Puana‘S Restaurant & Bar in Löningen

Unfortunately, the restaurant has suffered a significant decline in quality, taste, and service. The rump steak was tough and extremely salty, but at least cooked medium. The fries were lukewarm at best, and the shrimp in the surf and turf were swimming in oil and weren't even peeled. They were also so long in the fryer that they were simply tough. The lamb fillet, as listed on the menu, was overcooked and unfortunately had the texture of shoe leather. The rice was also lukewarm at best. The mushroom cream sauce could have been used as sealant. It was definitely too thick and, like the rice, barely seasoned. The bruschetta was the worst thing I've ever eaten. A poorly baked pizza dough in a waffle cone, about 1.5 cm high, topped with a mountain of tomato salad. This was also completely oversalted, but there was no trace of basil, pepper, garlic, or any other seasonings. Arugula was also nowhere to be found. The cocktail (Sex on the Beach) was simply disgusting. The only thing I could taste was pineapple juice, hardly any trace of alcohol, and the color... more like greasy dishwater. Unfortunately, the salad was also a disappointment, consisting of canned corn and beetroot with a bit of Lolo Rosso, iceberg lettuce, and two cucumber slices, each about the size of half a cucumber. Everything, including the dressing, was meager and extremely salty. The portions were also not commensurate with the price. The only positive thing to mention was the wheat beer. But that was delivered pre-packaged... The service was atrocious. One of the servers barely spoke German, and hardly anyone else was around. I would have liked to have another drink, but if no one came... So, to sum it up. For €91, I have a much higher expectation of food and drink quality, as well as service. Simply utterly disappointing and infuriating. Especially since we were there for our 10th wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday. The server's reaction was particularly disastrous. All in all, not recommended and a rip-off.

Super cozy atmosphere, the food was good, although I unfortunately didn't get the steak cooked to the degree I ordered. The service was nice, but a bit slow. All in all, it was a good evening.

We ate there again after a long time. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. After arriving, we had to wait 20 minutes before we could even order drinks. Those took another 15 minutes. The menu finally arrived with the drinks. After ordering, we waited a full 40 minutes for our food. Two appetizers never arrived, and the salads and rolls only came after we asked for them. It continued like this: drinks either didn't arrive, were the wrong ones, or the ouzo was sometimes warm and sometimes cold. All in all, I really wouldn't recommend it.

Unfortunately, everything has deteriorated since the change of ownership. Guests were no longer greeted warmly upon arrival. The tables weren't very clean, and even the menus were dirty. The food was only mediocre, which is unacceptable given the rather high price. Furthermore, it was all too common to hear the kitchen staff working extremely loudly. The service was inexperienced and seemed somewhat helpless in dealing with guests. And yes, Marco is missed.

It's simply gone downhill over time. The waiters are great, very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say. The quality of the meat has deteriorated significantly. We used to love ordering the Cowboy Pike; it was simply delicious three years ago... now it's completely fatty and tough. The price is just as outrageous: €26 back then, then about a year ago it was increased to €29. You can understand that with rising costs, but now it's gone up again to over €30! The quality and preparation have declined. A few days ago, we tried it again, and now came the icing on the cake: FOOD POISONING! I ordered a pork dish and cut into it... it was simply RAW inside. We complained, the plate was sent back to the kitchen, and the same dish, all jumbled up, was returned. The meat was probably cooked again. I ate it then and then... Now I'm lying here, I vomited seven times last night, and I can't eat anything else. My partner also ate leftover meat from me and is now sitting next to me with vomiting and diarrhea. Puanas, no thanks, we won't be coming back. What a shame!

I recommend reserving a table on Saturdays. We were lucky though and got speedy service. Drinks and food arrived super fast and we were absolutely thrilled with all three dishes. We'd definitely come back.

The food was mostly black, the burgers either without cheese or drowning in cheese and grease. Good old memories leave behind a huge disappointment. On top of that, there was an 80-minute wait for 11 people.

We've always enjoyed going to Puanas, but unfortunately, things went wrong on our last visit. The cutlery was missing when the appetizer was served and only arrived after we asked for it. The main course also didn't arrive at the same time – the children's meals were served about 10-15 minutes earlier. The usually delicious bread rolls that are served with the salad were forgotten this time and only brought after we asked for them. Furthermore, no one asked us if we wanted anything to drink during the meal – overall, the service seemed inattentive and much more careless than usual. It's a shame, because the food itself was as good as ever – but the service has definitely declined. We hope things will improve on our next visit. Review from 6 years ago: The food was delicious. I ordered a ribeye steak, medium rare – and it was cooked to perfection! Tender, juicy, with a wonderful crust and full of flavor. The sides were also excellent: the homemade fries were crispy, the vegetables were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The sauces were delicious and rounded off the whole meal perfectly. I would also like to particularly highlight the white wine – very aromatic and perfectly chilled, simply a delight. In conclusion: From the first moment to the last bite, simply fantastic! If you appreciate good meat and excellent service, this is the place for you. I will definitely come back!

I highly recommend Puanas. This is our third time there, and as always, the food was delicious and arrived quickly. Even with a certain number of people, you don't have to wait long for your food.

Once again, I opted for the super tender and incredibly delicious honey-marinated spare ribs. I can also recommend them with any other marinade because they're simply fantastic. No disgusting, overly faty edges and they're nice and meaty.

We were there on a Saturday evening, and the place was packed with customers. We waited a very long time for our food; as an apology, they offered us a round of drinks on the house. The staff were very attentive, but unfortunately, they don't help much when the food doesn't arrive. I had a cheddar burger with fries. The meat was exactly as I ordered on the inside, but completely burnt on the outside. And you could taste it, too. The fries were delicious. Several glasses fell to the floor at the counter, causing a few clatters throughout the place. It can happen, but this often is noticeable. A somewhat younger waiter was at our table really annoyingly often and wanted to take our plates away, for example, even though we were still eating. He sometimes stood with us far too long, trying to exert his nonexistent charm. That's not possible. We're there to enjoy our food. If I want to see a bad actor, I'll watch Good Times, Bad Times. The restrooms were very worn in the sink area that evening. The handle on the restroom door was loose... as a handyman, I can't understand why they can't fix something like that; it's a 10-minute job. At the end, we were asked what we'd been drinking because they had apparently lost the drinks list for our table. But it came up again during the conversation. Everything seemed very unprofessional. The many good reviews are certainly justified, but the staff weren't in the best shape on the day of our visit. I won't be going back for a while. 2 stars for the effort and the ambiance; the rest of the evening wasn't good.

We were there again after years. Very disappointing. If I spend so much money on so little meat, I expect to have high-quality meat in my mouth. I had "Giros" (grilled veal). There were pieces I couldn't chew, so I discreetly spat them into a napkin. Absolutely not! There were eight of us there. Almost everyone was very unenthusiastic. The spareribs were also incredibly dry. I'd also like to mention that it's not nice to sit at a table (outside, across the street) that's completely dirty and covered in bird droppings. I was really hoping someone would come along with a rag... but that wasn't the case. What a shame!!!

We used to come here often, but things have changed a bit. The food looked good, but unfortunately it wasn't as good as usual. The waiters aren't as quick as usual, and it's barely busy. I ordered a well-done burger, but unfortunately it was raw in the middle and didn't taste as good as usual. The starter wasn't as good as usual either, and it didn't taste as good either. And honestly, it even surpassed our old one. The food? Consistently delicious. Whether it's burgers, ribs, or other dishes, everything is made with love and tastes simply amazing. But what really makes Puanas special for us is the service. The staff is friendly, quick, attentive, and always up for a nice chat or a little fun. You just feel welcome. Went there again after months because we liked it back then. Ordered the largest Argentinian roast beef there was per person. We weren't even asked how we would like the steak, we had the feeling that everything should happen quickly. The steak was brought well done, although medium rare would have been desirable, but instead we were quickly brushed off when ordering food, so we didn't even have the chance to mention it. The side dish was extremely strange, there was a potato that, strangely enough, was almost no longer there? It was a minimal piece of potato covered with sour cream dipping sauce. Honestly, the potato was gone after being stabbed three times with a fork, I can't explain which host could put such a small piece of potato there, which also looked as if the potato had already been worked on by someone and then covered it with so much sauce... Conclusion: I definitely won't recommend the store and I'm disappointed with the food we were served.

On the first visit: everything was perfect On the second visit we waited almost 100 minutes for the food and unfortunately it wasn't good either. On top of that, the service was subpar and seemed to have to make jokes about forgotten dishes after waiting 100 minutes

The absolute lowest point of my visit to Pauanas was the behavior of the staff. After we had to wait an incredible 2.5 hours for our food, we were not apologized or treated kindly - on the contrary: we were laughed at by the employees! This disrespectful and condescending behavior is simply unbelievable. Instead of showing understanding for the situation, our frustration was ignored and ridiculed. I have never experienced anything like this in any other restaurant. One thing is clear to me: Anyone who treats customers like this has no respect for them and should not be in the hospitality industry. A bottomless impudence that I cannot recommend to anyone.

What I experienced at Pauanas was by far the worst restaurant experience of my life. An employee - apparently aggressive and completely unprofessional - violently hit my burger with a knife. Such behavior is not only disturbing, but also dangerous. The waiting time of 2.5 hours was an absolute disgrace! And when the food finally came, the fries were cold, half of the order was forgotten and didn't come until later. There was no apology, no explanation - just chaos. What made this already miserable visit even worse was that we were constantly being asked if we wanted to order drinks even though we still hadn't had any food! This seemed like a deliberate rip-off to get extra money out of our pockets. The absolute highlight: Mazzala was served to minors without any consideration. This is not only irresponsible, but also illegal! This restaurant is a prime example of poor service, disrespectful employees and disastrous management. Never again! Anyone who gets lost here can expect a real horror show.

We sat in the store for over 2 hours without eating and were only asked for new drinks. This gives a feeling of rip-off. Table reserved at 8:15 p.m. and food received at 10:30 p.m.! It doesn't work that way! But the food was delicious…

We went to Firmfire and were absolutely thrilled! Everything was perfectly organized, the orders were brought quickly, and the show program was great. The meat was of the highest quality, as was everything else. The service was first class, attentive and professional. All we can say is thank you and highly recommend it – which we have already done!

We were there with 7 men and first had an appetizer platter brought to us. It was so good and plentiful that neither of us could manage one more main course. We then ordered two platters for two people each and were wonderfully full afterwards and had countless delicacies. Thank you for so much variability! The service and ambience were also very good and the price was absolutely right. What more could you want?

So this restaurant is the definition of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Despite reservations, a waiting time of 1 hour and 15 minutes, which in principle wouldn't be dramatic, the order came with a mistake that they didn't want to fix at first. The problems continued when the food was half cold and the ribs are dry and fries are dry and cold because frozen goods can compete. The local is basically well designed but when it comes to prices and food, it's underground not again and not a recommendation

Today, September 23rd, 2024, I went to dinner with my wife at Puana'S Restaurant in Löningen for my 60th birthday. The food was unique and very, very good, there was also plenty to eat, we had flambéed steaks on a hot plate, so not flambéed because of smoke and smoke, with consideration for the guests "is understandable and understandable". I could fool myself, the food was so good. If there is anything left over from the food that you can no longer manage, the guest can pack it up to take away if desired. We shared the East Coast platter and had bruschetta first. Every piece of meat was extremely tasty! The burger was tip top! The onion rings can be compared to those from BK. Me and my friend had dinner there yesterday and I had a hair in my food. I said so and got a new portion. I had the rest packed up and wanted to eat it now. They didn't make me new food as promised and as I thought since I just found my hair again while eating! They just slapped a ton of sauce on it and didn't even bother to take it out of the food, even though it was obvious. I'm really pissed off. It can always happen, but I've never experienced such a mess. Not worth a visit!!

The food is a delight especially the spare rips

We had made a reservation for several people with the desire to go outside, when we got there on time we were told there was no room available for us, no problem can happen, we thought, so we have about 15-20 minutes waited for a free spot. Nevertheless, when it came to ordering drinks, we were almost forgotten, or a waiter came very late to take us, our food was cold and wasn't served without any problems because here too there was no guarantee that something was ordered or that things weren't delivered taken into account. The only positive thing for us that evening was the great service from Tina, big praise, she made up for so much of our disappointment with her super friendly and open manner, rarely had such great service as you did, This lady would be the only reason for us to give it another chance.
