Whenever I go to Aachen for dinner, it's almost always Poga! Super delicious food at super fair prices. The cocktails are always delicious, too, especially when Ahmed is working the cocktail bar! 😜😍 The atmosphere is always particularly nice despite the central location on Pontstraße...but it's best to see for yourself! It's definitely worth a visit or even several! 🤭👏🏻

In my opinion, the best location in Ponte. The food is always great and the cocktails are top-notch. They have a large indoor and outdoor area. The roof can be opened during the day when the weather is nice. The service is always friendly.

Booked with a group of colleagues of around 15 people and then you want a table arrangement that ensures that everyone can sit together. What do they do? A T-arrangement and therefore shows little insight into how guests want to sit together. Then it took far too long before they came to take the drinks. The menu is very extensive and that is usually a bad sign for the quality. Quality was mediocre, but the price was also on the low side so price-quality is correct. Recommended? No, not really because where they used to be able to offer much better quality and service, that is no longer the case.

If you don't have high expectations, you can go. But I'm not a fan of all the restaurants in Ponte.

Delicious food, great drinks, and a very pleasant atmosphere – the Pontgarten in Aachen impresses all along the line. The value for money is particularly excellent. A clear recommendation!

This was our first time at this restaurant, but it definitely won't be our last! The food was great! The ambiance is also very nice. There are several dining areas. One has a completely retractable roof, making this area very bright and cozy.

I'm in Aachen once or twice a year and a visit to the Pontgarten is always a must. Despite the diverse menu, the food here is always very well prepared and very tasty. The quality of the ingredients is always consistently good. Even if the prices have risen again and again in the last two years, the price-performance ratio is fair. I will definitely come back.

Very large menu with many delicious dishes. Large portions at fair prices too. Depending on how busy it is, it can take a while to operate, but the quality is good.

There were so many employees running around and yet we were overlooked. Although we tried to draw attention to ourselves. As we were about to leave, a waitress came to the neighboring table to ask if we would like something else to drink and then took our order. It's logical that when there's a lot going on at the weekend, it's loud, but the TVs with music are also very loud and you can barely hear yourself, so it's inappropriate. When we had our drinks, the same employee came 3-4 minutes later and asked if we would like something else to drink!?! Our glasses were still full... the question was really inappropriate, with the glasses full. It was our first time there and we will leave it at that first time.

The restaurant is located in the student district of Aachen. Tasty food for a reasonable price. It is very noisy. A lot of people make a big deal about it. But highly recommended for good food and a cocktail

Ich war am Samstag im Pontgarten und möchte zunächst positiv hervorheben, dass die Mitarbeiter, die die Getränke rausgebracht haben, sehr nett, freundlich und aufmerksam waren – das war der einzige Lichtblick des Abends. Leider wurde der Rest des Besuchs zur herben Enttäuschung. Auf meiner Rechnung tauchten zwei Cocktail auf, den ich nie bestellt habe. Als ich diesen Fehler ansprach, wurde ich mit einer unprofessionellen und fast schon arrogant wirkenden Reaktion abgespeist – als ob man bewusst versuchte, mich abzuzocken. Ein solches Verhalten ist absolut inakzeptabel, und ich frage mich, wie der Chef dazu stehen kann. Ich werde definitiv nicht wiederkommen und werde jedem davon abraten. Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass der Chef endlich merkt, dass solch unverschämtes Vorgehen den Ruf des Hauses nachhaltig schädigt.

Food was very good, service was quick and attentive... I think you can eat very well here during the week... Unfortunately, we went out to eat on Friday evening. Probably not the best time. Very overcrowded with young people and unfortunately the smell of cigarettes from outside moves completely inside, so you have to air your clothes later... Thumbs up anyway

This was by far the most disgusting thing I have eaten in a long time. The schnitzel was really some kind of leather. I couldn't get through with my knife. It was also as dry as an average village in Africa. And the chicken burger was also inedible and was as tough as the sole of a shoe. In short, it was impossible to eat here. DO NOT GO HERE. I was here today with school and this was the worst ending ever. What a filthy mess here. The restaurant was also very ugly and hot. The coke was also rancid. We arrived and found this plate on the table (see photo). This was also not removed for us.

I had dinner there a few days ago and I have to say it was absolutely great. The pizza rolls are absolutely next level, the original homemade Turkish chicken soup tastes great and my main course was really great too. Furthermore, the price-performance ratio is top. It's just true here. An absolute recommendation.

Leider total enttäuscht diesmal, wir haben immer Verständnis wenn es mal länger dauert weil viel los ist aber 50 min aufs Essen zu warten war und doch zu viel. Auf Nachfrage haben wir uns auch vom Kellner nicht ernst genommen gefühlt. Er war mit den Kollegen am tanzen. Es hat schlussendlich auch nicht geschmeckt. Beim nächsten Mal einfach woanders Aachen hat viele schöne Restaurants…

There is a smoking and a non-smoking area. Unfortunately, the entire non-smoking area is, sometimes more, sometimes less, but so far every visit has been affected by the disgusting air from the smoking area. The food is usually completely fine, but in my opinion it is really affected by the dirty air. For obstinate smokers and people who don't care about the dirty air and smelly clothes, I would rate the Pontgarten with 4 to 5 stars.

There were five of us there. Everyone ordered something different. All the dishes were really delicious 😋 After a little faux pas, each of us got a short one. The waiters very nice.

Attention Drinkers-- if you stop in for just a drink, please note that you will be charged for the buffet as well. The server did not mention it until it was time to close out.

Drinks. took more then 10 minutes, it was very busy and they only had 2-3 waiters so it's understandable. Food came out very quickly and is very tasty and big portion and great value for mkney ( even my American friend thought the portions where huge) Restaurant itself looks great as well

Mix up your food and wait too long

It was absolutely not recommended. Before we could place our order, 15-20 minutes had already passed. Then only the drinks order was taken. Then another 10-15 minutes passed before the drinks were served to us. After the drinks were served, we were finally able to order our dishes. The food came pretty quickly. The starter was ok but the main courses were just bad across the board. The schnitzel was more than dry, the meat on the house burger was already dead three times and the fries tasted sticky. The potato wedges were good. Since pretty much everyone still had a lot on their plate, the waiter didn't even ask if it was tasty or anything. The portions are huge for the money, but now it just has to taste good. The cocktail prices are really great, but unfortunately there was no alcohol. You searched for this in vain. The smell that came from the toilets makes you want to eat again. 🤢 We won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

The first impression when you enter the restaurant is not very inviting, as the smell of the toilets exceeds that of the kitchen. We were a group of 10, we waited a long time until we could order the drinks and even longer until they were served. The food looked very good, but it didn't look good either. The houseburger was already dead before it reached the table, the meat was very tough and the burger bun was cold and untoasted. The only thing that was pleasant was the ambience. Because the waiter had already forgotten his good mood at home. Unfortunately for us we didn't go there a second time, only 1 out of 10 food was good.

The ambience is great, the food was okay, which is of course a matter of taste, although friends of mine ordered the houseburger which definitely died twice and was therefore incredibly tough. My cocktail, a Spain, started to flake after 1 minute and tasted undrinkable. A friend ordered a Long Island Icetea, which was a Cube Libe without Libre. The toilet resembled a train station toilet. All in all, very disappointing and not recommended.

Absolutely not recommended!!! Long waiting times, poor drinks, unfortunately the quality wasn't very good due to the large number of dishes. There are certainly better restaurants in Aachen.

We were there with 10 people on a Wednesday evening. The drink order already took 15 minutes! The food read better than it unfortunately was... I had the house burger with wedges... no one asked how you would like the meat... mine was almost fried to death... which made it a bit tough... my colleague's was just fried to death and tough... when we ordered the second round of drinks the wheat was sitting at the bar for a quarter of an hour. I ordered a Long Island Icetea and I preferred a Cuban one. Overall, only one dish was good and nine were mediocre...if I ever came here again I would order something else...because everyone deserves a second chance...but today was nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first smell you encounter in this restaurant is that of the "washing room", not particularly nice. Everything is really well furnished, hence 4 stars for the ambience. When it comes to service, you wait 15 minutes before you can even order drinks (which are then served after 20 minutes.) I ordered a Weizen, which was only sitting there for 10 minutes and then wanted to be served with a fresh foam crown. After the drink was rejected, a new one was made for me, but the one that was returned was then served to someone else 🤔. The meal (houseburger) was topped with meat that felt like it had been fried throughout on the way from slaughter to serving. After three quarters of the food was returned, no one even asked if everything was okay. All in all, unfortunately not recommended.

I think the food here is really delicious, 😋, (everything was perfect during the meal), but now comes this: I don't know when I was last in such an unclean toilet (almost resembled a train station toilet 🤮🤮🤢! ) and yes, sorry, that's worth deducting 2 stars for me, the toilets are perfect, sticky floor, everything is full of graffiti, and very very thin walls. The main room is relatively noisy, sometimes there isn't enough staff at peak times, which means you have to wait a bit. But fair prices and a large selection, also vegan/vegetarian

Was very pleasantly surprised, everything was great!

I was there on Wednesday last week. I sat in the smoking area. Which didn't bother me. What I found quite sad, however, was the rather inattentive staff. Even though you were sitting right on the aisle, you weren't noticed. After a quarter of an hour they came then someone who was able to take an order. When we asked for a menu we were referred to the QR code. But then we reluctantly brought something made of paper. The food and drinks were brought in a timely manner. At some point we noticed the salad was missing. This then developed into a dessert salad. Apart from that, the yoghurt dressing didn't taste like anything. The grill plate was tasty, but in general the dish was too dry. Given the amount of meat, there could definitely be more of the yoghurt sauce. The bowls are a joke. Maybe we had a bad day. But there is definitely still potential for improvement. The waitress who served us afterwards couldn't iron everything out. She was really friendly and accommodating. I'll come back to be able to make a comparison. Everyone has deserves a second chance. I was there again in November 2024. Nothing changed. I ate a paprika room schnitzel there. The sauce was okay. The schnitzel was in the fryer for too long and therefore dry. The side salad had no dressing, which made the whole thing dry affair. And you can't go wrong with fries. This was the second visit and it was rather worse. Maybe no one read the reviews. You could learn from criticism.

Ich bin kurzfristig mit meiner Frau vor dem Besuch des Weihnachtsmarkts im Pontgarten eingekehrt. Wir haben beide ein Rumpsteak bestellt. Das Steak war geschmacklich sehr gut. Unserem Wunsch, ob wir das Gemüse mit einem Salat tauschen können, ist man sofort und ohne Aufpreis nachgekommen, was auch nicht selbstverständlich ist. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis/Leistung des Menüs ist absolut top. Service und Bedienung vorbildlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Absolute disaster! Our reservation was simply over-reserved and we got space for 9 people even though we reserved it for 15! Sometimes they sat with their backs to each other! They were also simply added to 2 other people! Ordered food! After 15 minutes the service came and we had to order again because of alleged WiFi problems! Nevertheless, two dishes were forgotten afterwards! Food itself was okay! Never again! Pontgarten joins in completely with the rest of the ponte level! Just a rip off!

Wir hatten für 15 Personen reserviert zum Glück haben ein paar Leute abgesagt, sonst hätte es an Platz gefehlt.Es war einfach zu voll,zu eng und zu chaotisch. Unfortunately it was far too full, we were lucky that people canceled with us. Otherwise they wouldn't have been able to offer us enough space, despite reservations. You could also see that a lot had gone wrong by looking at the places made available. Booked and twice We asked about the non-smoking area, but there was nothing available for us in that area. Luckily we weren't so sensitive and were given seats in the "smoking area". The food was different depending on the feelings of the individual people in our group from good to was ok. Price/performance was good! A plus that evening was clearly the staff, despite the sometimes chaotic conditions, everyone was friendly and helpful!

I ordered penne pollo pasta that was advertised as having chicken breast, but I swear I only found two pieces of chicken in it - the rest was mushrooms and peppers! In fact, my food was little different from that of a vegetarian.

Fantastic! I chose the Tortellini Sorrento because I didn't know what I wanted and I wasn't prepared to eat the most delicious pasta of my life! The staff was friendly and regularly came to see if we wanted anything. In addition, we were with a large group (10-15 people) and the food was on the table in ~30 minutes, bizarrely fast! A beautiful restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff! I have to drive 2 hours by car to get here and I will 100% definitely drive here in the future, just to be able to eat here! 10/10, highly recommended!

Pontgarten is always a good address for me! The food has an average wait time even when the place is full - that's a really positive thing. The staff is always friendly and the portions are large, so you definitely get something for your money. The food itself is average to good, but the large portion and reasonable prices more than make up for it. I think it's particularly great that there are always free cocktails on birthdays - that's a nice bonus! I always enjoy being here and will definitely come back.

We opted for the all you can eat buffet at 9.90 Euros which I must say was of high quality. My brother instead took a dish from the a la carte menu, which was also very tasty. Comfortable and well-kept environment. Friendly staff. I recommend it

I've been a customer for years. Really good overall package. Delicious food and drinks for little money. The staff is always nice and helpful. Smoking area in the rear two compartments. This is particularly good in the colder months because you don't have to leave the restaurant 10 times in the evening 😄 Rarely found a combination like this in other cities.

The portions have become smaller, different prices for lunch and dinner, you couldn't make it clearer to customers that you're taking money out of their pockets. When I go to a restaurant I don't want to scan a QR code but rather be offered a menu, so Pontgarten has taken care of that.

We were there yesterday evening for the 4th, and unfortunately we didn't make a reservation this time and wanted to spontaneously go to the Pontgarten; we arrived and were stopped in front of the corner by a gentleman with an unfriendly tone, they made a reservation (no) then wait at the front, why do you just get through if you haven't made a reservation "Sorry we don't know that you have to make a reservation to get Palz, it's new to me" Afterwards we wanted to leave after such a reception, but my companion persuaded me to stay, which was a mistake. Later we got a place at the back and the service was as unfriendly as the reception. So you will never see me as a customer again. I would not recommend this store.

We went to a JGA with you today. It's not often these days that you see a service that works as well as yours. We were able to order quickly and the food came very quickly. We always checked and asked if everything was OK, so we could always reorder drinks. Even though it was quite "full", we received great service 👍🏼 and the food was also delicious. The staff was also super friendly and in a good mood. LG

Fantastisch, echt een parel wat ons betreft. Zeer betaalbaar. Lekkere grote cocktails en heerlijk menu van geweldige kwaliteit. We kregen zelfs nog een borreltje van het huis aangeboden terwijl er mensen in de rij stonden te wachten. Grandioos, gezellig en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

We were there with a larger group, which wasn't a problem for the staff. The food was good, but sometimes you had to wait a bit for the drinks because they just stayed at the counter. Only the nice and friendly Luisa took care of it, even though we weren't part of her table - thank you very much. When we are back in Aachen, we will come by again.
