Good place that offers classic German food, the only thing is that the price can be a little high and I found the Schnitzel I tried a little dry. The owner is super friendly and his very handsome dog 🤩

The restaurant seems out of time. You feel like you've been transported to grandma's living room, which was once modern in the 60s/70s. I had a homemade melon lemonade as a drink, which unfortunately only tasted like sugar and artificial melon flavor and it looked artificially neon pink. I ate a tarte flambée. You can't go wrong there. It was ok too, but I didn't get the impression that the dough was homemade, the shape was too evenly rectangular. You have to get the food yourself when the little device that comes with you when you order vibrates. The food of the others at the table also looked less appetizing. The staff was nice, no question, but you can't give more than 3 stars for self-service. People who are afraid of dogs may not necessarily want to visit the Mercy Bread, as the restaurant owner's two dogs keep making their rounds through the guests' legs.

Traditional German home cooking food with a pub atmosphere. The staff was very friendly! We unfortunately thought the meals were pretty bland though and there are only very few vegetarian options (worse for vegans).

We stumbled upon this gem by accident. It's got retro vibes and fun decor, the staff were lovely, and the food was delicious. It wasn't particularly expensive and the portion sizes were generous - we couldn't finish our food and they packaged it up to take away. The food was mostly traditional German, Polish, and Russian. Such a nice experience all round, I'm sure we'll go there again

Cozy atmosphere, sensationally delicious beef roulade, great decor reminiscent of the 70s. You pick up your own food at the counter, which is unusual but not a problem. I would always like to come back. The cake buffet also looked good. If it's a problem for someone, it should be said that the guests are almost exclusively male, so you probably won't get to know the woman of your dreams there ;-)

I've eaten here many, many, many times. I've never been disappointed. Quirky 70's decor and a small patio. My only critique is that I don't appreciate having to get up and pick up my order at the counter. There is always enough staff to serve tables properly.

Delicious and hearty home-style cooking, a varied seasonal menu and a large selection of delicious cakes and tarts. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. A real institution in the queer neighborhood.

Very nice operators and very tasty food. Mondays are schnitzel day! Currently pork schnitzel with a side dish and sauce for €13.50 - my tip: fried potatoes. The homemade soups and delicious cakes are also particularly recommended. If you're looking for a place for coffee and cake, you've come to the right place...

The bigos was a pure Polish nightmare: unsalty, one half cold, one half hot, the taste was quite average, served with unsalted potatoes. As an icing on the cake, I have a diarrhea now. Thanks a lot.

The “Gnadenbrot” offers home-style German and probably also Polish dishes. Always well done, very reasonable prices (for the city location), attentive and friendly service. I like to come there.

RinderGoulash with potatoes is the best. Lots to eat, rich and flavourful. Eat here, Be happy.

Anyone who appreciates good German bourgeois cuisine is in the right place, they also have Polish cuisine which is also very good. It's a restaurant on Motzstrasse, so the guests are there. Don't worry, the guys are all very nice.

It's especially nice to sit outside. Some of the cakes are really very good. The other dishes are tasty - especially the schnitzel and the Hawai toast are really good. Unfortunately there are no fries. There are also some Polish dishes and tarte flambée. The service is attentive and friendly.

But seriously: We like visiting the restaurant because we feel like we belong to it after many, many years. As a guest and customer, you also have a small part to play in ensuring that a suitable store for the queer audience in the neighborhood is not sold. Of course, as customers we bear neither the burden nor the risk. We remain loyal, even if there are rough edges here and there. And that's a real compliment!

My return visit I was here a few times 11 months ago and loved it. It's me again. Everything was still the same. Service, food, drinks, decoration… In short, the feeling was the same and great again. If you want to experience delicious home-style cuisine at reasonable prices in a somewhat nostalgic, whimsical ambience, this is the right place for you. Absolute recommendation. My first visits: A bizarre location! The decoration concept impresses with its obvious lack of concept. Somehow a mixture of gallery, Jägerklsause, 70s and the charm of a GDR pub that was overwhelmed by the fall of reunification. All in all a cool place where you don't know what to look at and believe. And then the elements of modern system catering (when you order food, you get one of these beer garden pagers and then have to pick up your food yourself. So I had a great time. The landlord was friendly, open and attentive. I stayed up for a good half an hour Having to wait for my food without the shop being full shows that the food here is freshly cooked and not just warmed up in the deep fryer. That's how it tasted. Really delicious. If you want to eat good, home-style food in a fun environment, you should go here Don't pass by. I'll be happy to come back.

Das Restaurant ist ziemlich kultig und altmodisch eingerichtet. Eigentlich schon wieder richtig cool! Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und schnell. Das bestellte Essen muss man in einer Ecke des Lokals an der Kücuentheke abholen. Das bestellte Schnitzel mit Meerrettich und Senf ist sehr lecker! Die Raststätte Gnadenbrot ist sehr zu empfehlen!

After two years, a little update: The boys are back from vacation, we are happy and were back right on the first day. I really like the somewhat trashy shop. The food is tasty, the prices are right and you can sink your teeth into it. In summer the cozy terrace beckons. Nice people in front of and behind the counter. Years ago we rented the entire store for our wedding and had a lovely party.

Raststätte Gnadenbrot is a restaurant in the Schöneberg area of Berlin. I was here for dinner, and I had "Wiener Schnitzel mit lauwarmem Kartoffel-Gurken-Salat" (Vienna style schnitzel with warm potato and cucumber salad). Food was excellent, and so was the service. Prices were medium.

Uriges Ambiente, einfach gehalten. Essen sehr lecker und reichlich. Komme gerne wieder wenn ich in Berlin bin.

Habe meine alte Rezension von vor 4 Jahren gelöscht, es hat seit einiger Zeit schon eine sehr gute Küche Getränke und Service sind auch Top. Wir kommen gerne in das Gnadenbrot.

Toller Hausmannskost aus Deutschland und Polen, freundliche Bedienung, leckere Torten und Kuchen. Lockere Atmosphäre. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Aufgewaermtes Essen, schlicht und einfach eigentlich eine FRECHHEIT für 20, - Euro. Nicht zu empfehlen, jedenfalls nicht die Küche incl. Geschirr......

Tässä Saksalaisessa ravintolassa ruoka (wienerleike) ja juoma (hehkuviini ja olut) olivat hyvää kuten tunnelmakin. Ravintolassa itsekseen liikuskeleva pieni lemmikkikoira oli hauska lisä. Vähän kuin Pekka Poudan Sinikoira maikkarin studiossa.

ristorante fantastico a due passi dall'hotel. ci siamo tornati per due sere. specializzato in cucina tipica e polacca. Si ordina e poi col dispositivo si aspetta che suoni quando è pronto per prendere i piatti dalla cucina. abbiamo sempre provato piatti diversi e il vino poiché purtroppo non siamo amanti della birra. locale molto tranquillo, col giusto sound, dove tutti sono sorridenti, i proprietari educatissimi e sempre pronti a far due chiacchiere; uno dei motivi per cui siamo tornati, oltre al fatto che il cibo era delizioso!

Zuerst dachten wir, dass es sich hier um eine Trinkhalle handelt aber es ist ein sehr gemütliche Kneipe mit toller Küche. Das Tegernseeschnitzel ist super lecker und gut gemacht. Der Rotkohl war genial! Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich hier einfach wohl.

Jedes Mal, wenn ich in Berlin bin, ist die Raststätte ein Muss! Leckeres Essen, authentisches Ambiente und ICH LIEBE die Bedienung ;)

Wenn in Berlin, dann wird einmal immer dort gegessen. Super nettes Team, faire Preise und leckeres Essen. Nur zu empfehlen.

Käsespätzle mit Speck und Pierogi Ruskie haben wir gegessen und uns in der Kneipe der 80er Jahre ziemlich wohlgefühlt. Die Farben orange und gelb sind die Farben, die hier dominieren. Dazu Krusovice Bier getrunken.

Un très bon restaurant de quartier que je fréquente surtout l'été depuis plus de 10 ans. Les serveurs et la déco 70 ne changent pas, intemporels.De très bon frischekässekuchen idéal avec un café. Quelques plats d'Europe de l'Est. Très bon. MAIS ... pourquoi n'est ce plus ouvert le matin, je regrette tellement les frühstück généreux en terrasse 😭

Es war eine tolle Atmosphäre. Bei schönem Wetter konnten wir draußen sitzen. Auf die Getränke mussten wir nicht lange warten. Der Flammkuchen war sehr lecker.

Stets freundliche Bedienung und gute bodenständige Küche. Ganz wichtig: Guckt in die Tortenvitrine!

Ich mag die Raststätte einfach. Das Personal ist freundlich und schnell, ohne dabei Hektik zu verbreiten. Die neben anderen Gerichten angebotenen polnischen Gerichte sind "Abwechslung für den Gaumen" und sehr lecker. Die Torten ziehe ich inzwischen denen im Café Kalwil vor - das ist aber natürlich sehr subjektiv, wie alles, was Geschmack betrifft... Die große Außenterrasse ist im Sommer ein großes Plus.

Zur Reaktion von Herrn Jens Hoffmann ich war an diesem Tag auch im Laden und muss hier mal was klarstellen: 1. Der Gast bestellte Penne mit Garnelen und meinte das es ruhig schärfer sein könnte der Kellner fragte ihn ob er extra Chilli haben möchte was der Gast bestätigte er wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass ein Aufpreis berechnet wird was der Gast wiederum bestätige. 2. Nachdem dieser Gast fertig mit essen war und es ums bezahlen ging wurde er gegenüber dem Kellner laut und schrie durch den Laden es sei Betrug der Kellner erklärte ihm das grundsätzlich nur frische Chilli benutzt wird. Solch ein Verhalten geht überhaupt nicht wenn es ihm nicht geschmeckt hätte hätte er direkt was sagen können aber er hat alles aufgegessen somit ist er unglaubwürdig.
