We visited Pommes Imperium for the first time today and were thrilled! The currywurst with fries (small for €7.00) was absolutely delicious – the fries were crispy, the sausage was perfectly seasoned, and the portion was absolutely generous. It was accompanied by a cool, perfectly served Kölsch beer. The place has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, and service is quick and friendly. Great location on the Heumarkt, ideal for a break while strolling through the city. We'll definitely be back!

A pleasant surprise right in the city center: the food was delicious and, above all, the prices are among the lowest you'll find in the city. It's one of those places that stands out for its excellent value, ideal for eating well without spending too much. Without a doubt, a highly recommended option if you're looking for something simple, tasty, and affordable in Cologne.

We were on the lookout for the best currywurst in the center of Cologne and we may have found one. The lady behind the counter was so nice. She knows English and we had a pleasant chat. Soft sausage, with creamy curry sauce (we went for the sweet one). Decent prices. A good afternoon snack in between bar hopping. If you’re lucky, you may see a random crazy person shouting at the air which seems common in Cologne… certainly entertaining. We’ll be back for another currywurst soon!

Delicious fries and great sauces. The service is super friendly! You can sit outside on high chairs at the edge of the Heumarkt. Very relaxing!

We pre-ordered 5 kg of fries here with a special needs class without any problems. They were ready on time, delicious red and white fries, and super friendly service!!! We'd be happy to go again!

The food was very good and quickly prepared. The chef accommodated the fact that we didn't speak German, and we were able to order in English. The value for money was incredible. We ordered two large currywursts for €16 with an extra €1 for the sauces, which were very generous.

Super unfriendly staff and totally unprofessional. I ordered a currywurst fries with a portion of sauce and onions. When I asked for extra curry powder, the cashier immediately became unfriendly, and when I asked for a little more sauce, I was immediately treated unfriendly. The onions were also forgotten and €9 for a currywurst fries is really a lot. In addition, the fries were only fried just enough so that they were still pale and soft. Same with the sausage, still very pale. I originally ordered take away but that was ignored. And since, in order to save money, one package can be easily made into two by removing the lid, it was also a real spectacle to use. And I had to fight over the bag too. Overall my experience was really bad and I wouldn't voluntarily eat there again.

Fries are small and not crusty. Quite expensive as well. It says "Belgian" fries, but I think Belgians wouldn't appreciate.

The woman behind the counter who works shouldn't have had any desire to serve normally and well with her buttocks on the counter where normal food is prepared is a no go the way she then trespasses on me and others is well clean is different .and the extra extra spicy sausage isn't spicy at all, unfortunately that's pure disappointment for children!! I wanted something with 🔥 but unfortunately that wasn't it. I'd rather go and eat a kebab with chili flakes, I get more out of it and have fun.

Sausage cold and fries not cooked through or in old fat. Wanted to eat take away... Fries were fried for 3 minutes and then wrapped up. Unfortunately it wasn't edible...

Well, unfortunately that was nothing. Fried fries again and the sausage in the middle was lukewarm. Service was nice. I chose the snack bar because of the good reviews. Unfortunately a mistake. A pity…

We were in this place on March 25 and it all started with the fact that we were trying to find a place to eat German sausages and we couldn't find them and after asking 3 people we found this place when we went in there it smelled very strongly of old oil and the seller was not wearing gloves but we didn't pay attention to it and started ordering, we ordered two different sausages, the seller gave us two identical ones, we told him that we wouldn't buy the second sausage because we didn't order it, we ordered another sausage, and the seller began to rudely explain to us that we should buy the , that we do not order, and after 5 minutes of arguing, the seller tore the sausage out of his hands and smeared his jacket with mustard, shouted Bye Bye and threw the sausages into the trash

Perfect for a midnight Currywurst. Busy and small but they serve a great curry- und bratwurst. Unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of it because it was late and I was hungry. For chopping up the currywurst they have built their own machine. A very ingenious tool and fun to see at work.

I went there with my sister today, we ordered two Bratwurst and two Klein portions of Pommes, the food was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

€9.50 for a currywurst, fries, mayo and a can of cola is steep, but it would still be OK if the products were right. Unfortunately they don't! The portion of fries was small and the currywurst was rather mediocre. The curry sauce was just sour and a huge disappointment after the good reviews. Definitely not recommended and at that price it's almost a disgrace.

Ich hatte eine große Pommes. War halbwegs ok wenn man Hunger hat, mehr aber auch nicht. Wurden bei Bestellung nochmal kurz ins Fett getaucht, dementsprechend kross und relativ trocken waren sie auch. Sorry, aber da erwarte ich echt mehr. Die Bedienung war aber sehr freundlich.

Ne, sorry... Eine große "Pommes Spezial" die so groß ist wie eine kleine Pommes für 4,70€ die nichtmal schmeckt. Kann man sich selber denken 👀 (Pommes Spezial in Anführungszeichen, weil Tomatenketchup nicht auf eine Pommes Spezial gehört)

Eine richtig gute Currywurst, nettes Ambiente direkt in der Innenstadt und einer super Typ hinter der Theke. Also wenn ich wieder mal ne Wurst will, dann auf jeden Fall hier… Die Schärfe kann man wählen und hat auch richtig Dampf!!!

Des currywurst avec des frites, à emporter. Un peu cher pour ce que c'est. Si tu veux de la sauce avec les frites tu dois payer un supplément de 50 centimes. Les frites sont basiques et fades. Petite déception pour une adresse qui semblait bien notée..

Schlimmstes nur vorstellbares Erlebnis! Der Laden wirkt sehr unsauber, an vielen Stellen scheint Hygiene nicht bekannt zu sein. Der Service ist so was von unfreundlich das man kaum Worte dafür finden kann. Die Speisen passen sich diesem traurigen Gesamtbild an - man kann nur jedem/jeder Abraten dort überhaupt nur ansatzweise einen Fuß hinein zu setzen.

Ekelhaft!!! In vielen Ecken total verschmutzt, schlimme Zustände. Das Personal ist so was von unfreundlich dass es zum Kotzen ist. Solche Menschen darf man einfach nicht in ein Dienstleistungsgewerbe lassen. Das macht die ganze Branche und die ansonsten guten Betriebe am Heumarkt kaputt. Der Inhaber sollte schnellstens anderes Personal einstellen oder seinen Job lieber aufgeben.

War früher öfters dort, mittlerweile gehe ich nicht mehr so oft dorthin Leider schmecken mir Currywurst mit Pommes nicht mehr so die Currywurstsoße ist nicht mein Geschmack hat was nachgelassen und die Mayonnaise ist so fest von der Konsistenz die Pommes sind gut. Service ist freundlich und Nett

Ui - der Name Pommes Imperium verpflichtet eigentlich. Es kamen lauwarme Fritten, die schon länger in der Wanne lagen und die kleine Frittentüte war so voller Soße, dass mein Sohn die erst abtrinken musste, um an die Pommes zu kommen. Nie wieder. Leider.

Unfreundlicher Typ hinter der Theke der ausm Fenster rausbölkt ob eines vermeintlichen Nicht Gastes. Hätte man besser lösen können. Daher einmal und nie wieder.

The Best in Town ! Nach Auslandsaufenthalten zieht es mich zuerst zum Dom und dann direkt zum besten Imbiss Kölns. Tolle frische Ware und geniale Soßen. Super freundlichenes Personal. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Die Pommes frites sind sehr weich, mit den Name „Pommes Imperium“ könnte man etwas besseres erwarten. Der Service, den sie uns bieten, ist schnell.

Ein kleiner Laden, der nur ein paar Stühle davor stehen hat. Also eher am besten einfach die unglaublich gute Portion Currywurst und Pommes nehmen und weiter schlendern. Die Menschen verstehen was sie machen, die Pommes waren auf den Punkt und die Currysauce richtig gut gewürzt. Wunderbar :)

Des Öfteren muss man hier lesen, dass die Geschäftsführung durch ihr Verhalten negativ auffällt. Leider muss ich das heute wieder bestätigen. Die einfache Frage nach Einpacken sorgte für sehr negative Reaktionen. Als ich die Frage zurückzog und unverrichteter Dinge gehen wollte rief man mir Sprüche hinterher wie "Geh doch woanders hin" und "Am besten direkt zu McDonald's". Auf die bezahlten Pommes habe ich dann einfach verzichtet. PS Auch Kommentare zu dem bewussten Ignorieren von Corona Vorgaben in der damaligen Lockdown Zeit kann ich aus eigener Erfahrung bestätigen.

Fritten sind super und ergeben eine ordentliche Portion. Die Wurst ist Mega und man kann diverse Schärfegrade bestellen. Das Personal ist geduldig und findet auch im größten Trubel noch Zeit für ein paar nette Worte oder einen lockeren Smalltalk. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen und immer wieder gerne!
