If you are looking for a cozy atmosphere, Giovanni is a good choice. As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel a warm and cozy atmosphere. The menu offers a wide range of classic Italian dishes. We particularly recommend the pizza. The stone oven pizza has a crispy base and high-quality ingredients - a real taste experience! The service is friendly and courteous, but not intrusive. The waiters take their time to serve guests and are happy to make recommendations, especially if you want to order a specialty dish.

The pizza was just perfect – crispy dough, fresh ingredients and just the right amount of toppings. The taste was outstanding and the combination of flavors was simply unbeatable. Kudos also to the waitress. She was extremely friendly, attentive and always with a smile. Her service was quick and professional and she really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this restaurant. I'll definitely be back!

Hello, I was with you a week ago. well, I wonder how pizza in your "trattoria" can be so bad? tasteless without mozzarella and with two mushrooms, two slices of salami and an artichoke as an addition and the price exceeds 10 €!! And be careful, everything is very expensive, a bottle of AcquaPanna costs €9 here! the seats are too, really too close together... When I go to an Italian trattoria, I expect more than just a name! What a shame!

It stands out as it is not in the ‘restaurant’ district of Hamburg. Location-wise it sits next to a skate park, in a friendly area of town. The service is incredibly kind, expecially if you are visiting from another country, this logic was shown when the waiter gave us a free drink. The food wasn’t particularly special but the Italian vibe contrasted well with the German atmosphere.

This is the second time I've been here and I'm still absolutely thrilled! The carbonara is bombastic! And the service was very attentive :) I'll definitely be back a third time!

Very tasty Italian cuisine! The tiramisu and the Hokkaido pasta are highly recommended. We were served very quickly and competently. The coffee is prepared here with a portafilter machine!

Five of us spontaneously went to eat there. Super friendly service (thanks Giovanni) and the food was very tasty. The children celebrated the spaghetti Bolognese, my husband was also very happy with his pizza and my lasagna was also great. The highlight for the children was the bread and herb butter beforehand. Was cleaned up in a few minutes 😅

Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The two truffle dishes hardly tasted of truffles (there was none to be seen) and were very dry and oily. The filled noodles generally had little taste and didn't seem homemade, which is what I would have expected for the high price. I wouldn't come back. But the staff was very nice.

There were five of us and we had reserved the table so there was no waiting time. The food came very quickly after ordering and was very tasty. However, the portions were very small and therefore expensive. The restaurant is small and cramped, it was very cozy at our table. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. Basically we were welcomed very nicely even without a reservation. The staff was also friendly. However, the slightly older gentleman (presumably the owner of the restaurant) was a bit pushy. He really wanted us to write him a Google review and kept getting really close, stroking our backs and making inappropriate comments. We will therefore not come back. We felt very uncomfortable!

Short visit to Hamburg and found Trattoria vitello by chance. Didn't regret eating there. Is highly recommended.

After a short shopping trip, my partner and I spontaneously came across this small restaurant - without a reservation - and were warmly welcomed from the start. 🥰 Although the restaurant looks rather inconspicuous from the outside, there is a real treasure hidden inside: a warm, inviting atmosphere and a consistently attentive and extremely friendly staff. After we were seated at a beautiful table, we were handed the menu, which already promised a lot. But the actual quality of the food exceeded our expectations! ☺️ Everything was prepared with attention to detail and really got to the point. In summary, only one thing can be said: the combination of excellent cuisine, warmth and hospitality makes this restaurant a real insider tip. Grazie mille for this wonderful evening! We felt completely at home and will definitely be happy to come back! ♥️
