Very tasty cocktails and food, especially very good for the price!! We had six cocktails for the price of five and were very satisfied :) the atmosphere is also very nice!

I've been there several times and have always been at peace. I was there again yesterday and somehow I had the feeling that everything had been read up on a bit, the service wasn't quite as friendly and the food didn't taste at all like the last time. It's a shame because I actually liked going there. I hope that changes again

The food was better than expected (it's quite cheap). The male waitresses could have been a little more attentive. The young lady alone today was really good. Nevertheless, I left the restaurant satisfied.

We were there with the voucher book. We saw that people without books got significantly better food. My girlfriend and I had different salads where the leaves were already brown. The steak was carelessly placed on the plate. We'll give it another chance, but we won't show the voucher until after the meal.

Thoroughly mediocre: The medallions were a bit too worn out, the waiter seemed absent and bored and the menu was only available as a QR code. Given the size of the menu, it's clear that the kitchen works a lot with convenience, but the gorgonzola sauce tasted more similar to the pepper cream sauce than it should. It's definitely nice for a cocktail with friends, but going out to dinner is probably not your first choice.

One of the cheaper restaurants in Aachen. You don't see those prices in the Netherlands anymore! The food tasted very good! Drink prices are also reasonable here. So this is the perfect place for an evening of drinks! Our advice is that the staff take a good look at the glasses, many of them are not clean. Furthermore, the interior could also receive an upgrade. All in all an excellent price/quality ratio, will definitely come again!

Had lamb skewer, perfectly fried but don't think it was lamb. Salad was watery with no taste. Staff seemed unmotivated. The cleanliness left much to be desired. Don't come back.

It's like this, sometimes like that. Sometimes you have a good waiter, sometimes you have a bad one. It's no different with food, sometimes everything is fine and then it's bad again. You never know what you're going to get. Standards should be put in place so that every visit is good. Even though it's super cheap, I think you deserve good service.

When I asked him about it, he said in a rude tone, "It's the kitchen's fault, not mine," as if it was my fault. My colleagues received the same grill plate, which also had fried tomatoes and peppers (which is usual), which I missed. After 20 minutes, a waitress who wanted to end her shift suddenly came and asked if she could charge us even though we were still eating. She noticed that we were surprised and disappeared. Then another waitress came and wanted to take the plates of my colleagues who were still eating. The service is really disastrous. I will never enter this store again.

The ambience is first class, you wouldn't think at first from the outside, but in the back outside area it was great👌 Rabia and Louiza served us, we've rarely experienced such attentive and uncomplicated service, really great 👍 I can only recommend it 🫶 tesekürler 🫶

Was there for the first time and I have to say probably the last time. I ordered a vegetarian pizza, which wasn't particularly good either. A big negative point, which I think is really not possible, is that there were several pieces of tuna on there that of course didn't belong there. Yes, that can always happen, but in my opinion it shouldn't, especially if you have allergies. Yes, the service was OK, but not outstanding either. A dish at our table was forgotten, despite being pointed out several times. This came a quarter of an hour later than the others. It was quite loud in the room itself and the number of people per table was rather sporty. The person sitting next to me sat more in the decoration between both tables and we would have been better off sharing a plate. What is really positive are the prices. As you would expect on Poststrasse, they are relatively cheap. I wanted to pay in cash, but then there was no change left, then they said I had to pay with a card, but then you had to round it up to €15 because you couldn't pay with a card underneath.....

tonight i went to have dinner with my friends at your restaurant and i got three times the waiter asked us about paying while we waiting for the dessert not finish our dinner yet at the moment the restaurant not even busy i don't understand and feel uncomfortable I would like to know is that normal that You treat the customers like this and why what the reason we when there often but this is the first time they treat me like this im so disappointed anyway your food was good but his behavior let me down!

We went for the match. They show the unreserved table as reserved and seat them according to the customer. I condemn this for amateurism and injustice.

We had reserved, but due to a misunderstanding our reservation was released, UPS.....and with 15 guests! What now??? Only a medium-sized problem for the boss there! He had to step back with his table plan for a few minutes and everything was okay again according to the Tetris model, BRAVO! Poor thing, he had achieved a huge feat with a full house! The food didn't blow me away, it could be a little better. However, the portions are very large. We were there for the EM Public Viewing, the place was packed! And yet, super friendly service staff, we were served very quickly and accurately, there was nothing to complain about, quite the opposite! At 12:00 a.m. it was not only a guest's birthday, but also "our" service person's birthday. Of course we sang a serenade to the nice young lady....sorry for the strange tones :-) We had a lovely evening, recommended!

Gut, Service mäßig mussten die Angestellten "auf Zack sein", es war zur Mittagszeit die Anzahl der Gäste "überschaubar". Der Rest ist jedoch unabhängig ; ein Super türkisches Buffet, das Ambiente mit dem großen Biergarten sehr schön, das Dach was man schließen kann und dazu sehr moderate Preise. Ich war das erste Mal da aber sicher nicht das letzte Mal. Weiter so.......

In some reviews - all over the place - the Pontgarten sometimes comes off very poorly. I cannot confirm this in any way. Well, in terms of service, the employees had to be “on their toes”, the number of guests was “manageable” at lunchtime. However, the rest is independent; a great Turkish buffet, the atmosphere with the large beer garden is very nice, the roof can be closed and very moderate prices. It was my first time there but definitely not the last time. Keep it up.......

The service was very good and friendly. He likes to drink Jägermeister. The food was quite dry and not to my taste (cheeseburger with potato wedges). Overall ok but not actually worth the money.

We had a enjoyable lunch Buffet. The Buffet is currently €9.90 per person including dessert. The food was very tasty and the waitress very friendly and they have spoke English which is always a plus! 😀

Food was delicious. Service left a lot to be desired. Twice I was overlooked and I was almost walked around while I was sitting...The place is very loud so you can barely hear anything. I was charged far too much for a schnitzel and a drink. The waiter simply took my card in his hand when paying... it doesn't work at all. I had dinner there yesterday with my brother and 2 other friends. However, what happened there was a joke. When we sat down, the waitress came straight away and wanted to take an order straight away, even though we hadn't even taken the cards yet. When I told her that we wanted to take a look first, she walked away annoyed. Then she came 3 minutes later and wanted to take the order again. My brother, a friend and I knew what we wanted to drink but hadn't eaten yet, while another friend still had to decide what to drink. She took the drinks from the three of us, walked away and came back 10 minutes later with a coke from one friend and then took the food orders from all of us and what the last one of us wanted to drink. She came 20 minutes later and served me a salad. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes after our food order for our food to arrive. When the food finally arrived, it was very bad... It wasn't even worth half the money, it tasted so bad. Especially since the waitress handed us our plates and looked behind us at the same time. She basically gave us the food and at the same time pulled it out of our hands because she wasn't concentrating on our table. After we finished, a friend of mine and I wanted to go to the restroom and the waitress followed us to the restroom because she thought we were trying to leave without paying, EVEN THOUGH!!!! my brother and a friend were still sitting at the table and eating their food. We quickly finished eating and went straight down to the checkout to pay and leave. The waitress panicked again and immediately asked if we wanted to leave, even though I had already said we wanted to pay. She didn't concentrate on us again, but rather on bringing a single drink to a table and while she was doing the billing she tried to find a colleague who could take the drink away for her. It took her forever to settle the accounts because she was upset that she hadn't found a colleague. I have never experienced such bad service and such bad food, especially the fact that we had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food and the waitress followed us to the toilet... Once and NEVER again... 1 star is still too much or too well rated. You would have to deduct stars for this performance

Been here very often. Many dishes are delicious, only burgers are not recommended because they are very simple and don't taste good. Good atmosphere and nicely decorated. Huge selection, but unfortunately there are hardly any vegetarian or even vegan alternatives. Very cheap price. Always completely full, if you are a larger group you should reserve a table.

Went to the Pontgarten again yesterday after a long time. The food was delicious as usual (if you can get it), it could just be a little hotter. Unfortunately the electronic ordering system doesn't seem to be working, or the waiters can't operate it? At a table for five: an appetizer didn't come at all, a meal with the wrong side dish, two salads without dressing, drinks ordered three times and still not received. The ruckus was that a guest ordered half a glass (0.1) of wine, the waiter gave him half a liter (!) and disappeared! We waited ten minutes and asked twice to make sure we got at least three more wine glasses! All in all, the service was very poor!

I was there on Wednesday last week. I sat in the smoking area. Which didn't bother me. What I found quite sad, however, was the rather inattentive staff. Even though you were sitting right on the aisle, you weren't noticed. After a quarter of an hour they came then someone who was able to take an order. When we asked for a menu we were referred to the QR code. But then we reluctantly brought something made of paper. The food and drinks were brought in a timely manner. At some point we noticed the salad was missing. This then developed into a dessert salad. Apart from that, the yoghurt dressing didn't taste like anything. The grill plate was tasty, but in general the dish was too dry. Given the amount of meat, there could definitely be more of the yoghurt sauce. The bowls are a joke. Maybe we had a bad day. But there is definitely still potential for improvement. The waitress who served us afterwards couldn't iron everything out. She was really friendly and accommodating. I'll come back to be able to make a comparison. Everyone has deserves a second chance.

Didn't work at all. For the main course we ordered a mixed grill plate for two and our guests ate from the buffet. The grill plate was decent. The meat was tender and initially juicy. However, everything here is too salty. Adana was also burned in some places. Wasn't ok. Strangely enough, the various dishes from the buffet weren't that salty or normal. The still water ordered was almost medium water. The service employee was nice and accommodating. Nevertheless, this mission was a failure for us. Therefore not again

Despite two reservations, we were told when we arrived that there was probably no reservation, after showing the confirmation we looked for green ones as to why the reservation was not valid. When none were found, we were told that we had to be patient, we wanted to relax and have a few beers while drinking a relaxed Champions League evening and enjoying the evening, we were seated at such a table that we had no view of the game at all, the cheeky, somewhat corpulent waitress said and pointed out several times that we were "happy to piss off" if we didn't like it , which is a complete disgrace and has absolutely nothing to do with courteous service. Clearly underqualified, unmotivated staff make the stay so unpleasant that I cannot recommend it in good conscience. Our evening was ruined, thank you!

The Pontgarten is a great location with a modern atmosphere. Lots of places, including in the yard. The highlight is the movable roof, so you can enjoy the sun when the weather is good. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, good portions. There is also a lunch buffet at a good price. So far everything is fine, but on the day of our visit it was full and so the kitchen couldn't keep up with what can happen. Therefore only 3 stars for the food.

We have eaten here several times, and I'm finally taking some time to write the review about this restaurant. The last visit was on Labor's day. Since it was holiday, We 4 of us went there for brunch. Unfortunately we found out there's no brunch and was contradicted what's written on the board - Brunch on holidays and Sunday. The waitress couldn't give us the validate reason why there's no brunch, and since we were 5 minutes early before the regular buffet starts, we took her advice, while waiting for buffet, we could have the drinks first. However, we waited for another 20 minutes until all the food were ready. And by the time we got our drink, my cappuccino was cold. The experience of eating there particular on this day was terrible! What I would say about the restaurant in general is that they should work on the quality control of the food a bit more. For instance, sometimes the grilled chicken tasted very tender, and sometimes was too dry, or the eggplants was served in thin sliced this time, and the other time was in cubes. Where are the standards? In addition, I only see one guy who works there in the weekend has sense and skill of serving the customers.

The Pontgarten is a very nice bar or “restaurant” Unfortunately they have now raised the prices. A wheat is now already at €4.30, although the price for a wheat at the bars on the same street is €2.30-€3.90. Unfortunately, food has also become more expensive and charging more for a schnitzel with fries than a restaurant next door is really sad. Especially since the schnitzel here tastes more like a ready meal. Pizza rolls for €7.50 are more expensive than one of the most expensive kebabs in Aachem with a price of €6.50. It's just sad what happened to this beautiful restaurant. No longer recommended for the price!

It's very nice inside. It's comfortable to sit in and it's inexpensive. The food on offer at the lunch buffet is not recommended. If you're not meat, it's absolutely nothing. Waiter extremely unfriendly, acts like a know-it-all but doesn't understand German. If you come to the restaurant alone, it's not a problem because you share a space with the rats that move through the establishment. When we asked if the service knew about the rat problem, we were told "yes, what should I do, it's normal". But women are at least a dime a dozen here, which is why they get 2/5 stars. :)

I wonder how this restaurant was able to get so many points. The owner treats his employees terribly, which is why the whole quality of the restaurant suffers. Also, 2 hairs came out of my salad. We were charged 7 Pils and 3 Kölsch too many! An absurdly high sum with 6 beer drinkers in the group. I visit this place often and it always pleased me with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. The waiters always responded quickly. Ich war schon einige male im Pontgarten essen und es war immer sehr schön, aber beim letzten Besuch war alles andere als schön. Wir haben über 2std auf unser Essen gewartet während andere, die später kamen, vor uns das Essen bekommen haben. Wir waren zu viert und nur drei Personen haben ihr Essen bekommen, ich habe zusätzlich noch 40 min auf meinen Teller gewartet. Danach wurden die anderen drei Teller wieder weggenommen und entweder nur erwärmt oder erneut frittiert. Als dann mein Teller kam, war trotz vegetarischen Bestellung mehr als 10 Stücke Fleisch drin. Das Ambiente war unangenehm und ungemütlich, alles total zusammen einander geklebt, man konnte sich kaum bewegen und musste sich überall durchquetschen. Als Entschuldigung haben wir zwei Cocktails und vier shots bekommen, nicht jeder davon trinken konnte (Fahrer) Wir haben freundlich gefragt, ob wir einen Nachlass für das nicht geschmeckte und falsche essen bekommen, es wurde verneint. Ja es war Wochenende und ja es war viel los, aber etwas organisierter sollte man schon sein und dazu auch mehr Kulanz zeigen. So wurde wir noch nie in einem Restaurant behandelt. Leider war es das letzte mal, das wir dort hingegangen sind, schade.

Wir waren heute mit vier Personen da gewesen und haben unter anderen ein Pasta-Gericht bestellt, der mit einigen Salat Blättern garniert war. Zu unserem Entsetzen war unter dem Salat ein wirklich sehr großes durchsichtiges Plastikteil gut sichtbar „garniert“. Die einzige Reaktion der Bedienung, die von uns sofort darauf aufmerksam gemacht worden ist, war „Oh“ !! Es folgte keine Entschuldigung, Es ist einfach nichts passiert und das finde ich sehr, sehr schade. Es wurde nur wirklich wortlos ein neuer Teller hingestellt. Obwohl das Essen bis jetzt wirklich lecker war und wir schon sehr oft dort gewesen sind, werde ich mir das wirklich gründlich überlegen, ob wir bei solchen negativen Erfahrung und den fehlenden Interesse der Mitarbeiterinnen noch mal dort essen gehen möchte. Sehr sehr schade.

Wir waren zu dritt wollten was zum Essen bestellen und ich wollte auf meine Pizza Ananas und Jalapeños Auf die Hälfte haben aber der junger Mann hat die Bestellung nicht angenommen aufgrund, dass er alles im Tablett nicht markieren kann und war unfreundlich trotzdem haben wir ganz normale Pizza bestellt und alles ich die Pizza bekommen habe, hatte ich keine Jalapeños drauf gehabt.
