The place is right in the centre of Altstadt. And the view is amazing! So just go for that. Otherwise the food was really mediocre. The pizza was very toasted and chewy. My hand hurts, jaw hurts and I lost my appetite just trying to cut it. The pizza lacked flavor, we could barely taste anything. The drinks were okay, nothing special. The service - some of the waiters were nice.

Beautiful restaurant, extremely friendly and attentive staff. I always enjoy coming there again and again.

I'll never go there again! If you come with a stroller, you are not allowed to choose a seat. My child was sleeping and there were hardly any guests there. Wanted to sit on the corner and put the stroller there. It was said that the stroller was detrimental to the restaurant's presentation. If you look from the outside, it's better if you don't see a stroller. That's what I got as an answer. Then I just left. Well, then I'll never come back. I have already recommended this restaurant to several friends because the location is great. The waiter was not motivated. I felt like I had committed a sin by going in with a stroller. Violent! Food expensive, rather smaller portions and taste ok. The absolute impudence was: After we paid (including a generous tip because she had been quite nice up to that point), the waiter came to the table and without comment started turning down the umbrella at our table. The restaurant is really nicely decorated. I knew it from earlier times as “Kaffee Gröll”, where I often went with my grandfather. There is no sign of this today - everything is modern and attractively designed. The service was super friendly and we also enjoyed the food. We had spaghetti Bolognese, which was really excellent - with pure beef, just the way I like Bolognese best. The pizza was also good, but I have one small criticism: it wasn't pre-cut. I just don't understand why some restaurants don't cut the pizza. Without a pizza cutter, often with a blunt knife and on plates that are too small, it always becomes quite a tedious task - and above all, annoying. Apart from that everything was great and I can definitely recommend the restaurant!

We had our employee day with 60 people in Provenza in mid-December and are completely satisfied! From the first contact for the reservation to the further arrangements by telephone and email, everything was extremely uncomplicated and always very friendly. All of our wishes were fulfilled, which made the entire process very pleasant. We were warmly welcomed on the day of the event. The tables in the upper area and in the back of the restaurant were wonderfully set and invited you to linger. Despite the large group, the service was excellent. All service staff tried very hard and managed to serve 60 people quickly and professionally. The entire menu – from starters to dessert – was very well received. A special thank you goes to Claudia, Ms. Wittmann and the entire team, who always served us helpfully, friendly and with a smile that day. We can highly recommend Provenza and would be happy to come back!

Three stars for the beautiful facility. The gentleman is a disaster, he literally followed my friend to the toilet in order to collect €2. Even at the motorway service stations you only pay €1. It's a real rip-off from the operator

The dining experience was a mixed one. The pasta, unfortunately, left a lot to be desired – it seemed pre-cooked and only reheated. Coffee again, below expectations. Prices are reasonable, but value for money can be improved on some dishes.

We hadn't ordered anything and because we hadn't eaten anything we were told we weren't allowed to stay here anymore and we had to leave the café in 30 minutes.

Due to it being evening and the Christmas market crowd, we were told we could only sit in the dining area if we ordered food. Although we weren’t hungry, we decided to sit because all we really wanted was to have some coffee. However, since we planned to have bruschetta, we considered ordering fries alongside it, as well as some alcohol. But as they didn’t have fries, we ended up ordering just coffee and bruschetta. The food was delicious, but the waiter didn’t seem very pleased with our order. We felt his harsh and judgmental gaze down to our core. Later, he came to inform us that they had a reservation at 6:30 PM. Although we had only sat there for a short time, we felt uncomfortable and decided to leave.

The food was of medium quality and clearly at high prices. Other restaurants nearby are more worthwhile. The service is slow and often rather unfriendly. The customers who only order drinks are shooed away from the tables to the bar or to standing room in the otherwise empty restaurant. Even for sinful customers, there is very little friendly behavior left. Overall expensive, not great and you could do better if you wanted to.

We received a very friendly welcome and were given a very nice table for our group of ten on the first floor. All dishes (pizzas and fish dishes) were very good. What was particularly noteworthy was that we all got our food at the same time. Claudia, our service lady, was perfect, always attentive, professional and at the same time warm and very friendly. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Provenza. Many thanks to the entire Provenza team from the kitchen to the service.

Unfortunately one of the worst Italians I've ever been to. The service was really unmotivated and didn't make any effort to hide this. The gentleman didn't deserve a cent of tip! We also had to wait forever for everything. Another point of criticism, which is more our own fault: the view from the terrace is really nice, but there is always someone (including the guests inside) smoking outside on the terrace right next to you, which is annoying. The biggest criticism, however, is the food. The starter sausage platter is just the Netto salami placed on a plate, a bit of chives on top, 9€. Had lasagne as a main course. However, all I got was a pile of processed cheese with traces of minced meat and a bit of pasta dough in between. An impudence and insult to any real lasagne - especially for €22. Here you actually only pay for the location of the restaurant and then you don't get any quality for the high prices.

It was mine and my friends' favorite restaurant, but they've recently taken the liberty of installing cameras everywhere, almost every table is under Big Brother surveillance - moderately! I'm sorry for the great employees, but this camera trattoria won't be seeing us again anytime soon...

The food is super delicious! The pizza in particular is recommended. The waiter (Turkish and around 20-30 years old) is incredibly friendly and we immediately got along very well with him (my husband and I). He was able to recommend the best dishes to us at the push of a button and was exactly right with his recommendation! Seldom met such a nice and competent Keller. Food super tasty and fresh!!

Cappuccino and apple pie were awesome

Our son's birthday party couldn't have gone better. When we made our reservation, the friendly staff member pointed out to us that the city run was taking place on that day and that parking would therefore be difficult. The table was beautifully set and with a total of 17 people (including 14 children) we had more than enough space. There was pizza for everyone (margherita, marinara and salami). Great taste and served really hot; as you wish. The service was top notch from start to finish; always friendly and courteous! One or two competitors can learn a lot here. Always happy to go there; never been disappointed so far. Please continue like this!

Provenza in Nuremberg is the epitome of unprofessionalism. The owner comes across as someone who has no idea how to run a restaurant and tries to cover up his obvious incompetence with aggressive arrogance. It's almost embarrassing to watch him take out his whims on guests, as if that makes up for his completely mediocre cooking. The staff? Probably just as frustrated to work for someone who clearly ended up in the wrong industry. It feels more like you've ended up in a poorly organized amateur project than in a serious restaurant. My honest advice: close the shop before you scare away more customers and find a new hobby - gastronomy is clearly not your thing.

The only plus point is the view of the old city

Never been treated so rudely by service staff. After we sat down outside with 5 people and strollers and grabbed a chair from the neighboring table, we were asked by a rather rude waiter to move to the balcony on the 1st floor. The reason for this is that there wouldn't be enough chairs for potential guests at another table. There were 2 other tables empty. When we asked whether we should really go up to the first floor with the stroller, we initially didn't respond at all and then responded rudely, whereupon we left the restaurant. You should perhaps put customer friendliness ahead of greed here, then you wouldn't have missed out on a deal with 5 potential customers. But luckily there are plenty of other restaurants in Nuremberg.

Our spontaneous visit to Provenza was crowned by the friendly staff who welcomed us at the entrance and sent us to the first floor. We were brought to the place by a very friendly gentleman and were very well looked after. Very tasty food and a very good wine recommendation. Clear recommendation.

The pizza here is not recommended to anyone. It's hard as concrete and tastes like nothing. The beef and salad were ok.

The ambience is of course great, especially on the terrace, even though you get the impression that the customers are selected very carefully. At first they wanted to send us away because everything was supposedly reserved, then the boss said we could stay and got a table in the front row. It took a while before we could order and then our drinks got lost and it took another while until they finally came. The pizza was tasty, although a bit sparsely topped for the price of just under 15 euros. Spritz at just under 8 euros is also quite expensive but since you're sitting on the main market in the middle of Nuremberg, that's ok. In the end, numbers weren't an issue, the boss was funny and pretty on the ball, even if the entire service seemed a bit overwhelmed.

Pizza was very tasty. But...The condescending attitude of the waiters spoiled the impression of the restaurant. We won't come here again.

Went to the pizzeria at the weekend Unfortunately, that was the worst pizza we have eaten in a long time. , no taste and the cheese was horrible, it was just a cheese substitute! No quality! It's a shame, ☹️ but to talk about the best pizza in all of Nuremberg, that's really not the case.

Margherita pizza 11.90 and it is quite large and filling. Pomodoro noodles 11.50 and it is super rich and abundant. Beer 5.40 euros 500cc. You can pay by card and cash. The service is super fast, they serve you the food without waiting and the waiters are very helpful and friendly. I recommend this place. The view of the main square is incredible from this restaurant. We'll be back next time!

Not recommended, high prices, very rude staff

We went to dinner. After we were shown to the table, it took 15 minutes for the drinks to be ordered. Then 30 minutes until we could order the food. Incredibly long waiting times. The staff wasn't very friendly. The food, however, was quite good.

3 or 4 star food. 0 star service. We encountered rudeness from the waiter. His name is Makhran(m). if I remember correctly. he is middle-aged.

The atmosphere is definitely pleasant and inviting. The food was ok. However, I asked for Parmesan for my dish to refine it as usual. The waitress made a funny joke and then wanted to bring the parmesan. However, she didn't bring it and didn't come to our table. Of course, when a restaurant is full, something like this can happen under stress. But this was not the case. There was very little going on. Too bad.

Were there today, our waiter Eduart was extremely unfriendly, chased me from the table because of a drink from outside even though I had ordered a cake so that even other waiters shook their heads. I also noticed how he attacked another woman just because she wanted to take a photo of the ambience... When paying, he sounded annoyed because he had to get the device to pay by card. After paying, the receipt was just thrown at us without a word and left without a word bye, thank you or anything like that... the other waiter seemed really very friendly but our waiter and his service was subpar... therefore actually 0 stars for service...

On the terrace on the main square in Nuremberg. I only ate one plate of spaghetti but they were perfect, delicious. Cooking ok. Perfect seasoning, generous portion. Don't drink mineral water which is a bit expensive (0.75 cl paid 6.90) it costs less than Coca Cola.

Even though the place was empty, two of us asked to share a tiramisu and were told that we couldn't occupy a table for one tiramisu. Even though we explained that we were full and wanted to split a portion, they said that was not possible. I don't know if they are racist, or simply believe young people don't have money.

The restaurant itself was nice and also the man who greeted us, but the waiter who served us (I don’t know his name, an older man) was really unpleasant. I don’t know why he felt the need to disgustingly flirt with a girl who was with us and she could clearly be her daughter…even after not responding to him and to his stupid questions he pushed the situation even further…because of this we couldn’t really enjoy our night out and left soon.

We had a wonderful experience as a family at this establishment. The food was absolutely wonderful, and so was the service and atmosphere. The staff was professional and friendly, they had a good, dry humour, not as stiff as sometimes in other places, which we understood and appreciated. And the price was absolutely okay. Sorry we didn't have much left for tips for the friendly waiter (we kinda scraped together our cash and apologize, not that he took issue with it). Next time we'll come more prepared. Because I would love to return if I ever visit Nürnberg again.

Today August 10, 2024 at 10:45 p.m. I entered the restaurant and asked for a glass of water for my 80-year-old mother who had to take medication. The bartender (bald guy) refused to give a glass of water because the cash register was closed. According to him, even tap water would have had to be paid for. Your Italian bartender is a shame for all of Italy and this is written to you by an Italian who has lived in Germany for 15 years. I CANNOT ACCEPT SUCH SITUATIONS!!!! Oggi 08/10/2024 All 10:45 p.m. sono entered the restaurant for two cortesemente and bike of water for my mother, 80 years old, which requires a doctor. The barista (calvo) is the owner of the water bottle for the cash register of the chiusa. Secondly, there is also the water from the rubinetto. TU BARISTA is the vergogna dell'italia intera and asked to write an Italian that lives in Germania since 15 years.

Ice Cream Cafe and Ice Chocolate are mostly cream and very little ice cream, which was disappointing.

The waitress automatically increases the bill by one euro without handing out the receipt.

Yesterday we went to the Bard Festival with friends and enjoyed our food and drinks on the terrace with nice music. We had great service, everything was great!

The staff was very nice and quick. Terrace was fully occupied. True, the pizza was a bit neutral in taste. But I have to say that everything was fresh and many taste buds are used to colorings and additives. I recommend a little more oregano in the sauce and a different cheese.

Absolutely terrible food. Aglio-Olio pasta is no longer pasta, it's just something exceptionally spicy and that's all. The staff was very nice and friendly but the food is terrible. I came home with severe stomach pain that lasted all night. I don't recommend this!!!!

The service completely ignores us (4 people). After half an hour of sitting around without a map, we left. The restaurant was half full. But the waiters had time to chat. Very nice and inviting atmosphere, you feel like you are in Bella Italia 🫶🏽. The Fiat 500 gives the room a great flair, and the lemon wall is also nice and cozy. The great pasta with tiger prawns and the pizza with anchovies were excellent. Really large portions, which are difficult to manage. Prices are proportionate. Toilets are clean but old. The service is very friendly. We'd love to come back 🫶🏽.

One only needs to look at how disgracefully the owners respond to criticism to support the truth regarding the lack of professionalism and service we faced when we went here. The interior design is quite cool, the view from the restaurant is fair, and the greeter staff were pleasant in seating us. Afterwards, everything went downhill. The waitress came to us and asked us what we wanted. As we started to give in our food order she forced us to order our drinks first. We said alright then, a still water with our chosen pizza and pasta. She looked at us and said "We are not a McDonalds, you need to order more drinks since my boss will not allow me to take your order otherwise". We left without ordering as we wanted to enjoy our evening without putting up with rude service. The fact that the place was quite empty on a Saturday should have warned us that it is not a local favourite and clearly a tourist trap. Probably thought we were tourists and she could get away with saying whatever she liked because we don't look "local". Well, the waitress did a poor job of representing your restaurant and we will never (attempt to) eat here and will not recommend friends or family who visit us to eat here either. At least the so-called "McDonalds" that she tried to insult in Nuremberg still serve us with a smile and don't dictate to us what we as customers should order. A complete joke.

Hello Theo, we were with you today, the food was very, very good, your service was excellent. Can only recommend you!!! Had lunch with my daughter and son today! Pizza Salami, Pizza Capriziosa, small pasta Napoli and Pizza Frutti 👌

Unfortunately, I had higher expectations that were not met. We came on a recommendation. (birthday dinner) The antipasti was very good, the drinks average. I suppose if you just want a cafe or a quick bite to eat, you could be happy there. The main courses were a complete failure. The Spaghetti Aglio Olio was bland and unsalted, far too little garlic (no longer like two thin slices). Unfortunately extremely boring and bland. Also a joke for this price. My 16 year old daughter cooks better. The veal schnitzel Saltimbocca was not seared, it was a pale, limp slice of meat from the steamer. Unseasoned and as if it had just been thawed. Unfortunately the lemon sauce couldn't save it. I have no idea what the kitchen was thinking, but since it was my birthday I didn't feel like arguing and preferred to order another Chardonay. Overall, it's very annoying in retrospect how listless, dreary and miserable some chefs are about what they do to other people. In my opinion, you have failed in your job if you put something like that on the plate of your fellow human beings. The waitresses are all very friendly, hence 5 stars, they can't help it if a chef doesn't feel like doing his job with passion. The location is good, the facilities too. Otherwise there was nothing to complain about. Conclusion: for a coffee or drink, antipasto yes, primo no, secondo piatto: no. Addition 05/10/24: From what I can see right now, you can't handle criticism. Not very professional. After going to different Italian restaurants every week and having a family connection to Italian cuisine, the answer doesn't mean anything to me. Facts: the main course was miserable, period. There's nothing more to say. It's my sense of taste and that of my partner.
