It is a centrally located restaurant. The flavors are very successful. It is a good Italian restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food and beverage flavors are very good. It is a restaurant that I would recommend. I can also say that the portions are satisfying and the prices are reasonable. I recommend you to try the pizza. The table wine is also very nice.

It was mine and my friends' favorite restaurant, but they've recently taken the liberty of installing cameras everywhere, almost every table is under Big Brother surveillance - moderately! I'm sorry for the great employees, but this camera trattoria won't be seeing us again anytime soon...

The food is super delicious! The pizza in particular is recommended. The waiter (Turkish and around 20-30 years old) is incredibly friendly and we immediately got along very well with him (my husband and I). He was able to recommend the best dishes to us at the push of a button and was exactly right with his recommendation! Seldom met such a nice and competent Keller. Food super tasty and fresh!!

Yummy authentic Italian cuisine. Tried the seafood pasta and salmon pizza and it was molto delicioso. Pleasant ambience and good customer services.

Cappuccino and apple pie were awesome

Our son's birthday party couldn't have gone better. When we made our reservation, the friendly staff member pointed out to us that the city run was taking place on that day and that parking would therefore be difficult. The table was beautifully set and with a total of 17 people (including 14 children) we had more than enough space. There was pizza for everyone (margherita, marinara and salami). Great taste and served really hot; as you wish. The service was top notch from start to finish; always friendly and courteous! One or two competitors can learn a lot here. Always happy to go there; never been disappointed so far. Please continue like this!

Provenza in Nuremberg is the epitome of unprofessionalism. The owner comes across as someone who has no idea how to run a restaurant and tries to cover up his obvious incompetence with aggressive arrogance. It's almost embarrassing to watch him take out his whims on guests, as if that makes up for his completely mediocre cooking. The staff? Probably just as frustrated to work for someone who clearly ended up in the wrong industry. It feels more like you've ended up in a poorly organized amateur project than in a serious restaurant. My honest advice: close the shop before you scare away more customers and find a new hobby - gastronomy is clearly not your thing.

The only plus point is the view of the old city

Never been treated so rudely by service staff. After we sat down outside with 5 people and strollers and grabbed a chair from the neighboring table, we were asked by a rather rude waiter to move to the balcony on the 1st floor. The reason for this is that there wouldn't be enough chairs for potential guests at another table. There were 2 other tables empty. When we asked whether we should really go up to the first floor with the stroller, we initially didn't respond at all and then responded rudely, whereupon we left the restaurant. You should perhaps put customer friendliness ahead of greed here, then you wouldn't have missed out on a deal with 5 potential customers. But luckily there are plenty of other restaurants in Nuremberg.

Our spontaneous visit to Provenza was crowned by the friendly staff who welcomed us at the entrance and sent us to the first floor. We were brought to the place by a very friendly gentleman and were very well looked after. Very tasty food and a very good wine recommendation. Clear recommendation.

The pizza here is not recommended to anyone. It's hard as concrete and tastes like nothing. The beef and salad were ok.

The ambience is of course great, especially on the terrace, even though you get the impression that the customers are selected very carefully. At first they wanted to send us away because everything was supposedly reserved, then the boss said we could stay and got a table in the front row. It took a while before we could order and then our drinks got lost and it took another while until they finally came. The pizza was tasty, although a bit sparsely topped for the price of just under 15 euros. Spritz at just under 8 euros is also quite expensive but since you're sitting on the main market in the middle of Nuremberg, that's ok. In the end, numbers weren't an issue, the boss was funny and pretty on the ball, even if the entire service seemed a bit overwhelmed.

Pizza was very tasty. But...The condescending attitude of the waiters spoiled the impression of the restaurant. We won't come here again.

Went to the pizzeria at the weekend Unfortunately, that was the worst pizza we have eaten in a long time. , no taste and the cheese was horrible, it was just a cheese substitute! No quality! It's a shame, ☹️ but to talk about the best pizza in all of Nuremberg, that's really not the case.

Margherita pizza 11.90 and it is quite large and filling. Pomodoro noodles 11.50 and it is super rich and abundant. Beer 5.40 euros 500cc. You can pay by card and cash. The service is super fast, they serve you the food without waiting and the waiters are very helpful and friendly. I recommend this place. The view of the main square is incredible from this restaurant. We'll be back next time!

Not recommended, high prices, very rude staff

We went to dinner. After we were shown to the table, it took 15 minutes for the drinks to be ordered. Then 30 minutes until we could order the food. Incredibly long waiting times. The staff wasn't very friendly. The food, however, was quite good.

3 or 4 star food. 0 star service. We encountered rudeness from the waiter. His name is Makhran(m). if I remember correctly. he is middle-aged.

The atmosphere is definitely pleasant and inviting. The food was ok. However, I asked for Parmesan for my dish to refine it as usual. The waitress made a funny joke and then wanted to bring the parmesan. However, she didn't bring it and didn't come to our table. Of course, when a restaurant is full, something like this can happen under stress. But this was not the case. There was very little going on. Too bad.

Were there today, our waiter Eduart was extremely unfriendly, chased me from the table because of a drink from outside even though I had ordered a cake so that even other waiters shook their heads. I also noticed how he attacked another woman just because she wanted to take a photo of the ambience... When paying, he sounded annoyed because he had to get the device to pay by card. After paying, the receipt was just thrown at us without a word and left without a word bye, thank you or anything like that... the other waiter seemed really very friendly but our waiter and his service was subpar... therefore actually 0 stars for service...

On the terrace on the main square in Nuremberg. I only ate one plate of spaghetti but they were perfect, delicious. Cooking ok. Perfect seasoning, generous portion. Don't drink mineral water which is a bit expensive (0.75 cl paid 6.90) it costs less than Coca Cola.

Even though the place was empty, two of us asked to share a tiramisu and were told that we couldn't occupy a table for one tiramisu. Even though we explained that we were full and wanted to split a portion, they said that was not possible. I don't know if they are racist, or simply believe young people don't have money.

The restaurant itself was nice and also the man who greeted us, but the waiter who served us (I don’t know his name, an older man) was really unpleasant. I don’t know why he felt the need to disgustingly flirt with a girl who was with us and she could clearly be her daughter…even after not responding to him and to his stupid questions he pushed the situation even further…because of this we couldn’t really enjoy our night out and left soon.

We had a wonderful experience as a family at this establishment. The food was absolutely wonderful, and so was the service and atmosphere. The staff was professional and friendly, they had a good, dry humour, not as stiff as sometimes in other places, which we understood and appreciated. And the price was absolutely okay. Sorry we didn't have much left for tips for the friendly waiter (we kinda scraped together our cash and apologize, not that he took issue with it). Next time we'll come more prepared. Because I would love to return if I ever visit Nürnberg again.

Today August 10, 2024 at 10:45 p.m. I entered the restaurant and asked for a glass of water for my 80-year-old mother who had to take medication. The bartender (bald guy) refused to give a glass of water because the cash register was closed. According to him, even tap water would have had to be paid for. Your Italian bartender is a shame for all of Italy and this is written to you by an Italian who has lived in Germany for 15 years. I CANNOT ACCEPT SUCH SITUATIONS!!!! Oggi 08/10/2024 All 10:45 p.m. sono entered the restaurant for two cortesemente and bike of water for my mother, 80 years old, which requires a doctor. The barista (calvo) is the owner of the water bottle for the cash register of the chiusa. Secondly, there is also the water from the rubinetto. TU BARISTA is the vergogna dell'italia intera and asked to write an Italian that lives in Germania since 15 years.

Ice Cream Cafe and Ice Chocolate are mostly cream and very little ice cream, which was disappointing.

The waitress automatically increases the bill by one euro without handing out the receipt.

Slightly high prices but the dishes are plentiful and succulent. Fast service despite our large number. Very friendly waiter. Thank you for this good time :)

Yesterday we went to the Bard Festival with friends and enjoyed our food and drinks on the terrace with nice music. We had great service, everything was great!

The staff was very nice and quick. Terrace was fully occupied. True, the pizza was a bit neutral in taste. But I have to say that everything was fresh and many taste buds are used to colorings and additives. I recommend a little more oregano in the sauce and a different cheese.

Absolutely terrible food. Aglio-Olio pasta is no longer pasta, it's just something exceptionally spicy and that's all. The staff was very nice and friendly but the food is terrible. I came home with severe stomach pain that lasted all night. I don't recommend this!!!!

The service completely ignores us (4 people). After half an hour of sitting around without a map, we left. The restaurant was half full. But the waiters had time to chat. Regarding the question about the waiter's name: 1. There were several. 2. I can hardly ask for the name if a waiter never comes.

The waiters are very nice, one of them was even speaking Polish :). I ordered Lasagna Bolognese and it was great, I love how it was served with sauce on the sides so when you dig in it doesn’t fall apart. My friends had Carbonara and salmon and say it was great too

Not sure why so many negative reviews. I didn't eat anything else except Pizza but I have to say that I have never eaten a better Pizza than here. Not even in Italy.

Very nice and inviting atmosphere, you feel like you are in Bella Italia 🫶🏽. The Fiat 500 gives the room a great flair, and the lemon wall is also nice and cozy. The great pasta with tiger prawns and the pizza with anchovies were excellent. Really large portions, which are difficult to manage. Prices are proportionate. Toilets are clean but old. The service is very friendly. We'd love to come back 🫶🏽.

One only needs to look at how disgracefully the owners respond to criticism to support the truth regarding the lack of professionalism and service we faced when we went here. The interior design is quite cool, the view from the restaurant is fair, and the greeter staff were pleasant in seating us. Afterwards, everything went downhill. The waitress came to us and asked us what we wanted. As we started to give in our food order she forced us to order our drinks first. We said alright then, a still water with our chosen pizza and pasta. She looked at us and said "We are not a McDonalds, you need to order more drinks since my boss will not allow me to take your order otherwise". We left without ordering as we wanted to enjoy our evening without putting up with rude service. The fact that the place was quite empty on a Saturday should have warned us that it is not a local favourite and clearly a tourist trap. Probably thought we were tourists and she could get away with saying whatever she liked because we don't look "local". Well, the waitress did a poor job of representing your restaurant and we will never (attempt to) eat here and will not recommend friends or family who visit us to eat here either. At least the so-called "McDonalds" that she tried to insult in Nuremberg still serve us with a smile and don't dictate to us what we as customers should order. A complete joke.

Hello Theo, we were with you today, the food was very, very good, your service was excellent. Can only recommend you!!! Had lunch with my daughter and son today! Pizza Salami, Pizza Capriziosa, small pasta Napoli and Pizza Frutti 👌

Unfortunately, I had higher expectations that were not met. We came on a recommendation. (birthday dinner) The antipasti was very good, the drinks average. I suppose if you just want a cafe or a quick bite to eat, you could be happy there. The main courses were a complete failure. The Spaghetti Aglio Olio was bland and unsalted, far too little garlic (no longer like two thin slices). Unfortunately extremely boring and bland. Also a joke for this price. My 16 year old daughter cooks better. The veal schnitzel Saltimbocca was not seared, it was a pale, limp slice of meat from the steamer. Unseasoned and as if it had just been thawed. Unfortunately the lemon sauce couldn't save it. I have no idea what the kitchen was thinking, but since it was my birthday I didn't feel like arguing and preferred to order another Chardonay. Overall, it's very annoying in retrospect how listless, dreary and miserable some chefs are about what they do to other people. In my opinion, you have failed in your job if you put something like that on the plate of your fellow human beings. The waitresses are all very friendly, hence 5 stars, they can't help it if a chef doesn't feel like doing his job with passion. The location is good, the facilities too. Otherwise there was nothing to complain about. Conclusion: for a coffee or drink, antipasto yes, primo no, secondo piatto: no. Addition 05/10/24: From what I can see right now, you can't handle criticism. Not very professional. After going to different Italian restaurants every week and having a family connection to Italian cuisine, the answer doesn't mean anything to me. Facts: the main course was miserable, period. There's nothing more to say. It's my sense of taste and that of my partner.

The restaurant is very nice and centrally located. We know the pizzeria from folk festivals and were very impressed with the quality, so we wanted to visit the restaurant. We had ordered 2 pizzas and were very disappointed with the quality, the base was so thin and flabby that you couldn't even cut the pizza or take it on the fork. So we definitely won't go to the restaurant again. The operation and service was very nice and polite.

Very unpleasant treatment from the staff. They served locals first and then foreigners. And then they were surprised that we didn't leave a tip. Normal food.

The food is good, but the quantities do not equal the cost of the dish... for spaghetti with seafood €18 but with literally two clams and mini prawns I would have only paid €10. The tiramisu was very good and the coffee too.

The problem wasn't that the waiter had politely asked us to sit down for the drinks first. My mother didn't know whether she wanted to stay here at all; as I said, it depended on whether they had something "small". But the waiter wasn't interested at all, he brazenly interrupted my mother and said in a commanding manner with a serious face and a hard tone: "Now drinks first!" Here lies the problem. A waiter acting like a sultan is a joke. He should know where his place is. But the unfriendliness of their waiters is, as can be seen from the many other bad reviews, a general and ongoing problem. Rein in your brash waiters and don't bitch at your customers, otherwise your customers will continue to run away from you. But once again you won't understand that, I'm sure you'll just hear a clever "?"

Unbelievable but true: We were there today with 8 people and made a turnover of almost 400 euros. After eating and settling the bill, I ordered an Averna... I had to pay an extra 6 euros for this!!! Never again!

Unfortunately, the food was very mediocre, potatoes and vegetables were swimming in oil. However, there was a coffee on the house from the waitress, who was really great and did a great job.

Yesterday I went to Provenza for dinner for my best friend's mom's funeral. We were about 25-27 people. The food was delicious but the staff was very unfriendly. In some cases, some orders arrived late. In the end we were chased away from our table because another large group was coming. It was a difficult day and we had announced that this was a wake after a funeral. There was no understanding of that. This could have been communicated beforehand so that we could reserve somewhere else.

Interesting and beautiful Italian restaurant with a great location. Me and my girlfriend went to this restaurant to have a nice dinner and were satisfied. A reservation is recommended as the restaurant is very full in the evening and you may have to wait for a seat. The food came relatively quickly after ordering (15 - 25 minutes). The service is polite, professional and quick. We ordered pizzas as shown in the picture and were both satisfied. The cheese on my pizza could have just been a little smaller. For dessert we shared a teramisu and were extremely enthusiastic about it. All in all we were satisfied. The price is higher, but bearable for a special evening. Gladly again :)

We were here on February 17th, 2024 with 14 people. Everyone has placed their orders. 4 people got their food almost 1 1/2 hours later (2 pizza margarita, 1 colzone and a pizza rustica). 5 of our people came an hour later and even they got their food earlier. We asked several times where this food was. Every time it was said that it would still take time. Every waitress said something different. Apparently a large order of over 70 pizzas. So I'm wondering how they even manage to figure this out. Very very bad service here. Been here once and never again! My 4 cheese pizza was way too oily. There are much better and cheaper pizzas here in Nuremberg.

The ambience is very good here. But I don't think the price-performance ratio is ok. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. We wanted a window seat but we were denied this because it still had to be cleared away. Our orders were also not of the quality you would expect for the prices. The iced chocolate tasted like nothing but water and the tiramisu also had more mascarpone than anything else and lacked flavor. My wife wanted a café latte. But I was given a coffee with milk as a latte. We don't usually complain much but we were very disappointed with the quality for a lot of money. Sorry, but we have drawn our conclusions from it. There won't be a next time.

I really thought for a long time how to rate this restaurant. Firstly the location is really great. If it's nice you can sit on the terrace. Secondly, the service gets a star deducted because we wanted to sit at the window then the employee said that he still had to clean the table and we should sit somewhere else. I would have liked him to clean it in front of us because there wasn't much on the table and we would have sat there. Thirdly, I got a latte but ordered a coffee latte. I had actually imagined that the tiramisu would come in a bowl or plate and not in a cold glass. It was tasty but from an Italian restaurant and for the price of €6.90 I would have asked for more quality because the tiramisu didn't taste like it should be. At the top it was creamy then a little bit spongey and at the bottom it was soft but rather tasteless. Too bad.

Unfortunately unfortunately very very disappointing. First of all... the only pro for the "local" is the location. Right on the main market. If you have a place on the first floor it's not bad. Now for some cons... We ordered spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti frutti di mare and classic bruscheta. The carbonara came first. Unfortunately, the rest took a long time to arrive. When everything was finally on the table, the carbonara was lukewarm. For my partner, the food was just there to satisfy his hunger. But that was it. The oil on the bruscheta tasted old and tasteless. The tomatoes don't taste like tomatoes. Apart from the fact that the spaghetti carbonara was lukewarm, the taste was not there either. It was a huge portion of pasta, but unfortunately the quality was definitely compromised. Everything was very bland and tasteless. The waitress didn't even apologize for the second dish coming much later. After everything was finally on the table, the waitress was no longer present. Of course we were asked if it was tasty because most of the food was still on the plates. I politely expressed my opinion to the waitress. Unfortunately, she didn't really respond to my points and asked if she could make it up to me with an espresso. I said no because an espresso for 3 euros doesn't make a meal for 60 euros good. She then talked to the supposed boss about me and my complaint, which was obvious when you whispered the whole time and looked over at our table. After we wanted to pay, the only answer from the waitress was: yes, I'm sorry about the tomatoes, we can't get any good ones at the moment. So that was it for me. This isn't just about the tomatoes. The Provenza is no longer just a tourist restaurant. Quality poor for the money and service worse than fair. I remember Provenza from a few years ago very differently, but tonight was just a complete disappointment. I feel so sorry for the money and also the food that was thrown away. But you shouldn't be surprised if the staff or the owner don't respond to criticism at all. Neither on site nor here in the reviews...

Unfortunately the evening was a total failure. First the positive things about the evening: - the view of the Frauenkirche with my girlfriend - Carbonara was cooked without cream Now the predominantly negative things in the evening: - Bruschetta was very soft, the tomatoes on it were very bitter - Our main course was served very late, so my friend's carbonara was only lukewarm - Carbonara had no taste. The bacon used here was totally soft, the slightly crispy bit was missing here (I assume no guanciale or pancetta was used but normal bacon). The cheese used here did not have a spicy note like Pecorino usually gives. - the carbonara was dry rather than creamy -For my spaghetti with seafood, the seafood was frozen. - our complaints were not addressed at all. People tried to talk their way out of it. - My girlfriend couldn't eat the carbonora (the plate was still full) and an espresso was offered as compensation P.S. I'm curious whether the criticism will really be addressed and taken to heart or whether you will receive an arrogant answer and draw attention to the previously positive reviews

Four of us had dinner here on business. What struck you first was the remarkably good service. Very friendly, not fake, quick - perfect. The food was also great: 3 x pasta 1 x pizza - everyone praised the food very much. The view of the main market is also worth mentioning. We were very, very positively surprised! I gave the ambience a 4 out of 5 because you can also sit in a more elegant way - that's the only reason.

Was very surprised to find such a good Italian restaurant in the middle of the city To have visited. As we all know, food is a matter of taste, but the pizzas, salad and pasta dish were very tasty.

The decoration is always a dream! Very friendly service. My special bruschetta was fine, my blackhead's lasagne was no revelation.

Einfach super italienische Küche.

Last Friday we drank two Prosecci in between. The service employee occasionally asked us whether he should pass us some olives - as is customary in Italy. As connoisseurs of Italian eating and drinking culture and as Italians, we were happy to accept this offer and were convinced that we could see it as a “service” from the house. Unfortunately, we misunderstood this. When we paid, we discovered that €5.90 had been charged for around 10 green olives. We are learning from this and will certainly find other restaurateurs on future visits to the beautiful city center of Nuremberg.

Restaurant attracts tourists. The cuisine is not exceptional. We ordered 2 pizzas, one with vegetables. They had no taste. Even pizza seemed better to us. In addition, the dishes are very expensive (13-15€ for a pizza). The only positive point is the view of the square.

One of the nicest Italian food In Nuremberg.

Price performance is not right here at all. The food didn't taste good. 2 dishes had to be re-prepared, and after the complaint it wasn't much better. Even the waitress couldn't explain it but everything went wrong at our table. We then ordered 3 Amaretto, 1 espresso and 1 Ramazzotti. In another restaurant this would have been given as an apology, no they charged 31 euros for it. We definitely won't be coming back.

Were here as a couple, reserved in advance. Great atmosphere, quiet and pleasant. Food was a 10/10, tasted good, was fresh and was completely acceptable in terms of price-performance ratio. Waiting time between courses is also completely fine. Waiters extremely accommodating, nice and not intrusive. 10/10 Definitely recommended, will definitely come back!!
