Food was delicious. A beautiful table had been prepared to order. Definitely recommend ordering as it is quite small. The menu didn't arrive for 40 minutes. The food for everyone was also delicious.

After being rejected by two other places because of our three dogs (peaceful and quiet!), this was our last attempt. Fortunately! Super nice service, delicious food as we know and love it from before, nice ambience and great value for money! Cakes also very tasty and recommended!

This is how you successfully scare away your guests.....NEVER AGAIN!!!! One star is even too many... After my girlfriend and I entered the restaurant and chose a free table, we were greeted in such a snippy and tomboyish manner by the older female waiter that I am still shocked at how the guests are treated here. We felt as if a sergeant from the barracks was standing in front of us.....they don't turn a blind eye when they trim the soldiers... “First of all, good evening,” she snapped at us with a poisonous look and a grim expression. My girlfriend and I looked at each other puzzled... apparently we are not wanted here??! We didn't do anything to the waitress... After we politely asked if we could have this table because it didn't have a reservation sign, we were rudely directed to another table after a short wait. But my friend didn't like it at all and she asked why we couldn't get the previous table because there was no reservation sign on it. We have also sat here before and felt comfortable there. Furthermore, the answer was only in a harsh, unfriendly tone......"No, that's not possible, the guests are coming later".....apparently an excuse.......as I said, there was NO reservation sign on it ....... My girlfriend and I were already shaking our heads... Struck by this unfriendly manner, my friend and I did not take our assigned seats and left the restaurant without saying a word. The male waiter, or probably even the owner, arrogantly shouted something after us... I don't remember what exactly... That was the final straw for me too and I shouted back... .."If you treat your guests like this, you don't have to be surprised"........ This shop will never see us again....we were there once in the summer a few years ago and had schnitzel with asparagus and were treated very kindly, but you just can't tolerate this kind of food today. The staff should perhaps consider serving food in a barracks. They can yell at the soldiers for all I care. This is an outrage..... Based on other reviews here, you can already see that we weren't the only ones who were treated so condescendingly. By the way, we ate at “Alex” opposite. We were treated friendly and sympathetically there, as we should be. Actually zero stars....not recommended.....

It's a nice cafe where you can get good home cooking.

I went in and was fascinated. Red and wood look very elegant. Beautiful and authentic decoration, 2 friendly waitresses. Dessert and coffee were delicious. The view of the snow from the window was wonderful. Be sure to come by.

We were only there for dessert. They have a large selection of fresh delicious cakes. Also, I had the best strudel in my life - they serve it with whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream, which is quite delicious on its own. Highly recommended!

Este era el restaurante que había elegido y planeado específicamente para la primera noche de nuestras vacaciones europeas, así que estaba muy emocionado cuando finalmente llegamos. Llegamos a eso de las 7. 45 pm, que estaba bien, ya que el restaurante dice que abre hasta las 10 pm - había un buen número de comensales ya allí, pero todavía un buen número de mesas vacías. The table was beautifully set and the service was very friendly and personable, and also patient with us, as the decision to eat was not easy for everyone. There were also some sensitivities because not everyone can tolerate everything. It was beautiful.

Unfortunately, the Rathauscaffee no longer needs to answer the phone. I tried for an hour. Either you don't answer or the receiver is put aside. And not accidentally placed next to it, no, just taken off and put down. I was on the line and could hear the conversations. Really a shame.

If you want to eat honest, good German cuisine between all the system restaurants, international snack bars and convenience stores, this is the right place for you. No frills, tasty food, reasonable prices. If you don't have time or don't earn enough, you should just go to the kebab opposite - full and cheap is the trend for some.

Paramos en Magdeburgo para tomar un descanso y algo de comer y elegimos The Rathaus café como se veía encantador. Al entrar nos quedamos esperando un rato hasta que una camarera finalmente se nos acercó y nos habló en alemán como era de esperar, pero fue de una manera agresiva y cuando usé las pocas palabras de alemán tuve que decir que no hablábamos alemán, sino inglés, simplemente se acercó a nosotros y se alejó. Otra mujer vino y nos dirigió a una mesa. Si no hubiera estado lloviendo fuera y no hubiéramos necesitado refrescos, nos habríamos dado la vuelta y habríamos vuelto a salir. Un tratamiento muy terrible y hay otras críticas que dicen que han experimentado lo mismo, así que obviamente no es una ocurrencia única.

Unfortunately, today the pork loin with chanterelles turned out to be three small schnitzels with large chanterelles that had been fried for too long, with a dark(!) sauce underneath. The croquettes were ok. Everything tasted ok, which is what I told the waitress. But it wasn't pork loins that I was served and charged for at lunch today! It's a shame, they would have liked to have been able to point out on their own initiative that the loins are out and that they shouldn't be charged under any circumstances!

Als erstes fiel uns der Service auf, lockerer Umgang mit flotten Sprüchen, mit hohem Tempo lag die Karte auf dem Tisch, wurden Bestellungen abgefragt und ratzfatz standen Getränke und Speisen auf dem Tisch. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker: Würzfleisch als Vorspeise und das Braumeistersteak im Hauptgang ließen keine Wünsche offen. Sehr preiswert dazu. Das Lokal wird offenkundig auch von den Einheimischen gut frequentiert. Wir empfehlen.

We were invited to the town hall café again this year. I still consider it mediocre. Everything is a bit shady, lots of pensioners. The friendly and competent service and the not high prices should be highlighted positively. However, you can also get food according to these prices - small portions, overcooked canned peas, etc. When I eat out, I expect it to be fresh and well cooked. These expectations are not met here. The restaurant is okay for pensioners who want to sit together for comparatively little money and who may no longer be able to cook for themselves.

The portions are an absolute joke,...basically nothing more than obvious fraud!!!It's a real shame...because the old-fashioned ambience is actually awesome.You can go there for a coffee, but you shouldn't do that with the food you let it be...if you don't want to shit yourself.

We received excellent service in this restaurant. It wasn't the first time that we directed our steps towards contemplation. And last but not least because of the regional cuisine. Seasonally there was kale with sausages, smoked pork and fried potatoes. Excellent. Plus one or two draft beers - simply delicious! Thank you - we'll be happy to come back.

We were there with family in January 2024. The restaurant was very busy and we still managed to get seats. The service staff was super nice and attentive. In other restaurants there always comes a moment when you become aware of the "waiting" for something - not here at all. Despite the large number of guests, the food came unexpectedly quickly and despite that it tasted like individual cooking. So we were thrilled and will definitely come back there.

Hallo war ganz schön bei euch gewesen mit sehr Lecker Kuchen und guten Servies .

Wir sind hier für warme Füße und einen doppelten Espresso eingekehrt. Direkt beim Eintreten wird man mit dem Charme eines Wiener Kaffehauses eingenommen. Die klassische Aufteilung mit (Kuchen-) Tresen unmittelbarer nach dem Eingang und Gästeplätzen auf einer etwas erhöhten Stufe sowie sehr freundlichem Personal hat uns hier zum längerfristigen Verweilen eingeladen. Obwohl die eigentliche Kaffezeit vorüber war, konnten uns sowohl der Windbeutel als auch die Marzipan - Torte begeistern. Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal hat den Besuch schön abgerundet. Wenn wir die Gelegenheit haben, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir waren schon mehrmals dort. Das Mittagessen ist empfehlenswert, ebenso das Kaffee - und Küchenangebot.

Lækker Hamburg schnitzel med brasekartofler og smørstegte ærter. God lokal øl dertil. Der var dog lidt ventetid på maden men det var det værd at vente på og til fair priser. Betjeningen vi fik kunne godt være lidt bedre. Vi blev placeret i et lokale væk fra alle andre og føltes os gemt væk med vilje. Men vil du have lækker mad så kan jeg anbefale dette sted
