Raphael's am Phoenixsee in Dortmund

If combining the food taste, service and atmosphere/view, it’s the best pasta from my experiences. Highly recommend!

There were about 10 of us. The food was great, the service was good, and the view was even better.

The starter was amazing... The main course unfortunately did not live up to expectations... The clams were unfortunately not good

Very good. We had the carbonara, which wasn't overdone with cream but was well prepared. Whole strips of bacon and very flavorful. The appetizer was also delicious, but a bit small. Our server was very attentive and courteous.

Aside from the fact that we waited a very long time for the main course (the starter arrived very quickly), my review focuses on very important points. Despite announcing that I'm allergic to pepper, part of my meal was served with pepper. If I hadn't been careful, it could have been fatal (emergency doctor, etc.). A brief "sorry" isn't enough in situations like this. The second attempt at the meal was without pepper, but grilled vegetables were omitted (without explanation). Chicken breast filet with rosemary potatoes and grilled vegetables. There were no towels in the restroom. The preparation should have been different for a Saturday evening. The price/performance ratio is not justified. In summary: overrated.

I found everything very adequate and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the pasta was a bit disappointing; it was so unsalted and had a pure cream flavor. Unfortunately, it wasn't that good for me, but the pizza, on the other hand, was definitely tastier.

A really nice and cozy restaurant with fair prices, appropriate for its location on Lake Phoenix (a bit more expensive). I highly recommend the Pizza Gourmet, although some of the pasta portions were very small. Both pasta and pizza were delicious, though. We'd be happy to come back. Cons: Despite moderate outside temperatures (20°C), it was unfortunately very stuffy and warm inside. There's only one women's restroom, which is a bit undersized given the number of seats.

The truffle pasta dish on carpaccio was not only a visual highlight, but also a dream in terms of taste. The quality of the ingredients and the sophisticated presentation really impressed me. There were 6.5 of us there. 1/2 means with a small child. The restaurant is right on the Phoenix Lake and has, in my opinion, a great ambiance. By that, I mean the location and stylish decor. There is one drawback, however: there is only one restroom for men and women, which isn't enough. The service was extremely professional and super friendly; all requests were met promptly and to our complete satisfaction. We felt very comfortable. We ordered several appetizers, and the main courses were pizza- and pasta-focused. In short, everything tasted very good, the quality was excellent, including the drinks! Conclusion: absolutely recommended

The food was truly excellent, but the service was abysmal. Even ordering the appetizer made you feel like you were in the wrong place. After the first appetizer, the waiter immediately asked, "You'll definitely share this one." We ordered three appetizers, but only two were brought to the table at the same time. After the appetizer, we waited almost 30 minutes for our main course. What was particularly negative was that the waiter walked past the table countless times but never once asked if everything was okay and didn't even notice that we were out of drinks. Even when clearing the table, he didn't ask for drinks again. Only after almost 20 minutes after finishing the main course, and by then 40 minutes without drinks, was he asked for a coffee or cappuccino. A shame, because the food was truly delicious.

Hello everyone, After I finished eating and needed to go to the bathroom, I couldn't find any toilet paper in the restroom because they had run out. After I asked the staff about it, they directed me to the women's restroom. After they also didn't find any toilet paper in the women's restroom, I asked again and was handed napkins so I could "at least" wash my hands. When he left the napkins, he said, "Sorry, bro," and said that he apparently checks the restrooms every two hours to see if there's enough toilet paper, let alone wipes for cleaning hands. It's a shame to see such unprofessionalism given the location and the prices. Best regards.

I find the prices a bit excessive. A regular salami pizza costs €16, and a tuna salad costs €16.50 with relatively little tuna.

I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful Italian restaurant, and I highly recommend it! From the moment we entered, we received a warm welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I was particularly impressed by the homemade pasta, which was simply perfect. The staff was attentive and made us feel completely at ease throughout our visit. The service was quick and professional without making us feel rushed. All in all, an unforgettable evening. The ambiance was so-so. Prices are okay, although the food left something to be desired. We had two pasta dishes and weren't particularly impressed. The bruschetta was really good, though. Service was rather poor. Ordered a shandy and got a regular pilsner. Serving time was okay. Paying wasn't very easy, as we only got the money after asking the waiter several times for payment, so we sat there for a good 20 minutes.

+ Six people still got room on a Saturday - No toilet paper - Too long a wait (except for the appetizer) - Food didn't arrive at the same time... - Allergies weren't taken into account - Not good customer service (although it was actually very promising. I think it all depends on the waiters whether you're forgotten or not) The ambiance: rather a bit of a quirky, fancy place :) If it weren't for the Phoenix Lake as a backdrop, it would have even fewer stars.

This is our second time here. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Depending on the number of people present, the tables are sometimes a bit close together. Nevertheless, we would love to come back soon.

I visited Raphael's yesterday on the recommendation of the hotel (Hampton Inn), and I must admit that the food, ambiance, and service are excellent. I relied on the staff's recommendations for my selection, and I was not disappointed. Everything was very fresh, perfectly coordinated, and visually perfectly arranged. The concluding small talk with P&P (the two waitresses) prompted me to return to Raphael's on my next visit to Phoenix Lake and try something else there...

The ambiance is truly beautiful, with a view of Lake Phoenix. The food was truly delicious and arrived after only a short wait. Only the portion size of the ravioli with porcini mushrooms was a bit small. For those with a bigger appetite, I would recommend the lasagna.

The owner had my well-founded, fair review deleted. I think that alone says enough. Feel free to filter for low reviews; you should quickly notice that there are no negative reviews that are older than a month. I would definitely avoid a shop like that. Short version of the original review: Incompetent and unfriendly service. We waited 2 hours for really bad food, which I wouldn't even accept for free, absurd for the price.

The three of us were there on Easter Saturday with a prior reservation. After a few minutes we were assigned a table under one of the artificial trees. The restaurant has very tight seating. So if you need a little more space, you'll have to do a little "puzzle" here when it's full. The food was served in a reasonable time, not too long but not exceptionally fast either. Unfortunately, my two companions were not enthusiastic about their food. The large ravioloni, for example, were probably homemade, but in a rather boring sauce and overall just not enough to fill you up. My pizza, on the other hand, was very good and extremely large. So the choice of food is hit or miss. Overall, our visit experience was good, but not outstanding.

Ambience nice. Service neither warm nor service-oriented. You don't really feel welcome. The food is below average. Far too expensive for what you ultimately get in terms of taste. Toilets not really clean. Won't be coming back. Too bad

First of all, I would like to emphasize that the design of your restaurant is really very attractive. I really liked the atmosphere and was even asked several times which restaurant I was in - which I would generally have liked to recommend. Unfortunately, my visit was overall disappointing. The starter I ordered was completely forgotten. A waiter who was visually reminiscent of Ed Sheeran was particularly noticeable. His behavior was unfriendly and not very service-oriented. When insects made us uncomfortable outside, we asked to sit inside. Instead of receiving assistance, the waiter asked us to take our own drinks with us - which seems inappropriate in a restaurant of this class. At the end we were also given unpleasant looks and felt pressured to pay quickly. Unfortunately, all of this overshadowed the positive overall impression of the beautiful surroundings. I hope you take this feedback seriously and see it as an opportunity to improve the service.

🙂👍 The last visit met my expectations in terms of taste and service. The food was delicious. The portions were reasonable. The staff was attentive, friendly and accommodating. We were warmly welcomed and looked after professionally throughout our stay. Special requests were accepted and you always had the feeling of being a welcome guest. A small downside concerns participation in the voucher book. Raphael's is listed there, which is of course an attractive incentive to visit. Unfortunately, the voucher book does not explicitly state that the voucher is not valid for all dishes on the menu. This caused a bit of irritation as we had assumed that we would be able to use the voucher for our chosen dishes. The staff explained the situation in a friendly manner, but clearer labeling in the voucher book would have been desirable to avoid misunderstandings.

Raphael's is worth a visit. Pizza was very good, pasta and meat dishes were also super tasty. The starter was very tasty. We were served great. We'll definitely be back.

This establishment cannot be missed for a perfect evening in Dortmund. The pleasant atmosphere makes you forget that you have to wait for food. We didn't even have to wait long. Despite the well-filled restaurant on a Saturday evening, you won't be able to stay hungry here for long. The location on Lake Phoenix is ​​almost just the cherry on the cake. Of all the options for dining here in Dortmund, this is my favorite. I would definitely come by more often!

We ordered a lasagne, a salad with chicken breast and a side salad - unfortunately the food was an absolute disaster. The lasagne was inedible: completely soggy and practically without sauce. The salad was also unconvincing, so we can skip any comment on it. Considering the quality, the price is simply outrageous. We definitely cannot recommend this store.

The pasta was totally overcooked and soft and the salad was not appetizing at all. The chicken strips were not seasoned and quite hard. Nice restaurant but no tasty food. That was our first and last visit.

Absolutely great. Ambience: great atmosphere, cozy, natural, green and chic. Food: I had a pizza which, despite being super busy, was brought to the table quickly and was incredibly tasty. As a starter there was carpaccio, which was also excellent. There was no complaint about the service.

The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are attractively presented. In terms of taste, the food is quite good, but the price level doesn't always justify the service offered. For what is served, the prices could be a bit more moderate. The staff is generally friendly, but there are coordination problems. Orders sometimes take a long time, and occasionally the organization doesn't seem to work optimally. This can lead to longer waiting times, especially at busy times, which spoils the overall impression.

None of us enjoyed the food at all. For more than €15 for a pizza, I expected something completely different in terms of taste. This pizza tasted worse to us than a frozen pizza from the supermarket. Something was just missing. The prices are outrageous for the quality. I wouldn't recommend this place, as there are much better alternatives in the area for much less money!

The view of the lake at sunset and delicious beer as well as nice dishes at a balanced price for the location. We'll be back and will try the pizza next time. It was an amazing experience in the heart of Dortmund Phoenix. Truffle Parmesan Pasta is my favourite dish. Also they have delicious wine and Antipasti. Cozy and elegant atmoshphere!

We were in the restaurant "Raphael's" at Dortmund's Phönixsee 🌊 in the late afternoon on a weekday with 3 people 🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏻🧑🏻‍🦼 Of which 1 person is in a wheelchair. 🦽 We really liked the atmosphere in “Raphael’s” 🇮🇹! 👍🏻 The tables are attractively set with fresh flowers and candles. The waitress (male) was friendly, quick and attentive. 👍🏻 The food 🍴🍕🍕🍝 came quickly, but unfortunately we didn't find it quite as amazing as we thought/hoped given the location, the ambience and the prices.   ㋛ The pizzas (Ø 32 cm) were difficult to cut. Unfortunately, the floor was quite dry and tough and the covering could have been more lush. 🍕 For upwards of €16 per pizza ordered, the 2 pizzas 🍕🍕 were unfortunately a bit disappointing. 😒 The pasta dish we ordered 🍝 ("Tagliatelle el Salmone" with spinach and salmon in Pernod cream sauce for €19.50) was good. The portion is quite large. 👌🏻 Pasta dishes 🍝 come with fresh Parmesan 🧀 and pizza rolls. 👍🏻 Unfortunately, the Pernod cream sauce was too anise-heavy for *my personal taste* (I had to think of WICK MediNait) and the dish was otherwise not very seasoned, which luckily you can add yourself.🍴 The red wine 🍷 ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. 👍🏻 In the early evening the restaurant became quite crowded. Therefore, I would recommend reserving your place in advance 🪑! Overall, the location right on Lake Phönix and the pretty ambience are the big plus points and the high prices 💸🪙. My conclusion: ☝🏻 Nice, small, Italian 🇮🇹 restaurant 🍴🥗🍷 with an upscale atmosphere 🌳🕯️🌸 in a great location, with nice service. 👌🏻👍🏻 [As always, the pizza 🍕 is debatable when it comes to personal taste. 👍🏻👎🏻]

Definitely recommended Italian. Despite the size of the restaurant and the many guests, the atmosphere was pleasant and subdued. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Both the pizza and the burger were very good, but the pasta with truffles was "a poem". Therefore at least ☆☆☆☆☆

Unfortunately the food was subpar. I had spaghetti with cod and a pizza. The fish was completely cold, half of the spaghetti was hot and the other half was cold. The pizza was no better than a frozen pizza. It's a shame... the atmosphere is nice and the service is good.

The four of us had dinner yesterday and had a very good impression of the quality and selection of the food through various starters, pizza, pasta and dessert. We liked all the dishes very much. We liked the pasta made from parmesan cheese with truffle sauce the best and is one of the best pasta dishes in the Dortmund area in terms of price and performance. We'd love to come back.

Beautiful ambience with illuminated and Christmas-decorated trees. Furnishings dark, dignified and yet modern. Very cozy. The menu is clear but has everything you want on it. We had 2X King of Pasta, well spicy (the service points out the spiciness) 1X Surf&Turf and a pizza. As a starter 1x fish soup, which was a dream and a salad Phoenix. We absolutely had to try them all. A creamy and frothy soup with salmon, shrimp and fish. For dessert there had to be an excellent tiramisu, tartuffo limoncello and panna cotta. All of this is also a dream and very beautifully presented. Everything is very high quality and fresh. The service also deserves high praise. Unobtrusive and yet present and very attentive. There was one point of criticism that was addressed immediately and resolved with a very friendly smile. All in all, very calm and easy to feel good about. Plus the space by the window with a view of the lake. Thanks. This deserves 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 We will definitely be back. We didn't take any photos, go there and enjoy it :-)))

It was our second time, this time with the whole family. We were thrilled the first time. The staff was very attentive and very friendly. We felt very comfortable with 10 adults and 4 children. Any time!!!

If you can find something on it, the lunch menu is good. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything that day and ordered Penne All'Arrabbiata. The portion was just as big as the cheaper lunch dishes, which also come with a drink. I would have expected the portions to be larger for à la carte orders. The quality of the food is good.

The restaurant is very stylishly decorated and the service was very polite and courteous. Unfortunately we were all a bit cold. But hopefully that is the exception. The pasta in the parmesan loaf is a highlight and the salmon also looked excellent. Unfortunately, the pizza was bland, although visually appealing. Unfortunately, the individual dishes are not labeled with allergens, although the abbreviation is explained at the end of the menu. This urgently needs to be improved! The menu should also be available online. The one that can be found online is no longer completely up to date. It is positive that the toilets are barrier-free.

I'll start with the positive: The ambience is really beautiful at Lake Phoenix. Some of the service was also really nice and attentive. The young gentleman and the young lady who served us really made a positive impression. The slightly older gentleman, on the other hand, was a bit condescending and arrogant. The pizza didn't taste particularly good, but it was really tasty, especially for the price. The carbonara, on the other hand, failed across the board. This only tasted like unseasoned whipped cream that was briefly boiled.
