Pommes Freunde in Erlangen

It was our first time there and the overall impression was good. The food was very good and I can't fault the service either. We'll be back!

I drove here all the way from Bayreuth, 1000/10, such good, juicy smash burgers and very, very crispy, delicious sweet potato fries. The sauces are varied and very tasty. The cheese sauce is very rich. 10/10!!

The place is bottom-of-the-line. Restaurant prices for real slobs. "It tastes good" is no excuse for: Bad service. I'm not understood, and my requests are misunderstood. The fact that I successfully got a vegetarian meatball is a miracle in itself. However, my request for thick fries was misunderstood several times with nods. Mediocre fries and sauces, of which only ketchup and mayo are seriously usable for the fries. And all this at exorbitant prices. My God, the cheese on the chili cheeseburger isn't even melted. Shame. You'd think burgers and fries can't be messed up. Wrong.

You pay restaurant prices to sit in a dump full of kitchen noise and loud murmuring, only to get your order messed up by a cashier that understands neither English nor German, to eat fries that are identical to what they sell at McDonald's with 6 sauces that would go well on burgers and are fundamentally incompatible with the taste of fries, and a chili cheese burger that relies on slices of cheese instead of the chili cheese sauce (???) I could double the money I paid here to eat haute cuisine at "Grauer Wolf" or halve it to get a menu at Burger King, both are vastly better experiences.

I ate there today. The fries were actually good, but the ketchup was already rotten; it had already formed bubbles. Simply disgusting.

We actually had a good impression when we walked into the restaurant; there were lots of vegan options and the sauce selection was great. However, we were pretty disappointed. They only had sweet potato fries left (almost 2 hours before closing time) and we still had to pay the extra for them. On top of that, my vegan hot dog was almost certainly a meat sausage! I think that's absolutely not right. A restaurant has to pay attention to customers' orders. What if I have an allergy or something similar, will that just be ignored?! The service was simply terrible! While we were eating in the restaurant, we saw a father come in with 4 children. It took 15 to 20 minutes for the children to choose what they wanted. The servers stood right in front of the family and I can't imagine they didn't notice. When the family finally wanted to order, 90% of the menu was no longer available and the family had to go somewhere else. Can't you tell when the family starts arguing about what they would like? And there was still over an hour until the restaurant actually closed. The family wasn't the only one where this happened; we saw several customers who spent a long time thinking about what they wanted while the server listened, and then mentioned when ordering that there was only one dish left. At one point the two servers present even went out to smoke together without anyone else staying in the restaurant. I am so shocked by my experience there that it was only now, a few days later, that I became angry and simply had to write this review! It's a real shame, but in future I will avoid the restaurant and advise my friends not to eat there either.

We ordered normal fries with guacamole dip there. The food looked good but unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. Unfortunately the fries are very dry and tasteless and the guacamole didn't taste like much either... The food was also relatively expensive.

Service was nice and quick, the atmosphere was good... but you could get a currywurst for children for 11.45. The hamburger comes with paddy and gravy and nothing more.

Unfortunately, not good at all... Appearances were deceiving. The food looked great and fresh, but my plant-based chicken burger tasted like fish, which was very odd. The patty had a strange texture and even looked like fish—complete with a strange gray "lump." I don't know what they gave me there—I couldn't eat any more. Besides that, the vegan nuggets were dry, and the cheese sauce also had a strange aftertaste. It's a shame; we were excited to try something new. Not exactly recommended, but perhaps they'll take the reviews to heart and make improvements.

The sauces are really awesome and so are the loaded fries. But everything is quite expensive and the service is often quite slow, especially at peak times you have to bring your time.

I had ordered something. Nothing was right, no phone number. So went there. Zero insight. Never again! 30 euros for the bin! These guys don't speak German! Something like that should be closed!

Went there as a couple and had a burger and once Loaded Fries Guacamole. Firstly, the prices are way too expensive for a shop of this type and secondly, the food didn't taste like anything. A shop that only sells fries and some of them are still cold and don't taste good... difficult. In addition, there were no chopped tomatoes on the fries, but rather such large pieces that we put them aside and didn't eat them. Disappointing and not recommended!

Never seen such small burgers that cost so much. I'm not fat, but I can easily eat 2 loaded fries and 2 burgers. And I'm still not full afterwards. The portions are significantly too small for the price charged here, which borders on a rip-off. With 2 loaded fries and 2 burgers you're around €40, but I can easily buy twice as much at Megges. You have to imagine that for what they charge for a burger here, you can get a complete menu at Megges. I'm definitely not going to eat there again. Really disappointing, given the prices you might expect that the products would somehow taste particularly delicious, but unfortunately that's not the case. On the contrary, the classic run-of-the-mill street burger with a bit of cheese sauce is sold here at overpriced prices. If you eat here, it's your own fault. 🤣

No service and never again! I was at the arcade, my little daughter was hungry, so she got fries. The price was very high for fries, but when the child is hungry, they make exceptions. We stood in line, were noticed, but not greeted, ignored, and certainly not served. The line kept getting longer. There were a few people behind the counter who were already waiting behind us. Unacceptable behavior, if you can even call it behavior. There's no service behind it. Besides, charging so much money for the awful atmosphere and a few fries is audacious. Then at least outstanding service would be worth the money. So back to the parking garage, then to McDonald's, where we were served. They're not "friends" of fries for me. I won't be seeing them again.

Something is always wrong. Most of the time, all problems are due to service. And it's not about specific employees, but about the system as a whole. Because of this, customers buy far less than they could. And even now, at exactly 8:00 p.m., the store has been closed for a long time, the display boards are off, the counters and furniture have been dismantled. The entrance says it's open and that it's open until 9:00 p.m. And it's like this all the time. People are changing, the staff aren't trained.

First of all: I love fries friends, BUT here in Erlangen the service and the staff are noticeably getting worse. Most recently I had a torn currywurst with a ridiculously small portion of fries... and that's supposed to be worth 9 euros??? My friend's fries were served cold. I also see that some of the staff are overwhelmed and take far too long. Yes, it's a shame, I really hope it gets better...

When ordering, they simply forgot fries and swapped the ingredients. On top of that, the staff was very rude. It's also overpriced. First and last time. Save your money.

Absolutely outrageous!!! Customers in front of us returned their burgers because, contrary to their order, it was made with bacon. We ordered a burger with bacon, among other things. In short, we got the cold burger after the others had already had theirs. We also ordered fries as a second order, and they only got plain ones. I've been here several times, but lately I'm no longer satisfied. There is a lack of transparency in the opening times: on the door on site the times are Mon-Thurs until 9 p.m., Fri-Sat until 10 p.m. However, on Google they are listed as 8 p.m., and on the arcade website it says until 10 p.m. Unfortunately, I've already had to experience three times that the shop was closed at around 8 p.m. even though I wanted to get something. Please ensure clear and consistent information about opening times. The food is otherwise okay, a little better than average fast food chains, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Food was decent, but service very poor. Were just throwing food at an employee. Talking and shouting very loudly. There was no one in the shop so we picked up the food ourselves. Very bad. Even when we left, there was barely a goodbye. Never here again.

**Worst customer service ever!** I recently went to Fries Friends and had a terrible experience. The alleged boss was incredibly unfriendly, arrogant and condescending. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and cannot be shown in front of customers. She should be fired immediately or they will lose all their customers. I also read the other reviews on Google and they are just as bad. Please do yourself a favor and kick this person out!

We wanted to go out for something to eat at 6 p.m. on April 2nd, 2024, and when we entered the store we were looked at in a condescending and rude manner. Unfortunately, the large table was occupied and so we asked if we could push two other tables together. The first answer was: No, we won't do it. I then said, no problem, we would do it ourselves. Answer to that: You have to go back to the way it was afterwards. In a loud and absolutely cheeky tone. Then the lady looked at her colleague, gossiped about us, rolled her eyes and made derogatory gestures. Then I went and said, sorry, it doesn't work that way. Apparently the store thrives on poor service and has no problem with 5 people leaving without ordering anything. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience with this restaurant. The food is expensive but really tasty. A month ago I went to Pomess Friends for the first time and ordered a hamburger from the menu. I asked about the sauce for the fries (the sauces are free for everyone and a little further from the cash register, but since it's my first time there, I didn't know that). The waitress looked at me so ugly and surprised and made faces while I ordered. She told me to repeat the order, which I did. She still felt uncomfortable and asked me if I knew where I was from. Present in City Center, inside the Arcaden this has got friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Food is good quality if you are up for fries and some burgers. Has a great selection of free sauces to choose from in the store.

We were guests at the Fries Friends for the first time on February 9th at 7:00 p.m., unfortunately there was a very rude, unmotivated and annoyed lady at the checkout who explained to us in no uncertain terms that we could only get fries to go , since it's almost the end of the day and she has to clean now. I would definitely have understood if the lady had explained it to me in a normal tone. Second attempt on February 21st at 6 p.m. because we saw from outside that another lady was on duty at the cash register. Unfortunately the same thing again, the lady was unfriendly, impatient, unmotivated and annoyed. You don't have to go through that as a customer!! Today I visited Fried Friends for the first time. Unfortunately, the woman at the service was very unfriendly, very annoyed and whispered to herself. As for hygiene, I had to ask them to wipe the table because it was full of sauce from the customer in front of me. There was also an eyelash in my fries. I definitely don't recommend it, spend your money somewhere else. Was my first and last visit there. Never again.

Fries ice cold (old fries were given) Wait staff is a disaster, instead of taking care of the customers, they prefer to chat among themselves. Afterwards, WhatsApp messages are simply written to the cell phone and the customer continues to wait. I've never seen such unfriendly operating staff anywhere and I can't count on them either. Change was given out €1 less. After I asked, €1 was given back but without an apology. Definitely never again.

I was here for the first time today. Cashier didn't seem to have been doing the job long but it wasn't a problem. The real problem was that I paid €35 ​​for two frozen patties!!! For the price you would think that these are homemade patties. It's really cheeky. If I wanted something like that I would go to McDonalds and pay a fraction of the price. In addition, the paper bag was so cheap that when I was carrying it, it simply tore away at the bottom and my fries and my drink were lost. The burger survived because it was well wrapped. Unfortunately it wasn't such a nice experience. Don't think I'll visit the store again.

Qualität lässt leider nach ... die ersten Bestellungen immer Top gewesen. (Auch wenn die Portionen unverschämt klein für den Preis sind.) Mittlerweile kommt die Currywurst extrem Pikant an mit irgendwelchen zusatz Gewürzen das man sich den Mund halb verbrennt. So macht essen kein Spaß. Wurst Qualität 1:1 Yormas nur dort kostet sie 3 € & guter Geschmack. Muss jeder selbst wissen wie man mit Kunden umgeht. :)

Wir hatten eine classic Currywurst und einen chili Cheeseburger beides geschmacklich echt gut vor allem die toppings bei der Wurst. Bei der Curry-Sauce ist geschmacklich Spielraum nach oben, aber das ist objektiv Auch das sämtliche Soßen zum gratis nehmen und probieren waren fanden wir sehr gut so konnte jeder das probieren was er wollte. Einzigste Kritikpunkt wäre wenn zum Getränk auch ein Glas Becher etc. Bekommt nicht jeder trinkt gern aus Flaschen.

Sehr enttäuschend! Wir waren schon sehr gespannt auf das Essen, da ja auch sehr viel Andrang war. Doch die Erwartungen waren zu hoch! Lange Zubereitungszeit! Das Burgerfleisch war nur ein Drittel so dick wie abgebildet! Die Pommes fad, teilweise nicht richtig durch und fast nicht gewürzt. Soße gab es keine! Das Personal gönnte sich ne Pommes während dem Essen machen oder war einfach für längere Zeit nicht anwesend oder checkte noch nebenbei das Handy! Einmal reicht!

Das Essen ist völlig in Ordnung und auch preislich ok. Besonders gut gefielen mir die täglichen Angebote. Der Service könnte schneller und gründlicher sein. Kassenzettel gab es nicht und über die Pfandgebühr wurde auch nichts gesagt. Außerdem könnte man deutlich an Verpackungsmüll sparen, zum Beispiel indem man die Dips nicht in Einwegplastik anbietet.

Das Essen wurde leider teilweise als 100% glutenfrei deklariert, nach dem Essen ging es mir als Zölliakiepatient leider nicht so gut. Nachdem ich die Inhaltsstoffenliste gezeigt bekommen habe, stellte sich leider heraus das bei den meisten als 100% glutenfrei ausgeschrieben Artikeln doch Gluten enthalten ist (meistens als Spuren)

Ich kannte Pommes Freunde vorher nicht. Da ich seit Den Niederlanden Pommes verwöhnt bin vor allem bei den Saucen, wollte ich es probieren. Dicke Pommes mit New York Hot Dog. Die Pommes waren sehr lecker. Der Hot Dog hatte meines Erachtens ein grösseres Bun vertragen, aber war auch super lecker. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. 8 Saucen zur freien Auswahl bei Selbstbedienung. Ich komme wieder 👍🏼 P.S beim gehen bemerkte ich eine Sonnenbrille mit Pommes Freunde Aufdruck. Auf Nachfrage was sie kostet, bekam ich eine Geschenkt. Danke Pommes Freunde 😎

Pommes waren gut & die Soßen sind echt ne willkommene Abwechslung zum Standard-Ketchup, vor allem die Pfeffersoße ist sehr gut. Freundliche Mitarbeiter runden den Besuch super ab und man kommt gerne wieder.

Die Kette war mir schon länger aus München bekannt, also war ich sehr erfreut, als eine neue Filiale in Erlangen eröffnet wurde. Das Restaurant war klein, gemütlich und durch die großen Fenstern gut beleuchtet. Das Personal war freundlich, aber überarbeitet. Die vegetarische Auswahl ist wirklich vorbildlich und vielfältig. Bestellt habe ich diesmal den vegetarischen Chicken Burger und dicke Pommes. Der Burger war sehr saftig dank reichlich Sauce, die dicken Pommes waren gut gewürzt und es gab eine gute Auswahl an leckeren Saucen. Zusammengefasst: Es bleibt eine Fast Food Kette, aber definitiv eine empfehlenswerte.

Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Service. Es wird auch alternatives Fleisch wie Geflügel(sogar Halal) und auch Vegan angeboten. Die Tische sind leider nicht so sauber. Das Essen ist zwar 3,5-4/5, aber viele Soßen zur Auswahl. Das Preis-Qualität-Verhältnis angemessen, es könnte ein bisschen besser in Qualität(bzw. Geschmack) werden.

Thematisch passende Einrichtung, auch sauber gehalten. Nette Begrüßung und allgemein ein wirklich freundliches Personal. Essen (für 4 Personen) ist schnell fertig und schmeckt auch sehr lecker. Sehr empfehlenswert und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste mal!

Völlig überteuerte Currywurst mit Pommes. Wir hatten eine normale und eine vegane Currywurst, dazu normale Pommes und Süßkartoffelpommes, zwei Getränke, 25 Euro. Die vegane kostet 50 ct Aufpreis, die Süßkartoffelpommes 2 Euro Aufpreis. Vor allem finde ich die Bezeichnung Currywurst-Menü eine Frechheit, wenn das nur die Wurst und die Soße umfasst, denn die Pommes kosten ja extra. Ambiente wie für einen Imbiss üblich, lieblos und aufs schnelle Essen ausgelegt. Der Geschmack war ok, aber auch nicht weltbewegend, die Portion sehr klein. Für den Preis kann man auch in ein normales Restaurant gehen und ein anständiges und reichhaltiges Essen bekommen. Der Service war ok, die zwei Damen hinter der Theke nett.

Süßkartoffelpommes waren super 👍 Danke, dass alle Soßen laktosefrei sind 😊 Das ist leider in der Gastro immernoch eine Seltenheit! Bin zufrieden 😉

Schmeckt. Besser als die bekannteren Burgerketten. Vorsicht, der Chili-Burger macht seinen Namen alle Ehre.

Ich habe nur eine Portion Pommes gegessen. Die schmecken wirklich gut. Es stehen acht superleckere Soßen zur Wahl. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Ich komme wieder.

Ein sehr freundliches Team und wirklich gutes Essen

Die Arbeit des Kritikers ist in vieler Hinsicht eine leichte. Wir riskieren sehr wenig und erfreuen uns dennoch einer Überlegenheit gegenüber jenen, die ihr Werk und sich selbst unserem Urteil überantworten. Am dankbarsten sind negative Kritiken, da sie amüsant zu schreiben und auch zu lesen sind. Aber wir Kritiker müssen uns der bitteren Wahrheit stellen, dass, im Grossen und Ganzen betrachtet, das gewöhnliche Durchschnittsprodukt wohl immer noch bedeutungsvoller ist als unsere Kritik, die es als solches bezeichnet. Doch es gibt auch Zeiten, da ein Kritiker tatsächlich etwas riskiert – wenn es um die Entdeckung und Verteidigung von Neuem geht. Die Welt reagiert oft ungnädig auf neue Talente, neue Kreationen. Das Neue braucht Freunde. Gestern Abend habe ich etwas Neues erlebt, ein ganz aussergewöhnliches Mahl aus einer vollkommen unerwarteten Quelle. Zu sagen, dass sowohl das Mahl als auch sein Schöpfer mein Verständnis von der hohen Kunst des Kochens herausgefordert haben, ist eine gewaltige Untertreibung. Sie haben mich in meinen Grundfesten erschüttert.

Super leckeres Essen und nettes Service

Also ich kann mich nicht beschweren. Alles im angemessen Bereich. Ist halt ein Imbiss. Da kann man keinen großen Luxus erwarten. Mir hat es geschmeckt. Für Kleingeldleute nicht geeignet, da die Preise schon recht hoch sind. Ist aber für mich nicht verwunderlich. Die Mietpreise für solch ein Laden sind astronomisch und fliesen mit in die dargebotenen Speisen ein. Angenehm fand ich meinen Sitzplatz.

Alles lecker, super Auswahl an Saucen, nettes Personal

6.49 für einen Hotdog in der Größe eines ikea Hot Dogs, nur Bockwurst und dem gleichen billigen Brötchen. Einmal und nie mehr. Bitte keine Marketingantwort mit "beste Zutaten" und Qualitätsfleisch. Entspricht nicht der Realität.

Ich hab mehr erwartet und bin leider enttäuscht worden. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett, aber das Essen leider überteuert und dafür nur mittelmäßig.

Super tolles Essen und mega freundliches Personal. Die Pommes waren frisch, der Burger absolut on point und die Soßen Auswahl war einfach spitze. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen und würde selbst dort wieder essen gehen
