Used to be a decent pizza restaurant. Unfortunately, the good pizza was replaced with a pinsa (a kind of small, thick bread with minimal toppings). Since then, there hasn't been anything good to eat there. Don't let the owner's response fool you; the pinsa is by no means as good as the old pizza. They've simply cut corners here.

We were invited to a breakfast buffet. The food was really delicious and there was a bit of everything. Everything was top-notch. What really annoyed us, however, was that we weren't served on time or regularly. Plates weren't cleared away at all; 20 plates were stacked up high for 2 hours. The people who ordered lemonade or coke, water, or whatever, got it after 10 or 15 minutes. The others waited 30 minutes for a coffee. No go!!! Then we ordered a second one and it was another 30 minutes. We had to share the Cokes. The agreement was, well, I ordered a Coke and two different waiters brought 2 Cokes, hmm. Okay, that happens. Another Coke ordered, another 2 waiters brought 2 Cokes, huh? 😃. But ultimately it was still worth a visit because the breakfast was really good. Personally, I still think that on a Saturday morning, the boss should think about it. Instead of having three, four, five waiters serving 200 people, maybe he shouldn't look out for himself and get people started. You definitely need ten, and they should be assigned to the tables. We had one waitress and one waiter who had to cover the entire restaurant, which in turn increased the waiting time. Maybe you should give that some thought. It wasn't the waiters' fault; they gave their all and were always cool.

We wanted to spend a pleasant day with you. Unfortunately, it took half an hour for an unmotivated young lady to come and take our drinks. After 45 minutes, we still had no drinks. Instead of preparing drinks, the lady at the bar emptied the dishwasher and stocked the glasses on the shelves. Several guests came to the bar and ordered and picked up their own drinks. After waiting and hoping, we decided to leave the shop, thirsty and with rumbling stomachs...

I'm giving one star only for the atmosphere. I had an upset stomach right after eating the dessert. The waffles felt like they were made five days ago. They weren't fresh at all. They were hard as rocks. The orders were brought out incorrectly, and we told the waiter it was wrong. He took it back and brought back more wrong dishes. We didn't bother sending it back, so we ended up eating things we didn't want.

I haven't been there in a long time! Because the last few times were disappointing! Unfortunately, this time it's no better, in fact, it's worse! But looking at the reviews, some people have the same experience. It starts with the lack of cutlery! We waited a long time until someone finally came to order food. Then you get glasses with some leftovers stuck to them! To top it all off, you get your food with half the sauce spilled, and then they tell you that if there's not enough, you get a new one! Did I only pay half!? Certainly not!!! It was definitely my last visit.

Nice restaurant in Siegen! As one of 32 restaurants in this chain across Germany, you can enjoy good food in an American-inspired, colonial-style atmosphere. A large, high-ceilinged room with plenty of seating, including outside on the veranda, invites you to linger. The food is delicious, and the service is prompt and very friendly. In times of high prices, it must be said that the value for money is really good. Keep it up!

This Café del Sol is in a quiet location. A variety of dishes are available: Pasta, schnitzel, pinsa, and salads. In addition to the breakfast menu during the week, there is a superb brunch on Sundays with a variety of hot and cold dishes. We found the ambiance quite pleasant. Friendly and attentive staff provide extremely satisfactory service. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again in the near future. Catastrophic, to put it mildly. The service was a disgrace, and it almost felt like a hidden camera. Starting with the long wait times to even order drinks, during which time three other tables that arrived after us had the pleasure of ordering before us. After moving inside, waiting another 30 minutes to order at the counter was actually worth leaving the restaurant. The three drinks arrived at different times and not together. Who can expect everyone to drink their drinks together? It was stupid of us to think that. After ordering our food, another 20 minutes passed, during which time we noticed that other guests were already eating, but they had arrived almost 40 minutes after us. Paying with the card reader was the icing on the cake. Twice we were told that the device was broken and that they would get a third one. After 10 minutes, this person came to the next table with a full tray to serve them. There was no sign of payment. When we asked when we could finally pay, she said the entire system needed to be rebooted. A reminder about this wouldn't have hurt. All in all, a visit to avoid. Zero system, and it wasn't even prime time. This was the last time I saw this place.

A "schnitzel vacation" at Café del Sol: a dirty table with a full ashtray as a welcome, plus wait times longer than any all-inclusive flight. Cold fries, a brown salad, and a schnitzel from a packet – a culinary dream... not. We were then asked to pay at the counter, where the staff laughingly explained that guests were rather disruptive. An experience – but definitely only once.

We've always enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, the wait times are getting longer and longer. The staff barely looks up to see if guests are making an appearance. The food arrived when several tables that arrived after us already had their food on their tables. Reordering bread took over 30 minutes, and by that time the food had already been eaten. The service should be more attentive and the kitchen faster. We're talking about a chain restaurant, not a "everything is freshly prepared" restaurant. However, this is more due to a staff shortage than to the attitude of the friendly and hard-working employees. Everyone was very friendly. We were even offered an espresso as compensation. Update 9/25: Everything was fine now. A small mistake with the order, but it was handled generously. Thanks for the great experience!

We were there today at a more "relaxed" lunchtime. There weren't many customers. Our total stay was 2.5 hours, 80% of which was spent waiting for staff. Additionally, the outrageously overpriced food was either incomplete, inedible, or faulty. Entire ingredients were missing. The reheated vegetable curry was swimming in a pool of oil. It was inedible and almost entirely returned. A real disgrace for the prices quoted. On top of that, you have to ask for the bill 2-3 times and still wait 40 minutes. So, apart from stomach cramps and an empty wallet, we didn't take anything away from there...

My experience at Cafe del Sol was unfortunately disappointing and chaotic. From the very beginning, we struggled with waiting times. After placing our order, it took a long time for the food to be served. When the food finally arrived, we discovered that it was already at the counter and hadn't been brought to our table. The food itself was only lukewarm, which only added to our disappointment. The server was unfriendly and didn't seem to care about our dissatisfaction. Only one other server was friendly and seemed to apologize for the situation. When the dessert arrived, the server simply wanted to place it on the table that hadn't been cleared yet, forcing us to hold it in our hands. This was not only unprofessional but also very inconvenient. It became even more confusing when we were told that our table reservation was only valid until 7:30 p.m., even though we didn't get our dessert until 7:15 p.m. However, we could move to another location, which we politely declined. The climax of the chaotic experience was when my friend asked to have her food packed and then found out 20 minutes later that it had already been thrown away. A new portion was then prepared for her, which was nice, but didn't make up for the previous mistakes. Overall, our visit was a totally chaotic and disorganized experience. The long wait times, lukewarm food, and unprofessional service left us very disappointed.

Four of us went to breakfast in Siegen. The service at our table was very friendly and open to criticism. After we pointed out to the supervisor (Anna) that the boiled egg had brown spots and the yolk was green, she ended the conversation with a very rude "That can happen," and while we were still talking, she walked away. There were large burnt pieces in the scrambled egg; even then, she just took the plate, gave a very rude response, and left again while we were still talking. At €20 per person, this was truly a very poor service and not recommended.

Catastrophe! They put things on the plate that aren't listed on the menu! For allergy sufferers, this is a catastrophe and life-threatening!!! To explain: We were there on a Sunday to enjoy waffles/cake and coffee. 1. It took a good 30 minutes for our order to be taken. 2. The table was sticky and was only wiped down again upon request. 3. We received our waffles with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, but we didn't order drinks like cappuccino and hot chocolate. 4. There was "muesli" under the ice cream. We asked what it was and were told only oats and wheat. We pointed out that he has a severe nut/almond allergy. 5. My husband wanted to eat the ice cream and noticed that the "muesli" contained nuts. We immediately complained to the staff, but they showed no understanding or consideration. We paid and left. Unfortunately, the situation escalated in the parking lot, and my husband had to react due to his allergy. Allergens must be clearly labeled!!! Even when we called the restaurant later, all we got was: Well, that's just how it is, I can't change it! Customer friendliness = 0 We are really angry and disappointed

This was our third time there, a spontaneous lunch with six people for coffee and cake. After the coffee and cold drinks arrived slowly after almost 40 minutes, we asked for sugar at the counter. The cake arrived after over an hour, even after repeated inquiries at the counter. (Unfortunately, the waitress didn't respond to our orders after taking our orders.) It wasn't really busy, but you had the feeling they weren't working as a team and were completely uncoordinated. On top of that, the terrace was very dirty; there were thick cobwebs between the plastic flowers alone, it's insane! I have to say, if you have experience in the restaurant industry, the overall impression and the entire process were appalling. It's actually a great place with a lot of potential, but the management isn't utilizing it. But as long as everyone keeps running there despite bad reviews, there's enough money coming in, so why change anything? It's a heartbreak for a restaurateur.

Restaurant with solid burger menus. Exceptional architecture. Country-style exterior, cathedral interior. Cool spot for dates or group gatherings. Fancy dining isn't really an option. Why isn't there iceberg lettuce at Pattie's? Arugula salad is everywhere. Fresh onions are also almost nonexistent. Only the Texas Burger comes with a few red onion rings. The fries are a size larger than those at the industry giant, but the taste is just as good. Solid fast food with a functional business concept.

We went there for dinner with the football team after the game. The reception wasn't very friendly, and I received strange looks when I mentioned the number of people. However, other employees were helpful and helped us set up the tables, which is pretty much to be expected. Ordering took a while, and the wait time was far too long, considering we're talking about burgers and fries. We waited up to 120 minutes for the food, which is definitely too long. The food is mediocre, but the service and wait time were disastrous. Only the help of the other employees somewhat improved the unfriendly behavior of the first employee. One thing must not be forgotten: the customer is king, and with over 30 people at lunchtime, that's a good return. I felt unwelcome, and there was no compensation for the extremely long wait. One person's order wasn't even taken, and only after a long wait and repeated inquiries was the order placed. That would have been the least one would have expected, but they charged the full amount. For me, therefore, it is rated as 1 star. Service

Unfortunately, it was a disaster from start to finish. The pinsa was already sold out on a Saturday afternoon, which was only communicated 15 minutes after ordering. Substitute dishes arrived much later than the first dishes in the entire order. A homemade iced tea had to be returned because it tasted like rotten fruit, but it was still charged. The summer salad was completely missing the advertised watermelon, and the feta cheese had to be searched for in the oil and tomatoes, even though it was the main ingredient. The waiter was completely overwhelmed, cutlery was missing and never brought, everything took a very long time, and then the bill was incorrect. Different prices in the system than on the menu. Finally, it should be mentioned that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Tables, chairs, and floor were dirty. Restrooms were also dirty, and there was no soap. Overall, a more than poor impression, which is a shame. We used to go there often and enjoyed it, but that's over for us for now.

We went to the cafe for breakfast today. It started with something going wrong with the reservation. Our server was friendly, but it took forever for the first drinks to arrive. The buffet (when it was restocked) was good for omnivores (according to my companion). The vegan options were very manageable. But hey, they have oat milk... that's a real plus. Still, there's still plenty of room for improvement. The fruit ran out for a long time and wasn't refilled for ages. Unfortunately, reordering drinks wasn't possible. We would have liked to stay a bit longer, but it was too annoying without drinks. When we wanted to pay, no one felt responsible. We waited a good 20 minutes, and even when we were standing at the front, it took another 10 minutes. As a layperson, I'd say there weren't enough staff on the counter. But there were four people behind the counter. That could be better.

We were there with six people on June 16th at 5:30 p.m. The reserved table was ready. The first problem: there were still leftovers from previous guests. When we asked for the table to be wiped, the waitress complied. However, the young man couldn't bend over far enough, so I wiped it myself. During the meal, the salad with the schnitzel felt like it had already been prepared at 8 a.m. It had been more beautifully presented on previous visits. When we asked about cutlery (there weren't enough left in the trays on the table), we were told, "Check the other tables." This made us lose our strength. The other trays outside hadn't been refilled for a while, so we had to serve ourselves at the waiter's table. We waited more than twenty minutes for dessert (a few scoops of ice cream). My wife wanted another Willi. The waitress's response was almost verbatim: "It's not available." Our objection that it was on the menu was met with, "It's out of stock." No alternative offer or... Here, the customer is anything but welcome. This was our last visit here.

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be actively hated without having done anything, just go to this restaurant. The waiter managed to treat me like an annoying nuisance who dares to order food in a restaurant within three minutes. A disgrace, I know. As soon as we walked in, we weren't greeted, but rather eyed as if we were about to steal something. The menu was practically hurled at our table as if we were in a scene from a mafia movie, just before someone gets shot. Charming! I politely asked for a vegetarian option – to which I received an annoyed eye roll and a mumbled "It says so." I was about to clap – not in enthusiasm, but in his face. The food? It was okay. It could have been a Michelin-starred meal, though – hard to enjoy when you feel like you've personally insulted the waiter's grandmother. Conclusion: If you like being ignored, snapped at, or ignored, this is the place for you. For everyone else: Save yourself the visit and your self-respect.

We were at Del Sol last Monday (a holiday) with our one-year-old daughter. Despite it being a holiday, it was surprisingly empty, which initially put us in a good mood. Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for our food – which is already difficult with a small child. When the food finally arrived, our daughter's pinsa was noticeably burnt – not just on the edges, but also on the bottom, making it inedible. I politely asked for a new pinsa, as my daughter couldn't eat it like that. However, the response was unsympathetic. They claimed, "It was only the edges that were burnt." Only after I showed them the bottom was the pinsa reluctantly taken away – without any apology. Instead of a solution, we had to wait another very long time, while our own food was already on the table and our daughter still had no food. After about 30 minutes, the same burnt pinsa suddenly appeared on our table again – without any comment. My husband was told that they couldn't make another pinsa due to time constraints, but at least they wouldn't charge for it. Overall, the visit was disappointing: ❌ Long wait times despite the restaurant being empty ❌ No understanding or apology from the staff ❌ No solution-oriented approach to a simple complaint I remembered Del Sol as being much better, but after this experience, we definitely won't be eating there again.

I've been to Café del Sol in Siegen several times now and always enjoy returning. The food is consistently delicious, freshly prepared, and lovingly presented – whether it's a burger, pasta, or breakfast, there's something for everyone here. I particularly like the beautiful, cozy atmosphere, which invites you to linger – whether inside with its modern yet warm interior or outside on the large terrace in good weather. The servers are always friendly and attentive, even when it's busy. My only minor criticism: Sometimes it takes quite a while for drinks to arrive or for anyone to even show up to take your order. Especially during peak times, you'll need to be patient. Nevertheless, if you want to enjoy a relaxed meal and feel comfortable, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back!

We had reserved a table for 12 people at 1 p.m. on Saturday! Despite the email confirmation the night before that the table was ready, other guests had to be moved, and the tables had to be cleaned and pushed together by us! Everyone around us who arrived later got their food! Only our order didn't arrive! After waiting for 2.5 hours and complaining several times, we finally got our food! The service was friendly, but we had the feeling that, despite the lack of business, they were overwhelmed due to a lack of staff! The restrooms were also dirty, and there was no toilet paper! This was probably our last time here! It's a shame, because it used to be very nice and clean, and it was one of our favorite places!

We wanted to eat here today with our family of seven. Our waiter was very friendly. Our drinks and appetizers were served promptly. Since we couldn't order everything we wanted because ingredients and entire dishes were missing even though they were listed on the menu, we had to skip a few things. After an hour, one of the seven people received their order. Half an hour later, when we asked for it, the remaining orders were brought one after the other. Some were incomplete, a cheeseburger with a single patty instead of a double patty was sent back with a request to fill it out. Burgers with sweet potato fries were ice cold, pasta with mushrooms was ice cold; all the dishes were simply cold. Everything was sent back; one of the waiters' comments that everything would now have to be thrown away were ignored. It is impertinent to shout this at us as an accusation; if the food had been okay, we would have happily eaten it and even paid the rather high prices. We also told our friendly waiter that good management and control of the processes could have prevented this disaster.

On top of that, a server was incredibly rude when we asked for our food back. The ingredients weren't fresh either. We enjoyed a lovely evening on the restaurant's terrace. The ambiance is truly beautiful. The parking situation is also excellent. Unfortunately, the Classic Burger was a huge disappointment. Any cheap burger at McDonald's or similar would be much better. It only came with two slices of tomato, but no lettuce. The burger also lacked a tasty sauce. It was honestly the worst burger I've ever eaten. My wife had a farmer's salad, which was very filling and delicious. The fries were also very good. I would like to emphasize the extremely hard-working and friendly service. That makes up for a lot :-)

We were at Café del Sol last week. My mother had fond memories of her last visit three years ago, which made the disappointment even greater. We had to wait quite a while for our order to be taken. The food arrived, but our drinks (a Coke and a coffee) never arrived. Our drinks literally "walked around" the restaurant while we waited. Almost everyone around us had already received their drinks, except us. We had almost finished our food when the drinks finally arrived: the ice in the Coke had completely melted, and the coffee was cold. We then asked for the drinks to be canceled. The waitress reacted very rudely, turned around with an annoyed "Pfff" and left. Very rude. I would like to mention another waitress who brought the food; she was very friendly and even apologized for the delay. When we later received the bill, the canceled coffee was still listed. We had originally planned to order some cake and end the afternoon in a relaxed manner, but after this experience, we just wanted to leave. Unfortunately, I hadn't read the many negative reviews beforehand. They seem to be justified, and the staff doesn't seem to care much about them. The food was okay, but certainly not worth the price for this service. This was definitely our last time.

It was one of my fave cafes until yesterday. The service always sucked as the waitresses attitude is almost always as if they are forced to work there. However the food was always good. I don’t know if they changed the cook or something but the burgers we got was disgusting. There were rotten tomatoes and vegetables in it. Everyones Meat was cooked until almost burnt, dry and just plain unpleasant. Now everyone who ate those burgers are laying in bed with fever and stomach sickness. Never again.

5 stars Absolutely nothing to complain about... I stopped by during a bus tour and was completely satisfied. I ordered: Cold milk with coconut Pinsa Chicken Caesar Provence bread with aioli Green tea Sonne Asien's Royal Served as ordered. While the ambiance is the same everywhere, the location in Siegen nevertheless made me want to linger. The food was simply perfect. We've been here often in the past and were really looking forward to visiting again for Mother's Day. But unfortunately it was a total failure. The food still tastes very good. I want to emphasize that at this point. But: 1. Even though the shop wasn't completely full, we had to wait 10 minutes for our table (reserved online). As we sit down, the waitress tells us that we have to clear the table by 2 p.m. These statements were repeated twice more. It doesn't work at all!!!!! 2. When we finally sat down it took about 15 minutes and several calls before someone came to take the drinks. A coffee was included in the order. The cold drinks came immediately. The coffee only came after asking 3 times, 40 minutes later!!! Doesn't work at all! 3. When we got up to help ourselves at the buffet, we found almost nothing but empty containers. It felt like it was only filled up when requested. Buffet, all you can eat, I'm laughing my head off! Rather all you can find!! We definitely won't come back. Today was the biggest disappointment I could ever experience on Mother's Day. Foreign shame for advanced students! Disaster!

A total disappointment!! First I was told that the pizza dough was already empty (7 p.m.). I then ordered a schnitzel. The schnitzel with turkey meat was simply disgusting! There was no chef working there! Pressed molded meat with lots of breading, absolutely tasteless. Plus a hint of lettuce, without dressing and already half dried out. A Caesar salad that could also serve as a children's portion. I was already disappointed last time, but today it was even worse! Never again to this restaurant.

I wanted to give the store another chance, but... THEY JUST CAN'T! The store makes a pretty shabby impression. Tables not really clean, chairs not clean, etc. It took 35 minutes from sitting down to ordering and even then only after we asked. After over 70 minutes there was still no food on the table! When the longed for food finally arrived, sauces were missing and the food was also cold! We didn't have any cutlery either. My sauce for the fries had been sitting for a while and a skin had formed. And the burger was beyond fried. A pinsa was simply forgotten to prepare. Staff is not capable and poorly coordinated. Luckily we didn't ask when paying if everything was OK.

It should be noted that you need a day of vacation to use the schnitzel vacation. It took an incredibly long time until we could order drinks and food, then it took over an hour for the food to arrive, and unfortunately we still had to wait for cutlery! There was very little on the plate, the fries were inedible and cold. The next round of schnitzel took so long that the old plates hadn't even been cleared away by then. I raised it to accept the new telker, unfortunately this was completely ignored by the waiter. All the glasses, bottles, plates, etc. were on the table until the end. There were six of us and we had 5 x schnitzel holidays. We waited a good 45 minutes for our food. The schnitzels were really bad today. Very cross and super thin. Too thin for me personally. The pulled beef was burnt on top and still cold on the bottom of the pan, and the whole thing was swimming in fat. Speaking of fat, the Meat Potato Bomb was also a dubious disappointment in terms of taste. There was no trace of meat, just an abundance of fat. The only edible thing were the chicken bites. The service, on the other hand, was good and tried to limit the damage, but couldn't improve the overall impression much. The interior and service are good, but we'll go somewhere else for food in the future.
