I have to say, my expectations were truly dashed. The food and drinks were a disaster, the staff were completely overworked, and the boss was a terrible faggot.

What a disappointment...at 11:00 a.m., almost half the buffet was empty... The breakfast selection promised on the menu: nowhere to be found! We asked three times if we could order something to drink. The answer was: A colleague will be here soon. 😡 We drove almost 100 km for this.... Conclusion: Not recommended! My birthday was ruined...

We went to the cafe for breakfast today. It started with something going wrong with the reservation. Our server was friendly, but it took forever for the first drinks to arrive. The buffet (when it was restocked) was good for omnivores (according to my companion). The vegan options were very manageable. But hey, they have oat milk... that's a real plus. Still, there's still plenty of room for improvement. The fruit ran out for a long time and wasn't refilled for ages. Unfortunately, reordering drinks wasn't possible. We would have liked to stay a bit longer, but it was too annoying without drinks. When we wanted to pay, no one felt responsible. We waited a good 20 minutes, and even when we were standing at the front, it took another 10 minutes. As a layperson, I'd say there weren't enough staff on the counter. But there were four people behind the counter. That could be better.

The cake was delicious😋, the outdoor area/terrace was sunny with a view of the adjacent forest🌳👍, and the staff were very friendly and attentive😉. I'd be happy to come back anytime👏!!! (June 11, 2025)

We were there with six people on June 16th at 5:30 p.m. The reserved table was ready. The first problem: there were still leftovers from previous guests. When we asked for the table to be wiped, the waitress complied. However, the young man couldn't bend over far enough, so I wiped it myself. During the meal, the salad with the schnitzel felt like it had already been prepared at 8 a.m. It had been more beautifully presented on previous visits. When we asked about cutlery (there weren't enough left in the trays on the table), we were told, "Check the other tables." This made us lose our strength. The other trays outside hadn't been refilled for a while, so we had to serve ourselves at the waiter's table. We waited more than twenty minutes for dessert (a few scoops of ice cream). My wife wanted another Willi. The waitress's response was almost verbatim: "It's not available." Our objection that it was on the menu was met with, "It's out of stock." No alternative offer or... Here, the customer is anything but welcome. This was our last visit here.

We were at Del Sol last Monday (a holiday) with our one-year-old daughter. Despite it being a holiday, it was surprisingly empty, which initially put us in a good mood. I politely asked for a new pinsa, as my daughter couldn't eat it like that. However, the response was unsympathetic. They claimed, "It was only the edges that were burnt." Only after I showed them the bottom was the pinsa reluctantly taken away – without any apology. Instead of a solution, we had to wait another very long time, while our own food was already on the table and our daughter still had no food. After about 30 minutes, the same burnt pinsa suddenly appeared on our table again – without any comment. My husband was told that they couldn't make another pinsa due to time constraints, but at least they wouldn't charge for it. Overall, the visit was disappointing: ❌ Long wait times despite the restaurant being empty ❌ No understanding or apology from the staff ❌ No solution-oriented approach to a simple complaint I remembered Del Sol as being much better, but after this experience, we definitely won't be eating there again.

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be actively hated without having done anything, just go to this restaurant. The waiter managed to treat me like an annoying nuisance who dares to order food in a restaurant within three minutes. A disgrace, I know. As soon as we walked in, we weren't greeted, but rather eyed as if we were about to steal something. The menu was practically hurled at our table as if we were in a scene from a mafia movie, just before someone gets shot. Charming! I politely asked for a vegetarian option – to which I received an annoyed eye roll and a mumbled "It says so." I was about to clap – not in enthusiasm, but in his face. The food? It was okay. It could have been a Michelin-starred meal, though – hard to enjoy when you feel like you've personally insulted the waiter's grandmother. Conclusion: If you like being ignored, snapped at, or ignored, this is the place for you. For everyone else: Save yourself the visit and your self-respect.

I've been to Café del Sol in Siegen several times now and always enjoy returning. The food is consistently delicious, freshly prepared, and lovingly presented – whether it's a burger, pasta, or breakfast, there's something for everyone here. I particularly like the beautiful, cozy atmosphere, which invites you to linger – whether inside with its modern yet warm interior or outside on the large terrace in good weather. The servers are always friendly and attentive, even when it's busy. My only minor criticism: Sometimes it takes quite a while for drinks to arrive or for anyone to even show up to take your order. Especially during peak times, you'll need to be patient. Nevertheless, if you want to enjoy a relaxed meal and feel comfortable, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back!

We wanted to eat here today with our family of seven. Our waiter was very friendly. Our drinks and appetizers were served promptly. Since we couldn't order everything we wanted because ingredients and entire dishes were missing even though they were listed on the menu, we had to skip a few things. After an hour, one of the seven people received their order. Half an hour later, when we asked for it, the remaining orders were brought one after the other. Some were incomplete, a cheeseburger with a single patty instead of a double patty was sent back with a request to fill it out. Burgers with sweet potato fries were ice cold, pasta with mushrooms was ice cold; all the dishes were simply cold. Everything was sent back; one of the waiters' comments that everything would now have to be thrown away were ignored. It is impertinent to shout this at us as an accusation; if the food had been okay, we would have happily eaten it and even paid the rather high prices. We also told our friendly waiter that good management and control of the processes could have prevented this disaster.

We had reserved a table for 12 people at 1 p.m. on Saturday! Despite the email confirmation the night before that the table was ready, other guests had to be moved, and the tables had to be cleaned and pushed together by us! Everyone around us who arrived later got their food! Only our order didn't arrive! After waiting for 2.5 hours and complaining several times, we finally got our food! The service was friendly, but we had the feeling that, despite the lack of business, they were overwhelmed due to a lack of staff! The restrooms were also dirty, and there was no toilet paper! This was probably our last time here! It's a shame, because it used to be very nice and clean, and it was one of our favorite places!

Any cheap burger at McDonald's or similar would be much better. It only came with two slices of tomato, but no lettuce. The burger also lacked a tasty sauce. It was honestly the worst burger I've ever eaten. My wife had a farmer's salad, which was very filling and delicious. The fries were also very good. We were at Café del Sol last week. My mother had fond memories of her last visit three years ago, which made the disappointment even greater. We had to wait quite a while for our order to be taken. Almost everyone around us had already received their drinks, except us. We had almost finished our food when the drinks finally arrived: the ice in the Coke had completely melted, and the coffee was cold. We then asked for the drinks to be canceled. The waitress reacted very rudely, turned around with an annoyed "Pfff" and left. Very rude. I would like to mention another waitress who brought the food; she was very friendly and even apologized for the delay. When we later received the bill, the canceled coffee was still listed. We had originally planned to order some cake and end the afternoon in a relaxed manner, but after this experience, we just wanted to leave. Unfortunately, I hadn't read the many negative reviews beforehand. They seem to be justified, and the staff doesn't seem to care much about them. The food was okay, but certainly not worth the price for this service. This was definitely our last time.

I was extremely disappointed yesterday that the service and brunch offerings had become so poor. You can tell that absolutely no effort or love has been put into it. The service is simply not good and simply not friendly. The four of us paid €90 for dry rolls and truly terrible food! I won't recommend this place to anyone!

It was one of my fave cafes until yesterday. The service always sucked as the waitresses attitude is almost always as if they are forced to work there. However the food was always good. I don’t know if they changed the cook or something but the burgers we got was disgusting. There were rotten tomatoes and vegetables in it. Everyones Meat was cooked until almost burnt, dry and just plain unpleasant. Now everyone who ate those burgers are laying in bed with fever and stomach sickness. Never again.

One of the worst brunches you can imagine. We only had our drinks after we'd eaten our second roll, and they were served very unpleasantly by the overwhelmed staff. The buffet selection left a lot to be desired, and the hot dishes were cold and soggy. The price of €105 for four people is outrageous. I wonder how such a great location can offer such poor service and exist... you'll NEVER see us again!!! The star 🌟 is for the parking lot.

The bread on the burger was watery. A very long wait. The fries fell off, and I didn't get the missing fries. The sauce was wrong. The burger was topped with the wrong topping. And I still had to pay the full price.

5 stars Absolutely nothing to complain about... I stopped by during a bus tour and was completely satisfied. I ordered: Cold milk with coconut Pinsa Chicken Caesar Provence bread with aioli Green tea Sonne Asien's Royal Served as ordered. While the ambiance is the same everywhere, the location in Siegen nevertheless made me want to linger. The food was simply perfect. The service (Nik served) was also friendly, courteous, and conscientious. All in all, a great stay with everything that goes with it.

You have to wait a very long time to order food, the waitresses don't listen very well, and I got something different than what I ordered. The burgers aren't as good as they used to be... The coffee only came after asking 3 times, 40 minutes later!!! Doesn't work at all! 3. When we got up to help ourselves at the buffet, we found almost nothing but empty containers. It felt like it was only filled up when requested. Buffet, all you can eat, I'm laughing my head off! Rather all you can find!! We definitely won't come back. Today was the biggest disappointment I could ever experience on Mother's Day. Foreign shame for advanced students! Disaster!

Absolutely terrible! The salad for over €10 was child size (you even have to order a small slice of baguette), the turkey schnitzel was breaded molded meat and the classic burgers were worse than in well-known fast food restaurants, without salad etc. We can't recommend it under any circumstances and the prices border on being cheeky!

A total disappointment!! First I was told that the pizza dough was already empty (7 p.m.). I then ordered a schnitzel. The schnitzel with turkey meat was simply disgusting! There was no chef working there! Pressed molded meat with lots of breading, absolutely tasteless. Plus a hint of lettuce, without dressing and already half dried out. Really great atmosphere, I have to say. Even though we initially just wanted to drink a coffee, we also ordered a piece of cake, which was freshly prepared and extremely tasty. The service was also very good and very pleasant.

I wanted to give the store another chance, but... THEY JUST CAN'T! The store makes a pretty shabby impression. Tables not really clean, chairs not clean, etc. It took 35 minutes from sitting down to ordering and even then only after we asked. After over 70 minutes there was still no food on the table! When the longed for food finally arrived, sauces were missing and the food was also cold! We didn't have any cutlery either. My sauce for the fries had been sitting for a while and a skin had formed. And the burger was beyond fried. A pinsa was simply forgotten to prepare. Staff is not capable and poorly coordinated. Luckily we didn't ask when paying if everything was OK.

We were there this week. My husband had a latte and I had a cappuccino with a Belgian waffle. There was ice cream with the Belgian waffle. The ice cream was ok. The Belgian waffle tasted like a warmed up, sugary packaged waffle from a well-known manufacturer. This was not edible. The service was top. The young lady was very nice and very attentive. Just as quickly. The cracks in the table could be cleaned 😉. Everything that didn't end up in the stomach collected there.

I ordered chick&chips to take away for €9.20, out of trust in the company I didn't check them only to find out when I got home that I only got a few fries without any meat. Really sad but I know where I won't order next time.

We visited at around 3 p.m. There were few people there, a group here and there. We waited 30 minutes and then had to go to the counter ourselves to draw attention to ourselves. Until then, the waiter occasionally walked past us without greeting us, let alone taking our drink order. Since we had more than enough time, we ordered the food straight away. The drinks we ordered came without glasses, we got some ourselves at the counter. The food arrived relatively early. However, my order - Pizza Serano - was cold. The children each ordered a scoop of ice cream for dessert for €2.20 each. One of the two balls was "empty" on the inside, so it was basically just rolled up onto the ice cream spoon, which meant that the mass of the ball was only half as large. In total we left €110 for service that could really be improved and food that was mediocre at best. The waiting time until we could place the order is only expected at peak times in the evening. The employees seemed demotivated and we felt more like a nuisance. When we left the restaurant we weren't said goodbye or even noticed and the employees seemed to prefer to chat with each other. I'm by no means someone who complains about everything or a "complicated" guest, but there was a clear lack of professionalism here and I will no longer recommend the restaurant.

Not even a menu for food was distributed. Rarely experienced such poor service. Stay away from the store!

However, I found the ice cream advertised there from a supposedly well-known manufacturer - I've already forgotten, it's that well-known - although it had an intense taste but wasn't creamy. I think the idea of ​​“good products without additives” - at least as far as I remember the idea with ice cream - is absolutely great!!!! But it wasn't really tasty and it was very, very expensive. Well, a matter of taste.

Eating takes a very long time. But it tasted good.

Drinks only came after 30 minutes, and then the wrong one. It can happen, but it took another 30 minutes before the right thing happened. Same game when eating, ordered whole Pinsa, got half. When informed, she went back to the kitchen instead of bringing the other half later. When asked, they said it would be "warmed up again because it's already taking so long"... Warmed up food, yes delicious. The others' food could have used some "warming up" as everyone's food was at most lukewarm. The whole pinsa came another 40 minutes later, when everyone else's plates had already been cleared away. Then Jägermeister shots were ordered for the whole day and after 20 minutes of waiting we were told that the Jägermeister was empty, at 7:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening and there was no alternative. All in all, it's just a disappointment and a shame to charge these prices for such a service and such an organization... Never. Again.

There were 5 of us eating there today. First of all I would like to emphasize: The service was super nice! And also insightful about our criticism. They really did a great job there! One star is deducted because the kitchen showed no understanding at all for our criticism. However, the food was very disappointing across the board. Unfortunately, the burger patties were very dry on both orders, and the bread wasn't great either. You wouldn't have been able to taste the "flavor" of the burger (e.g. feta arugula) without knowing it. The two schnitzels we ordered were really tiny. Yes, prices are rising, portions are getting smaller. But even by such standards that was surprisingly little. And we're talking about schnitzel for €18.90 per portion. The sweet potato fries in the bowl were completely black (but still edible with enough sauce). However, in my opinion, they shouldn't have been released like that at all. The taste of these fries stayed in your mouth for several hours. Overall, the visit was unfortunately very disappointing and we would definitely not be coming back in the near future. This was not a culinary experience that you would want to tell your friends about in the next few days. Really a shame.

Something was always missing from the buffet, it took a while until it was refilled and then you had to ask, for example, to bring plates. "Tomatoes - Mozarella" were served without mozzarella... - "Croissants?" - "We don't have any more!" A waitress filled a plate in front of me and scraped out the last salmon... Bon appetit!

A little too loud. Unfortunately the space between the tables is a bit tight. So it's tight and quickly uncomfortable. The food is fresh and delicious. The refill could be a bit quicker

Food is good so far - but nothing surprising. The service was unfortunately disappointing on the last two visits with long waiting times and incorrect orders or forgotten side dishes that were not delivered throughout the entire visit...

Great place to say the least. Unexpectedly good I must say. Definitely worth visiting and enjoying.

Had a delicious lunch here. Food was good, the waitress gave us a big shout out because it was three minutes before noon and we couldn't order lunch because of that. SILLY!!!

One star is still too many. Unfriendly service and waited ages for the food. So the only hope was that the food was good. Unfortunately it was also a failure. This "shed" won't see me again.

It's almost difficult for me to find the right words for this restaurant visit: First of all, we were put in the last corner despite having made a reservation in advance. It was so narrow that you could smell exactly whether the people at the next table were showering or not. We were able to place our drink order quickly, but that was the only thing that went quickly. We then had to wait 40 minutes for our food order to be taken. We ordered 2 Pinsa. After another half hour had passed and our food wasn't in sight, we took a look at the corner where the pinsa is served. We could clearly see from our table that our two pinsa were ready outside the oven. But no one in sight who was even interested. For 15 minutes we could see our food lying there and no one came to finish it. Accordingly, the food was cold when we got it. Aside from the temperature, the pinsa was dripping with oil. Since the entire restaurant visit had already lasted 1.5 hours and we had reserved musical tickets, there was no time left for the planned dessert. When we wanted to pay, we spoke to a waitress, who assured us that someone would come soon. Someone came too, but only to ask if we wanted something more to drink… Next time we'll go to the restaurant next door again. Once and never again

Food was tasty, quantity was up to standard. Service was friendly and quick, attentive and helpful. The ambience enchanted me. A careful look around the dining room wasn't enough to spot the beautiful, carefully placed details. I would be happy to come back! Toilets very well maintained including pleasant soap, disinfection and toilet cleaner. The only point of criticism was that instead of schnitzel mushrooms I got the same price, our own Schnitzel del Sol. Since I'm not a customer who returns food and the price is the same, it wasn't a problem. Just a little more attention when ordering.
