Had a lovely meal their tonight, the staff were very friendly too. They let us in with our dog (hund) which was great! There was another dog in there too - a very forward thinking Indian restaurant. They were careful to place us away from other tables which is fair enough, so if they're really busy, don't expect to get in with a dog, but they'll do their best. Danke schon 🐕👍😅

Great food, friendly and polite service who are also happy to joke. The restaurant is wonderful and centrally located in the old town of Ahrweiler. A wonderful example of us becoming colorful again My better half and I enjoyed ourselves and will be happy to try more dishes in the future.

The ambience is very nice. The restaurant and the toilets were very clean and stylish. One of the two starters was good, the other wasn't quite hot and unfortunately cold at the end. The dips that went with it were great! Unfortunately, the main course had nothing to do with Indian cuisine; Indian spices and attention to detail were missing. The naan we ordered, which was specifically ordered for the main course, was unfortunately already served as a starter and was then cold for the main course. Unfortunately, the request to serve it warmed up again with the main course was not responded to. Too bad!

Very very tasty 😋 Bindi Okra and Garlic Naan was amazing! 😻 Dal curry also very good. It took about 30 minutes for the food to come out but that didn't matter. 😉 The staff was also friendly.

The food is great, every time! However, unfortunately not the service. My husband's food was forgotten. Also his second beer. I don't know what it was. My conclusion: Very tasty Indian food at a high price, but sorry guys, the service MUST be better!

We were there for the first time on a recommendation. The food is really good and delicious! ☺️ .. Aaaaber.. We had reserved online, - also for outside if requested. That's what we said to the receptionist when we arrived. Which also CONFIRMED this and put us outside. Everything was good. Food also came relatively quickly. It tasted great and we were satisfied. There were also 2 funny, nice ladies sitting next to us :). Otherwise we would definitely have tipped too; or even more stars; IF we hadn't been sent off so harshly. We had finished eating and just wanted to finish our drinks in peace (we weren't even there for an hour) - but then we had to go in, OTHER guests would probably have made reservations there. ?! We asked if we could finish the drink since we were finished anyway, but no. We should vacate the place. It was more than unpleasant and not nice! Then you just didn't feel comfortable anymore. Unfortunately it's really a deduction; as far as service is concerned. A pity….

Very delicately spiced Indian food that is served beautifully presented. The lassi are well prepared and not too sweet. There's even kulfi ice cream for dessert. Pleasant atmosphere (not so kitschy) and friendly staff. Reservation makes sense.

The atmosphere is modern and inviting. We had an Indian beer with our very tasty curries. The starter was naan with garlic, samosa and papadums. The service was a bit slow and apparently he didn't know the dishes 😅 We also had to wait a relatively long time until the bill came. Only the boss himself collects money. This suggests that employees probably don't see tips. We ordered food with colleagues. We chose the lunch menu that popped up on the website. A chicken curry dish and mango lassi + small salad + 1 naan. When I ordered on the phone I was told it was either or. On site I tried to point out again that the plus sign didn't mean either or, but that everyone understood it to mean that we were getting 1 curry dish, a mango lassi, 1 naan and a small salad. I only got straws when I asked. The owner didn't get involved at all. To be honest, I found it stupid. I won't come here again in the future. In my opinion, this is not possible at all and is deception. I was disappointed. That's why I've now adjusted my review, even though the food was delicious.

The Raja Rani offers a cozy atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. The dishes were delicious and attractively presented, something completely new in the Ahr Valley, especially Chicken Tikka Masala, is recommended. The price-performance ratio was fair. Overall, a very satisfactory visit. The Typical Indian Dessert Gulab Jamun was fantastic. So 100% recommendable!

I recently visited Raja Rani Indian Restaurant and was impressed by the quality and authenticity of the dishes. I am Indian myself and have often eaten Indian food in restaurants, but the food has never been as authentic and delicious as it is here! I can only say one thing: WOW! The food was so good, the meat dishes and the vegan dishes were unique and if you ask, they can be really spicy. The managing director was super nice and attentive and was able to give me a feeling of home that I can only find in India. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. The bathroom is also worth mentioning because it is kept very, very clean. Anyone who not only wants to eat Indian food but also wants to experience India has come to the right place! I'm always happy to come back!

A real culinary delight! I had the pleasure of dining at Raja & Rani and it was an absolute delight. The flavors of Indian cuisine were exquisite and every dish was expertly prepared. Very good food, even better service

Always thrilled with the food here! Everything seems perfectly coordinated and clean. The mango lassi and the homemade pistachio ice cream are particularly recommended.

Today we were at Raja Rani for the first time, I often rely on good reviews and I have to say I am totally disappointed and surprised by so many good reviews, the food was inedible, we had ordered 2 different warm Indian dishes and strangely enough Both dishes had the same sauce and therefore the same taste (the consistency of the sauce was also very liquid - similar to soups). I also have to say that I have often visited Indian restaurants and know the taste of many Indian dishes but if you eat at Raja Rani Unfortunately, since you're there, you're totally wrong, it has NOTHING to do with Indian cuisine! Conclusion: I wouldn't recommend it!

We had reserved one a few days in advance and were surprised that when we arrived there were other people standing there waiting for a seat to be allocated, which didn't happen despite the reservation... after waiting forever we got a table but now again we had to wait forever for the food (unfortunately the long wait isn't worth it, next time to the other Indian)

Centrally located in the Allstadt of Ahrweiler. The dishes seem fresh and high quality. Service friendly and atmosphere cozy. There are also outdoor spaces available for the summer. Parking options are available all around the city.

Wir hatten das Glück an einem Samstagabend zu dritt ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch zu bekommen. Der Service war nett und aufmerksam, das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und konnte auf Wunsch mittelscharf oder scharf zubereitet werden. Serviert wurde auf kleinen kupfernen Stövchen, so dass die Gerichte die Temperatur gut halten konnten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt absolut, das Interieur ist modern und stimmig und wir kommen gerne wieder. Das Lokal ist eine gastronomische Bereicherung für unsere Stadt.

We have been very impressed with the food in the Raja Rani restaurant on two visits so far. The prices were completely reasonable, even compared to other good restaurants in the area. When we visited during the week, the restaurant was (well) busy, but by no means overcrowded. The staff was friendly.

A delicious meal! We sat outside! The only thing I found very outrageous was that after the main course we had ordered an Indian ice cream and we had just finished eating it when suddenly a man stood in front of us with a tray and wallet and we were supposed to pay immediately. It seemed to have been the boss himself. We had a table for two and wanted to spend a cozy evening. We were literally asked to pay. He probably needed the table for other guests. No smile or nice word on the lips. The other service staff were friendly. Pretending to be a boss like that is not customer friendly. I found it very rude, I actually wanted to order something to drink 😞😠but we forgot that. Were less than an hour there🤔

I think the food is really good and not expensive. The atmosphere is very nice, the service at the table is friendly. Only the greeting and the seating were not so nice twice - you always had the feeling that something had gone wrong with the reservation and that you would only get a seat with gritted teeth.

Food was great, came very quickly despite the store being full and the price was ok too. The small negative point was that the short-term online scheduling didn't work, but there was still a table available and that two side dishes were forgotten. But it wasn't bad for us at all

How far is India from the church tower top in Ahrweiler? The answer is very simple: there are 2 blocks. An Indian restaurant recently opened on Niederhutstrasse and offers moderate prices. Considering this, the price-performance ratio is really good. The food is delicious and almost every dish is served in a small bowl and it stays warm until the last bite. The team is very nice and responded to our wishes. By the way, vegetarian dishes are not a problem (and as you can see).

1 star because I have to give one. Yesterday I booked a table for today. When we got there there were already 20 people standing there who had all reserved and not a single table was even remotely free. Inside, no one was interested in those waiting...when we asked, we were put off twice and a waiter was really pampered...after half an hour of waiting, we left. Nobody cared or perhaps apologized....never again!!

Table reserved for 6 p.m. A totally overwhelmed staff. Unable to accommodate the ever-lengthening line of guests. Then 2 cellars took the order one after the other. After a good hour the starter came... after 1.5 we left without the main course. We like to eat Indian food...never there again

Wir waren spontan eingekehrt und sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Der Service war sehr freundlich, das Ambiente ansprechend und die Speisen durchweg lecker! Wir hatten die vegetarische Vorspeisenplatte, Garlic Naan und Palak Paneer. Bei der Vorspeisenplatte hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass sie bei dem Preis direkt mit etwas Naan für die gereichten Saucen kommt, aber nachbestellt kam es auch recht schnell an. Das Palak Paneer (was ich schon in diversen Restaurants gegessen habe), war sehr rund abgeschmeckt und schön cremig. Wir waren nicht das letzte Mal hier :)

We were out and about in Ahrweiler today and discovered this Indian restaurant by chance. Beautiful, nice interior, super tasty food and fast service. We were there shortly after 5 p.m. and it was still empty except for one couple. When we left around 6:15 p.m. it was almost full. Guess nothing will work without a reservation. Everyone who came had reservations.

Reserve a table online! When we arrived on site we were told: No table today! That's a no-go ! - A pity !

We had a great evening as a couple at the Raja Rani Restaurant in Ahrweiler. The service was top, an employee was always available and took care of our needs in a very friendly manner. The food was super tasty. It was my first time Indian and it won't be the last! The price is unbeatable. The price-performance ratio is absolutely TOP. A very large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The only drawback is that the tables are very close to each other. It's a bit cramped overall and you can hear the conversation from the table next to you. But that's a minor point of criticism in an absolutely outstanding restaurant in Ahrweiler's city center!

Wir haben relativ spontan (einen Tag zuvor reserviert) einen Tisch für 4 Personen bekommen. Das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet und weist ein authentisches Ambiente auf. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und stets aufmerksam. Verhältnismäßig schneller Service. Vielfältige Auswahl (Fleischgerichte, vegetarisch, vegan) Das Essen wurde ansprechend serviert, war sehr lecker. Zwei der vier Personen waren indischem Essen gegenüber zuvor eher skeptisch eingestellt, sind jetzt durch euer Können überzeugt worden! Preis-Leistung sehr gut! Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Waren gestern Abend ganz spontan dort zum Abendessen. Uns hat es super gefallen. Tolles Ambiente, richtig nettes Personal, Speisekarte mit einer guten Auswahl. Zur Vorspeise (Naan-Brot) gab es noch kostenlos 3 verschiedene Saucen. Wir hatten als Hauptgerichte ein Linsen- und ein Kichererbsengericht, beides total lecker und mit Liebe zubereitet. Preise absolut fair. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Restaurant 100% empfehlen.

Heute zum ersten mal das Restaurant besucht. Mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern. In einer gemütlichen Ecke gesessen und gegessen. Wir waren heute Abend mit 22 Kollegen innen in diesem tollen Lokal Essen und es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis für mich einmal Indische Küche zu Kosten. Einfach nur ein Traum. War sooo begeistert und vorher sooo skeptisch. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und wenn jemand auch keine Ahnung hat von diesem leckeren Essen,so wie es bei mir war,geht einfach hin und probiert. Es ist einfach nur erste Sahne. Aber vorher eine Reservierung vornehmen. Sonst könnte es keinen Platz mehr geben.Der Service war sehr gut und freundlich. Immer wieder!!!👍👍👍

heute dieses indische Restaurant auf Empfehlung besucht. Vorher online die Speisekarte durchgeschaut und war schon angetan. In einer kleinen Gruppe haben wir gespeist und waren alle sehr zufrieden. Schönes, frisch renoviertes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung, interessante Presentation der Speisen und soooo lecker. Dieses Restaurant werde ich gerne weiter empfehlen und erneut besuchen.

Mein Mann und ich haben ein paar Tage Urlaub in Ahrweiler gemacht und uns riesig gefreut zu sehen, dass ein indisches Restaurant eröffnet hat. Wir wurden sofort freundlich begrüßt und auch ansonsten war das gesamte Personal freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr auf Zack. Das Essen war spitze, super lecker und frisch. Neu eröffnet nach der Flut. Modernes Ambiente. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Menschen unglaublich freundlich und angenehm. Hier gehen wir wieder hin. Man könnte auf zwei Tische verzichten, was die Kapazität reduziert, aber dadurch mehr Ruhe gewinnen. Für uns war es dennoch das Richtige.
