Raphael's am Phoenixsee in Dortmund

Wir hatten ein wunderbares Abendessen im Raphael's am Phoenixsee zu unserem Hochzeitstag, und es war die perfekte Wahl. Die Lage direkt am Phoenixsee ist fantastisch. Auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick, Segelbooten und der abendlichen Atmosphäre zu sitzen, sorgte für ein entspanntes und unvergessliches Erlebnis. Es ist der ideale Ort für ein romantisches Abendessen oder einen besonderen Anlass. Das Essen war exzellent. Alles war frisch zubereitet, wunderschön angerichtet und voller Geschmack. Die überbackene Pasta war reichhaltig und perfekt gegart, der Salat knackig, frisch und ausgewogen. Die Qualität der Zutaten war wirklich herausragend. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, sodass wir uns sehr willkommen fühlten, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wenn Sie großartige italienische Küche in einer wunderschönen Lage am See suchen, kann ich das Raphael's am Phoenixsee wärmstens empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Die Lage am Phoenixsee macht es wohl aus, dass hier für tatsächlich gute Küche trotzdem völlig überzogene Preise aufgerufen werden können. Wir waren aus München zu Besuch und durchaus überrascht, dass das dortige Preisniveau in Dortmund getoppt werden kann für solides, aber keinesfalls außergewöhnliches Essen. Problem: Der Service war eher unmotiviert bis desinteressiert. Das Preisniveau dementsprechend allein durch die direkte Lage am Phoenixsee rechtfertigt. Wem Preis-Leistung völlig egal ist, macht hier nichts falsch, allen anderen sei von dieser Gastro abgeraten.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden und Esse gerne bei euch. Das Essen ist einfach Lecker, am liebsten esse ich Pizza Salami, was Helal ist. Die Hochwertigen zutaten lassen sich schmecken. Liebevoll servierte Pasta, das fluffige Pizza mit Fior de Latte lässt sich schmecken. Die Vorspeisen Teller war köstlich Kulinarisch Und vielfältig. Die Ambiente und das Wasserblick sind unbezahlbar. Freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal. Was ich toll finde sind Saubere Toiletten. Preisleistung ist sehr gut. Nächste mal Probiere ich die Nachtischplatte, der sah so Toll aus am Nebentisch. Ich freu mich auf den nächsten Besuch.

Das Essen war okay, für die Preise leider nicht gut. Trotz Vorspeise und Hauptgang ist man nicht „satt“ nach Hause gegangen, was ich bei 27€ für einen Klecks Nudeln dich erwarten würde. Wir hatten zwei mal Brot bestellt, was wohl nicht so üblich war. So ist es uns rüber gekommen. Die Nudeln waren leider verkocht, geschmacklich aber gut. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, das die Kunden die Nudeln nicht bissfest mögen und da durch viele Reklamationen gekommen sind. Da stelle ich mir die Frage, warum sowas nicht gefragt wird, wie die Frage in das Steak blutig sein soll? Die Reklamation wurde aufgenommen aber ehr abgetan. Ambiente ist super und auch alles sauber. Preis Leistung passt in dem Restaurant nicht so gut, leider keine Empfehlung unserer Seite aus.

Jede Menge freie Tische, aber leider am Eingang auf einen Tischanweiser warten! Leider nicht mit uns!

Die Kellner waren so voreingenommen – sie setzten uns an einen Tisch und brachten uns keine Speisekarte, obwohl die deutschen Gäste, die später kamen, sofort welche bekamen. Dann waren sie von unserer Bestellung überrascht und fragten: „Sind Sie sicher, dass Sie alles bezahlen können?“ Und dann brachten sie uns ein Gericht nicht, obwohl wir es bereits bezahlt hatten. Wir erinnerten den Kellner daran, aber er reagierte nicht. Ist das wirklich ein gehobenes Restaurant?

Die Preise entsprechen der gehobenen Lage am Wasser des Dortmunder Phoenixsees. Der Service ist sehr gut. Schnell, freundlich, nicht aufdringlich. Das Nudelgericht war wirklich gut. Die Portionen sind nicht unbedingt für große, hungrige Männer geeignet.Das Ambiente wird von dem dunklen Holz des Mobiliars dominiert, modern und ansprechend.

Leider muss ich meine Rezension aktualisieren und sagen, dass nach weiteren Besuchen das Restaurant doch sehr unterbesetzt ist, vielleicht liest es jemand mit Verantwortung. Wir waren Ostermontag dort zu zweit und es war alles in Ordnung aber mehr auch nicht. Mir fehlen eigentlich die richtigen Worte um dieses Restaurant zu beschreiben, deswegen nur diese paar Worte. Ob ich dieses Restaurant nochmals besuchen werde, kann ich nicht sagen.

Nicht Top, aber solide! Service ist äußerst unaufdringlich. Ein wenig mehr "Herzblut" könnte nicht schaden. Die Nudel waren nicht mehr ganz "al Dente". Preislich am oberen Ende dessen was ich bereit bin zu bezahlen.

Die Zutaten waren frisch, und die Aromen waren ausgewogen und kreativ, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Man merkt, dass die Küche mit viel Sorgfalt jedes Gericht zubereitet. Der Service war ebenso beeindruckend – freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, ohne jemals aufdringlich zu wirken. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und die Mitarbeiter gaben uns gerne Empfehlungen. Insgesamt ist das Restaurant Raphael ein fantastischer Ort am Phönixsee, den ich jedem wärmstens empfehlen kann, der exzellentes Essen, hervorragenden Service und ein schönes Ambiente sucht. Ich freue mich schon jetzt auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Ein rundum perfekter Besuch! Das Essen war durchweg unglaublich lecker und hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Dazu ein mega entspanntes und einladendes Ambiente, in dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt.

An diesem Restaurant stimmt einfach alles...die Musik, die Bedienung, das Ambiente und natürlich das Essen. Ich hatte zwar "nur" eine Pizza aber die war erstklassig und absolut köstlich und die Teller bzw. die Gerichte der Nachbartische sahen überragend aus.

Raphael’s am Phoenixsee ist für mich eines der schönsten Restaurants in Dortmund. Die Lage direkt am Wasser schafft sofort eine entspannte Atmosphäre, in der man sich wohlfühlt und Alltag vergisst Der Service ist durchweg herzlich und aufmerksam. Man wird freundlich empfangen, gut beraten und fühlt sich während des gesamten Aufenthalts bestens betreut, ohne dass es aufgesetzt wirkt. Besonders angenehm ist, dass sich das Team Zeit nimmt und auf Wünsche eingeht. Die Weinkarte ist vielseitig und gut abgestimmt. Egal ob man sich auskennt oder einfach einen passenden Wein zum Essen sucht, man bekommt immer eine tolle Empfehlung. Die Weine passen perfekt zu den Gerichten und runden das Essen wunderbar ab. Die Pizza Anatolya ist ein echtes Highlight. Der Teig ist locker und knusprig zugleich, die Zutaten sind frisch und hochwertig, und geschmacklich ist alles sehr harmonisch. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Qualität und Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Auch die Desserts sind ein Genuss und der perfekte Abschluss. Nicht zu schwer, geschmacklich sehr fein und schön angerichtet – genau das Richtige nach einem tollen Essen. Raphael’s am Phoenixsee verbindet gutes Essen, freundlichen Service und eine großartige Lage. Für mich ist es definitiv eine der besten Adressen in Dortmund, egal ob für einen besonderen Abend oder ein entspanntes Essen mit Freunden. Ein Restaurant, zu dem man gerne zurückkommt.

Wenn Ravioli mit Salbeibutter auf einem flachen Teller serviert werden sagt das schon alles… von 7 Ravioli wird kein Mensch auch nur ansatzweise satt! Eher als Vorspeise geeignet… Sollte man dann auch dementsprechend deklarieren! Ich habe genauso viel wie für die riesige Pizza bezahlt 😡

A truly lovely restaurant right on Phoenix Lake. From the very friendly and attentive service and the wonderful ambiance to the excellent pasta served from a Parmesan wheel with delicious beef tenderloin tips, we can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Finally, we can also say that the price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable.

We had dinner at Raphael's tonight. I had the fillet with rosemary potatoes. My wife had spaghetti carbonara. For starters, we had carpaccio with truffles and linguini. It came with two pizza rolls. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Unfortunately, my fillet was cold. I mean, really cold. Just like the rolls that came with the carpaccio. They could have at least been fried for a bit. The carbonara was really good, as was the tiramisu. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right in this case. All in all, including a non-alcoholic wheat beer and a Sprite, it cost just under €95. But for that, I expect freshly baked rolls and hot fillets.

Beautiful restaurant, lovely staff, but the pizza was so boring my taste buds filed for early retirement. Business dragged us to Dortmund — a sentence that already sounds like the prelude to tragedy. One night only. We had our sights on a Japanese restaurant by the lake, but upon arrival discovered it was yet another of those iPad-driven “all you can eat” gladiator arenas, where raw fish is reduced to a touchscreen endurance sport. We fled, and landed next door at Raphael’s, an Italian restaurant with high hopes attached. First impressions were excellent: the interior was charming, almost whimsical, like sitting in a fairy tale forest indoors, complete with trees and fairy lights. My wife ordered a Primitivo, I had a Prosecco, and we shared a bottle of still water. Civilised. For a starter, we shared Bruschetta — excellent bread, good olive oil, and suddenly the night looked promising. And then came the pizza. My wife ordered a Margherita, I went for a Quattro Formaggi. What followed was the greatest pizza disappointment of my entire life. Never before have we failed to finish a pizza — until now. Not because it was offensive, not because it was burnt or bizarre, but because it was so unbelievably boring that every bite felt like a sedative for the soul. The dough had no taste whatsoever. Not even a bad taste — which at least would have been something. It was like chewing a folded paper napkin. The tomato sauce? Certainly not San Marzano. If I had to name the city of origin, I’d call them Taranto tomatoes or Catanzaro tomatoes: grey, lifeless, and so devoid of flavor they make you question the very purpose of agriculture. My Quattro Formaggi was essentially a Quattro Blandezza — four cheeses competing to see which could be the most forgettable. By the fourth slice, my taste buds had slipped into a coma. We couldn’t finish. We gave up. When the waitress asked if we liked the pizza, we answered honestly. And she — bless her — was honestly sorry, apologised sincerely, and even brought us limoncello on the house. A rare, classy gesture. She was professional, warm, and charming until the end. And for that, Raphael’s doesn’t collapse to one star. Two stars then: one for the Bruschetta, one for the waitress. The pizza, however, remains a tragic culinary lullaby — the first I’ve ever seen capable of boring two adults into surrender.

The toppings were fresh, but the consistency and seasoning left something to be desired. The pasta is definitely better; I'll try it next time.

At first, everything was promising – the service was very friendly. Then we ordered food, and the first choice wasn't available. They gave us some time to think about it. The second choice wasn't available either. Then they suddenly got annoyed and made us feel it because we couldn't decide. Can't you tell us up front which dishes aren't available?! What kind of approach is that? Dessert also arrived wrong. I've never had a restaurant experience like that before. It's a real shame, because the restaurant is in a really beautiful location and has a lovely interior. But given the service and, above all, the poor value for money, we definitely won't be coming back.

We visited the restaurant on Sunday lunchtime; half the tables in the tastefully decorated restaurant were occupied. The food was absolutely impeccable, and the service was very friendly and prompt. There were two minor disappointments, however: the bread advertised on the menu for the pasta dish was forgotten, but was promptly brought after we asked for it. After the main course, the waiter didn't appear again and didn't ask for dessert, coffee, or a digestif. After 15 minutes, we finally asked for the bill. Overall, though, the good food and the location make it a recommendation.

Raphael's is a top-notch restaurant where you can enjoy the view of Lake Phoenix with excellent food. The ambiance is lovely, and you can sit comfortably inside or outside on the promenade with a view of the lake. Making a reservation was easy, and the waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, very disappointing. When we arrived, all the outdoor tables were occupied. We were promised we could move as soon as something became available. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case... all new guests had priority and were allowed to sit outside. We weren't offered a change. The wait for the food was almost an hour. I had ordered a dish that, according to the waiter, was slightly spicy. This dish was delivered in the extra spicy version. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy it. Upon request, I received a new portion... everyone else had already finished their food. I had to wait hungry and then eat alone. There was nothing but an apology. In my opinion, such a faux pas should at least include a free drink. Finally, like the other guests, I found that one restroom is far too few for a large restaurant with a large outdoor area. Accordingly, there was a long line for the restroom. I've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant before. I certainly won't be coming here again, as the price-performance ratio is completely out of reach. Too bad...I had expected much more.

A few deductions: I would have liked to sit inside, but that would have been possible only with a reservation... until we left, I didn't see any reason to. I don't like eating outside, and I don't like sitting in the waiting line either. Luckily, we found a good spot on the side, sheltered from the wind, with a view of the lake. It was actually quite nice, and the food was good too. We could do it again sometime.

This was a fantastic Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely world-class. This is what Italian food should be like. We were at Lake Garda two weeks ago. The pizzas and pasta there weren't nearly as delicious. Especially with the garlic. There was so much garlic in my prawn starter and my spaghetti... Fantastic. My wife had a typical Neopolitan pizza with burrata and a truly authentic buscetta for starters. She was absolutely thrilled. Finally, an Italian who gets it. Delicious. Highly recommended. The service, the view, of course, and the food were fantastic. Thank you for that. We'll be back...

A 0.1 Aperol for €8.50 is borderline. The portion sizes are also small, even for women... but the prices are really steep, although the location and the view are, of course, beautiful. Typical tourist trap...

We were here today and ordered two pasta dishes and a burger. Contrary to expectations, the burger was good to very good, the fries were very crispy and tasty, and both were very hot. The pasta dishes were rather bland; the pasta was unfortunately overcooked rather than al dente, and the temperature wasn't ideal either. A real shame...

We were there for the first time last night...Saturday...and we were absolutely thrilled. We haven't eaten this well in a long time...everything was simply amazing!!! Mixed appetizer for two people. A delicious starter. Then saltimboca a la romana and a mixed fish platter with vegetables. Everything tasted sensational!! The service was excellent! All around, a fantastic meal. Everything was just perfect. A lovely evening. We enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone in the kitchen and service, we'll be back!!!

Pasta left on the floor from previous customers, music way too loud. After I was brought the wrong salad, they forgot to drain the water from the new one. I've rarely had such a watery, almost disgusting salad. It could have been delicious, but this is a mistake that absolutely shouldn't happen! I won't be coming back.

A superb ambiance with a direct view of the lake. Very tasteful decor and friendly service. The food was also quite good, although the portions were relatively small. The truffle pasta could have used a bit more truffles. There's a good selection of wines to go with it.

Very good. We had the carbonara, which wasn't overdone with cream but was well prepared. Whole strips of bacon and very flavorful. The appetizer was also delicious, but a bit small. Our server was very attentive and courteous.

Aside from the fact that we waited a very long time for the main course (the starter arrived very quickly), my review focuses on very important points. Despite announcing that I'm allergic to pepper, part of my meal was served with pepper. If I hadn't been careful, it could have been fatal (emergency doctor, etc.). A brief "sorry" isn't enough in situations like this. The second attempt at the meal was without pepper, but grilled vegetables were omitted (without explanation). Chicken breast filet with rosemary potatoes and grilled vegetables. There were no towels in the restroom. The preparation should have been different for a Saturday evening. The price/performance ratio is not justified. In summary: overrated.

I found everything very adequate and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the pasta was a bit disappointing; it was so unsalted and had a pure cream flavor. Unfortunately, it wasn't that good for me, but the pizza, on the other hand, was definitely tastier.

A really nice and cozy restaurant with fair prices, appropriate for its location on Lake Phoenix (a bit more expensive). I highly recommend the Pizza Gourmet, although some of the pasta portions were very small. Both pasta and pizza were delicious, though. We'd be happy to come back. Cons: Despite moderate outside temperatures (20°C), it was unfortunately very stuffy and warm inside. There's only one women's restroom, which is a bit undersized given the number of seats.

The food was truly excellent, but the service was abysmal. Even ordering the appetizer made you feel like you were in the wrong place. After the first appetizer, the waiter immediately asked, "You'll definitely share this one." We ordered three appetizers, but only two were brought to the table at the same time. After the appetizer, we waited almost 30 minutes for our main course. What was particularly negative was that the waiter walked past the table countless times but never once asked if everything was okay and didn't even notice that we were out of drinks. Even when clearing the table, he didn't ask for drinks again. Only after almost 20 minutes after finishing the main course, and by then 40 minutes without drinks, was he asked for a coffee or cappuccino. A shame, because the food was truly delicious.

There were 6.5 of us there. 1/2 means with a small child. The restaurant is right on the Phoenix Lake and has, in my opinion, a great ambiance. By that, I mean the location and stylish decor. There is one drawback, however: there is only one restroom for men and women, which isn't enough. The service was extremely professional and super friendly; all requests were met promptly and to our complete satisfaction. We felt very comfortable. We ordered several appetizers, and the main courses were pizza- and pasta-focused. In short, everything tasted very good, the quality was excellent, including the drinks! Conclusion: absolutely recommended

The truffle pasta dish on carpaccio was not only a visual highlight, but also a dream in terms of taste. The quality of the ingredients and the sophisticated presentation really impressed me. Hello everyone, After I finished eating and needed to go to the bathroom, I couldn't find any toilet paper in the restroom because they had run out. After I asked the staff about it, they directed me to the women's restroom. After they also didn't find any toilet paper in the women's restroom, I asked again and was handed napkins so I could "at least" wash my hands. When he left the napkins, he said, "Sorry, bro," and said that he apparently checks the restrooms every two hours to see if there's enough toilet paper, let alone wipes for cleaning hands. It's a shame to see such unprofessionalism given the location and the prices. Best regards.

I find the prices a bit excessive. A regular salami pizza costs €16, and a tuna salad costs €16.50 with relatively little tuna.

I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful Italian restaurant, and I highly recommend it! From the moment we entered, we received a warm welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I was particularly impressed by the homemade pasta, which was simply perfect. The staff was attentive and made us feel completely at ease throughout our visit. The service was quick and professional without making us feel rushed. All in all, an unforgettable evening. The ambiance was so-so. Prices are okay, although the food left something to be desired. We had two pasta dishes and weren't particularly impressed. The bruschetta was really good, though. Service was rather poor. Ordered a shandy and got a regular pilsner. Serving time was okay. Paying wasn't very easy, as we only got the money after asking the waiter several times for payment, so we sat there for a good 20 minutes.

This is our second time here. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Depending on the number of people present, the tables are sometimes a bit close together. Nevertheless, we would love to come back soon.

+ Six people still got room on a Saturday - No toilet paper - Too long a wait (except for the appetizer) - Food didn't arrive at the same time... - Allergies weren't taken into account - Not good customer service (although it was actually very promising. I think it all depends on the waiters whether you're forgotten or not) The ambiance: rather a bit of a quirky, fancy place :) If it weren't for the Phoenix Lake as a backdrop, it would have even fewer stars.

I visited Raphael's yesterday on the recommendation of the hotel (Hampton Inn), and I must admit that the food, ambiance, and service are excellent. I relied on the staff's recommendations for my selection, and I was not disappointed. Everything was very fresh, perfectly coordinated, and visually perfectly arranged. The concluding small talk with P&P (the two waitresses) prompted me to return to Raphael's on my next visit to Phoenix Lake and try something else there...

The ambiance is truly beautiful, with a view of Lake Phoenix. The food was truly delicious and arrived after only a short wait. Only the portion size of the ravioli with porcini mushrooms was a bit small. For those with a bigger appetite, I would recommend the lasagna.
