Ratsschänke in Uelzen

We ended up there by chance and I was totally surprised. I was expecting a village inn and then this The tables were beautifully set and the boss (and chef) of the house told us what else he could serve us, even though it was already 3 p.m. We decided on a hunter's schnitzel and a veal schnitzel. Then, completely unexpectedly, we received a greeting from the kitchen: smoked salmon on a superbly seasoned seaweed salad. For the main course: both schnitzels were great and freshly prepared. All the side dishes (dumplings, homemade raw cabbage, side salad) were simply delicious and actually way too much. The boss himself came to see us twice to make sure everything was okay. The service was super friendly. So, a big thank you again to everyone. We will definitely be back. We only paid 55 euros with 2 beers and a large Coke.

The food here was really delicious, as was the polite way customers were treated.

The food used to be good, but that was a long time ago. The staff's arrogance is unbelievable. Any train station restaurant could have done better for breakfast. I don't need that kind of service for that price. Unfortunately, the owner only responds to 5-star reviews, and only occasionally to others. It's easier to ignore bad reviews, after all. Update: The reviews are now constantly filled with apologies. They're not to be taken seriously, as everything is just glossed over without being addressed. The responses are simply ridiculous, as the customer is always in the background while the owner is always pushing to be the center of attention (Oh, the poor guy).
