Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the breakfast. The rolls seemed like baked rolls to us, there was very little jam etc. per dish, they were served without fruit/vegetables/parsley or anything similar, just the pre-packaged spreads in their plastic packaging and rolls or croissants on a plate. We think the price is definitely too high and not appropriate for the performance. We wouldn't eat here again.

We waited about 30 minutes for a carbonara.

A very good pizza and a very good tiramisu. The service is very good and the decoration is pretty.

During a little shopping spree we spontaneously stopped here for a drink. We were greeted warmly and shown to a nice place, even though we thought the place would be full. There was even more space in the basement. So we ordered two delicious cocktails and a pizza sandwich. Nice staff, nice ambience and delicious food/drinks. We'd love to come back.

It was a Sunday afternoon and I was seated quickly. There were many open tables. I grabbed an outdoor table near one of the heating units - it was about 45°F but it was cozy. Had the spaghetti carbonara and it was pretty good - the ham was plentiful and tasty, while the sauce was smooth. Only complaint is that I had to ask three times to pay my bill - while it wasn’t busy and I wasn’t in a rush, I didn’t feel like sitting there any longer.

First we were outside and then we wanted to sit inside. Staff/waitress said I wanted to ask. After 20 minutes there was still no answer, nobody inside knew anything about it. You probably didn't fit in. Never again.

Rarely have I had such a delicious pizza. The shop was packed but the service was very courteous and the food came quickly. We recommend.

The food was of good quality, very good taste, the service was quick and very friendly! The furnishings and atmosphere lack coziness and did not invite everyone to linger for a longer period of time.

Best Pasta ever SPAGETTI BELLAVISTA

The drinks were very fresh and it was a warm place for us who came in during a rainy time. The staff was very kind, which made the place feel even cozier. We bought a pizza toscano with my friend and both the taste and the dough were very good. Should not forget the Permasen cheese(⁠｡⁠♡⁠‿⁠♡⁠｡⁠)

We ordered Pizza Toscana and homemade icetea with peach. We really liked its taste and homemade icetea was delicious. Also we were welcomed very nicely 😊

Service was really good. Chicken pasta was delicious! Four cheese pizza tasted good but don’t order if you expect an authentic quattro formaggi. It’s very basic. The baked potato had too much sour cream! Wish it was on the side or less, and the potato lacked butter and was very dry. The atmosphere was great! Made me feel like i was in Italy!

After a super friendly greeting we were brought to the table.. my partner and I both had pasta with salmon and it was delicious.. the salmon was seared to perfection and also seasoned.. our drinks (Lillet Berry and Aperol Maracuija) were 1 with asterisk... We will be back definitely

The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The salad and pasta tasted delicious. The outdoor area was well attended and comfortably designed. Overall, highly recommended.

The food was great, the place was clean and tidy. The ambience was simple but pleasant, non-intrusive music would have been missing. The service was smart and uniformly dressed, friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, despite not having many guests, we had to wait a little long for service.

Tourists fell, ordered Alster and got beer. After being tipped off, a little bit of Sprite was simply poured onto the slightly drunk person. Food was questionable. According to the menu, the pasta was with ham and mushrooms. There were more than enough mushrooms, but ham was probably out...

We went to Prego for a lunchtime snack. The pizza and the final espresso were excellent. Unfortunately the service was rather inattentive and not very friendly...

A very pleasant place looks chic recommended

A calorie oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the shopping mile. A little too loud, a little expensive, a little crowded. But very nice and attentive service. Menu also enriched with special features.

Spaghetti delicious, ambience a bit loud

We were there on 2 consecutive days, first for lunch and then for breakfast. My steak fell through straight away because it was served absolutely well done instead of medium. The baked potato had different temperatures inside, probably microwaved. The side salad was served on a platter along with the meat, which I found difficult to handle and was grateful that I didn't get any salad dressing. Breakfast was served on a cake stand, not enough of anything. The scrambled eggs too hard and dry. There was terribly loud elevator music playing, which created a rather annoying, rather than relaxing, atmosphere. Reordering cucumbers/tomatoes was totally overpriced and this wish was only fulfilled reluctantly. The service is hectic and unprofessional. Plates are stacked on the table, and when you order something more your eyes roll. All in all not recommended. We won't be coming back, the high ratings are incomprehensible to me.

Was completely satisfied with everything. Extremely nice and attentive service. From the receptionist to the table server. We were able to order a children's portion for the child. The food was very tasty. The portions were a good size and looked appealing. The ambience was really excellent. We had the opportunity to use a table in the basement, where you have a great feel-good factor thanks to the furnishings. If we come to Hamburg again, we will definitely stop by again. Thank you for the great culinary experience.

Always happy and has been for many years. When we are in Hamburg, we definitely never go without the Prego. Delicious food, a great team and a cozy atmosphere. We can only recommend it.

The food didn't convince us. The service was hectic and the ambience seemed old-fashioned and unfashionable. Price was a bit expensive for what you got but still within reason. Still wouldn't come back.

The food was great with a wide variety on offer, there is certainly something for everyone. Great tiramisu. The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful. But the most remarkable thing was our service person, she remembered every request without taking notes and there wasn't a single mistake, even though there were six of us.

We happened to end up in this great restaurant after our stroll through the city and were VERY positively surprised. The pizza was delicious and of great quality!! The service was very friendly and quick and my requested balsamic vinegar was quickly brought to the table. If we travel to Hamburg again we will DEFINITELY come back. Food is super tasty. Also quite large portions. There is also fresh homemade lemonade. We got a place in the basement. Cozy furnishings and comfortable chairs. After the meal you are asked if you would like an espresso. Great local.

Dessert was very good, Pizza missed some spices.

The pizza is tasty enough for 4 or 3+, French fries too, served with ketchup and mayonnaise in bags. The dark beer is delicious, beautiful dishes. Very cozy, warm and comfortable!! The staff is friendly! Prices are affordable!

The restaurant doesn't look that big, but when you go downstairs the whole floor is beautifully furnished. Great for larger parties. And the surprise is in the toilet...

The food is really delicious! My partner had a pizza and I ordered Fussilli alio&olio. There was nothing to complain about. However, there was really nothing cozy about the atmosphere. The noise is like that of a train station hall and unfortunately the two-person tables are placed far too close together. There is only what feels like 25cm of space between them. This means that you are almost inevitably a guest at the neighbor's table.

Unfortunately, my 7 year old son and I were not served. A broken door was at least 20 minutes more important than guests! Hopefully the door survived.

The food tasted really great! The drinks (Aperol Sprizz) should have been really cold. The service can also be expanded, but was already suitable for a tourist area.

We visited very spontaneously today and got a great place without a reservation. Food was at the table very quickly and tasted excellent. We are more than satisfied with the price/performance ratio. I can only recommend it, it made it into my list for good food in Hamburg.

Great service, which alone was enough to make you feel comfortable! Super nice and obliging. There was a feeling that it was important that the guests felt comfortable! Also very flexible when it comes to the guests' dining wishes! I haven't experienced it with anyone else and I don't know some of them yet! That's why I've loved the Prego for a long time and can only recommend it to everyone!!!

My experience at the "Prego" restaurant was mixed. Although the atmosphere was pleasant, the food was appealing and the service was very friendly, my expectations regarding the table assignment were not met. When I arrived I politely asked for a table for four to the side. However, I was informed that it had already been reserved. As a waitress, I understand the importance of reservations and accepted this without question. Nevertheless, I was surprised when I later observed two people sitting down at the exact table that was supposedly reserved for other guests without a reservation. It is regrettable that my concerns were not adequately addressed and instead I was given inaccurate information. As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I value the importance of a good guest experience and respect for customers. Unfortunately, in this case the focus seemed to be more on increasing sales than on guest satisfaction. Overall, my visit to the "Prego" was not as satisfactory as I had hoped because of this incident. It would be desirable for management to handle such situations better to improve the quality of customer service and ensure that all guests are equally respected.

Horrible. Certain dishes had not arrived, so half of the party could eat and the other half could not. Then the waitress asked if she could put another dish on the table (with the food already in her hands). It came across as very forceful and there was no way to get my ordered dish. No reason was given for this either. Very unfriendly. Furthermore, the pasta I got instead was super gross. Dry tagliatelle with white fish. We also 'had' to tip more than 10%. This also seemed very compelling. It's not America, you just get paid in Germany. Not recommended. We also received a free cappuccino, that's the only good thing. And 1 other sweet waitress!

The food was amazing and I been there 2 evenings in a row. I ordered pasta and pizza both of them were great! Servise is incredibly fast like they knew what I am gonna order because that was fire fast haha 😂 Also I didnt wait to pay my bill more than 2 minutes. The staff was also helpful even if I was alone they gave me a seat thank you for your 5 star service. (Also a good choice for a date night 😌)

Prego is a wonderful Italian restaurant. The staff are extremely polite and helpful and can still find a cozy place for the guest even in the most stressful times. The food is of high quality, very tasty and delivered quickly. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality and ambience offered. The Prego is always worth a visit when you are in Hamburg.

The place is quite pleasant, but unfortunately there are too many drunk people shouting. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't cooked properly and the noodles were unfortunately cold when they arrived. The drinks are good, but many classic drinks are missing. The service was good except for one server who was unfortunately very unfriendly.

The food was delicious, but the service was a bit unfriendly and I had the feeling that everything had to happen very quickly. The main course was even served while we were still eating the starter. When we decided not to have dessert, we were asked several times if we wanted to order dessert. Overall, authentic Italian hospitality was missing. More of a ‘mainstream Italian’.

Food top Local tour flop Since I and other people have been going to the Prego as a standard for tens of years, you count yourself as a regular customer. A person I support suffers from an illness over which they can do nothing and have no influence. Customers are helpful in emergency situations and accept the disadvantages. Staff have known about the restriction since the first visit, although they don't bother the staff at all, just point out the matter. Now it means we are restricting operations, we can't fit into the store with the restrictions. It's a disease❗❗❗ for those affected who cannot do anything, After you've eaten, you'll be escorted out with the sentence: It's no better here anymore. Please!!? Because you probably don't fit in with the well-heeled and higher-paying clientele. Where is the humanity? And what can a person do for his illness? Guiding people out under the premise of illness is and remains discrimination and is not possible at all. Acceptance of illnesses is part of everyday life, especially these days. Miscellaneous +great ambience Friendly staff (service) Locally responsible person Friendly at the time of the visit, but given the situation and the decision here, a clear one (6). Because this behavior towards the customer is simply not possible. And the person affected does not have to accept this situation either. Nice restaurant in the middle of downtown Hamburg. The staff was very friendly, the service was quick, but the food was saved on quantity. At least with the pasta.

I was there with three friends and we were very satisfied. Each of us ordered a pizza, it tasted very good, the cheese was excellent. When only one of us ordered a drink, the waiter gave the rest of us a small Coke on the house, which was very generous. I would come again.

It was just a little too cold, so I preferred to leave my jacket on while I ate.

Hello, here is my review of the Prego restaurant: First of all I would like to say that I do NOT think this restaurant is bad. If you want to eat average pizza, this is the place for you. However, if you expect more, you've come to the wrong place. The food was reasonably priced and came quickly. We had a bottle of wine, which was also okay and was also included in the ramen at €28. Nevertheless, I find the reviews about this store a little overrated. Noodles unfortunately small portions, more suitable for children. Nevertheless, I hope you have a nice evening. Pasta highly recommended, the pizzas were too dark from the bottom and black in some places. The knives are not sharp enough to cut a pizza properly. The staff is very nice, but towards the end we were almost overlooked, which was a shame. If it's right, we'd love to come back.
