Porta Restaurant in Aachen

Lunchtime special: chicken schnitzel in pumpkin breading with French fries. I got a chicken schnitzel from the hot plate, half-cold fries, and a couple of lettuce leaves with a lemon wedge. When I asked if this was the lunchtime special, I was told it was. Overall, it was tasteless, lacking in love, and the service was unfriendly. It used to be different.

A restaurant on the top floor where you can enjoy cheap ±7 menu choices 🍽️🍲🌭.

No way is this a "restaurant." This isn't a cafeteria either; it can't even compete with a chip shop on the Bend. I immediately sent back the schnitzel, Hamburg style, because the fried egg was still raw. Not just a little overcooked, but raw, and I hadn't ordered that. They made it again right away, though, which was very nice. Afterward, I was served a plate I haven't even seen in a student shared apartment. The egg was dripping with fat, no salt. The schnitzel was lukewarm with a dry coating. The ready-made dressing on the side salad was delicious. 2 stars because I complained to the cashier and only had to pay for the drink. Excellent service, terrible food.

I've rarely eaten such a bad meal. The fish fillet tasted like a large fish stick that was cold inside. The fried potatoes were very mushy, half-raw, and cold. The onions inside were half-raw. Never again.

What we got for the price was unbelievable. Raw fries swimming in grease, thin schnitzels swimming in grease, and on top of that €2.20 sauce that was half water. It used to be so delicious, but what you get today simply shocked us. We won't be coming back, which is a real shame...

The food was very good. Unfortunately, the drinks weren't really cold. There was a very strong smell coming from the kitchen.

Had duck breast dry if it wasn't from yesterday, so no taste to it, sauce also had no taste, money wasted

Overall, the food has to become cheaper so that there can be more families. Especially at this time, when everything else has become more expensive, you have less money available to go out to eat. One suggestion would be to offer an inexpensive dish every weekday.

Vegetarian dishes have declined in recent years. You shouldn't expect anything other than some pasta with canned ratatouille! The lettuce bar looks awful these days too! Much less choice than about 4 years ago when I came there regularly. I think the dessert offering is the best.

So... since I mainly go to a "restaurant" to eat, I also rate the food with my stars... the positive thing in advance, which has nothing to do with it, the lady who collected the money today was very nice! That's it for the positive :D Currywurst with fries 8 euros... the currywurst is a bockwurst... which just wasn't a hit... the portion of fries was super small and they were 50% so hard that I She definitely didn't want to eat and by hard I mean that the fries break into 182 pieces as soon as you push the fork in... my partner had a schnitzel "at least it's not the worst thing I've eaten" was his statement. I think the schnitzel was 10.90... if I compare it with other "restaurants" the schnitzel should cost a maximum of 8 euros based on the portion size alone, the currywurst a maximum of 5 euros... if I take the taste into account... let's leave it alone the It's not about the fact that a schnitzel costs 10.90, there may be people who like it, but regardless of whether you like it or not, you either have to make the portions so that it corresponds to the price or make the price so that it does corresponds to the portion. We're definitely not coming back

Coffee mediocre. Pastries bad, very dry and little taste.

Friendly staff and customer requests are taken into account

When I read Restaurant, I don't expect food to be kept warm in thermal containers. The so-called restaurant reminds me more of a canteen or cafeteria. The food is of course a matter of taste. For me it wasn't enough to come back a second time. The positive thing was the employees. Very friendly at the food counter and the young woman at the checkout. That was the only highlight. Therefore 3 stars.

Nothing terrible, self service not clean table not cleaned just a nice view.

Not a very large selection of food, especially veggy. Salad mostly comes from a jar. Drinks expensive.

Potato overcooked. Asparagus overcooked with a lot of water. Meat, well Not recommended unfortunately. Others can do that better.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately the portions were very small... Unfortunately there is no breakfast here anymore 😒 The staff, on the other hand, was extremely nice and accommodating! The prices are average, but there are cheap offers every day! So highly recommended for those with a small appetite

Bis jetzt das beste Restaurant in einem Möbelhaus

Wir haben dort mit 3 Personen je 2 kleine aufgewärmte Pfannkuchen und einen Milchkaffee getrunken und fast 30 Euro bezahlt. Das war dafür schon heftig vom Preis

Wenn man hier vegetarisch essen will, ist man hier fehl am Platz. Es gibt ausser etwas Salat, sonst nur Kartoffeln!!! Besuch an einem Freitag um 14 Uhr!!

Wir waren früher echte Fans von diesem Restaurant und waren zig Male hier essen und haben natürlich auch immer was im Möbelhaus gefunden. Seit Corona ist es aber vorbei mit der Auswahl, den langen Öffnungszeiten und den Abend Angeboten. Meine Bowl war ein Salat Witz. ... Sehr sehr schade.... Da wandern wir lieber jetzt zu XXL...... Sorry Porta

Mittelmäßiges Essen. Aber der Preis super für die Qualität. Ist halt keine Sterne Küche.

Schnitzel mit Pommes war kalt! Mehr gibts nicht zu sagen,leider.

Wir waren nach Jahren wieder mal essen im Porta Restaurant. Da war das Essen fürchterlich weswegen wir heute etwas skeptisch waren ob es schmecken würde. Wir wurden eines besseren belehrt denn das Essen war reichlich und sehr lecker. Die Bedienung an der etwas zu kleinen Essenausgabetheke war freundlich aber etwas gestresst. ( kurzfristig viele Leute )

Ich bin öfters mittags hier. Immer eine gute Auswahl an Gerichten. Freundliches Personal, gute Preise.

Sehr gutes Essen zu akzeptablen Preisen. Selten Wartezeit. Ambiente entspricht eher einer schöneren Kantine mit tollem Ausblick.

Frühstücken gut. Mittagessen und Rühreier, lauwarm. Gerichte eigentlich sehr schmackhaft.

Das Mittagsgericht kostet 6,95 Euro. Hat mir gut geschmeckt. An der Ausgabe sieht man alle Speisen und die offene Küche. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Sitzbereich ist großzügig mit tollen Fernblick. Eine Dame hatte ihre 2 Hunde dabei, also kein Problem. Atmosphäre gemütlich, modern und ruhig.

Nette Mitarbeiter, viel Auswahl...ob süß oder was für die Kids oder vom Grill....lecker Kuchen..... Zwischen dem Einkauf, um nochmal alles zu überdenken genau das Richtige denn die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und entspannend...man hat einen Blick über Aachen und kann einen leckeren Kaffee oder Tee in vollen Zügen genießen.... Schlechteste Restaurant das ich kenne in Aachen und Umgebung. Dort wird verdorbene Ware verkauft passt auf Leute sogar für überhöhte Preise für Tiefkühl Ware und NUR Konviniens Produkte(Fertig Ware). Die Wissen wie sie es verstecken können und euch das unterjubeln können. !! Genauso dreckig und unrein ist es in der Küche als auch in den Lagern/ Kühlhäusern. Das bekommt man als Kunde nicht zu sehen. Bilder folgen noch
