Zum Geburtstag durfte ich das Rabbit Hole in Mönchengladbach besuchen – und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht! Schon beim Betreten spürte man die herzliche Atmosphäre. Der Tisch war liebevoll mit einer kleinen Dekoration für meinen Geburtstag geschmückt, eine wirklich aufmerksame und persönliche Geste, die direkt für gute Laune sorgte. Die Burger waren einfach hervorragend – saftig, geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das hausgemachte Nussecke, das der Inhaber selbst backt. Ein echtes Highlight und der perfekte süße Abschluss! Dazu genoss ich ein wunderbares Getränk aus der Brauerei direkt über dem Restaurant – die „Hensen“-Spezialität hat perfekt gepasst und rundete das Erlebnis ab. Das Service-Team und der Koch waren absolut spitze: freundlich, aufmerksam und mit sichtlicher Leidenschaft bei der Sache. Man merkt einfach, dass hier mit Herz und Verstand gearbeitet wird. Das Rabbit Hole ist für mich ein echter Geheimtipp in Mönchengladbach. Ob zum Feiern, für ein gutes Essen oder einfach einen schönen Abend – hier stimmt einfach alles. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann es jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen! Vielen Dank für den wunderbaren Abend! 🎉

Leider muss ich nach den letzten zwei Bestellungen eine sehr negative Bewertung hinterlassen. Ich habe am 26. April das erste Mal bestellt und seitdem insgesamt 8 Mal, weil das Essen zuvor wirklich hervorragend war. Umso enttäuschender ist der starke Qualitäts- und Serviceabfall in den letzten beiden Bestellungen. Bei der vorletzten Bestellung war bereits eine von zwei Pommes-Portionen sehr klein. Diesmal war es noch schlechter: Für 12,90 € habe ich zweimal Pommes mit jeweils zwei Dips bestellt und erneut sehr kleine Portionen erhalten, wie auf den Fotos zu sehen ist. Zusätzlich waren die Pommes diesmal auch nicht gesalzen. Das steht in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis. Auch der Umgang mit meiner Beschwerde war enttäuschend: Bestellt wurde um 21:12 Uhr, die Lieferung erfolgte um 21:31 Uhr, auf der Rechnung steht 21:27 Uhr. Angerufen habe ich um 21:32Uhr. Am Telefon wurde mir nur gesagt, dass die Küche geschlossen sei und ich mich am nächsten Tag melden solle. Beim Schreiben dieser Rezension habe ich außerdem gesehen, dass ein anderer Kunde über Uber Eats offenbar eine sehr ähnliche Erfahrung gemacht hat. Es scheint also kein Einzelfall zu sein. Sehr schade, da die Qualität zuvor deutlich besser war. So ein Umgang mit Kunden ist enttäuschend.

Die super leckeren Burger lassen keine Wünsche offen, denn man kann seinen Burger auch selber zusammenstellen. Für die Unentschlossenen gibt es aber natürlich auch köstlich kombinierte Burger-Vorschläge! Ich habe mir statt Pommes als Beilage zusätzlich das vegane Bohnenpattie gegönnt. Das war wirklich die Krönung des Ganzen! Top abgeschmeckt und eine super Alternative!!! Ich durfte inzwischen alle Varianten probieren und muss sagen: Egal ob vegan, vegetarisch oder mit Fleisch; es werden nur die besten Zutaten ausgewählt und zubereitet. Man schmeckt förmlich, dass Liebe und Spaß in der Küche herrschen. Die Fleischpatties sind perfekt gegrillt wie zuvor erfragt. Da steht der Chef oft selbst mit am Grill um seinen Qualitätsstandard zu überprüfendes zu halten. Cooler Typ! Cooles und entspanntes Team! Gemütliche Höhle wie der Name schon hergibt. Leckere selbstgemachte Limonaden und gezapftes Bier! Was will man mehr?! Einfach hervorragend! Wir kommen gerne immer wieder! Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Burger war top, bun ist perfekt. Ambiente echt sehr schön und ausgefallen. Nur musste ich über eine Stunde auf meinen Burger warten… und das trotz mittlerer Auslastung an einem Dienstag. Außerdem wird auf der Karte erwähnt, die Patties werden „Medium“ gemacht… leider war das bei uns 2 nicht der fall. Von daher Burger top; Fleisch eher hmm. Wenn man den Burger in 10 Minuten bekommt, dann könnte ich es dennoch tatsächlich weiterempfehlen…

Für mich der beste Burger in Mönchengladbach, raffiniert angerichtet, in einzigartigem Ambiente, einem alten Gewölbekeller. Ich freue mich immer über den Blick in die Küche, wenn man die Räumlichkeiten betritt. Mein Favorit unter den Burgern ist der Drunken-Goat mit zartschmelzendem Ziegenkäse, dazu ein Hensen-Bier. Einfach herrlich. Auch der Service ist super freundlich, wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Seit Jahren bin ich Stammgast im Rabbithole. Die Burger sind vielfältig, originell, super lecker und treffen genau meinen gewünschten Garpunkt beim Fleisch. Die Kompositionen sind kreativ zusammengestellt. Die vegetarischen und veganen Burger sind auch sehr lecker. Meine Freundin war begeistert beim letzten Besuch vom vegetarischen Burger Mr. Spicy. Für mich ist es das beste Burger Restaurant in Mönchengladbach und eins der besten, die ich jemals besucht habe. Ich liebe den Gewölbekeller. Es ist so eine ungewöhnliche Location für ein Burger Restaurant. Der Service ist immer nett und zuvorkommend. Ich unterhalte mich sehr gerne mit allen Servicekräften und lache mit ihnen. Der Service ist für mich mindestens genauso wichtig wie das Essen und gehört für zum Restaurant Erlebnis dazu.

Einmal "down the Rabbithole" abtauchen in den alten Gewölbekeller wo man die besten Burger Mönchengladbachs findet. Mega leckere Burger in verschiedenen Styles, Italiano mit Rucola und Parmesan oder z.b. der Holy shit BBQ (natürlich gibt es noch weitere, alle Burger sind auch in Veggie oder Vegan zu bekommen. Die Buns sind vom lokalen Bäcker, dazu gibts lecker knusprige Sweet Potato Fries oder eben auch die klassische Variante mit mehreren verschiedenen Hausgemachten Dips. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen auf dem Hensenplatz chillen und sich die Burger per QR Code bestellen. Seit mittlerweile 12 Jahren immee noch einer der Besten Burgerläden! Danke euch dafür ! <3

Ich gehe gerne zum Rabbithole, denn meiner Meinung nach haben die wirklich die besten Burger und Süsskartoffelpommes! Die Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär und deshalb komme ich gerne zu zweit oder mit einer großen Gruppe dahin!

Wir haben zum erstenmal hier Burger gekauft. Wir hatten vorab telefonisch to go bestellt. Der schwarze Vorhang die Treppe runter hat mich ein wenig verstört 🤣 und es war ein wenig dunkel. Ich hatte noch einen älteren Gutschein und die Dame sagte mir, der läuft nicht ab, den Rest habe ich bar bezahlt. Wir hatten 2 Classic Burger und 1 Kids Bunny Burger. Wir hatten etwa 10 Minuten Fahrweg nach Hause und nun ja, das Essen war kalt, aber es hat geschmeckt! Tip: Definitiv vor Ort essen! Wir kommen wieder und essen dort!

Super! Die Tacos waren toll, die Rippchen köstlich und die Burger fantastisch... Aber das Bier 🍺 war unglaublich.

Seit längerem heute nochmal da gewesen und es war wirklich unglaublich lecker. Ich hatte den Magic Mushroom mit Veggie Patty, Süßkartoffelpommes und ne Nussecke alles war köstlich.

Die Burger schmecken gut, da gibt es von mir keine Kritik. Preise sind meiner Meinung nach etwas zu hoch, besonders bei den Getränken. Für den hohen Preis gibt es dann auch nur Fritz Kola.

Wunderbare Burger (alles auch in vegetarischen Variante), sehr nette Bedienung und gemütliche Atmosphäre. Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert!

A truly wonderful evening in a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, the kitchen door was open, and our clothes smelled like a deep fryer.

We were there on October 18th, the room was too small for several people. You could almost slide off the benches, so you couldn't sit properly. And the air inside just smelled of burnt grease, with hardly any ventilation. There was only one restroom for women and one for men, and then there was the restroom opposite the kitchen. Find a bigger place where you could open. My clothes smelled of burnt grease after the visit.

Best burger ever. Even the vegetarian one is amazing, which isn't something to be taken for granted. Each burger is unique and carefully crafted. And once you've tried the homemade buns, you won't want anything else. Really friendly, relaxed service.

We ordered there today via Uber Eats. Based on the prices, I expected something different. A portion of fries for €4.50, I expected more than the pitiful handful that arrived, some of which were even half-raw. A burger for €20, which I specifically ordered without lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and onions, still arrived with those toppings. Too bad, because it was my son's birthday, and we wanted something special. The Rabbit Hole really needs to improve this, because it's lost me as a customer. Update: The Rabbit Hole contacted us after we contacted them via email and, on the one hand, apologized and, on the other hand, refunded a significant portion of the costs. That's a great way to show such backbone!

Personally, I think the Rabbit Hole is way too expensive! The burgers were good, as was the service. The ambiance, well, not so great. But €100 for three burgers, fries, sauces, a glass of wine, and a soft drink!!! In my opinion, that's disproportionate, and we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

Amazing service, best burgers in town! I highly recommend the Rabbithole. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff and owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. You can tell they put their passion into their work. I particularly love the many events they host regularly, from concerts to social events. An absolute highlight is, of course, the connection to the Hensen Brauhaus, which is located right in the building. The beer is simply fantastic—in my opinion, the best in Mönchengladbach. They serve really good, hand-brewed beer here, which goes perfectly with the delicious burgers. An all-around perfect place for a relaxed evening with friends! I'll definitely be back.

It was very good there, we sat on the terrace and enjoyed it. Everything was delicious, the service friendly and quick. The only thing that was surprising was that we were handed one menu while the table next to us was given another, one from the cellar or something similar. Mmm, you shouldn't discriminate between guests. It doesn't go down well when you subconsciously notice it as a guest. Just a tip.

A regular customer since day one, the burgers are consistently good and among the best in the area—there's something for everyone. The side selection is limited but good. Service is friendly, but can be a bit slow during busy times. The ambiance lives up to the Rabbit Hole name.

The atmosphere is great; you sit in a basement reminiscent of "Alice in Wonderland." I think it's very well done. Unfortunately (hence deducting one star), wheelchair users have little access to this ambiance. It starts with three steps at the entrance. Then there are several more. I couldn't find an elevator. It's a shame. The same goes for people with disabilities, who will have a lot of trouble navigating the narrow corridor and stairs. The restrooms are clean, but not exactly wheelchair accessible. The building is also quite old. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions. Vegetarians and vegans can also find something here on the somewhat confusing menu. My girlfriend and I found the food (mostly hamburgers) very tasty. They also had sweet potato fries with delicious homemade dips. The prices are already in the mid-to-upper range; for two hamburgers, a portion of sweet potato fries with dips, and a drink, you'll quickly reach €45. The food there was very tasty and freshly prepared. The wait time was normal. The drinks, some of which were homemade (e.g., lime with rosemary or pineapple with basil), were very tasty. Conclusion: A fun food restaurant with a different twist, with a great atmosphere. Not exactly cheap, but worth a visit.

The “Gabi’s vegan burger” was simply delicious! The bean patty was perfectly seasoned and had a great texture. In addition, the team was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit even more pleasant. The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting and cozy, ideal for a relaxing evening. I highly recommend Rabbithole, especially if you're looking for delicious vegan and vegetarian options. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

After a good 7 years now, I have to edit my review. The service was, as always, very good. Nothing has changed about that. The ambience has remained the same. But our citizens, see picture, are not what others post here. Carelessly mashed together and the taste is not what it used to be. Therefore down from 5 stars to 3 stars. We were all very disappointed. That's why we didn't like the lead price ratio either.

Burgers are tasty, individual, creative but not hipster and made with high-quality ingredients. A little too big and juicy to eat by hand. The fries are good, the sweet potato fries are great (the second best we've ever had). The selection of drinks isn't huge, but it's individual. The service is friendly, quick and attentive. The ambience is okay, but the background noise is problematic. With 15 guests in the room it was difficult to converse at the table. When there's less going on, it's cozy and pleasant. The toilets, especially the men's toilet, are still not perfect. The ventilation struggles to combat the difficult situation. Otherwise, all past problems have disappeared.

The food is good, but throwing a party of 8 people out more or less because the table has been given away again is not acceptable. If that had been agreed upon it would have been ok, but it left a bad aftertaste. If you make a reservation, it is best to ask in advance how long you are tolerated. I'm relatively well known and I'll let you know.

After we had been looking forward to the visit for a long time, as we had expected a restaurant with great attention to detail based on the logo and website, we were unfortunately a bit disappointed. After the entrance area had already aroused our anticipation, we were all the more astonished when we suddenly found ourselves standing in the gray dining room, in which suddenly there was hardly any ambience left. All burgers are also available in veggie versions, which was great! Unfortunately, the food didn't really impress us. It was tasty, but nothing special. However, super nice service!

We were there for the first time. Service very nice. One can argue about the ambience. The turquoise color doesn't exactly radiate warmth. The size of the citizens bears a poor relationship to the price. For a burger with fries, around €20 seems excessive to us.

Addendum The owners were very accommodating after my complaint. And they sent me a voucher that I could try again. Because something can always go wrong. I thought that was very nice. I redeemed it too and this time it was nothing and delicious (it was also very tasty before :-)). Hence my adjusted rating. August 2024 I'm so mad right now! We were there at around 5:30 p.m. and ordered something there. Food came quickly and tasted delicious too. About 15 minutes after eating we wanted to go for a walk at Geropark. It didn't work because I had stomach cramps and unfortunately we went home. Everything broke out and I'm now lying in bed with cramps on my birthday and the day is over. I've never had anything like that after visiting a restaurant. Thanks for ruining my birthday...

This is a fantastic place with a special thematic background. So many carefully chosen details make it very interesting. The food is great. We had burgers for dinner, and all of them were flawless. There’s a nice selection of beer. We had a great time and will definitely be back

Simply delicious and super nice staff

When we were there we were the only guests. In terms of taste, the burgers were okay and for us (2 people) fries and sauce would have been enough with the burgers. The staff was very friendly. The meat and the buns were good, the sauces weren't my thing, but of course that's a matter of taste.

You have to be at this place once. I would never have thought that there was something so damn delicious in Mönchengladbach. The ones (Holy Shit BBQ and the Sweet Potatoes) were awesome. In my opinion, no shop in the area comes close to it. Everyone's opinion is different but it's definitely worth a try to eat here. If you don't like it here, you've chosen the wrong food that doesn't suit your taste. 99% recommendation rate.

Absolute hit! Ate the “Le Francais” burger and were so happy about it. Super tasty. Great quality. You're super full but you don't have that nasty feeling of fullness like at other burger shops. Added to this is the unique atmosphere, like Alice in Wonderland. Might even have more craziness (for my taste). The housemade lemonade (lemon with rosemary) is also a blast 😊 The only point of criticism: we would have overlooked you (if the locals hadn't recommended you to us) because no sign is visible straight away. Unfortunately I have to write down my frustration here: We had reserved a table for 8 a.m. and had to find our way first. This was our first and probably last visit to the Rabbit Hole. The stairs down were so slippery with grease that you really had to be careful. Down in the cellar there was an incredibly disgusting smell of chip fat - no wonder you walk past the kitchen whose door is wide open. That also explains the greasy soil - the fat It was just in the air. The girls from the team asked us whether we wanted to sit downstairs or upstairs on the terrace - upstairs of course. We were told to scan the QR code and order. No sooner said than done. Then it was about payment: Google Play, PayPal, credit card or voucher. Please order with cash or EC card back downstairs from the girls. So I slid back down the fat stairs and placed the order again. The waitress was surprised that you couldn't order with a debit card above - I pointed out to her that it was even written on the menu and was surprised that the service staff didn't even know about it. The burgers were super tasty 😁 and the service at the other restaurant, which also offers food and drinks on the terrace. The Rabbit Hole doesn't offer drinks, you have to order them separately. All of them are complicated, greasy and not very hospitable. I didn't tip the girls at Rabbit either...I didn't know what for? Take an order? Very very disappointing

I found ordering confusing; The outdoor area is shared with the Hasenbande restaurant. For 1 restaurant you had to order using the QR code. Didn't keep which one. You had to order the fries separately. The temperature of the food was bite-sized, not hot. There are a lot of stairs. Especially down to the toilet and you also have to go down there to pay in cash. The service is very friendly and understanding if you are confused by the 2 locations and ordering methods. ☺️

Unfortunately for the first and last time. The food on the terrace is paid for in advance, our fries were so salty that they burned on our lips for a long time. The service person tried it himself and said “that’s right!” Taste terrible. “That was all, no goodwill offer or anything like that. The burgers (e.g. salad wasn't fresh) were significantly overpriced in terms of price/performance ratio. Conclusion: far too expensive for the modest quality of the product.

A no restaurant and oh surprise it resembles a rabbit hole. So the name is reflected here. The main focus here is burgers. They are super delicious! You just have to try them. Price/performance are i. O.. The staff is super nice and accommodating. You can park quite easily nearby. There is no direct parking space nearby. Leave a like 👍 if you share this review.

In advance: This is a pickup. Our food was ready on time and the pickup went smoothly. However, the burgers themselves couldn't convince us (BBQ and Yam Burger). Both burgers were cold, which is a shame when the walk home is 260m. Unfortunately, the bacon on both burgers wasn't crispy at all, while the sweet potato fries were far too dark and bitter. The BBQ Burger didn't live up to its name and didn't really taste like BBQ. Unfortunately, the Yum Burger fell apart immediately and had to be eaten with cutlery. The fat potatoes and the pesto mayo were delicious. We won't order again.

We made a spontaneous reservation today and ate here while passing through. The location isn't my cup of tea, but the food ♥️ was really delicious. Unfortunately, we live 300 km away. Otherwise we would be regular guests 😊

I was finally here recently. Given the good reviews, I couldn't miss it, but unfortunately my expectations weren't met. The location was pleasant and the waitress was very personable, which was definitely a plus. The homemade pesto mayo was also very tasty. But unfortunately the burger itself couldn't convince me, especially in terms of the price/performance ratio. The bacon wasn't cooked through or crispy like it should be in my opinion and the patties weren't seasoned enough, which didn't help the taste of the burger overall. Another point of criticism was that the buns on the bottom were so greasy that I was forced to eat the burger with cutlery, even though I'm more of an 'eat burger with hands' type of person. Even the staff in the middle couldn't hold it together anymore. The sweet potato fries were tasty in themselves, but for my taste they could have been a little crispier. Given that the Rabbithole restaurant specializes exclusively in burgers, I actually expected more and unfortunately I can only give it 3 stars because I've definitely eaten better for the money. Maybe I'll give the restaurant another chance, but for now it stays at 3 stars.

Burgers are delicious and the service is top notch.

If you want to eat delicious burgers and fries, you've come to the right place. There are great burger ideas that you can top with individual extras. High-quality ingredients, great meat, although the veggie version is also great, crispy fries, classic or sweet with delicious mayo, also spicy. The service is top, always friendly and attentive. The only drawback is the smell of frying and frying, including the slippery floor, which isn't necessarily surprising in a burger roastery. Since the restaurant is in the basement, fresh air is in short supply. The Rabbithole is highly recommended from a culinary point of view. Definitely try it. Really delicious :)

I don't understand the value for money. You pay as much for a burger as you would for an Argentinian steak house fillet in a steakhouse. However, the quality is not comparable to other burger stores. That's why you should want to come here if you want to eat burgers.
