Gartenheim Waldesrauschen Einsiedel in Chemnitz

When I occasionally visit friends back home, we always go out for dinner at different restaurants. The Ratsstube is supposed to be the successor to the Ratskeller, but unfortunately, it has absolutely nothing in common with it anymore. My Würzfleisch (a type of stew) as a starter was the best part, even though it could have used a bit more heat. As for the Sauerbraten that followed, I know that in some restaurants, various side dishes are heated up at the start of the kitchen and then kept warm for hours. But the red cabbage, sorry, it was actually overcooked, slightly mushy, with no structure left in it, not even chewing necessary. The taste was okay, though. The Sauerbraten itself was incredibly tender, which I would have enjoyed if the meat had been cut against the grain instead of with it. It's a shame; they could have simply asked me during the meal, and I would have let them know... so I had to deliver this criticism when they cleared my plate. I don't know if the young man really understood me; he didn't seem to pass it on to the kitchen or even care. ... And then there are some real no-gos for me in the restaurant business. Goose belongs on the table starting on St. Martin's Day, November 11th. And not for weeks beforehand. Period. And please, people, Chemnitz is located at the foot of the Ore Mountains; many people have migrated from here and still adhere to certain traditional customs! Christmas decorations and especially Advent lights only after the Sunday of the Dead! All in all, there was one thing missing at the Ratsstube that I couldn't see, feel, or taste anywhere, and that was the love for the job, the passion for the restaurant, that certain something extra that makes you want to go back... Sorry.

...from the first moment to dessert, everything was excellent. The food was well-seasoned and beautifully presented. The service was very pleasant. The ambiance was stylishly decorated in an industrial style. The next visit is guaranteed!

All in all, unfortunately not worth a single star! Our family chose this restaurant for our youth consecration and unfortunately we were very disappointed. It had been agreed long in advance that a dog would come with us and everything was approved. When we arrived at the restaurant with our dog for my brother's youth dedication, he greeted the family in a friendly manner. Finally we all sat down to order drinks and prepare for the speech and then a terrible moment that ruined the whole evening and the mood came from the older gentleman who worked in the restaurant. He simply told us that the dog had to go and that someone had to sacrifice themselves to go away with this dog, as he would not tolerate it, if this did not happen immediately, he would not serve anyone and the youth consecration would be canceled. The reason for this statement was the breed of my dog, which this man did not even know and only paid attention to appearance. This man was simply from the Stone Age and so tactless and he threw out the dog and therefore also a guest because he didn't like the way my dog ​​looked and he was simply prejudiced. My dog ​​is an American Bully and that was a reason for this man to ruin my brother's entire celebration. I have never experienced anything so unfriendly in my life! I would like to emphasize that this breed is not even a listed dog in Saxony, but the man apparently thought so and simply devalued it for no reason. A query about this was not answered! Immediately thrown out, especially when everyone was already seated and full of hope for a nice youth consecration! He didn't give this dog a chance to get to know each other first! He even obediently lay down under the table next to me! This dog has a companion dog certificate and is an absolutely sweet and friendly dog. I have no words for such arrogant and inhumane behavior. The dog is part of our family like everyone else and my brother also wanted him for his youth dedication. Unfortunately, the whole service was simply subpar... You had to run after your drinks from the bowling alley and go to the waiter to order something, as he was just standing in the corner. Nothing was as it was actually discussed at the beginning, just sad... I am very, very disappointed that this man completely ruined the youth consecration for no reason. there wasn't even an apology. You just have to think about your behavior and your attitude, it's sad that you put such obstacles in the way of a child on such a special day and cause tears!!!

After a relaxing afternoon in the garden, we wanted to have dinner there for my wife's birthday. We had researched it online beforehand (good home-style cooking...), but it also explicitly stated (quote): "Service options: Outdoor seating · Dogs allowed" But that's a complete rip-off (sorry, but I have to put it so bluntly). Our first contact with the waitress revealed (quote): "There's nothing outside, and with a dog, nothing at all." The waitress's entire demeanor also showed that she just wanted to get rid of us. Of course, we recognized the "obvious" thing; we didn't need to be told twice. Thank you for ruining my wife's birthday, I'll refrain from further comments. Gerald Löpelt
