Everything was fine, only the food was a bit little and a bit too expensive.

We had pasta aglio, chilli cheese fries and two bugers. The pasta was like it came from a canteen. The fries were ok, But the burgers had a very hard patty and were generally very poor quality. The ambience and service were great, but I would advise against visiting because of the poor food and the poor price/performance ratio.

We were there for breakfast today. Breakfast was sufficient, but unfortunately the coffee was almost cold by the time we got it. And the fried egg we ordered was unfortunately cold

9 people for Sunday morning brunch. Nice location. 20.90 euros per person is fair for this brunch. It was always replenished quickly. Breakfast was good quality and varied. Lots of delicious types of bread. Lunch ok, but no real highlight. At best, good home cooking. Coffee should be included. Very friendly and quick service! Thank you for that! Unfortunately, drinks are completely overpriced, otherwise it would be 5 stars. Next time just breakfast, you'll get more money. Parking spaces are plentiful and free.

That doesn't work at all! Were there for my birthday. Were there at half past four and wanted to eat something for the two of us and then go to an event. The first order was also taken quickly and arrived after a few minutes. My husband chose the offer with the schnitzel vacation. I made a BBQ burger and asked the bacon to be fried until crispy. So good so not crispy. Well, it can happen. While my husband was getting to the end of his schnitzel, he ordered a repeat order, which is included in the price, as a precaution because of the possible waiting time. This wasn't brought until we left. At some point it was easy because no waitress seemed to be responsible for us going to the counter to pay. When they had time for us, I asked whether my special order had even been taken. (The order was a bit quick for me and the whole thing felt strange without typing extra) This was not stored in the device! I asked if that was normal (i.e. ignoring the special orders) and was only asked who I ordered from. When we pointed out the other waiter present, the waitress told us that she couldn't do anything. When we were told that we never received the re-order of the schnitzel, they said that it didn't cost anything so we shouldn't insist on it. There was probably a bit more going on in the kitchen because a group had ordered. When we were told that the order had already been placed 45 minutes ago, we were only told the amount we should pay. When I asked if there was anyone else to contact for complaints other than herself, she said that she didn't have a boss at the moment and that someone from Frankfurt always stopped by every now and then, but there was no contact there either. Very disappointed with the visit! I wanted something different for my birthday. If they continue like this, they won't need a new boss anymore.

We love it!!! An experience at any time of day! Sunday brunch is simply part of our everyday life! The food is great and so are the employees!

Was there for dinner with my family. So first things first. The food was really very tasty. There were two little things that weren't right. However, this was resolved by service without any problems. We really liked the atmosphere. If we hadn't had the children with us, we would have stayed longer. Price/performance is again a thing that is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I thought it was quite expensive. But at some fast food chains it is not cheaper or the quality is significantly worse. My conclusion is that we weren't there for the last time. Tip from us. Advance reservation is recommended

Now I don't know who should wear the shoe of unkindness. The staff or the boss? The staff is mostly just a small light doing their job, but overall you can tell that the shoe is stuck.

I was there with my girlfriend a few days ago and at first we weren't served at all. We had to wait quite a while until we finally went to the front and asked. And when our food came later, I was served a salad that had lots of rotten and wilted leaves. I had a new one brought to me, which I was charged for despite the schnitzel weeks!!! And because I had paid with a card, the payment device was presented to me and I was allowed to decide whether I wanted to tip 5%, 10% or 20%!!! I am of the opinion that there are places where I have to pay €25 for a schnitzel with fries and fresh salad and can eat much better.

The food is relatively expensive, but you only get a convenience schnitzel, which is also very dark, and cold sweet potato fries, sorry. It doesn't work at all. We will consider coming here again.

Das Café del Sol ist seit Jahren DIE FESTE GRÖßE in der Siegener Gastronomie. Oft, wenn ich in meine Geburtsstadt Siegen zurückkomme, gehe ich dorthin; zum Beispiel um alte Schulfreunde zu treffen. Das Essen ist immer lecker und die Bedienung sehr organisiert und freundlich. Beim vorletzten Besuch sind die Bediensteten Melissa und Alyssa besonders positiv aufgefallen. Melissa hat uns mit Kompetenz, Humor und Charme bedient. Sie hat ausgezeichnete Umgangsformen mit Gästen und man merkt, dass sie ihre Tätigkeit gerne macht. Zuletzt war ich mit 8 Leuten dort und Tamara K. hat uns vorbildlich bedient. Mit Freundlichkeit und Humor nahm sie alle Wünsche entgegen. Das Essen war, wie immer, lecker und alles kam auch haargenau so wie es bestellt war (jeder Dip und jeder Extrawunsch war berücksichtigt worden). Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

The Café del Sol has been THE FIRST SIZE in Siegen's gastronomy scene for years. Often when I return to my hometown of Siegen, I go there; for example to meet old school friends. The food is always delicious and the service is very organized and friendly. During the penultimate visit, the servants Melissa and Alyssa were particularly positive. Melissa served us with competence, humor and charm. She has excellent manners with guests and you can tell that she enjoys what she does. I was last there with 8 people and Tamara K. served us in an exemplary manner. She accepted all requests with kindness and humor. The food was, as always, delicious and everything came exactly as ordered (every dip and every extra request was taken into account). We would love to come back and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Were there for the first time, I would have ordered the Belgian waffles, the ice cream was good, the cream was good too, but unfortunately the waffle wasn't, I didn't get a sugar shock, that was all, unfortunately not good, I'm sorry. We were a larger group. Unfortunately, 3 people didn't get any food. When asked, the food was COLD! served with the comment that it was ready but forgot to serve! No apology or accommodation whatsoever. Since we didn't want to wait that long again, we left it at that. Good service definitely looks different. At least the warm meals were at least tasty. We often eat out as a group, but definitely never here again.

I rarely write reviews, but our visit today left me so upset! We were there for lunch. I had “loaded potatoes” for €9.70. A handful of fries came with a few ready-made falafel balls and a mini touch of sauce (extra sauce costs €1.20, by the way). Since the whole thing was so dry, I asked a waitress to please bring me more sauce. I only got this after I asked a second time (and specially got up and actively went to the waitress because no one came to us). By now my husband had finished eating and my fries were cold. I didn't receive an invoice on site and it was only at home, after I did the math, that I realized that I had actually been charged for the sauce! An absolute disgrace and completely exorbitant prices! The guest is definitely not king here. The two stars are only for the ambience and because my husband's pinsa was ok.

Were invited to a celebration at Cafe de Sol Siegen on November 1st. Very tasty and rich breakfast/brunch for all tastes. The location was nice, parking space in front of the door, we were allowed to bring the dog. The background noise was a bit loud, so a star deduction. Recommended 👍

The time out always brings me back here. I love the ambience. They are my colors and that's why I really enjoy being here. All dishes are recommended. Sometimes I eat a salad, sometimes it's the Schnitzel del Sol. The slightly spicy sauce is simply my favorite. But there are also burgers, bowls and lots of other things. Vegan and vegetarian options are also offered here with delicious options. A clear recommendation from me. Thank you very much 😊

If I could give 0 stars I would! With normal visitor numbers, we waited around 70 minutes for our food after the waitress assured us several times that the food would come immediately. After all the guests who came after us were served, it was finally our turn, and what can I say: it wasn't worth the wait and I would have rather gone home hungry than with a burger in my stomach. Never again!

The food was very tasty. Well, not quite as hot but still okay. The service was very friendly. All in all it was good. Will definitely come back.

To be honest, I don't know how to properly describe this place. The atmosphere is very inviting. We have known Café del Sol for around 13 years now. Initially it was a slightly different system restaurant with a certain charm, but now it's pretty bad in terms of the price-performance ratio, especially the quality. We've been watching this for a while now and have finally come to the conclusion that no more euros are really being invested here. They can't even get the fries right! Some of the hot things were warmed up again and served with old, almost charred ones. Half the Pinsa is so ridiculously large that it's not even enough to be placed in children's meals, as it actually comes to the table cold 👎👎👎👎👎👎! The burger... subterranean quality 👎👎👎👎👎! I feel sorry for the waitresses because they can't do anything about the instructions from above. But let's be honest... We all have to work hard for our money! It's better to take it to where you can still get quality.

Food is always equally delicious. At brunch it often takes a long time until something is refilled. Others can do that faster. Drink prices are too high. Especially water. Plus point, the dog is allowed in.

First detour to Café del Sol Wow, the ambience, the size and the cleanliness - you immediately feel like you're in the land of milk and honey! From the first “hello” I noticed that service was very important here. Tobi gave me a warm welcome and presto, I was at the table, even though the reservations were bubbling up. You could literally feel the good mood in every employee - the team here is really a dream! Especially with Marvin, my personal waiter, the feeling was like a warm croissant. The crew? Simply great! Okay, the waiting time was a little bit longer because the restaurant acts like a magnet for hungry people in the evenings. But hey, Marvin explained it to me with a charming smile and even apologized for it - you can't be mad! And now for the food: The beef burger was a real treat, perfectly grilled and easy to eat! The double espresso afterwards? A real treat! A huge thank you for the great service and delicious food! I can only recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit to Siegen! Greetings from Hilden

The food is very tasty, especially the burgers are heavenly :) Cocktails are tasty and well prepared. The atmosphere is very cozy and invites you to linger. The highlight is of course the bench swing in front of the entrance. Always busy on weekends, it's better to reserve a table in advance!

I always enjoy meeting up with a good friend here. The service is very friendly and we just feel comfortable. 😊

A nice restaurant but that's not all. We were there on a Wednesday and I don't think we'll come back again. I ate half a pinsa. However, I was extremely surprised when a 10cm piece of pizza arrived for €9.60 (!). Well, I would never have ordered that for the money and I consider it an extortion... My Virgin Capirinha only tasted like lime with mineral water and was also expensive at around €8... The only good thing was the lava cake, although that was... It didn't have a liquid core but was covered in caramel sauce. Very tasty but that didn't make up for the rest of the evening. We also had a birthday child with us and even when I asked if there was anything for someone on their birthday, there wasn't even a congratulation. Other waiters also brought drinks while gifts were being opened, nothing. I really don't know a single restaurant where you can't say congratulations and not get a drink on the house.

Went to Café del Sol again after a long time... The arrogant manner of the young man who served didn't make us feel very welcome. Ordering and waiting for the food took forever. The food was ok...a few ingredients that were actually on the menu were missing. There were no napkins and the men from the service were too busy with themselves to notice that several tables were waving for drinks or wanting to pay. That was nothing again...

I really liked it, but today I have to say I was disappointed. We ordered spareribs twice for just under 40 euros (bbq and teriyaki) and they just weren't good. Silverskin was still on and you had to gnaw it off the bone (it would have had to have been pre-cooked for much longer). And so that the meat tasted a bit, an excessive amount of sauce was put on it, unfortunately the BBQ ribs weren't even glazed. Maybe you shouldn't offer something like that if you can't get it perfect and instead add 2 schnitzels or something to the menu, or the delicious 1/2 meter pizzas again.

The food was definitely a slap in the face..2 mini wedges with I would say hard breading as if it had been shoved into the deep fryer again..unfortunately some of the fries were also inedible because they were cooked to death twice in the deep fryer.. totally soggy.. the iced tea was ok..the sauces were not digestible for someone who cannot tolerate glutamate.. we were very, very disappointed after a previous good experience..unfortunately that was nothing..service was ok.

We were disappointed, we wanted to have a nice evening. There wasn't much going on in the cafe del sol, the service was very good, but we had to wait a long time until a young lady came. I ordered a pork schnitzel and my friend ordered a burger. The schnitzel was carelessly prepared, 2 pieces were bone dry and fried way too dark. You would have needed a circular saw to cut it. The burger was absolutely tasteless, you have to manage that first. Even the drinks ginger ale and gin tonic are beautifully presented in the picture but in reality they are completely loveless. Everything is saved here because the prices are not justified. The service doesn't even ask if it tasted good, but why? We won't come any more and would rather go 100 meters further to the Timberjack.

We ordered brunch. Far too expensive for what was on offer. There is not enough selection to make the almost 20 euros p.p. Worth it without drinks.

Briefly about the course of our visit. We came in and were allowed to choose a table. Unfortunately, due to low occupancy, the rear area was closed. As soon as we sat down, the service arrived, which was very good at this point, but we weren't that quick yet. We asked for a moment to have drinks. What can I say, by a short moment I mean maybe 5 minutes and not 15-20 minutes. Somehow we were simply forgotten, even though the waiter was always at the neighboring tables. So the start wasn't entirely successful, but we were looking forward to the food. We ordered both a starter and a main course. The half pinsa starter was okay, the other starter was so hot that it burned your tongue. It's good that the food comes hot, but a quick note at this point would have been very kind. There was also baguette, three tiny slices, of course also frozen and in terms of taste it was the same as a frozen baguette from the supermarket, see Rewe. For the main course we ordered a burger and currywurst. And what can you say? The food is more than expandable. Even other system caterers do it worlds better in terms of taste. When it came to the burger, you could just tell that it was a frozen patty, the taste was 0. There was also far too little sauce on the burger. Gouda, which was hard again, instead of cheddar, if you at least used a sensible, spicy cheese, that would be ok. A normal cucumber on the burger? If so, please have a pickle... Unfortunately, the currywurst wasn't worth the money either. Ready-made curry ketchup with what is probably a thin bockwurst, instead of normal bratwurst. Plus thin frozen fries that didn't taste like anything. Every chip shop does this better. Overall, unfortunately very disappointing. For the prices quoted here, I would have expected much more. System catering also works differently.

We received very poor service from the M.D. Very rude. We had a question for her but she had long private conversations with the people at the next table and ignored us. Served us with a smile right from the start.

Unfortunately I have to say that the food was rather poor quality. We ordered a chicken burger and a pinsa. Both arrived cold, dry and very bland. A burger with fries without salad for €14 of this quality? That's pretty bold! The pinsa was just dry, hard and the flavor just wasn't there. Sorry but that was really bad! And offering something like that for that price is a bit cheeky. It's a shame because the atmosphere and the staff are really good. We won't eat here again.

We were here again with friends and enjoyed the evening. Food was very good - value for money was right!

To be honest, I was hoping for a little more. The food was okay but not great. But the atmosphere is super nice.

€19.50 for the brunch buffet excluding drinks, that's quite a number! Given the price I would have expected much more. Because everything is so spread out, you get the impression that the selection is large, but that's not the case. The price is completely exorbitant and the quality of the food is absolutely not worth the price. The ambience is quite nice, but it is very loud and the noise is like that of a train station. The service staff was attentive and friendly and was actually the best part of this visit.

It's easy to sit outside here, but the music and acoustics inside make entertaining a bit difficult. The food is good, even if it's just system catering. Service is always friendly. Update: Unfortunately, recently it has been happening again and again that you have to wait a long time for your food and that it is only lukewarm or even cold.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Café del Sol in Siegen and I absolutely loved it! The restaurant impresses not only with its cozy and inviting atmosphere, but also with an excellent menu that has something to offer for every taste. The Chili Cheese Burger and the Schnitzel Café del Sol are particularly recommended. The chili cheese burger was perfectly prepared, juicy and with a pleasant spiciness that was perfectly rounded off by the melted cheese. The schnitzel was also a delight – tender, crispy and served with a delicious sauce. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The staff at Café del Sol are friendly and attentive, which makes the stay even more pleasant. Despite the high number of visitors, especially at peak times, the team always remains professional and strives to offer guests great service. It may happen that you have to wait a little, but it's definitely worth it - the taste experience is worth it! Parking is available, but limited depending on the time, so it's advisable to come a little earlier or look for alternatives in the area. Overall, I had a wonderful evening at Café del Sol and can only warmly recommend this restaurant. If you are in Siegen, you should definitely stop by here and let yourself be impressed by the quality of the food and the great atmosphere!

Today I reserved a table for 2 people... when we got there we were assigned to our table... after 30 minutes when we ordered we were informed that no orders for food would be accepted for a minimum of 60 minutes... concept completely wrong... luckily there is others too Locations in Siegen...grade 6 minus..

Fangen wir erst einmal mit dem Guten an. Das Essen war soweit in Ordnung, aber in der Vergangenheit besser. Da bleiben wir auch direkt beim Thema Vergangenheit, früher waren die Portionen etwas größer und günstiger. Es ist in Ordnung, dass der Preis steigt, aber die Portionen sind deutlich kleiner geworden. Ebenso wurde im Außenbereich gesagt, dass ein Heizstrahler, erst ab einem gewissen Umsatz angemacht werden kann. Insgesamt merkt man den Kostendruck und damit auch ein schlechteres Erlebnis, mit einer schlechteren Qualität und aktuell deutlich kleineren Portionen. Bei Erwähnung das ca. 15-20 Pommes etwas wenig sind, wird auch erstmal nur darüber gelacht. Also wir kommen erst einmal nicht wieder….

Unfortunately, despite the excessively long wait of an hour and a half after ordering, the food (burgers, spare ribs and schnitzel, we were there with eight people in total) was extremely bad - cold or only lukewarm, the schnitzels were too well done, the burgers were cold and mediocre at best Taste. Three dishes went straight back to the kitchen, we didn't want any more, which spoiled the fun of the visit. The waitress tried to compensate, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be reversed. Drinks good, nice iced tea in several variations. As in all Café del Sol, the atmosphere is very loud (waiting hall character). Which dishes can we recommend? None, at most a different restaurant (sorry, dear Café del Sol team, but service is different and can (and must!) be better).

After a very long wait, the food arrived cold at our table. The shift manager responded to our complaint with annoyance (but our actual waitress apologized for the problem with the food - she was also very nice). The food was then remade, but that took forever. The Pinsa was advertised as fluffy on the menu. But it was very hard and not fluffy at all. Only the in-house iced teas were good. We sat outside. The outdoor area was in dire need of renovation. But inside, even though it was quite dark, it looked good. In the end we weren't charged for the two cold meals, but we won't be coming back.

Today we drove 5 people and a child to Cafe del Sol for dinner. Before ordering, we were warned that the kitchen would take 45 minutes - 1 hour. We agreed. However, in the end it took 1 hour 40 minutes and that's a really long time. It's not about the waiters at all, it's about the management having to change something. The store wasn't even full today. And the problem has happened three times now at this Cafe del sol. We won't be going there again for a long time.

Table reservation at 7 p.m., food at the table at 9 p.m. three out of eight meals were cold. Helpless, friendly service who tried to iron out the kitchen's mistakes. Other staff behind the counter who laughed at the complaints. Conclusion: Completely overwhelmed staff without error management.

The new dishes are tasty, but overall the food was lukewarm to cold. It could have tasted much better and that's a shame. The first waitress (M.P.) was extremely unsympathetic and annoyed, didn't bring any menus and outraged my companion with his behavior.

Hello, we went for brunch on Sunday with 7 adults and a child aged 6. When we looked through the bill at home, we noticed that we had been charged 8 times the price for adults and 1 time the reduced price for children, €19.80 too much.

I have to complain today! I had dinner there today with my partner and two friends. Of course it's normal that it's busy when the weather is nice, but you should tell a guest that the waiting time for food takes 1 1/2 hours. Furthermore, the bacon on all three BBQ burgers was raw and we had to remove it from the burger. I had a Schnitzel Champions and a salad which was very dry. After eating I felt sick and had stomach cramps. In summary, the ambience is nice, the service is still very polite considering the number of people, but the cuisine definitely needs improvement. A positive thing to mention is that the price of the first round of drinks was waived because of the raw bacon.

All in all very good. Because of the prices we wouldn't come here too often now.

A great place to stay, both with family and friends. We love the breakfast buffet on Saturdays. There is a great selection where everyone can find something. But the warm food at lunchtime/evening is also great. There is also a nice selection of drinks, both standard and new creations. The only thing that bothers me is that you can only reserve your place for 2 hours. But otherwise everything about this restaurant is just right. I like going there

Very nice there, but I was disappointed with the food. The schnitzel with the hollondaise sambal oelek was really a disappointment. The schnitzels were pressed ready-made schnitzels and the sauce was not worth it. For the price I expected a piece of meat and not shaped meat.

We had breakfast in the café with 3 people and paid €36. The price-performance ratio was okay. What I have to complain about is that out of 5 rolls there were 3 mini portions of butter. I then ordered 3 mini butters, these were charged at €3.40, which I see as extortion. So I only give one star and we'll have breakfast somewhere else in the future

In den vergangenen Jahren war ich immer wieder einmal hier. Diesmal bin ich von den Speisen durchweg maximal enttäuscht. Mrine Freundin hatte Schnitzel Del Dol, das dunkelbraun serviert wurde. Der Chilimayo fehlte jede Schärfe. Das Beste waren die Pommes. Das kennen wir rigentlich anders.Meine bestellten Minikartoffeln auf Rucola mit Cherrytomaten, Sourcream und Hähnchenstreifen waren fast nicht essbar: Die schon beim Servieren nur mäßig warmen ( innen fast kalten) Kartoffeln schwammen in Öl, die wenigen Rucolablätter waren matschig, die 3 halben Cherrytomaten völlig übergart. Die " gegrillten Hühnchenstreifen" waren labberig und gummiartig- offensichtlich Formfleisch. Die " Sourcream" entpuppte sich als fettig- schleimig Masse mit undefinierbarem Geschmack. Das Beste war der Ceylontee. Wie bisher immer erlebt war der Service sehr gut - deshalb gab es auch ein Trinkgeld, die Servicekraft ist ja nicht an der miesen Qualität des Essens schuld. Ich habe meine Beschwerde bei ihm ausgesprochen. Er hat dich entschuldigt und meinte, dass es in der " seit einiger Zeit eher schlecht läuft". Fazit: gpr mich wird es erst einmal keinen Besuch om Del Sol geben. Ist inzwischen nur noch was für Leute, denen mässiges fastfoodessen in netter Atmosphäre reicht.

Great food, nice service and a beautiful restaurant. The only defect is the inferior cutlery. The service was particularly good, Chris needs a raise in my opinion, he gives good tips (he has experience with food).

Delicious, but not every dish is a hit (such as the ribs or the pintas). I can highly recommend the classics, e.g. the Schnitzel del Sol or the burgers. Unfortunately, the quantity becomes smaller and smaller over the years and the price becomes more expensive. I have been visiting this restaurant for years, including today. For the first time, I unfortunately have to say that I am completely disappointed with the food. The completely saltless, only lukewarm mini potatoes were swimming in oil, and the rocket salad was correspondingly soggy. The "sour cream" was not recognizable as such, it was just a greasy mass with an undefined taste. The “grilled chicken strips” are obviously made from molded meat and are correspondingly soft in consistency. Conclusion: This is not recommended. However, the service was friendly and attentive as usual.

The decoration is very nice, atmospheric, located in a cozy place, the cafe is clean. The order waited about 20 minutes, my dish (schnitzel with sweet potato) was very tasty, but the hamburger could be tastier in my opinion, the patty is not very juicy and the bun is dry, the drinks are also delicious.

Drinks came a little late, which of course also has to do with the number of guests. The food was solid, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was fine. The price-performance ratio is also right.

Went to the Cafe del Sol in Siegen today (Monday 3:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.). The service staff is super friendly and attentive. The drinks came very quickly. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. The ambience is very nice. BUT Due to the open design (train station hall flair), the volume is very high. Due to the reverberation in the building, the volume of the audience's conversation became louder and louder. I would recommend that service staff wear ear plugs with a dampener during peak times and generally to avoid hearing damage. (These are also very helpful for sensitive people like me) I recommend that management carry out a volume measurement. This means that acoustic panels or something similar could be used to avoid reverberation and thus reduce the volume. (Through my work I have gained an insight into acoustic measurements and can only recommend looking into it) We won't visit the place at peak times, it's just too loud.

Food was good though. Service was friendly but could have been a little more attentive (it wasn't busy) All in all, it's a nice location that we like to go to, especially when it's not that crowded
