Pütz in Siegen

My family loves Timberjacks. We love our vacations, whether to Canada or the USA. Timberjacks is always like a little vacation for us. Great food, great atmosphere, superb service. A definite recommendation!

I don't know where these bad reviews come from, maybe Siegen has a lot of complaining students. Definitely nice staff, good value for money!

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The schnitzel and the fried potatoes looked like ready-made products, and the sauce also tasted like it came from a bag. My child's pasta was served cold. The food was served within 15 minutes, which suggests that it was not freshly prepared. Freshness and quality were clearly missing here. The service was friendly, but unfortunately that can't make up for the mediocre food. After our criticism of the food, we were only met with a “sorry” and told us to come to the cash register to pay. It's a shame, I was hoping for a lot more.

Maybe I'm spoiled, but the gyro was lukewarm and barely seasoned, as were the fries. The tzatziki was more like a yogurt and quark mixture with no flavor. The ambiance is dated and somewhat broken, but it reflects my overall impression. It's a shame, it could be much better.

Simply convenience food for too much money, in my opinion. I understand that the location and size of the restaurant might be a bit demanding, but the food is simply too expensive for what it is. The Siegerland Krüstchen (small roasted schnitzel) seemed deep-fried and isn't really what I'd call a schnitzel. In my opinion, it seemed very much like an industrial product. The portion, and therefore the price/performance ratio, isn't really right for me. For that money, you can get a freshly breaded schnitzel in other restaurants where the chef has first pounded it with a hammer and then sautéed it in the pan. There's not much more to say; everything is simply average and nothing special. It doesn't taste bad, but the food isn't exactly a highlight. I think it's a good place for people who want to sit outside for a bit and have something to drink and eat.
