Cool service, at least in our own perception. Food and drinks came quickly and were ok.

This is a nice restaurant. The food and service was awesome. The prices were very good especially considering proportions and quality. The staff did great with accommodating us only speaking English. Good job!

The two of us had dinner at Poseidon this evening, it was a fantastic evening. By the way, no problem with a wheelchair either. Starter Pikilia, very tasty platter of Corfu, real Greek mocha and dessert Chalwas, where else can you get that. Plus the best, attentive Greek service, and finally an ouzo on the house. There's no better way to enjoy a warm summer evening. Beautiful. Keep it up!

I visited the restaurant once again, expecting good food and professionalism as always. Unfortunately, this time I miscalculated :(. Waiting for the card for over 10 minutes, then again to be able to place an order. Appetizers and drinks were served efficiently. Main course with 3 portions, two people at one time, 3 after 5 minutes... No-Go for me. Of course, we waited for our friend to receive her meal - a cool meal... All guests received Ouzo, we didn't even ask if we wanted... Well, next time I will think about visiting this restaurant again. The food was tasty, the portions were sufficient... but there was a lot missing WOOW, I want to come back here.

Dishes are ok. Portions used to be larger. Service takes a long time to take the order. Very unfortunate. Service and food has deteriorated significantly.

The food would be delivered very quickly. But unfortunately the potato thalers were frozen and not fresh and the meat was also very thin. The facility is also a bit old. We had a gourmet block, so it was worth it. But without it it wouldn't be worth the price to me.

We were here with the gourmet block and each had a mixed plate and each had an appetizer. After we had to wait a little long to order, we were convinced by the food. In our opinion, good quality and very tasty. In line with the competition, the price of eating out has also increased here. But that's how it is now. The service was very friendly at all times. The quality of the food is abysmal and it is a shameful mockery of the Greek cuisine. It is probably due to a menu that is too big for them to handle. They would better redesign a smaller menu with an improved quality. Meanwhile, this place is blacklisted.

Very good Greek. The lamb with beans was excellent, the friends had a Poseidon plate, also very good. Parking is a problem though. Still, it was packed. You should definitely reserve in advance. Update 2024, reservation is no longer absolutely necessary. The food continues to be excellent.

Our stay was nice.My cup was a little bit broken.The dishes are very big and tasty!Some of the waiters don't know that much english,but atleast they understand you and try to answer.I would recommend the Special Gyros. To sum up,the restaurant is very nice,the food brilliant!If I have the chance to choose a restaurant it would be this one.

We were here in a larger group and it was a bit of a disaster: meat, then 30 minutes later fries and rice then 30 minutes later meat again etc. You can't eat like that...

For our large group of almost 30 people (pre-ordered long-term) the food was served as a “combining food”. The meat was served individually on a platter, shortly afterwards tzatziki came upon request, and about 15 minutes later fries and rice were served. The quality was OK but not outstanding and reduced to the minimum of effort without any sauce. The staff was moderately friendly, the apparent boss was rather annoyed. Not even the number of ouzos as “compensation” were served appropriately, just embarrassing. Definitely not a recommendation for your next visit to Darmstadt!!

Typical Greek restaurant with very friendly staff. The prices are a bit too expensive for the small portions, more like pensioner's plates. The taste was above average, nothing out of the ordinary. Bifteki gave us the Poseidon plate to eat

I had a very good meal again today. A Greek chicken soup with bread, herbal tea, mixed ice cream and an apple juice spritzer. As always, it was very tasty.

Unbeatable lunch menu. Excellent price-performance ratio. Update 5/31/24 Unfortunately, the prices for drinks were extremely increased (Hefeweizen 5.20 euros) and the portion of gyros from the lunch menu was significantly smaller than on my last visit.

The food looked good at first, but unfortunately the taste was only average and the salad was a joke. Very large inside and has an 80s atmosphere. The cheapest ouzo was really bad. In the end the waiter had to go for a smoke before he could bring the bill... 🙄

Four of us had dinner last night. We were very satisfied. The food was very tasty and the Greek beer tasted very good. The mocha was also very good. At the end the innkeeper invited us to a wholesome ouzo for digestion. My birthday dinner was a complete success. 👌🤝👍😋😋😋😂👍🤝👌

Food was quite okay. Nothing special, but not bad either. The portions could have been a little larger given the price. The conditions were significantly different. The lady was friendly and uncomplicated. The slightly older gentleman was quite rushed and unpleasantly insisted on a tip. Absolute no-go. In addition, our table was clearly dirty, just a few minutes after it opened. Unfortunately no feel-good factor. And why is the shop called Poseidon when the fish menu is unspectacular and tiny compared to the schnitzel and steak offerings?

We can recommend this restaurant. It's better to make a reservation because it's very busy.

We had a spontaneous meal and were assigned a great table. And a very nice waiter served us. Kudos to the kitchen, we really enjoyed it.

Lunch menu offers aren't exactly bargains, but the portions are quite manageable.

It was a very nice stay with delicious food. The atmosphere is great and the service staff was friendly, attentive and very competent. The meal was a spontaneous enrichment on the return journey from a short vacation in Düsseldorf. Thank you for that. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back

Good selection of food and drinks (including wines from dry to fortified wine), which can also be tailored to your own preferences and tastes. The space can be used to host a large family celebration, which is complemented by an outdoor area in the warm season. I recommend calling ahead to reserve a spot as it can get really crowded!!!

Very friendly staff and good food

The food was good and recommended. When paying, the waiter's tip of 3 euros was not enough, which he made clear with a stupid comment - so the restaurant no longer sees me, otherwise we would have liked to come back.

Originally discovered through Schlemmerblock, now visited again afterwards, which is always a good sign. :-) Very tasty food, the staff is super helpful and service-oriented. Central location, but it is recommended to come by public transport instead of car due to the parking situation in DA. Be careful when choosing your food, changes and extras will be charged, but they are also shown on the menu and are absolutely fine in terms of price-performance ratio. Happy again and recommended!

Everything was fine, we were there with the gourmet block, so we received a main course for free - and even a free ouzo. Food very tasty, service friendly and attentive. Without a reservation (we were there on a Saturday evening) but no chance of getting a seat. We'll definitely come back.

Four of us were here on Saturday evening with gourmet blocks. Despite the restaurants being full (reservation recommended), attentive and unobtrusive service. Delicious food, ouzo on the house and very good Braustübl beer on tap. For 5 stars, the portions could be a little larger.

Just not good. Waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for the food after ordering, the store was less than half full the entire time. The service staff openly refused when we wanted to pay by card. Some of the food was only lukewarm, some of the side dishes were forgotten and had to be requested several times. The starter bread that was initially ordered came after(!) the main course was completed. We won't be coming back.

The food was not top but the service and atmosphere were great and also don’t forget to try wine there it was very good.

There were six of us here as a family on a Saturday evening. Very friendly and courteous service. We were served quickly and well. The food was hot, tasty and just good. As a thank you we got an ouzo on the house. Thank you!

We were there for the first time today... and we were actually very happy to visit this restaurant... but we certainly won't go there again... The portions were really small...we have no problem paying more money for good food if it's enough...but it wasn't enough. But the absolute highlight was that in the end we didn't even get ouzo...like other guests...probably because we were there with a gourmet block... Fortunately for us, there are many other Greek restaurants nearby where people would like to go again and again...

Everything was fine, we were there with the gourmet block and got a main course for free, so to speak. The food, service and ambience were good.

We were here as a group, the female waitress was very nice, but the older gentleman wasn't at all. It took 1.5 hours from the time the order was placed until the side salad arrived, and another half hour until the food arrived. No bread or anything else was put out to “break up” the waiting time. All in all, the food was ok, but for the price, the waiting time and the unfriendly older men, I wouldn't recommend it.

Wir hatten für 19:30 einen Tisch bestellt. Um 19:35 saßen wir dann dort. Um 20:05 sind wir gegangen. Obwohl 2 Kellner zusammen insgesamt 5 mal an uns vorbei an den Tischen neben und hinter uns Getränke brachten, wurden wir noch nicht mal wegen Getränken gefragt. Ok es ist Valentinstag und viel los. Aber das Pärchen hinter uns ist gleichzeitig mit uns gekommen und hatte nach 10 Minuten zumindest ihre Getränke. Wir waren schon öfter dort und es war alles ok. Wobei Freundlichkeit erlebe ich oft in besserer Qualität. Aber ich komme um gut zu essen und nicht um Freunde zu finden. Aber das heute war mein letzter Besuch dort.

We had booked a table for 7:30 p.m. We sat there at 7:35 p.m. We left at 8:05 p.m. Although 2 waiters together brought drinks past us a total of 5 times to the tables next to and behind us, we weren't even asked about drinks. Ok, it's Valentine's Day and there's a lot going on. But the couple behind us came at the same time as us and at least had their drinks after 10 minutes. We've been there several times and everything was ok. I often experience friendliness in better quality. But I come to eat well and not to make friends. But today was my last visit there.

Also, die Vorspeise war richtig lecker, der Hauptgang guter Durchschnitt. Das Ambiente nach der Renovierung ist wirklich schön und gemütlich. Der Service war ein wenig durcheinander, was aber vllt am ständig voll besetzten Lokal lag. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen, um noch ein paar interessante Punkte auf der Speisekarte zu testen.

My favorite restaurant when I'm out of Greece and craving good Greek food. Warm atmosphere, impeccable service. Satisfying portions, cost of dishes satisfactory. Specially recommended are the Spezial Platte (variety of meats), the dishes cooked with Metaxas. For dessert, galaktobourek and raspberry panna cotta. No.1, we will start again.

Das Restaurant hat mir im vergangenen Monat einige Hotelnächte in Darmstadt versüßt. Mega leckeres Essen zu fast schon unrealistisch niedrigen Preisen . Das Personal ist super freundlich Danke für alles Wenn ich wieder in Darmstadt bin komm ich definitiv wieder zu euch. <3

Wir kennen das Lokal schon sehr lange. Das Essen war geschmacklich gut. Allerdings sind die Portionen sehr viel kleiner geworden.

Service is excellent. We didn’t have a reservation, but they still found us a nice table to have dinner. The hosts are real Greeks. The food is amazing, and almost no waiting time. The atmosphere is also very nice.

Ich war schon länger nicht mehr da, waren aber dieses Mal ziemlich enttäuscht. Die Portion (Hauptspeise) ist sehr übersichtlich geworden und geschmacklich sehr fad. Ich wurde als Frau nicht satt und das soll was heißen ;-). Das 1. Mal beim Griechen, das ich das erlebt habe. Preise sind im oberen Bereich, dafür könnten die Portionen auch dementsprechend üppiger sein. Krönung war aber, das wir 40 min auf die Rechnung warten mussten, da wohl nur einer dort kassieren darf und der hatte nicht früher Zeit. Das ist ein absolutes no go. Außerdem war es doch recht kühl in den Räumlichkeiten da.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Alles in allem top!!!

Typisches griechisches Restaurant mit super super freundlichem Servicepersonal. Das Essen ist typisch für diese Restaurants und besserer Durchschnitt. Die Portionen sind angemessen nicht übergroß. Leider war das Schweinesteak zu lange gegrillt, es war trocken und sehr bissfest. Das Dessert war sehr süß aber hervorragend. Das Lamm war so wie es dein sollte, ebenso die Dicken Bohnen . Dieses Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Wir haben uns mit Freunden im Poseidon verabredet. Drei Paare und alle hatten einen Schlemmerblock. Sowohl im Schlemmerblock als auch an der Eingangstür war der Hinweis zu finden, dass man mit Karte zahlen kann. Wir haben vor der Bestellung darauf hingewiesen, dass wir den Schlemmerblock nutzen und außerdem wies ich daraufhin, dass wir getrennt bezahlen. Der uns zugewiesene Tisch stand in einer Ecke direkt vor den Fenstern. Es war kalt. Keine Heizung. Wir wechselten den Tisch. Kalt war es immer noch aber es zog wenigstens nicht mehr. Später entdeckte ich, dass die Toilette angenehm temperiert war. Hätte ich das vorher gewusst, wäre ich öfter mal zum Örtchen gegangen. Auf das Essen warteten wir fast ein Stunde und als es kam, war es lauwarm. Als wir bezahlen wollten, kam die Bedienung mit nur einem Kassenzettel und rechnete für jedes Paar den zu zahlenden Betrag in irgendeinem Blöckchen aus. Zwei Paare zahlten bar, ich wollte mit Karte bezahlen und bat um eine Rechnung. Da wurde mir gesagt, dass dies nicht mehr möglich sein. Nach den Regeln des Schlemmerblocks müsste ich bei der Bestellung angeben, ob ich bar oder mit Karte zahlen wollte. Das war definitiv gelogen. Auch eine eigene Rechnung erhielt ich nicht mehr. Ich nahm aber die Gesamtrechnung mit und rechnete zuhause nach! Fazit: bei allen drei Paaren wurde falsch kassiert und immer zu unseren Ungunsten.

Nun ja, wo soll man anfangen bei der Schlechten Bedienung die wir hatten oder bei den Ominösen BlumenTöpfen, da vergeht einem der Appetit. Abgesehen das die Portionen viel zu mickrig waren, haben die dennoch geschmeckt. Die Runde Ouzo die einem eingeschenkt wird nach dem Essen, kam bei der Bezahlung wie das essen viel zu spät(nicht mitbekommen,von Hören und sagen ;)). Hier gab es meinerseits kein Trinkgeld was echt selten ist, in diesem Falle war es leider gerechtfertigt. Mein Fazit: das erste und das letzte mal in diesem Lokal.

Mein lieblings Grieche in Darmstadt auch zur Mittagszeit eine echte Empfehlung. Die Mitarbeiter sind zu jeder Tageszeit freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lohnt sich immer.

Portionen ungewöhnlich klein (mein Gericht war ausreichend, aber die der anderen waren recht klein. Eine halbe Portion mehr, wäre wünschenswert), geschmacklich ok - da gibt es deutlich bessere. Preis ok. Nur mittelmaß leider. Service allerings sehr freundlich!

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mitten in Darmstadt. Es wurde Brot und Salat vor dem Hauptgang auf den Tisch gestellt und es gab am Ende noch einen Ouzo aufs Haus. Das bekommt man heute nur noch in ganz wenigen Restaurants. Der Poseidon Teller und das Bifteki war 1A und richtig lecker. Preise sind OK und die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr nett und höflich. Ein guter Grieche der immer wieder einen Besuch wert ist.

Ich gehe hier ab und an mit Freunden hin. Das Essen ist lecker( kann Lammrücken und die Mix Fischplatte empfehlen), aber der Reis dort ist nicht meins. Dafür hast du hier einen enthusiastischen griechischen Gastwirt, der auch mal einen Ouzo spendiert. 👍🏻 Leider waren dort auch öfters sehr laute Senioren-Gruppen am Nebentisch, was auf Dauer unangenehm werden kann.

Ein Restaurant, wie es früher einmal war - freundlich, lecker und ohne „Gedöns“! Jederzeit wieder!

Geschmacklich ok aber kein Highlight. Sehr überschaubare Portionen. Der Salat ist aber ein Witz,lieblos auf einem Miniteller. Grillteller war mittelmäßig. Gyros recht trocken und die Temperatur vom Fleisch hätte wärmer sein können. Fazit:Ich würde es zwar wieder essen aber probiere das nächste mal einen anderen Griechen aus.

Sehr leckere Gerichte und wunderbare Bedienungen. Es macht immer wieder Freude hier zu essen und einen schönen Abend zu verbringen.
