The council chambers are really great, a real surprise for us from the Allgäu. The ambience and the food are simply great. The service excellent and very friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in Chemnitz. Thanks to the whole team from the council chambers.

Get a table without a reservation. Drinks and food were very good, staff friendly and helpful.

Were a sociable group. Had great service. We would like to thank the staff who worked in front of and behind the scenes on the holiday. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to meet. The quality of the food was very tasty. No matter what it was, the glasses were empty and the polite question came again. We'd love to come back.

Nice place to spend time inside and outside

A nice, quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city, in the middle of the city in the open air: it was a real relaxation after visiting the wine village and with the good food + friendly service = a pleasant end to the day!

We had dinner here, it tasted good, the meals were plated and the price was right. The service staff was very reserved, not unfriendly, but not a smile either and we didn't feel (warmly) welcome either. It was difficult to order and when she came to the table to clear the plates it was not possible to order a cup of coffee. "I'll come back to order." So we had to wait again and she walked past our table several times without taking the order... The service person (or boss or supervisor) behind the counter was extremely nice and friendly and came to almost every table with one Nice saying, actually it works.

The ambience is okay, it was once an old bank with a great atmosphere that I can still remember. The food is rather below average. At first glance it looked nice, but that was just the first impression. Saxon cuisine is characterized, among other things, by delicious sauces. We were 8 people with 8 different dishes. Nobody had enough sauce on their plate. Nobody spoke of outstanding taste. The service was lame and slow, she rarely came to the table. We were probably sitting too far away. We won't be going back here any time soon.

I would like to give 6 stars for the ambience. The council chamber is very attractively furnished. The food is great. I had a delicious starter salad and the steak au four. Very friendly service, as an obvious stranger I was given a very friendly welcome, even if I just wanted dinner for one.

I visit this restaurant regularly as it is the last of its kind in the city center... Here you can get traditional food and drinks in a great atmosphere... The owners have outdone themselves with the decor. It fits perfectly with the spirit of the house, which is one of the rare historic buildings in the city center. The cuisine and service are recommended; you can see that the employees have learned their trade. Conclusion: recommended!👍

We were in the council room on Saturday evening at prime dinner time. Reservations are recommended. In our area we would be served by an extremely friendly and very attentive waiter. The service was excellent despite the restaurant being completely full. This was noticeable both in the communication and in the courteous nature of our service. His job actually seems like a calling to him. Thank you very much, we would love to come back.
