A really nice ambience, we had booked a 10-seater table, which was in the back end and exuded a really cozy atmosphere thanks to the natural stones of the ceiling and walls and the massive natural wood table. The staff is really great and even took the time to joke and always looked after us. Really great and please keep it up.... 👍

Onion roast in a thick sauce, the slightly thicker parts are not cooked through. I wouldn't order again. Cheeseburger a bit bland, coleslaw with preservatives. Overall overpriced. The rest was fine.

We were there yesterday, the food was delicious but the service was very mixed, my partner's order had to be asked several times because the waiter kept forgetting what he had ordered. When we made the reservation we mentioned that it was a birthday dinner and there was no small attention or congratulations - I know that from restaurants.

There is nothing wrong with the food at all. Really incredibly delicious. The beer tastes great and the waiting times were completely fine and there were 4 of us. With 2 small children, every second counts. Thanks to the pleasant location right on the market square, the children could also be kept busy. An incorrectly delivered dessert was replaced with the correct one without any eye rolls etc. We only wished that the desserts came together, so it's best to ask when ordering how you would like it. Absolute recommendation for this restaurant.

Very good food but very expensive

Food was a bit disappointing. Onion roast roast was rather bland in terms of taste. The fried potatoes only saw the pan for a few seconds and apart from two pieces, they weren't crispy. Classic roast is with roast beef/beef and not pork. And if I use pork then it has to be done. Price/performance doesn't fit when it comes to food. It's a shame, but maybe I'll try a different dish next time.

While looking for a location for our wedding celebration, we came across the Ratskeller in Bernau by chance. During a bike tour we spontaneously decided to just go in and ask whether a wedding celebration would be possible here. We were immediately welcomed in a friendly manner and had spontaneous time for us. The first impression of the Ratskeller was really great. We then had a very nice chat and received advice, which resulted in an initial offer. Of course, we inquired a little more about the Ratskeller because we unfortunately already had a failure with another location. Unfortunately, the recessions have left us a little unsettled here and with these thoughts and some changes to the offering, we came to the Ratskeller again for a discussion. Here, too, we received a very friendly welcome and were able to come to our contact person with our concerns and thoughts. At eye level and with honest answers and a super friendly demeanor, we were able to dispel our worries and accepted the offer. Small changes and some more specific requests were professionally implemented. It was important to me that I had to do as little as possible myself on my wedding day. But I was able to rely very well on the Ratskeller. We also ate in the Ratskeller a few times to get an impression and were not disappointed. On the day in question, we arrived early with our witnesses to set up one or two things. The basis we were given was more than successful for our circumstances. The staff accompanied us very well throughout the evening and fulfilled all our wishes. Even small changes to the day itself were implemented without any problems. We are well aware that not everyone will like everything and that perhaps not everyone was enthusiastic about everything, we found out afterwards, but everyone really liked the service, the location and the food. We were always kept up to date throughout the evening and the serving times were adapted to our program and mood. All in all, it was a very successful evening for us and that's why we can only recommend everyone to have their own experiences. We were able to leave our own souvenirs overnight and pick them up the next day before opening and what can I say, everything was cleaned and put together. An absolute dream for me (a huge thank you again to the team <3). I can't always summarize and describe everything so well in words, but it was one of the most beautiful days in every respect!!! Thank you very much, dear Ratskeller, for everything!!! We will be back soon <3

A nice restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. Very fast and friendly service. The food came quickly and was very tasty. We will come back and would recommend it to everyone.

Were there with 4 people I had the Wiener Schnitzel and I have to say it was a delight ❤️ I have nothing to complain about from start to finish and can only say thank you I also had a gin and tonic which rounded it all off 😎👌

Unfortunately we didn't get to eat because the employee at reception said with an annoyed roll of his eyes that the dish on the display in front of the restaurant wasn't valid for today!? So I know where I don't want to go out to eat anymore.

Food should be HOTTER. We ate Potatoes with eggs, mustard sauce and a sprig of parsley. . 3 hard potatoes, with dark spots. Sauce lightly with skin. The eggs were probably cooked days ago. I'm really sorry. But even for around 9 euros we expected something different. You could definitely DECORATE the food plate better and nicer. So it doesn't work that way at all. The facility OUTSIDE was good. Just PLEASE keep an eye on their DECORATIONS, like throw pillows. It would be nice to set it up properly again. The side table at the edge of the market and the basket, probably for the seat cushions, would have been in great need of a damp cloth. So maybe turn around in circles with your eyes open.

This was our second time in the Ratskeller, but this time it was unfortunately a bit mixed. The burgers were probably very dry and not recommended, the steak au four was very tasty. One of our guests had ordered mustard and the waitress looked at her with disgust and asked if she was serious. A no go for me. But it was probably delicious. The ambience is very nice, a very high-quality renovated vaulted cellar, nice furnishings, comfortable seating.

I had dinner in the Ratskeller for the first time today, ordered a cup of coffee and sat outside on the beautiful terrace. The coffee was promptly brought to me by the friendly service employee Hardy. So I thought: "Since you're here, you might as well eat dinner." Said - brought. Very tasty - pan-fried vegetables with cucumber salad and mashed potatoes. Thanks Hardy, best regards to the entire team.

Come here often and were completely disappointed today. Waited over an hour for lunch and then canceled the meal... It's a shame that it's becoming more and more of a roller coaster ride in the Ratskeller... only Petrus, the waiter, is still good and attentive...

Unfortunately, sometimes first impressions are deceptive. We come from Potsdam ourselves and stopped here to have lunch. Service was very friendly and accommodating, you can't say anything, the ambience was really more than nice outside and even more so inside! It's a shame that this was marred by the food, if you have a lot of knowledge about gastronomy and cuisine, the food was a failure, we'll let the Bernauer-style seasoned meat starter pass by, perhaps the Bernauers don't like spices because everything from salt to Worchester sauce was missing here So you had to season half a bottle for every two dishes. Main course cheeseburger the patty was dry and tasted again with little seasoning when it was warmed up from the lecture, fries were ok. Rost onion roast meat Tough and crunchy, the impression of a nice dark gravy is deceptive because the sauce doesn't taste like anything and due to the jelly-like consistency it gives the impression that it was stirred together from a sauce thickener. All in all, we wouldn't come back for dinner, perhaps looking at the homepage and looking for a chef explains the taste. All the best.

Totally nice location, the food was great. The Sauvignon Blanc is highly recommended. The staff was nice, but not too friendly either. The burgers with fries are sufficient in quantity. I had the pork medallions, these could have been more than just 2 pieces. Overall it was very nice there.

If you are looking for a restaurant with local cuisine, perfect ambience and style, you have come to the right place. Everything is just right: lighting, music, service, friendliness, waiting time for the dish, timing with starters, ... . We would have liked to give it a sixth star. We'll meet Again!

Lauwarmes Essen, völlig verbrannte Zwiebeln auf einem Zwiebelrostbraten, Bratkartoffeln welche in Fett und Unmengen von Gewürzen kurz mal geschwenkt wurden. Alles generell extrem gewürzt. Die Ente in Rotkohl ist quasi ein Ragout, lauwarm serviert. Der frische Salat ist vom letzten Tag und braun. Tatsächlich waren alle unsere Speisen unterirdisch von der Qualität. Ich habe wirklich seit langem nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen in einem Restaurant. Nie wieder.

We were there today with the whole family around the 18th. Celebrating my daughter's birthday... We can only report positive things about the reservation, the warm welcome, the food, the service and the ambience. Price-performance ratio is within a reasonable range. We would like to come again...

Reservations were made in advance for Sunday dinner time for three people. The call for this was answered quickly and I received very warm and competent help; People even asked in advance whether it was a special occasion. So the reservation worked really well; Even on site, the service was always quick and attentive. If a glass was empty, you were asked shortly afterwards whether you could have another; attentive but not intrusive in any way. The preparation of the meal was absolutely appropriate, by no means too long, especially since all the dishes were very tasty (the writer of this comment had the pike perch fillet with fried potatoes and cucumber salad and can fully recommend this dish!). The desert (lava cake with vanilla ice cream) was also an absolute culinary delight, and the final grappa was just right. The offer in the Ratskeller falls into the somewhat higher price category, but in my opinion it is completely justified. The guest rooms and the sanitary rooms are very clean. The seating comfort on the long benches along the walls is a bit unusual, as the cushions are quite soft. But that's more my personal feeling and definitely not worth deducting a star. In short: I can fully recommend the Ratskeller, for special occasions, but also for in between, you are very well served and at exactly the right address.

The Ratskeller Bernau is a restaurant with an upscale atmosphere and food. We were here on Boxing Day. Had reserved. Food was super tasty. And everything from the ambience to the service was perfect. We'd love to come back.

Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und das Personal ist freundlich und flink

Bei der Ankunft genossen wir das schöne Ambiente des Ratskellers. Der Empfang war dann leider etwas ernüchternd, nicht sehr herzlich (wie es schon andere Besucher beschrieben) und mit einem unangemessenen Spruch (eher Straßenjargong). Unser Tisch war schön gedeckt und der restaurierte Ratskeller ist schön anzusehen. Der uns zugeteilte Kellner war sehr nett und relativ aufmerksam. Nun freuten wir uns auf unsere Gänsekeulen. Die Freude hielt allerdings nicht lange an, einzig die Gänsekeule war heiß (und fast zu lange im Ofen), der Rest war eher Lauwarm und der Grünkohl schmeckte fad, wie aus dem Glas erwärmt. Als wir fertig waren mit essen, fragte auch schon ein Angestellter, wie lange wir noch sitzen, da schon andere auf den Tisch warten würden… und das, obwohl noch einiges an Tischen frei war…!? Den Nachtisch haben wir uns dann erspart. Unser Fazit (wir waren zu viert dort): SCHADE, schönes Ambiente, lieblos, lauwarmes Essen und wenig Herzlichkeit. Für diese Preisklasse könnte ich es so nicht empfehlen!

Schönes Restaurant im Zentrum von Bernau. Freundlicher Service, leckeres Essen. Waren zum Mittagessen vor Ort. Wechselnde Mittagsgerichte zu einem guten Preis. Portionsgröße war gut und dem Preis angemessen.

Tolles Ambiente, überaus freundliches und motiviertes Servicepersonal, dem man den Spaß am Job anmerkt. Ein kleines Späßchen am Rande war immer drin. Und dann das Essen! Der Hammer!!! Entenbrust, Klöße, Rinderrouladen, Pilzpfanne - alles vom Feinsten und preislich durchaus erschwinglich! Und das leckere Dessert - krönender Abschluss!! Da können sich manch Berliner Restaurationen eine Scheibe von abschneiden!!! Wir waren das erste Mal da und werden bald wiederkommen!!!

Tja soweit alles schön dort bis auf mein Essen Dicke Rippe ansich lecker wenn es auch noch warm gewesen wäre einfach schade. Von meiner Begleitung die soljanka haben wir zurück gegeben die kamm kalt schon an muste aufgewärmt werden darf nicht sein wie gesagt schade. Aber ein versuch wird es sicher noch geben.

Ein schönes Restaurant tolles Ambiente. Wir hatten Gänsekeule , sehr zart , Rotkohl, Grünkohl mit Klöße alles insgesamt klasse gewürzt , kann man nicht besser machen. Preis-leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar! Exzellentes Wildgulasch und Gänsekeule gegessen. Leckeres Bier und äusserst hervorragender Glühwein! Wenn man dann noch altbekannte Gesichter aus Berlin (als Servicekraft) sieht, freut man sich umso mehr.

Ich habe dort meinen Geburtstag gefeiert und das gesamte Team vom Ratskeller hat einen uns einen unglaublich tollen Abend bereitet. Der Tisch wurde geschmückt und liebevoll eingedeckt. Unser Essen kam zügig und in einer sehr guten Qualität! Trotz vollem Haus, dank vieler kleinerer Weihnachtsfeiern war das gesamte Personal sehr höflich und stets um volle Gläser bemüht. Ein wirklich sehr schönes und angenehmes Lokal. Das Personal ist äußert freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen schmeckte mir persönlich sehr gut. Die Lunchangebote sind spitze.

Tolle Kombination aus altem Rathauskeller und moderner Einreichtung. Das Personal ist nett und zügig. Auch Extra-Wünsche werden ohne Probleme akzeptiert. Es gibt viele kreative Gerichte auch jenseits langweiliger Klassiker. Es war sehr lecker.
