Geschmacklich sehr gutes Essen. Nur die Portionsgrößen sind eher für kleine Kinder und nicht für Erwachsene.

Sehr leckeres Essen mit toll abgestimmten Gewürzen und vielen frischen Kräutern. Die Schärfe kann man in drei Stufen wählen – „mild“ war wirklich gar nicht scharf und selbst „mittel“ eher an den deutschen Gaumen angepasst. Die Gerichte waren sehr vollmundig und richtig gut. Hilfreich ist es natürlich, wenn man schon ein bisschen weiß, was die verschiedenen Soßen bzw. Arten wie Tandoori, Tikka Masala oder Korma bedeuten, aber man kann auch einfach nachfragen. Entsprechende indischen Küche gibt es auch viele vegetarische Gerichte. Das Restaurant ist nett eingerichtet und der Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und regelmäßig am Tisch, sodass man auch problemlos Getränke nachbestellen konnte. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir waren bereits öfter im Raja Rani. Essen war wie immer sehr lecker, ABER der Service leider sehr unfreundlich – keine Begrüßung, kein Willkommensgefühl. Wir haben uns selten so unwohl gefühlt. Am Marktplatz in Ahrweiler ist auch ein guter Inder. Wir werden zukünftig dort Essen gehen.

Leckeres Essen. Gute Atmosphäre. Kann nur positives berichten.

Wir hatten die Wahl zwischen zwei indischen Restaurants in Ahrweiler und haben uns für Raja Rani entschieden, weil hier die Speisen klar deklariert waren. Wir wollten möglichst vegan essen und bei Raja Rani waren mehrere Hausptgerichte unter der Rubrik "Vergane Gerichte" aufgeführt. Außerdem gab es auch vegane Vorspeisen. Prima. Wir hatten jeweils eine Vorspeise bestellt, frittierte Zwiebeln im Kichererbsenmantel frittiert und gemischtes Gemüse im Kichererbsenmantel frittiert. Superlecker. Dazu gab es 3 sehr leckere Dips. Das Garlic-Naan, das wir noch nachbestellt hatten, kam nach kurzer Zeit frisch zubereitet und war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Als Hauptspeisen hatten wir Gemüse in Currysauce und Kichererbsen in Gemüse-Currysauce, jeweils mit Basmatireis. Auch diese Gerichte waren überagend lecker. Wir waren anschließend auch wirklich satt. Die Wartezeit war angemessen. Da wir draußen saßen, konnten wir den Blick auf die nette Atmosphäre der Ahrweiler Einkaufsstraße mit den kleinen Läden und den schönen Häuserfassaden genießen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und konnte kompetent Auskunft über die Speisen geben. Ich kann für mich sagen, dass dies das beste indische Restaurant war, in dem ich bisher gegessen habe. Wir waren 2 Tage später erneut dort und haben die gleiche positive Erfahrung noch einmal machen dürfen.

Authentische indische Küche, gute Qualität. Die Auswahl an Getränken ist etwas eingeschränkt und speziell Wein ist für die Gegend unterrepräsentiert. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen ist schnell serviert worden.

Das Hähnchen-Korma war absolut köstlich und das Knoblauch-Naan perfekt. Der Service war von Anfang bis Ende exzellent, und das Restaurant selbst war sauber, einladend und sehr gepflegt. Insgesamt hatten wir ein wunderbares Erlebnis und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Ich fange mal mit dem Positiven an: Es wurde wurde schnell geliefert und das Essen war heiß. Das war es auch schon. Wir haben aufgrund der Bewertungen dort bestellt. Auf dem Essen standen Nummern die uns nichts sagten, denn bei der Bestellung war keine Nummerierung angegeben. Also reingucken und verteilen. Das Essen sah absolut identisch aus und war nur durch das Fleisch so gerade eben zu unterscheiden. Reis auf der einen Seite und auf der anderen Seite war eine pürierte feste Soße mit 5 quadratischen Stückchen (!) Fleisch. Ein Gericht war mit Mango und wir gingen von Mangostücken aus. Dem war nicht so, es war scheinbar mit püriert. Hinzu kommt, daß es eine milde Schärfe haben sollte... Ich möchte nicht wissen was dann mittescharf oder scharf ist. Es hat alles nur scharf geschmeckt, die Zunge und der Hals haben gebrannt. Für Gerichte die zwischen 14 und fast 19 Euro liegen haben wir definitiv mehr erwartet. Fazit: 1x und nie wieder. Das war das schlechteste Essen was wir je hatten.

Das Essen wäre sehr lecker gewesen, wenn ich nicht ein scharzes Haar im Essen gehabt hätte und mein Mann zwei Haare im Essen hatte. Danach war uns der Appetit vergangen.

Frisch und schmackhaft. Empfehlenswert

Wir sind heute zu zweit bei Raja Rani essen gegangen, eine gemeinsame Vorspeise und jeder sein Hauptgericht mit sehr leckerem Basmatireis, zum Abschluss noch eine Nachspeise. Es war wirklich sehr sehr lecker!! Wir sind wirklich nett empfangen worden und sogar der Chef hat uns angelächelt und ich kann es auch gar nicht verstehen warum so schlechte Bewertung abgegeben werden. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Wir hatten für 6 Personen reserviert. Wir hatten Vor- und Hauptspeisen. Uns allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Getränke-Nachschub erfolgte erfreulich zügig. Ein rundum gelungener Abend. Vielen Dank.

The food was delicious, but the service was unfortunately very unfriendly. There was no proper greeting, no sense of welcome. We have rarely felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. Please note that negative reviews are often deleted, as my husband also left a review, and the restaurant owners reported it to Google, resulting in its removal.

We waited two hours for our food, called several times, and were repeatedly hung up on. Unfriendly and antisocial.

Nicely decorated restaurant. We stopped in spontaneously for dinner and insisted on getting a table by the window. However, during our two-hour stay, no one else was there. The first server gave the impression that we were a nuisance when ordering. I'm used to more friendliness. The food was tasty and arrived relatively quickly, and the portion sizes were perfectly adequate.

Based on the good reviews, I decided to give it a try. What can I say?! The service was polite and friendly. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. BUT the food was bad. I ordered lamb and wasn't sure if there were different kinds of meat in the pot. It was all so overcooked, but apparently not lamb! Both dishes were almost identical, except one had a bit more vegetables! It's more of a delivery service that should really specialize in pizza with methi. Oh, and the naan bread was just pancakes, like the kind I make at home!

Everything was really tasty, the rice was cooked really well. Food was nice and spicy and the naan bread with garlic had a lot of garlic on it and was portion-wise enough 😊

It used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the area, but after today I won't be going there anymore. I called to order something and pick it up based on the menu on the website. When I arrived after the agreed time, I still had to wait because my order apparently wasn't taken correctly. Then the manager of the restaurant shows up with my order, and when he goes to charge me for it, he wants a different amount than what I had in mind; he denies repeatedly and with various excuses that he cannot sell me the order at the price that appears in the online menu. When I saw we were getting nowhere, I left. All in all, not a handling of the situation that you as a customer would expect from a restaurant, let alone from a manager.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had! I had Chicken Korma and samosas. It was very delicious. I’m from Southern California and I’ve tried quite a few Indian places all over and this is definitely up there. The staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend.

My absolute favorite Indian restaurant. Starting with the furnishings, you feel at home. A fountain is bubbling, nice, calm music is playing and it is VERY clean. (also the toilets) The food tastes great. I don't know of anything that could be improved. Great recommendation!

Had a dinner here on our way to Austria. Very authentic taste. The chicken Korma is one of the best I ate, and I traveled in Northern India. Mango lassi also very tasty.

We ended up in this very nice Indian restaurant by chance. Since it was lunchtime and not very crowded, we were able to sit down with our dog (dog under the table, as it should be anyway) and had an absolutely excellent meal. We were asked how spicy our dish could be, which I found to be very important. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. We would go there again at any time if we found ourselves in Ahrweiler again.

Ambiance is very nice and inviting. Toilets clean and stylishly furnished. Food was good to very good. Vegetarian starter plate was very good. The main courses were also very tasty. The Madras Curry could have been a little spicier. It's a matter of taste. The curries were a bit too “mushy” and could have been a little more liquid. Unfortunately, service wasn't that great. Empty glasses, the table is cleared but the empty glasses are not addressed. Cutlery was forgotten for the main course. Good 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Good service,very friendly and welcoming staff,we ordered the veg and tandoori mixed platters which were enough for all of us we also ordered dal and butter chicken which were well spiced as per our request the garlic naans were especially good and were really well made.

I called before our meeting to ask if I could take the dog with me. They said a small dog was okay. After the more precise definition of “small” I took my Mini Australian Shepherd with me. When the dog came out from under the table, the older gentleman who served us (I think it's the boss) immediately told me that he had to stay under the table. If I had known how unwelcome he would be there, I would have left him at home. While eating I pointed out that I didn't want any mushrooms in the vegetables, whereupon the boss said rudely that there weren't any in them anyway. It happened as it had to happen - I was allowed to choose the mushrooms, which luckily for me were large, from the food. The food was still delicious, so I didn't deduct a star for it. There are still two stars for the service because the food was brought and served quickly and friendly by waiters. When the bill came, I was last in line and it turned out that a lassi had not been charged before. Whoosh, I had it on my credit card without asking and said that we should sort it out. It wouldn't have been a problem for me in the first place if the man of the house had asked us. I will no longer visit this restaurant because friendly service with a smile is part of a successful restaurant visit for me and my dog.

We were pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, the service was good, the staff was attentive. 2 small starters, 2 main courses, 2 desserts and three drinks for €63 are really cheap given the quality of the food, which was very good. We'd love to come back.

Had a lovely meal their tonight, the staff were very friendly too. They let us in with our dog (hund) which was great! There was another dog in there too - a very forward thinking Indian restaurant. They were careful to place us away from other tables which is fair enough, so if they're really busy, don't expect to get in with a dog, but they'll do their best. Danke schon 🐕👍😅

Great food, friendly and polite service who are also happy to joke. The restaurant is wonderful and centrally located in the old town of Ahrweiler. A wonderful example of us becoming colorful again My better half and I enjoyed ourselves and will be happy to try more dishes in the future.

The ambience is very nice. The restaurant and the toilets were very clean and stylish. One of the two starters was good, the other wasn't quite hot and unfortunately cold at the end. The dips that went with it were great! Unfortunately, the main course had nothing to do with Indian cuisine; Indian spices and attention to detail were missing. The naan we ordered, which was specifically ordered for the main course, was unfortunately already served as a starter and was then cold for the main course. Unfortunately, the request to serve it warmed up again with the main course was not responded to. Too bad!

The food is great, every time! However, unfortunately not the service. My husband's food was forgotten. Also his second beer. I don't know what it was. My conclusion: Very tasty Indian food at a high price, but sorry guys, the service MUST be better!

We were there for the first time on a recommendation. The food is really good and delicious! ☺️ .. Aaaaber.. We had reserved online, - also for outside if requested. That's what we said to the receptionist when we arrived. Which also CONFIRMED this and put us outside. Everything was good. Food also came relatively quickly. It tasted great and we were satisfied. There were also 2 funny, nice ladies sitting next to us :). Otherwise we would definitely have tipped too; or even more stars; IF we hadn't been sent off so harshly. We had finished eating and just wanted to finish our drinks in peace (we weren't even there for an hour) - but then we had to go in, OTHER guests would probably have made reservations there. ?! We asked if we could finish the drink since we were finished anyway, but no. We should vacate the place. It was more than unpleasant and not nice! Then you just didn't feel comfortable anymore. Unfortunately it's really a deduction; as far as service is concerned. A pity….

Very delicately spiced Indian food that is served beautifully presented. The lassi are well prepared and not too sweet. There's even kulfi ice cream for dessert. Pleasant atmosphere (not so kitschy) and friendly staff. Reservation makes sense.

The atmosphere is modern and inviting. We had an Indian beer with our very tasty curries. The starter was naan with garlic, samosa and papadums. The service was a bit slow and apparently he didn't know the dishes 😅 We also had to wait a relatively long time until the bill came. Only the boss himself collects money. This suggests that employees probably don't see tips. We ordered food with colleagues. We chose the lunch menu that popped up on the website. A chicken curry dish and mango lassi + small salad + 1 naan. When I ordered on the phone I was told it was either or. On site I tried to point out again that the plus sign didn't mean either or, but that everyone understood it to mean that we were getting 1 curry dish, a mango lassi, 1 naan and a small salad. I only got straws when I asked. The owner didn't get involved at all. To be honest, I found it stupid. I won't come here again in the future. In my opinion, this is not possible at all and is deception. I was disappointed. That's why I've now adjusted my review, even though the food was delicious.

The Raja Rani offers a cozy atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. The dishes were delicious and attractively presented, something completely new in the Ahr Valley, especially Chicken Tikka Masala, is recommended. The price-performance ratio was fair. Overall, a very satisfactory visit. The Typical Indian Dessert Gulab Jamun was fantastic. So 100% recommendable!

I recently visited Raja Rani Indian Restaurant and was impressed by the quality and authenticity of the dishes. I am Indian myself and have often eaten Indian food in restaurants, but the food has never been as authentic and delicious as it is here! I can only say one thing: WOW! The food was so good, the meat dishes and the vegan dishes were unique and if you ask, they can be really spicy. The managing director was super nice and attentive and was able to give me a feeling of home that I can only find in India. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. The bathroom is also worth mentioning because it is kept very, very clean. Anyone who not only wants to eat Indian food but also wants to experience India has come to the right place! I'm always happy to come back!

Very good food, even better service

Today we were at Raja Rani for the first time, I often rely on good reviews and I have to say I am totally disappointed and surprised by so many good reviews, the food was inedible, we had ordered 2 different warm Indian dishes and strangely enough Both dishes had the same sauce and therefore the same taste (the consistency of the sauce was also very liquid - similar to soups). I also have to say that I have often visited Indian restaurants and know the taste of many Indian dishes but if you eat at Raja Rani Unfortunately, since you're there, you're totally wrong, it has NOTHING to do with Indian cuisine! Conclusion: I wouldn't recommend it!

Always thrilled with the food here! Everything seems perfectly coordinated and clean. The mango lassi and the homemade pistachio ice cream are particularly recommended.

We had reserved one a few days in advance and were surprised that when we arrived there were other people standing there waiting for a seat to be allocated, which didn't happen despite the reservation... after waiting forever we got a table but now again we had to wait forever for the food (unfortunately the long wait isn't worth it, next time to the other Indian)

Centrally located in the Allstadt of Ahrweiler. The dishes seem fresh and high quality. Service friendly and atmosphere cozy. There are also outdoor spaces available for the summer. Parking options are available all around the city.

Wir hatten das Glück an einem Samstagabend zu dritt ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch zu bekommen. Der Service war nett und aufmerksam, das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und konnte auf Wunsch mittelscharf oder scharf zubereitet werden. Serviert wurde auf kleinen kupfernen Stövchen, so dass die Gerichte die Temperatur gut halten konnten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt absolut, das Interieur ist modern und stimmig und wir kommen gerne wieder. Das Lokal ist eine gastronomische Bereicherung für unsere Stadt.
