I was really pleasantly surprised. There are lots of small dishes, almost like Greek tapas, so I could try different things at my leisure. I especially liked that you write your order directly on the paper tablecloth. Everything was super fresh and absolutely delicious. My absolute favorite were the fried anchovies – perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. Overall, a really great, cozy restaurant that I would happily recommend.

This restaurant is simply amazing! Very friendly service and extremely fast. Everything comes out gradually, and the table isn't overcrowded. Everything tastes great. They even have a Mythos beer! I just wish the daily specials (about 5-6 additional dishes) were a bit more varied. Unfortunately, they've only been serving the same thing for a long time. But that's just nitpicking. I'll definitely be back.

Probably one of the best Greek restaurants I've been to outside of Greece! I didn't know they only served Greek tapas, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. Super tasty and quite good value for money. But beware, you can only pay in cash (at least that was the case during our visit). We'll definitely be back! 🤤

For a mental trip to beautiful Greece, this place is just the thing. Homemade dishes are standard here. I had the pleasure of trying the sea bass, and it was divine!

I was very impressed, starting with the decor, the ambience, and the concept. They only serve freshly prepared meze, so you can order a variety of mezedes here, just like in Greece, and each one tastes unique and delicious. What I found particularly pleasant was the service. The retsina tastes excellent and the meze are wonderful and the moussaka was extremely tasty as was the dessert, Greek yogurt and cream with quince, which was very, very tasty. Why do you do this to your customers? Traveled especially from Frankfurt... Despite a reservation, we were rudely rejected and literally pushed out. What was the reason? The tables are assigned at will and no one pays attention to a reservation or the name of the reservation. That's not how you treat customers!

An authentic Greek restaurant across the board: food, ambience and staff. As on our last holiday in Greece, we focused on lots of different starters to share and try. I would go again and recommend it.

Exciting concept. Dishes are offered “individually”, not as a whole dish. You basically put together your own plate and only get exactly what you would like. Price per dish between €3.8 and €9.90. Depending on the choice of food, a “dish” costs approximately €11-30. Everything can be ordered individually. The method of ordering differs somewhat from the classic, but is well thought out, good and something different. The service is friendly and attentive. Apart from gyros, you can find everything you need for a cozy Greek evening together. We'll be back, Ela! convinced.

Actually everything was right. But as a Greek restaurant, not charging guests an ouzo for food and drinks that cost around 90 euros for two people is remarkable, and reason enough for us not to go there again.

A very nicely decorated Greek restaurant. The ambience is cozy and brings a little summer feeling even on a gloomy winter day. The food is very tasty and elaborately prepared, the prices for the warm tapas dishes are a bit high, but you also have to say that the dishes taste unique and not like in other typical Greek restaurants! The service was great and we were checked on at all times. We would love to come back and can recommend this restaurant at any time!

Unfortunately a real disappointment and an absolute failure! I never thought I would have to write a Google review like this. We ordered tapas to take away. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that card payments had apparently NOT been possible for 4 years?! We were NOT told this on the phone, which is very annoying. It's a shame that something like this only comes to mind when the customers are already in the store. So we first had to go and withdraw money and then picked up the food (completely cold, of course). It wasn't even warmed up a little while we HAD to get money. Unfortunately, the staff service is also not particularly satisfactory. Food was absolutely COLD and soggy :( Pretty small portions and not great in terms of taste, there are MUCH better tapas restaurants in Darmstadt... The alleged sheep's cheese looked like goat's cheese and didn't taste like sheep's cheese either. Me or us can't understand that you can't pay with a card in 2024??? And what disappoints us the most: it was NOT EVEN mentioned on the phone. We will definitely NOT come back and we won't recommend the restaurant! Had to experience it, we were so looking forward to the cozy tapas evening. At least now we know where we won't be going anymore!

The meat dishes were cruel and cold. As soon as we entered, we were informed that card payments were not possible today. This despite the sign on the door saying the opposite. Even when we were consuming the food, according to the motto “Decency shovels it in and stinginess keeps it in,” we were kindly informed that the cash register wouldn't work, so we couldn't print out a receipt, only if we urgently needed it If you need it, send it by email. All of these experiences give the impression that money is being deliberately diverted from the tax authorities. NOT RECOMMENDABLE

Far too expensive for the quality offered. The same goes for his drinks too. As a Greek, I am ashamed of this quality and portions. Better to eat at a snack bar than at a restaurant like this. Forgot the orders several times. Only after asking 2-3 times did you get what you ordered.

Rather inconspicuous and unobtrusive from the outside, but warm and inviting on the inside. The food really impressed me in terms of selection and quality. From the pepperoni and olives to the goat cheese on beetroot, farmer's salad and garlic cream, everything was harmoniously seasoned and presented. I ordered 'grilled octopus' 2 months ago for just under €25. It was delicious, but it was just a grilled octopus arm with vinaigrette and bread... nothing else. I think that's overly expensive.

So for me the Greek music is definitely too loud, it was difficult to have a conversation. The price-performance ratio isn't right either. Considering that a vegetable tapa costs over €11 and you need several of them to fill you up, it's pretty expensive. The tapas all tasted good. It's a shame that you can't pay individually or by card.

Fast wie in Griechenland! Essen sehr gut. Wir waren das erste Mal dort und waren sehr angenehm überrascht von den Tapas. Je nach Hunger kann man sich die Menge der Tapas aussuchen. Nur der Tisch neben dem Eingang war unglücklich vom Lokal gewählt für unseren ersten Besuch (es hat gezogen bei Außentemperatur von -6`C). Im Winter werden wir wohl nicht mehr dort reservieren.

Wo soll man anfangen?! Seit Jahren kann man angeblich nur „heute“ nicht mit Karte zahlen und das in einem Laden, in dem man pro Person mit knapp € 100,-€ rechnen muss. Dafür schmecken die Speisen ziemlich lahm. Dies wird dann durch herzlosen, unaufmerksamen Service gekrönt. Kann ich nicht empfehlen, waren viel Mal mit unterschiedlichen Gruppierungen dort, jedes mal dem Laden noch eine Chance gegeben jedes Mal Enttäuscht worden. -Und nicht nur wir, auch die Freunde, die uns begleiteten.

Es ist immer wieder ein schöner Abend wenn man im ELA mit Freunden Essen geht. Durch die kleinen Mezedes kann man sehr vielfältig Einblick in die griechische Vorspeisenküche erhalten. Tisch reservieren ist auch unter der Woche sinnvoll.

Das Ela! ist ein bemerkenswert guter Grieche, mit dem modernen Konzept des Teilens. Es gab zwar kein Gyros aber das liegt wohl auch eher daran, das Ela! die ausgetretenen Pfade der griechischen Gastronomie verlassen will und den Gästen etwas neues bietet. Der Chef hat Charisma, das Restaurant Charme. Das Zaziki ist hinreißend, das Bifteki ein Traum an Geschmack und Konsistenz. Wehrmutstropfen? Man bekommt sehr schwer einen Tisch aber wenn das alles ist....

Wir sind begeistert! Wir haben schon mehrfach versucht einen Tisch zu bekommen, aber leider war bisher nicht möglich, da immer bereits alles reserviert war. Aaaaaber... am Sonntag, 3. September 2023 hatten wir spontan Lust und uns gedacht, dass wir mal anrufen und unser Glück versuchen, und wir wurden belohnt und haben einen Tisch bekommen. Wo soll ich anfangen? Neben dem Ambiente, welches absolut gemütlich und einladend ist, der zentralen Lage und dem überaus freundlichen und schnellen Service gibt es natürlich noch die Karte, die absolut toll abgestimmt, nicht zu überlaufen, stimmig ist und durch eine kleine Empfehlungskarte ergänzt wird. Das versprach schon mal nur Gutes und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Bestellen kann man verschiedene Mezedes (ähnlich wie die Spanischen "Tapas" nur eben griechisch) von kalten Mezedes, über warme Kleinigkeiten, mit Käse, mit Fisch, mit Fleisch. Für die, die kein Schwein essen (können, mögen o. dürfen) gibt es auch Geflügel und Fleischbällchen oder Bifteki aus Rind. Das alleine ist schon mal toll, da es das nicht so oft gibt. Wir hatten eine kleine Variation aus verschiedenen Dingen und es war alles frisch, köstlich, sehr ansprechend angerichtet und unglaublich lecker abgeschmeckt. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen und empfehlen dieses tolle Lokal uneingeschränkt weiter. Unbedingt rechtzeitig reservieren. Toll, dass es in der Nähe so ein tolles Lokal gibt, mit so einem tollen Konzept. Viele Grüße

Ela! ein Schlachtruf an falscher Stelle, denn hier im Ela! geht es wenn du angkommen bist ganz wunderbar zu. Leckere frische Speisen* (*Tappas ähnlichen) und gekühlte Getränke finden nach Bestellung an deinen Tisch und füllen diesen je nach menge, mehr oder weniger auf. TOLL!

Wir waren mit 8 Personen zum Abendessen dort. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Leckere kleine Speisen zum Teilen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We got 7 people and was confusing eith ehat to order, and waiter just told us to have a no-order meal. We trust him and get more than 20 of different plates, everything is so good and delicious🤤, steak ground meat burgers, grilled octopus, pan grilled pork bellys are especially great! Service was also very nice and kind, shots after meal are really good and helping with digest, 100% worth with the prices!

So wünscht man sich griechische Restaurants, sehr gut. Allerdings fehlt mir ein wenig Variation in der Karte, daher nur 4/5.

Griechische Tapabar/Restaurant mit authentischer Küche und sehr schönem Ambiente. Sehr lecker und in jedem Fall eine Empfehlungen wert. Aber, wie immer bei sehr guten Restaurants, kommt man nicht um eine Tisch Reservierung herum. Sonst gibt es keinen Platz.

Tolle griechische Taverne mit äußerst schmackhaftem Essen. Was mir besonders gefallen hat, ist, dass man sich hier seine Portionen selbst nach der Karte zusammenstellen kann, für den großen oder aber für den kleinen Hunger. Kenne ich so von anderen griechischen Gaststätten nicht, ist bei mir jedoch sehr gut angekommen. Die Bestellung schreibt jeder Gast auf die Papiertischdecke, was ich sehr originell finde. Wer lieber eine komplette Mahlzeit wünscht, der kann aus verschieden wechselnden Gerichten wählen. Beim nächsten Besuch in Darmstadt bin ich auf jeden Fall wieder dabei.
