Although the restaurant wasn't at all full, there was a very(!) long wait. Many, or actually all, of the empty tables were dirty and seemed uncleaned in ages. The food, however, was good. Overall, though, I wouldn't recommend it; it just doesn't feel right.

You wouldn't believe that a restaurant in a furniture store can coexist outside of furniture sales. The food is good and well-priced. Mr. Gümbel, who runs the restaurant, and his team create a warm atmosphere that perfectly captures the feel-good factor. Despite the relatively small team, waiting times are kept as short as possible, which is quite an achievement considering how busy it sometimes is.

I come here for breakfast, lunch, or coffee! Breakfast under €5, lunch under €10, and for coffee, I can recommend the tiramisu with coffee for under €5! All three servers are very friendly! There are also days when the restaurant is so busy that you have to expect a wait! Many thanks to the whole team, keep up the good work!🥰

The restaurant at Mömax really surprised me! The selection is diverse, the food is freshly prepared, and tastes absolutely delicious – whether it's breakfast, lunch, or just a slice of cake between meals. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect here. The portions are generous, and everything is served in a modern, cozy atmosphere. The friendly and attentive staff is also particularly noteworthy – you feel truly welcome. If you think a furniture store restaurant is just an accessory, you're definitely wrong – I also like to drop in just for a meal.

I've read some of the negative reviews – and honestly, I can't relate to them at all. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes. But honestly: We live in a time where many people seem to have forgotten how to be patient. Everything should ideally be done immediately – without consideration for others or the people who work there. I've been to the Mömax Freiburg restaurant several times now, and each time I've been greeted warmly, served well, and eaten truly delicious food. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or coffee & cake – it's always fresh, hot, and made with love. The portions are generous, the prices are absolutely fair, and the ambiance is bright, modern, and pleasant. The team does a great job – even when it's busy. You should just take a moment, breathe, and appreciate the service. My conclusion: A really good restaurant with a lot of potential – I'd definitely be happy to come back. And maybe some guests just need a little more appreciation in their hearts ❤️

We were lured with offers that haven't been available for 22 days, but they advertised them throughout the furniture store. They pointed this out, and there was no response. I think that's completely unacceptable. The price-performance ratio isn't right either. Not really recommended.

The food is extremely affordable. It attracts a lot of people, so it might take a few minutes longer. All in one, top service to everyone.

If you want to go there, you'll have to be patient. We waited an hour and a half for cold food.

Endless waiting. You're not even registered. Poorly staffed. Never again!

We visited the restaurant on January 4th, 2025. All of the tables had dirt and traces of grease on them. Overall, it was very unhygienic. Behind the counter, in the middle of the counter, there was a sandwich with a bite taken out of it, probably from the employee who was unable to understand us due to her lack of German. On top of that, we waited at the table for 15 minutes while the only waiter was unable to serve us and instead sneaked around on his cell phone and repeatedly walked past us! We'd had enough and left the place. If the health department had been there, the place would be closed by now! Simply outrageous. Others can do it much more stylishly.

I had an appointment there with a friend yesterday and sat outside for at least 10 minutes without a waiter coming. There wasn't much to do, dirty dishes were still on several tables but no one came. Then I went in and ordered two iced coffees, which were brought out at some point. Small glasses of cream that was flaky and a scoop of ice cream (there were two scoops on the menu) then spoke to the waiter, he then said it was pretty mushy and there were two scoops in it. Then we paid 5.90 euros each for the two mini iced coffees of poor quality, absolutely cheeky!!! We used to go there often for breakfast, but it got so bad that it was the last time we went there. Really a shame!!! P.S. The toilets were also disgusting and dirty, two of the three were broken?! The third was totally dirty. Unbelievable!!!

It would be nice if the cooling system didn't blow cold air so hard on your head, especially on already cool days. The furnishings are a bit careless. Just easy-care plastic. At times there is a strong smell of long-stagnant faecal water coming from the sewage pipes in the toilets. The door to the disabled toilet is not easy to open from a wheelchair + should probably be sanded down a bit. But the staff is very nice, most of the food is okay. I think the prices are a bit high.

No offers declared as vegan at all. That's disappointing. At least there are fries and the side salad can also be veganized upon request. However, the entrance, path & dining area is barrier-free & the service was super friendly & accommodating! Big praise! Now add a vegan plate (fries with vegetables & tofu) to the menu & it gets one more star.

A total disaster. We weren't served today. The waiter cleared the tables and didn't respond even after we asked several times if we could order. He has to clear tables first, he said. After 30 minutes we left. That's not normal😴

We were satisfied so far. The staff is friendly and always tried hard. You can have breakfast well, just not on Saturday as it is full.

Unfortunately. Unfortunately, I have to say I have the feeling that the restaurant's staff needs to be properly trained for four weeks. I recommend using better coffee types so that it is not colored water. I could write a lot now, the employees get everything, but you have to start at the executive level. I loved the food they serve in the restaurant there.

The breakfast is definitely worth the money It must be considered that one packet of butter is not enough for 2 rolls. So you are forced to buy again. I don't like that.

Essen schmeckt gut und sind gute Portionen

Sehr gut abgeschmecktes Essen, auch außerhalb der typischen Essenszeit

Bisher war ich immer zufrieden. Aber heute (10.08.2021) war der Desinfektionsspender und die Papiertücher leer.

Das Essen war super und daran gibt es nichts auszusetzen allerdings war das Restaurant wohl ein bisschen unterbesetzt . Der Kellner war trotzdem sehr freundlich.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Ich lese hier kritische Stimmen die über die Qualität des Essens und dem Kaffee sprechen . Dann müsst Ihr halt ins Colombihotel in Freiburg gehen und der fünffachen Preis bdafür bezahlen.

Wir gehen schon seit Jahren zum Frühstück ,es ist immer super lecker und der Preis stimmt . Die Bedienung ist nett , hervorheben möchten wir den Restaurant-Leiter . Immer schnell und ein lächeln auf den Lippen.Wir können die Gastronomie nur jedem weiter empfehlen .

Ungefähr das was man von einem Imbiss erwartet, wo normalerweise kein Imbiss vorhanden sein sollte. Nicht so gut wie Ikea aber besser als McDonalds!
