Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food, the atmosphere and the far too expensive food and drinks. We had reserved a table, it was initially full, but not overly full despite the PINK concert. The girls from the service tried really hard, but somehow things didn't go smoothly, no cutlery, broken plates... but Elena always remained friendly and tried everything to make people forget about the problems. To eat: The meat was good, the preparation on the plate wasn't nice, the salad was a standard salad, nothing special, which would be expected at the price of €34.90. I also find noodles for 18.90 very expensive. The starter plate was very tasty and reasonably priced. The wine: A day at the sea cost 39.00. That's a huge exaggeration since it costs €11 in the store. I'm happy to pay an extra charge, but more than three times as much is a lot. My summary of the evening, a lot of money for mediocre food. It's a shame... We know it differently...

In addition to the mixed starter for two (even if "predominantly vegetarian please" ended up being exclusively vegetarian, very good quality), a main course is hardly manageable. It's a shame when really good linguine with seafood is reduced by a third, because really “no longer fits in”. Next time we'll know in advance. Victoria Lergenmüller's Pinot Gris with the meal and the Cottoneria Spritz at the front round off the evening. The location in the commercial area and the exposed concrete architecture are not a disturbing matter of taste. Easy to reach on foot from the Hotel H4.

Very good portions - almost a lot :) Very, very tasty and we will definitely stop by more often! Great service with a waiter who is really attentive and looks at you when you order. Shortly before a concert we were looking for a place to eat and spontaneously saw it. We spontaneously got a table for 4 people and were served nicely. Food came quickly and tasted good.

Overall, delicious food, very nice service, and a nice ambience. In my opinion, the background music could have been a little quieter, and the prices are not cheap. We had a lovely evening anyway.

Ambience really great. Staff extremely friendly, you definitely have to say. Unfortunately, the food didn't score points for us, we often eat out, often Italian. We missed the taste and spice of Italian food. For the high price you naturally expect a piece of Italy on your plate.

Die Vorspeisen waren super. Nur viel zu groß. Die Hauptspeisen waren nicht so doll. Ich hatte Nudeln mit Meeresfrüchten. Ich musste den Fisch leider auf dem Teller suchen. Und alles nur so kleine Stückchen Fisch. Keine schönen Garnelen oder Ähnliches drin verarbeitet. Schlecht abgeschmeckt und kaum gewürzt. Meins war es leider nicht.

We zijn hier kortelings 2x gaan lunchen omdat we in de buurt waren. De eerste keer was het ontzettend druk, maar niet storend. We namen een heerlijk voorgerecht en 2 pasta's. Ik nam een carbonara en een beetje extra peper was leuk geweest. Dat stond niet op tafel en door de drukte heb ik het ook niet gevraagd. De 2de keer waren we aanvankelijk alleen in het restaurant. We namen een voorgerecht voor 2 personen en een suggestie, de burger. Het was alweer een heerlijk gerecht. Enige opmerking is dat de 6 euro voor de frietjes die we moesten bijbetalen het niet waard zijn. Volgens mij, maar ik ben niet 100% zeker zijn het ook niet de frietjes die op de kaart staan. Ik denk dat het zoete aardappelfrietjes moeten zijn en het was een portie gewone dunne frietjes. Voor de rest, een absolute aanrader om naartoe te gaan. Het is een goedkoop restaurant, maar oogt prijzig.

The ambience is really nice, the service is also courteous and friendly. The truffle spaghetti is a bitter disappointment, as others have noted several times in the comments. This has nothing to do with truffle pasta. No shaved truffle to be found, the sauce watery and tasteless. 3 people in our group had the dish and everyone was absolutely disappointed. This should urgently be readjusted or the dish should be taken off the menu. My group of friends' other pasta dishes were all good. The meat dishes on previous visits were also all recommended.

Vorab - wie manche Bewerter sich hier äußern, ist an Respektlosigkeit kaum zu überbieten ! Man wünschte manchmal, man könnte diese Personen bewerten, es gäbe dann auch nur 1 Stern, obwohl sie eigentlich ganz nett sind ! Insbesondere mal persönlich was sagen und nicht im Nachhinein nur den Unmut kundtun ! Wir hatten einen köstlichen Lunch - ein Treffen mit einem Jugendfreund, in einer tollen Location und mit aufmerksamem Service ! Gerichte tatsächlich vergessen zu fotografieren, deshalb nur Fotos des Ambientes. Vorspeisenteller, mit Dips / Knopfbroten, Cesar Salat und Trüffelnudeln - alles geteilt - waren super ! Es gibt Cola Light und Cola Zero - ich liebe es, wenn man versteht, dass das zwei verschiedene Getränke sind 😍

It was drafty where we were sitting (ventilation), which unfortunately made the stay a bit uncomfortable. The food and ambience were great, the service was okay - could have earned more money ;-)

The prices are a little high, but you can rarely find this quality in Mönchengladbach. The starter version for 2 people is more than enough, the pasta afterwards is almost too much. The price for the pasta with guanciale is 24 euros. The portion was large enough, but unfortunately the taste was not very convincing and there was no sophistication. The flavor only had one main note, tomato. Great ambience! The food can be improved.

Das war unser 3. und letzter Versuch im la Cottoneria. Die Küche kann mit dem Anspruch auf Hochwertigkeit einfach nicht mithalten. Die Portionen sind üppig, aber leider schmeckt es nicht! Es fehlen Gewürze und Rafinesse au dem Teller. Schade, das Ambiente ist wirklich ansprechend.

We had dinner here today for my birthday. After we clearly communicated how we would like our pasta, mine arrived wrong after 30 minutes. Of course I asked for an exchange. The waitress then told us that it would take a while. Two minutes later the same pasta arrived on another plate with the actual type of pasta I ordered (tagliatelle) but my old spaghetti from before was mixed in between. The plate also had a significantly smaller portion than the other plate and our table neighbor. Also, my pasta wasn't fully cooked. Unfortunately, due to this rude behavior from the kitchen, we will no longer be going to this restaurant. What's more: the online menu has significantly cheaper prices than the ones on site. This is misleading for guests.

Essen ist in Ordnung, Service leider ausbaufähig. Essen kam kalt an. Kellner haben sich nicht erkundigt. Der Aperitife kamen nach dem Wein, der ungefragt eingeschenkt wurde.

Ein sehr gemütliches und moderenes Restaurant. Waren mit Freunden dort zum Essen verabredet. Man kann lecker Essen und danach noch bequem zusammen sitzen was trinken und quatschen. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Freuen uns schon auf nächste Treffen dort.

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Das Essen ist immer frisch zubereitet. Die Portionen sind gut. Personal ist freundlich. Auch die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön. Preisleistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung, teilweise teure Gerichte, aber vollkommen in Ordnung bei der Qualität! Ich komme aufjedenfall noch öfters vorbei :)

Service und Atmosphere super. Innen- und Außenbereich einfach entspannt und schön. Die Küche hat leider etwas nachgelassen. Die einst wunderbare Vorspeisenplatte ist da leider das beste Beispiel. Auch die Nudelgerichte waren mal deutlich besser.

Wir waren gestern hier essen, es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze vor der Tür, das Essen ist super lecker und tatsächlich garnicht so teuer wie man meint wenn man dieses Restaurant sieht, von Innen ist es wunderschön gestaltet, sehr gemütlich.

This is not a hotel enev it was advertised. It is an apartment. There is enough equipments there but too small room. There is no food, reception there. The place is so noisy even at midnight. I could not sleep at all for two days because of the top floor person made super noise whole night. They don't care that just said sorry when I made a complain. The place is not good if you look for a quiet place. The only good things was the what's app help desk reply quickly.

Ambiente ist toll, nur leider wenn es voll ist, auch sehr laute Geräuschkulisse. Wir waren als Gruppe dort und leider wurde ein Essen vergessen. Es kam, nach mehrfacher Nachfrage erst, nachdem wir anderen bereits den Nachtisch bekamen. Zumindest wurde das vergesse Essen zum Schluss nicht berechnet. Das Essen ansich war super lecker!

Wir genießen gelegentlich die excellente Küche dieses Restaurant. Ende August aßen wir beide Loup de Mer. Besser geht kaum. Der Fisch war perfekt. Der Service ist recht aufmarksam. Das Ambiente eher Bístro-orientiert

Bier gibts nur in Flaschen, Gast muss sein Bier selber in Glas schütten. Geht gar nicht. Sonst leckeres gute Essen.

Wir waren mit insgesamt 3 Paaren in der La Cottoneria. Vorab möchte ich erwähnen das es an den Speisen überhaupt nichts auszusetzen gab. Alles war sehr lecker. Aber der Service in der La Cottoneria ist eine einzige Katastrophe. Der Hochtisch an dem wir gegessen haben war eine klebrige Masse. Auf Nachfrage erklärte man uns das wäre die Möbelpolitur…man müsste den Tisch abschleifen. Beim Wein brachte man uns 0,1l Wein, rechnete aber 0,2l ab. Wieder nachgefragt sagte man uns, das man sich vertan hätte. Im Verlaufe des Abends brachte man 5-6 Speisen oder Getränke an den Tisch die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Eine bestellte Flasche Wein und ein Espresso wurden überhaupt nicht gebracht. Ich bestellte ein Rosé Glas um bei meinem Freund mitzutrinken, was bekam ich…ein Glas Rosé. Teller und Besteck wurde abgeräumt obwohl wir noch nicht alles zu Ende gegessen hatten. Ich weiß das es in der Zeit nach Corona schwer ist, Personal zu finden. Aber die Damen und Herren die gestern Abend in der La Cottoneria gearbeitet haben waren komplett überfordert.

Wir waren zu viert in dem Restaurant und hatten eine Vorspeisenplatte und diverse Hauptgerichte. Die Vorspeisen waren bis auf den ungenießbaren Lachs und Schinken OK. Mein Hauptgericht Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten war absolut nicht schmackhaft.

Service überfordert, bei der Pasta ist Salz nicht Mal in die Nähe gekommen. Leider wurde lieblos Serviert und leere Gläser über einen langen Zeitraum übersehen.

Wir waren wieder einmal da! Die Mitarbeiter waren wieder freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war wieder lecker. Das Wetter stimmte. Also ein rundum gelungener Besuch. Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Wir waren schon mehrmals zu Gast, leider war das letzte mal eine Enttäuschung. Davon abgesehen, dass die bestellten Ravioli nicht genießbar waren, wurden diese nach der Vorspeise vergessen zu servieren, sodass zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang über 1 Stunde Zeit lag und der Hunger schon vergangen war. Auf Nachfrage wurde die Schuld auf den neuen Mitarbeiter geschoben, der die Abläufe wohl noch nicht kennt und den Gang nicht abgerufen hat. Offensichtlich wurden die beiden Portionen aus den genannten Gründen nicht gegessen, worauf nur gefragt wurde, ob man das Gericht einpacken sollte, anstatt mal zu fragen, ob etwas nicht korrekt war. Als wir eine Flasche Wein bestellten, wurde direkt bestimmt und forsch mit „den gibt es aber nur als Flasche“ erwidert, worauf hin wir uns fragten, ob man uns nicht zutraue eine ganze Flasche zu bestellen?! Zudem von zwei verschiedenen Servicekräften keine ausreichenden Kenntnisse über die Weine. Der Wein wurde dann in einem Kühler gebracht und wir mussten diesen selber nachschenken. Fehler bei den Speisen oder neuen Mitarbeitern können immer passieren, jedoch fanden wir es sehr schade, dass die Aufmerksamkeit fehlte und sich auch nicht gekümmert wurde, geschweige denn etwas adäquates angeboten wurde.

Modernes Restaurant fussläufig zum Borussiapark. Qualität des Essens ist gut. Fisch, Fleisch, Pasta zu vernünftigen Preisen. Die Drinklist lässt eigentlich auch keine Wünsche übrig. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich.

Ende November waren wir ,Corona bedingt, nach weit über einen Jahr wieder einmal in Mönchengladbach und damit auch im La Cottoneria. Es war wieder sehr schön. Wie es sich in der heutigen Zeit gehört, wurde alle Regeln eingehalten. Das Essen war wieder sehr lecker und am Service gab es auch nichts auszusetzen. Also Mädels und Jungs, macht weiter so. Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Von der Tageskarte Entenbrustcarpaccio zweimal als Vorspeisenportion bestellt. Bei Servierung wurde das auch so bestätigt. Berechnet wurde der Preis einer normalen Portion. Servicekraft meinte, es tue ihr leid.

Das Servicepersonal war am Tag unseres Besuchs etwas gefordert (offenbar aufgrund einer Hochzeitsgesellschaft). Das hat zu längeren Wartezeiten geführt, aber das Personal war trotz der Situation zu jedem Zeitpunkt freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die von uns bestellten Gerichte (5 Personen) waren durchweg auf den Punkt und sehr gut. Niemand hatte irgendeine Beanstandung.

Wir waren im September dort und haben einen sehr schönen Abend dort mit leckerem Essen und einer guten flache Wein verbracht. Der Service ist sehr gut und um die Kunden bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nach dem Lockdown wiederkommen.
