L´Osteria Aachen in Aachen

We ate at L'Osteria Aachen today. The food was really delicious. But the service was unfortunately anything but good! The food arrived staggered, and we had to eat one after the other. When the first dish was brought, there was no "Sorry, it'll take two minutes" or anything like that. When the second dish arrived twenty minutes later, there was no apology either, and the food was set down without a word, with a glance at the second, already empty plate. Mistakes can always happen, but to say nothing at all? We would have liked to order more drinks, but the waiters didn't come and were only busy with a "birthday table." We also noticed that other tables complained and food was sent back to the kitchen. When we paid and said that the food was delicious, but unfortunately the service was anything but good, we were just given wide-eyed looks and asked why? It's a shame! We won't be back for a while.

I was short on time before an important meeting, so I mentioned it right away when I was seated. The service was outstanding—friendly, fast, and attentive. My meal arrived in just 10 minutes: delicious penne with shrimp in a slightly spicy sauce—perfectly seasoned and al dente. I was able to eat in a relaxed manner and arrive on time for my appointment. A definite recommendation!

The pizzas were huge and delicious. You can only find pizzas this big for such a reasonable price at L'Osteria.

I visited the restaurant in Aachen – the food is always delicious and tasty. Even during rush hour, the staff makes an effort to be friendly and helpful. I didn't know that you had to redeem your loyalty points before ordering, but the manager was very friendly and understanding in dealing with the issue. I can 100% recommend this restaurant!

We got a seat straight away and the pizza was, as usual, very tasty. Gladly again.

The food was good. Unfortunately, it's always a bit hectic here. This probably led to our bill including food and/or drinks from the previous or neighboring table. It's recommended to check the bill!

Quite ok in appearance, staff not very motivated / trained, large pizzas but little toppings (certainly too little seafood for such a half square meter of pizza). Crazy location but attracts a lot of public. Glad I sat on the terrace, inside it seemed very busy and noisy.

If you're going to make a pizza that large, please serve it on a suitable surface so it can be cut somehow. Otherwise, everything was pretty average. Unfortunately, a bit too loud. Very good atmosphere.

Ordered dinner together and waited 45 minutes for the first pizza, then waited another 12 minutes until the others had their pizzas. The first ones were already cold again and covered in oil. When paying, a 15% tip was automatically chosen. Rip off!

What a ball joint, or at least the waiter. I don't understand why there is a line in front of this tent to get in. Maybe it was because I was alone and therefore not enough in the eyes of the waiter, but Jesus, he was not friendly. I was only able to order 1 drink with my starter and main course. No one came to ask if I would like another drink. I hadn't finished my starter yet and the main course had already arrived. After the main course I quickly saw it and wanted to pay, but no one was in sight. Went to the bar myself and the same waiter came again. No question whether it was to your liking, just “cash or card?” I paid and couldn't say goodbye. Very unfortunate because this tent was recommended to me by the hotel receptionist, but never again!

Today we had dinner with my girlfriend at L’Osteria Aachen – unfortunately a very disappointing experience. I ordered a tuna pizza and my girlfriend ordered a salad without beetroot. We had to wait quite a long time before anything came. Then only my pizza came – lukewarm, not really hot. It took some time before my friend's salad arrived, so we couldn't eat together. And then the salad still had beetroot in it, even though it was expressly canceled. In addition, the cheese in the salad was uncomfortably warm - that wasn't appetizing either. My pizza was completely cold after one slice and hardly tasted like anything. Unfortunately, there was no waiter in sight during the entire period to whom we could have told this. We also had to wait a long time to pay – around 15 minutes. When the waiter finally came and asked if everything was OK, I said the pizza was cold. His only reaction was: "Why didn't you say anything? We would have put them in the oven again." But that's exactly the point - a pizza should be served hot and not have to be reheated later. Overall the food was disappointing and the service weak. We definitely won't be coming back in the future.

The ambience was good, but unfortunately that was the only thing. The service is not the most polite and not accommodating. The food isn't what you expect for the price and I'm unfortunately very disappointed.

Good place to eat out on a sunny day. The restaurant is humongous which is quite different from your average restaurant. The staff was polite but the food could be better. I had carbonara, it tasted good but it didn't feel authentic. My friends had pizza which was really good (according to them). I'd recommend you to book a table in advance.

Unfortunately the waitress spilled a beer on us. Things like this happen. She was very friendly and apologized. But I was amazed that no supervisor came to apologize or ask if everything was okay: my wife's bag and her cell phone were full of beer. We are not angry with the waitress, but with the lack of attention to the guests. The food was good as always. 👍🏻

We've been missing the "Nizza" salad on the menu for a long time now. Since it no longer exists, we don't come anymore. One of the waiters said this might be offered again at some point. Unfortunately not yet. What a shame!

Wir waren an einem Sonntag in der L‘Osteria in Aachen. Wir gingen von 11:30 Uhr aus, als Öffnungszeit. Jedoch gilt das für jeden Tag, außer Sonntag. Das wurde dann ein Thema . Die Bedienung war nicht sicher, ob wir unsere Essensbestellung schon aufgeben konnten, bzw. diese schon in der Küche angenommen werden könnte. Es war ja immerhin noch vor 12:00 Uhr. Wie durch ein „Wunder“, ging es dann aber doch. Ferner fiel uns der Herr fernöstlicher Herkunft auf, der sich die ganze Zeit lauthals mit dem Kollegium stritt. Ein absolutes Unding, vor den Kunden. Nice place with good pizzas 🍕, the staff (you have to be fair here) are mostly students who are missing one or two polishes. Nevertheless, everyone is very friendly and nice. We are happy to recommend the Ľ Osteria.

Ambiance is great, unfortunately a bit too loud when crowded. The service is very nice and always present. The food came quickly and at the same time. Of course, over the years it has become a little more expensive and the pizzas are no longer as generously topped. 4 chicken strips on half a BBQ pizza is a bit small. But the taste is still great

I took the arabiata pasta, spicy without flavor, very fatty and difficult to digest, for a restaurant that claims to be Italian, just basic pasta that is not good, it's not great, but surely people like pizzas of 40cm in diameter, quantity or quality??

Everyone enjoyed the food very much. We were there on a Wednesday around 7pm and without a reservation we wouldn't have been able to get a table.

The best place for meeting people

This time we didn't eat pizza but pasta but we weren't full. It was very tasty but a bit small.

They brought me the wrong pizza at first, but it was resolved promptly and in a friendly manner. Can happen, especially when it's extremely crowded! So reservation is recommended

On Sunday we had dinner at Losteria with our family. We really like it with you. Normally the children can also paint, only this time the pencils were completely dull. The pencils should be sharpened again, but are still handed out at tables, even though you can't do almost anything with them. But the children can also knead the dough and play with it. The service is always very friendly. You can watch the preparation process in the open kitchen. However, yesterday we saw that one of the cooks had her hair down while cooking. You could see that the hair came into contact with the pizza and the food on the plates. All the waitresses wore their hair closed, except the cook in the kitchen. This really shouldn't happen and for the first time it left a bad impression on us.

I've only eaten pizza and desserts at L'Osteria so far, but the pizza is by far the best pizza I've eaten so far, and the desserts are also very tasty. In addition, I have rarely seen such good customer service as at L'Osteria. Even if something is delivered incorrectly, the restaurant admits the error and provides compensation immediately. I recommend it to anyone who wants delicious Italian food. 😊

We had made a reservation 2 days in advance, and when we arrived we still had to wait 10 minutes before we got a table. We then ordered food and drinks, the drinks came within 5 minutes, but the food took more than 40 minutes to be served, we simply ordered pizza so it was not a difficult order. It was also very noisy because there were many people with children present.

We were here again recently. The food was very good, and our service was also great: fast, friendly and attentive. Only in the men's toilet both towel rolls were empty. This time the parking lot was already very busy, otherwise we know it to be a bit empty, but we are generally here at lunchtime. I can recommend L'Osteria Aachen. 👍

Overall it was a nice stay at L'Osteria. The food was delicious and the pizzas are huge. Unfortunately, several dishes from the menu were not available. But the service staff sorted it out in a very friendly and courteous manner. A negative point to note is the noise level when the restaurant is full. Very nice and friendly service. Unfortunately, some things were bought, which was communicated with a delay from the kitchen, which meant that after 35 minutes we all had something to drink. Things were similar when it came to eating... but eating and drinking were definitely OK. It is very loud in the guest room when the occupancy is high. .. the menu isn't very big, the pizzas are huge. The tables are a bit small when four people eat pizza...

Unfortunately, despite pre-ordering the day before and waiting 15 minutes for everything to be picked up. There wasn't much going on in the restaurant itself. Food was for business partners who had to leave on time. They basically only started cooking when I came to pick it up. Not a good organization, unfortunately points are deducted for that. Are a good customer and order regularly for the entire company. It's a shame, but maybe it's time to look for a new restaurant.

The pizza was delicious as always! Our service Safa deserves special mention. She was really very nice and attentive. Rarely have I been served as well as by her.

We were here on a Friday evening. It was correspondingly hustle and bustle. The pizza was the size of a l'Osteria. It's not the first time I've asked myself what the small plates are for and what the blunt "knives" are supposed to do. But: Very nice staff - who can sometimes lose track of things in the hustle and bustle.

We made a reservation and got a good table straight away! It was very busy, but we were served quickly! The huge pizzas with extra thin dough were delicious and each half could be topped differently. The pasta dish was also absolutely delicious and plentiful! The staff in the kitchen were exemplary and very friendly! We'd love to come back!

Despite having a reservation, we were repeatedly asked to wait at the counter. After 15 minutes we were still sitting there, even though suitable tables were available and families of the same size were seated fairly quickly, as were guests without reservations. Despite asking, nothing happened, so we left the restaurant without eating. Why make a reservation if it doesn't help anyway? The service seemed absolutely overwhelmed and unprofessional. As I said: It wasn't the first time and we weren't an isolated case either. A couple also left the restaurant with us without having accomplished anything. They waited over 20 minutes, despite having a reservation.

Conclusion: L’Osteria is a restaurant chain, but it stands out positively from many others. The food is good, if not earth-shattering - a solid Italian restaurant best known for its huge pizzas. The service can sometimes seem a bit overwhelmed when it's busy, but it's still worth a visit to try the famous pizza for yourself.

Like any other LOsteria, the offering is good, the food is okay and the service is OK. And as in every LOsteria branch, it is very loud in the evening. There are plenty of parking spaces, but there are not always enough in the evenings.

Were there on Valentine's Day. Even though all the tables were occupied, the service was super fast. We were served quickly and the food came in a short time. The waiters were very friendly and as a little bonus the pizzas came in heart shapes. The food itself tasted very good. Had a very nice evening with really good organization.

The people are just nice, the pizza is delicious, the whole atmosphere is just great. We don't even live in Aachen, we're from Duisburg. But I have to say in general that the brand really has something on it. Please in Aachen it was proven again. We'd love to be with you.

Großes Lokal und gut besucht, Essen ok - vitello tonnato Soße etwas zu fettig- Nudeln gibt es auch als halbe Portion, die normalen Portionen sind recht umfangreich. Bei den Nudelgerichten hat man nicht den Eindruck, dass die Portion nur für den konkreten Gast erstellt wurde. Pizza haben wir nicht probiert, sahen aber sehr groß und ansprechend aus. Doggybag wird angeboten. Preise normal mit Ausreißern nach oben. Bedienung freundlich. Beim Bezahlen wird nicht imer ein Beleg vorgezeigt, sondern der Endbetrag vom elektronischen Gerät nur abgelesen.

Atmosphere was nice, beautiful decoration, it had good reviews and the place was full for lunch in the middle of the week. However, the Pasta Bolognese was pretty bad, it tasted like pre-fabricated canned-bottled pasta and ragu. I felt sick afterwards. The pizza is large and was not bad, but I'd say below average.

I've been there for dinner several times with friends and colleagues. No matter what I ate - it tasted very tasty! The service is very nice and the atmosphere is very cozy. Happy to come back!

Very convienient to park. There is also a corner for the kids. The kids really enjoy having lunch or dinner there. It could be better for the Pizza. But the salat is definitely good.

Pierwsza wizyta zaliczona 🤭 duży, przestronny i pojemny lokal ( pomieści dużo gości). Jedzenie bardzo dobre. Zamówiliśmy po pół pizzy, pół Margherita i pół BBQ. Miało być dla każdego po pół, a kelner źle zrozumiał i dał nam tylko po połowie pizzy 🤷‍♀️ Dlatego musieliśmy domówić makaron: jeden z pesto bazyliowym, a drugi z pomidorami i rukolą. Ogólnie było dobre 👏 Ich empfehle 💪👏

Pizza is fine. However, there are much better ones to be found in the area for the price. The restaurant is always very full and the aisles are sometimes narrow.

Unfortunately it was now far too expensive. If you don't order extra mozzarella with a pizza caprese, you might end up with three slices of mozzarella on it. A pizza for €18 is not justified. There are much better pizzerias there.

We love L'Osteria! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and what really makes the difference is the very attentive and ultimately friendly staff. There's heart in it and it shows. Always my pleasure!

What was really nice was the friendly welcome. We didn't have a reservation, but we were warmly welcomed and told that if we waited at the counter for 10 minutes, it would be our turn. We got something to drink at the counter, were able to look at the menu, were told again that it would be our turn soon, so that was as it should be. The pizzas were good. Not very good, but good. My wife's pizza could still have been returned because it was slightly burnt in some places. But because my wife was really hungry and it was clear to her that she couldn't eat everything, she accepted it. Only with a pizza costing over €18 can you expect it to fit. My wife had the pizza with Nduja. Where Nduja was, she was very good, but there wasn't much to it. I had a pizza with spicy salami and mushrooms as extra toppings. The salami was really a bit spicy so it was good. I didn't like the waiter's reaction when we mentioned the many burnt pieces of pizza again at the end. I don't expect a free drink or a voucher. But it should be more than a shrug of the shoulders. Otherwise you get what you would expect in a L’Osteria. It's big, it's full, but not uncomfortably loud, you like the ambience or you don't (I like it). In that respect: everything is okay. I don't know whether I'll go there again because I actually prefer the smaller, cozy restaurants and our visit here was spontaneous. But I really wouldn’t resist visiting a L’Osteria again.

Food tastes great. Ambience is also great. Prices seem humane on the menu at first, even when you consider the huge pizza. If 20 grains don't end up on the piece for an extra 6 pieces of pineapple or extra corn for a surcharge of 1.50 euros, it seems a bit poor. But otherwise always worth a visit.

The best pizza I've eaten so far in my life, the atmosphere is great and the staff is also nice and polite. In my opinion, you could even charge more money for the pizzas because you can tell and taste that they are made from high quality ingredients.
