Table reserved for 8 people, in the end there were 9 of us. Great ambience, rustic/modern in an old locomotive hall. The service left a lot to be desired, two people at the table only received their food after asking, and a colleague's side dishes came when he had already finished his steak. All in all it was chaotic - a service staff also stopped by as usual, perhaps there wasn't even a request for drinks - we then ordered more at the counter when we went to the toilet. All in all the food was "good" but our colleague's pasta was lukewarm, which took forever Food had to wait - was actually still in good spirits. All in all not recommended!

I've been to Purino twice now, once in Dortmund and today in Freiburg and what can I say, it's just awesome 🤩 keep it up 👍

review I had dinner with my colleagues today and unfortunately I have to say that the experience was disappointing. Organizationally, there was chaos: the main course was only lukewarm, the side dishes arrived far too late, and food was mixed up. To make matters worse, two dishes were completely forgotten. The service left a lot to be desired. It's a shame because we were looking forward to a pleasant evening, but the many mistakes significantly spoiled the overall impression. I hope these points are improved in the future as the potential for a better impression is certainly there. Suggestion for improvement: Perhaps a clearer organization and a better coordinated service would be helpful to avoid such situations in the future.

System catering. And none of the good ones... you can taste it everywhere and it's easy to recognize visually. The operator can't do anything about the quite impressive location, it already existed before. The service was quick, but there was absolutely unprofessional behavior when asking for tips. No recommendation.

Very tasty Italian food in a great ambience in an old locomotive hall. Very stylish. Also very suitable for families. Children up to 6 years of age even pay nothing for children's plates. Wow. Very good selection at normal prices. Therefore highly recommended. I'd love to come back. It's now my new regular restaurant.

Toooooo slow! One star for kids get free food, one star for the hard working lady, who had to do everything by her own. But still, in a not busy lunch time, took us 1 hour to have the food we ordered, and then the pizza was cold! We live in the neighborhood, like to come here once a while but I don’t think we will come back. If you are short staffed, manage it and let your customers know.

Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for our pizza, only to find that it was already cold. After we pointed this out to the waitress, she took the pizza back and put it back in the oven. Shortly afterwards it came back warm, but slightly delayed - the waitress explained to us apologetically that she wasn't particularly experienced with the pizza peel. Personally, that didn't bother me so much; rather, I wondered why she was responsible for it in the first place. The waitress seemed to be trying hard and seemed to have to handle everything alone, even though other employees were at least present. She deserves recognition for this, just as children up to the age of 6 are allowed to eat and drink for free. Nevertheless, the overall experience was disappointing: 1.5 hours of waiting time for a cold pizza - that doesn't necessarily correspond to my expectations of a visit to a restaurant. Two stars, especially for the dedicated service and the family-friendly arrangement.

Quite a nice restaurant with a factory flair. So does the temperature inside, which feels like it's almost 30 degrees. However, prices are too high for the quality of the food. The food isn't bad but it could be better. Of course it's a matter of taste. Unfortunately the service is worse.... The staff is overwhelmed by a larger group (13 people). It takes an extremely long time for the drinks and food to arrive. Food was also forgotten and prepared incorrectly (wrong pasta). We had to be a little patient when ordering further drinks, as the waitresses no longer paid us the same attention as they had at the beginning and during the meal. Conclusion: Recommended for a nice evening with friends if you just want something to drink. I wouldn't eat there again

The staff was friendly, even if we were irritatingly called by them the first time. The drinks and food came quickly. There were a variety of oils to eat with (garlic, spicy, normal). Unfortunately, I'm not at all convinced by the pizza. This was because the dough was very dry - you could work on hydration again here. The tomato sauce was very bland, not at all fruity and sweet. The cheese was slightly burnt, I also doubt that it was "fior di latte mozzarella" as described on the menu. But I would like to be convinced of the opposite. Last but not least, I really don't understand why you would put Grana Padano on a pizza. Why not just stick with the classic Parmigiano? Don't you want to make at least a good pizza? All of this in relation to the horrendous price of just under €16 does not meet my expectations and means that I will not be coming back any time soon and cannot recommend it to others. When it comes to the ambience, I can say that the location is something unusual and definitely has its charm. However, the windows are extremely thin, which is why it gets very cold.

We were there for the second time and were completely thrilled. We didn't have to wait long for our food and it tasted excellent. We would particularly like to highlight the service and here “our” waitress Louis (hopefully spelled correctly 😉). His friendliness and also his warmth were 10 points on a scale of 10 for us. But we can also praise the colleagues who also brought us something. We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. We will definitely come back.

First the positive: Really nice atmosphere in a former warehouse with pleasant background noise and great decoration as well as a nice staff. There is also a large selection of vegetarian dishes, which are also marked accordingly on the menu. Great automatic reservation system via phone. But: Long preparation times of over an hour. The whole thing didn't really appeal to me in terms of taste. Only the starter (TUFFO DI AGLIO) was very tasty. Overall, worth an experience, but nothing more.

We made reservations for 5. We were seated at a table for and with 4. Despite a direct complaint, they said they have another table, but it is almost smaller except that it has an additional table leg in the middle, which is the same. So then sat at a table of 4 for 5. Food was very good except that one of us wasn't full. Ordered an additional children's pizza. No chance. We didn't get any. We originally wanted to have a dessert but due to the circumstances we immediately left the place and went to Mauritius and enjoyed the dessert there and celebrated the birthday to the end. We'll never go to Purino again.

The food is a bit expensive but the service was super nice and quick. Overall, the concept works and the homemade pasta is very tasty. The starter was unfortunately a bit carelessly prepared but all in all it was very nice!

It looks very nice, from the inside and from the outside. However, the food there (steak, cappacio,...) wasn't good. It smelled and had a lot of grease on it. On the other hand, and this is the MOST IMPORTANT thing: I saw a rat running past me there 3 times, anyone who goes out to eat there and pays attention in the evening, there really is a rat running back and forth... I think it's really bad in terms of hygiene, I would advise against eating there . It's overpriced, it depends on the selection, but rats are a no go!

I recently visited Purino in Freiburg as a restaurant and hotel reviewer and had a mixed experience overall. The ambience of the restaurant is appealing and the furnishings are modern and cozy. The selection of dishes on the menu is diverse, and there are many options for vegetarians and vegans. The food I ordered was OK, but not great. The pizza was tasty, but the dough could have been a little crispier. The pasta was good, but a little more seasoning wouldn't have hurt. The service was friendly, but we had to wait a little longer than expected for our food. Overall, Purino is a solid restaurant with upward potential. It's definitely suitable for a relaxing evening with friends or family, although there is still room for improvement.

Service was miserable! We were birthday guests... the birthday child had reserved early - at a specific time. After arriving we had to wait another 25 minutes in the entrance area until our table was set up and we could sit down. The food was delicious, but I was plagued by severe stomach pains afterwards.

Wow. What kind of place? What great self-created dishes? Incredible and very very tasty. When you enter the Purino in Freiburg, you know that a professional was at work here, the way the furnishings interact with different materials is incredible! CONCRETE, WOOD, STEEL, GLASS etc. Everything is so different, but fits together so well, there is something new to admire in every corner. Great achievement! Now to the food, we were there with 7 people and ate at any time of the day, the breakfast was very plentiful, I was already full from one portion of scrambled eggs, there is something for every taste, from hearty to sweet. The bread, a dream. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. A breakfast bowl also filled my hungry husband. When we were there again in the evening, we ordered pizza, pasta and steak. The pizza was crispy and the variations were very well coordinated. The pasta can be put together, any type of pasta can be combined with any sauce, the others are made fresh every day in Purino and taste really good. There is also gluten-free pasta, which I personally was very pleased with. The steak was a feast for the palate, it was so tender and to the point that a toothless person could eat it. At Purino, even children up to 6 eat for free and dogs are also allowed. The only negative thing I could complain about is that we had to drive about 400km to enjoy it, but every km was definitely worth it. We'll be back.

Our group found the pasta dishes and pizzas to be below average in terms of taste, although the prices were rather in the upper segment. So overall OK, but not our first choice for the future.

Very cool location in an old warehouse/locomotive/freight hall (on a former freight yard site). Service was very friendly and quick, food came quickly and was very good. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

The taste of the food was subterranean. We waited forever for our food and none of the dishes tasted good. I know the Purino from Karlsruhe and am a big fan of it. In Freiburg the price-performance ratio wasn't OK for us that evening. It's a shame, I was so happy. 1 star for the friendly service.

Friends of careful food intake, what follows is a review of a catering establishment in three acts. Act I starter The starter arrived quickly, despite the fact that my travel group consisted of 7 boys and everyone was quite hungry (to be fair, it must be mentioned at this point that on average we are more like a moderately large celery stalk). But wait - I digress. We were served one starter too many (roasted wheat dough slices with anti-vampire spread). What a relief this was. As W.A. said Mozart? "It's better to have one starter too many than too few." The food before the main course tasted extremely delicious and it felt very warm in the stomach area. I felt very comfortable. The salad tasted very, very good. I don't actually eat salad, but I ate this - remarkably, without my wife having to force me to do so, despite considerable resistance. Act II main course Unfortunately, the food that we mainly came for couldn't quite keep up with the food that we didn't really come for. The "pizza", as the Italians like to say, was in my opinion - and also that of my travel buddy Mr. M. (who you may know from other reviews of yours truly) - rather average. On a scale of 1 (disgusting) and 10 ( stable) I would give it a 6.83. Act III Dessert I ordered a frozen strawberry milk cream product called strawberry ice cream. But it tasted more like strawberry than ice cream. But since I expected this, it was fine. (Huh?) Miscellaneous The service was nice. Not noticeably nice, but nice. The beautiful location is remarkable. Have you noticed? You have encountered a pun. Because this restaurant (hehe again) is in an old locomotive hall. These were very nicely prepared. As a German, I would say "you can do it like that". To avoid any possible concerns: No, there will be no work on the locomotives while you eat there. The quiet little places (where I really created a good atmosphere with my popo flute) are also very nice. You can relax and create new space in the rectum. Finally I can say: Thank you for reading my review. Find a hobby after reading this rubbish and just go to the restaurant yourself if you want to eat something.

The waiting time for food and drinks is underground. We came as a group and there wasn't much going on. The last table received its food 50 minutes after the first table. We made special reservations so that we knew a group was coming. Another classic concept. The main thing is that it's furnished in a cool way, but I have no idea about gastronomy.

As a guest of the Purino in Freiburg, I unfortunately have to give a negative review. Although the food is certainly tasty, a visit to the restaurant can sometimes be extremely unsatisfactory. It is not uncommon for the staff to approach guests in a snooty and dismissive manner. Instead of friendly and courteous service, you sometimes have to literally fight your way through here in order to be noticed and served adequately. In addition, it is unfortunately often the case that the dishes I want are no longer available - sometimes even well before the store closes. Overall, I can't fully recommend Purino despite the tasty dishes. I appeal to those responsible to thoroughly review service behavior and make it more customer-friendly.

We had made a reservation for 10 people, and when we arrived we were shown to the place without having to wait long. The staff was super friendly at all times. The ambience is simply great. You should plan on waiting a certain amount of time until you get the main course, the starters were delivered very quickly. The food was very tasty and the prices are absolutely right. My dinner experience at Purino was pure poetry. The almost life-changing experience began with a perfect, almost inspiring waiting experience with Daniel. Stay away from this company as an employer. The poor service is mainly due to the frequent change of staff, who are not "employees" by the way, and to the people with so-called management tasks who have no experience in this regard. This is all about quick sales. Pay is low and whether you get the promised tips depends. If you want to save yourself trouble, etc., you will also find better employers in the catering industry.

Only after the second visit did I know that purino is not a restaurant with a unique selling point. There is Purino in Mannheim and Karlsruhe. But nonetheless, you can have a very good meal at Purino Freiburg. I only had a salad on the first visit. It was simply delicious. Mega delicious orange ginger dressing. Today I had delicious pasta with shrimps. The pizzas are also great. And if you like dolce, you have to have the dessert menu brought to you. The ambience in the industrial locomotive shed may not be the right ambience for some. But anyone like me who likes unusual interior design will certainly be just as enthusiastic. So just go there and enjoy the delicious food. 😋😋😋

You can't rely on clock times here. We arrived at 9:15 p.m. and wanted to have dinner. In a brisk tone, the staff informed us that the kitchen was already closing time.

I highly recommend it, a menu full of varieties, delicious, the cozy atmosphere and wonderful service. I loved the surprise my husband gave me, we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary in style!

Wow....the building, outside and especially inside is awesome :-) I would say the Purino is one of the most beautiful locations in Freiburg. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is super friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

We had dinner on a Monday evening. We waited almost an hour for our food. The location is really huge and very nice but there wasn't much going on. The pizza sauce could use a little more spice but the mango/avocado tartar was very tasty (even if the cashew nuts would probably be even better toasted 😊) Despite there being little going on, the service was a bit overwhelmed and I think the price at €25 per person is a bit too high for what you get.

Bad service, it took almost half an hour for the card to arrive at the table. In addition, the food only came partially from the kitchen and was very late (the restaurant was only moderately busy) The food itself was quite good, but nothing special and woefully overpriced for the price. Only the ambience convinced me, although our table was unfortunately full of cigarette butts from previous guests and the wood splinters easily, which was a bit uncomfortable for my arms. I have little understanding for all the good reviews. There is definitely more than enough room for improvement. Unfortunately I wouldn't eat there again, so only two stars ☆☆

Thanks to the high hall, it's not too loud even when the restaurant is full. The waitresses could have listened a little better: once a Radler was brought to the table instead of a Pilsner and the Radler was completely forgotten when ordering. There's no easier way to make money than with drinks...
