No one has been available by phone for days. We wanted to clarify a reservation and still had questions. But you can't reach anyone for days. Very annoying!

Two years ago, amazing cocktails were prepared here, and the bartenders worked at the highest level. However, after a complete change in the cocktail menu, this place lost its uniqueness. The new cocktail menu was disappointing - the drinks now do not stand out in any way, as in ordinary establishments. The service also leaves much to be desired: in 1.5 hours, our table was approached only three times, and our order was never brought. I've previously added photos from when this place was truly special, with a great cocktail menu. Unfortunately, now it has lost its charm, and I no longer want to return here, nor recommend it to friends.

The food was very tasty and authentic. The employees are super nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, we were placed as a large group in the large room behind the bar. And it was cold. So cold that almost all of the ladies in our group ended up sitting at the table wearing jackets at some point. Of course, a Christmas party like this quickly breaks up and there isn't much drinking for long. It's a shame, unfortunately that somewhat spoiled the great impression of the food and service.

We made a spontaneous reservation online and it worked without any problems. We were warmly welcomed and given a nice table with a view of the old town church square. The service was very accommodating, friendly and quick - and the food was brilliant ("Fine Thai cuisine" is not too much of a promise!)

My husband and I spontaneously came here for the first time a few months ago, were immediately given a nice seat and the food came quickly and was very tasty. For this reason we registered with 4 people for yesterday because we wanted to enjoy a nice evening with friends with good food. We ordered a starter and four main courses. What can I say? The evening was a disaster. We sat at the table at 6:15 p.m. A pineapple spritzer was weak (not enough pineapple juice, stale water, too warm). The starter (Bruschetta Thai style = 4 slices of white bread with 2 sauces) came at 7:30 p.m. Although we didn't really "plan" it, everyone got a small additional plate. Anyway. In between we asked the waitress in a friendly manner whether we had been forgotten, as other guests who came after us had already had their food on the table. She said no and explained that there were a lot of guests there. Well, yes. Anyone who runs a restaurant and offers a corresponding number of seats should be able to handle this. Finally, at 7:50 p.m. three main courses were served, my husband didn't get his salmon in coconut-peanut sauce. When we finished our meal and the waitress cleared the plates, she asked us if it was tasty. Yes, it really had that (although the "crispy" duck wasn't actually crispy), although we mentioned that unfortunately my husband couldn't give an opinion because he still didn't have any food. She then had to look it up in the orders and said she would pass it on to the kitchen straight away. In the meantime we had already decided to leave it alone and continue the evening elsewhere. Nobody wanted to wait another half hour or even longer. The service didn't seem particularly motivated (only one person had good language skills). We observed that guests were initially served incorrect food and then taken to other tables. There was also no noticeable Asian friendliness, and overall all the waitresses made every effort to ostentatiously look past us. After all, our waitress didn't charge our friends for a non-alcoholic beer or me for a small mineral water. Nevertheless, we couldn't leave a tip for this overall poor performance, and we are always extremely generous. Conclusion: The ingredients were fresh and the food was also quite tasty. Unfortunately, they managed to give us an unforgettable negative evening, which is why this second visit was the last.

Wir waren mit Freunden da. Das Essen war gut und reichlich. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist o.k. Was uns sehr schockiert hat waren die Toiletten. Die Damen mussten an den Pissoir vorbei auf die Herrentoilette. Das war übrigens auch vor 3 Wochen schon so.

Title: Very disappointing experience at the restaurant We recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and unfortunately my experience was less than positive. First of all, the wine selection was very limited - there were only two types of white wine and none of the waitresses could tell us where they came from or what recommendations they had. This is disappointing for a restaurant that deals with wine. To bridge the waiting time, we ordered an Aperol. Unfortunately, the taste was anything but satisfactory. After 25 minutes without any service or the opportunity to place our food order, we decided to leave. We paid for the Aperol but there was no apology or sign of regret from the staff. We were told we had to call the waitress, which shouldn't be the case in a well-run restaurant. Overall it was a disappointing experience and unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of service and customer support.

Unfortunately, we weren't impressed with the quality of the food or the service. The dishes were not convincing and lacked freshness and taste. The service was also inattentive and slow. Overall not a satisfactory experience.

The wrong food was brought, which we took as a gesture of goodwill, and was then charged. Unfortunately the food wasn't good, the duck wasn't crispy and the sauces were too salty. It's a shame for the location but I can't recommend it given the high prices, the lack of service and the quality of the food.

It's really nice to sit outside, the waiters are nice and work very quickly. In my opinion, the food itself wasn't worth the price, it would have tasted exactly the same at a train station snack bar for 4.50 - but at 14.50 and up it was too expensive.

A really recommended restaurant. The service is first class. There were a lot of us, spontaneously more than was originally reserved. It was absolutely no problem. The selection of food and drinks on the menu is very good and manageable. The waitress provided friendly assistance and responded to individual requests that were not included in the menu. The ambience, especially the location, is unique. We sat inside in a higher area. It was fantastic, the stucco - a dream... The food was also very tasty. The price-performance ratio is good. Therefore a full recommendation from me.

The last time I was at Osha was in 2007 (if it was Osha then 😄) and I had high expectations. We had a nice short visit before we went to see Olaf Schubert. We were warmly welcomed and the service was friendly. The dining room downstairs is clear and a bit noisy acoustically when there are a lot of people there. But since we had already made reservations at half past six, we were almost finished when more people arrived. I ordered a tangerine mojito with my meal. This one was very tasty, albeit with canned mandarins. Think that maybe it is. Would have been even tastier with fresh mandarins and you could use a little more cane sugar if the mandarin was naturally too sour. Nevertheless, he was very good. The food too. We once had the No.54 with chicken and the No.94. At 94, a man might like a little more meat. But this has to be considered individually and therefore no points are deducted from the rating. The vegetables were crunchy and you could also taste the Thai basil. Overall, all components were consistent. The waiting time was also balanced, not too short and not too long. We'd love to come back if we end up in Erlangen.

Warning! Food wise this place qualifies as one of the ten worst Thai restaurants in Germany. Like other commentators mentioned, the setting in an old building fairly central is nice, but, BOY! - the food is so Germanized- it is barely recognizable as PadThai. Round egg noodles in a sauce from Aldi, no Tamarind, no fish sauce, and to cover it all up put a thin omelette over it in addition to the egg scramble amongst the noodles: King Bhumipol would turn around in his grave!

Thai restaurant in a great building from the 18th century on Theaterplatz in Erlangen. The taste was okay, but not outstanding. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. You could get a lot more out of the scenery.

The food is really great - I can really recommend it to everyone. Unfortunately, the cocktails have declined significantly. They used to be an insider tip in Erlangen. Now completely overpriced (15 euros for a cocktail) and very watery... That was really a disappointment for me :( Ambience is very special, a mix of old building and Asian. I really think it's very successful. The service has been catastrophic several times. You don't get served for ages, a lot of things are forgotten... Last time our starters came first and only after repeated requests did our cocktails arrive at some point. These were actually on the house - thank you for the professional handling of this! At the next table the main course came before the starters. An incredible faux pas for a restaurant in an upscale price range. In the end we paid over 100 euros for long waiting times, a lot of hassle and forgetting our drinks. Please change something in your time management! I'm actually really sorry to give so few stars because the food is really very good. 1 star deduction for the food because of the watery cocktails.

We had a very nice evening! It's really a taste experience, the food and drinks were excellent. The location definitely stands out from everything else, a really great atmosphere! The beautiful old-school bar on the upper floor is an absolute eye-catcher. Dear Osha, you now have new regular guests!

The food was delicious. But the price-performance ratio wasn't right for me. The portion size was too small for me and not enough duck for the price.

First of all: the food was good and came quickly. But: the restaurant is listed as an insider tip in the 2024 voucher book, but this is not accepted at all in this restaurant. Unfortunately, you won't find any references to this on the homepage or in the entrance area. The service also seems quite overwhelmed, although very nice. All in all we won't be coming back.

There were three of us there yesterday: excellent and authentic Thai food in a cozy atmosphere. The waitresses are very nice and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our food order. After dinner we went upstairs to the quaint cocktail bar and treated ourselves to a few drinks. All in all, we had a lovely evening and the price-performance ratio was good.

I like the new, clearly structured menu. The food is very tasty and seasoned in a variety of ways. The ambience is charming, and dining outdoors is particularly atmospheric. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly. Regular visits are recommended. I notice that some visitors criticize snobbishly, but - evident from the name without a migration background - can no longer distinguish between "that" and "that". Knowledge of capitalization and comma placement is also shockingly flawed.

The food was very tasty. We had a very good and attentive waitress. After dinner we were able to linger in the bar upstairs, which was actually closed, and have cocktails.

Sehr leckeres und optisch ansprechend angerichtetes Essen. Allerdings sind die Preise recht hoch, auch für die Getränke. Die Bänke ohne Rückenlehnen sind nicht unbedingt bequem und im Gastraum war es leider sehr kalt. Deswegen kam leider keine Wohlfühlatmosphäre auf.

Essen war sehr lecker, aber nicht gerade günstig. Bedienung wirkte etwas überfordert. Würden 3 mal gefragt, ob wir schon bestellt hätten. Aber sehr freundlich.

Fazit: Wir werden nicht mehr in dieses Restaurant gehen. Das Essen war gut und schön angerichtet. In dem Raum in dem wir saßen war trotz Minusgraden die Heizung abgestellt. Wir haben alle gefroren und teilweise mit Jacken gegessen. Der Service ist freundlich, aber sehr selten präsent, so dass wir 2 mal eine Etage runter laufen mussten, um etwas bestellen zu können. Bei 10 Personen wurden sowohl die Vorspeisen, als auch die Hauptgerichte zeitlich so serviert, dass wir nie zusammen essen konnten. Die zum Teil auf den Boden verschüttete Suppe wurde dennoch serviert. Schade, dass Ambiete ist an sich sehr schön und hätte mehr Potential.

Leider war der Service so schlecht das wir nicht wiederkommen. Wir waren zu viert und statt wie üblich bei der Reservierung wurden wir beim Eintreffen darauf hingewiesen das der Tisch nur für anderthalb Stunden für uns reserviert ist. Schlechter Start in einen gemütlichen Abend mit Essen und Cocktails. Es hatte sich dann eh erledigt nachdem unsere Hauptspeise nicht kamen neu eingegeben wurden und keine Entschuldigung dafür kam. Auf die Rechnung mussten wir am Ende auch noch länger warten.

Die Speisen sind fast perfekt. Etwas wenig für über 17€. Etwas mehr Konzentration des Service bei der Bestellung wäre hilfreich um falsch serviertes zu vermeiden.

Do you like Thai food? Great, I have a place for you to try! This lovely place warmed my heart and belly during this cold time of the year. Located in a beautiful old building in Erlangen, you will find an amazing selection of the best Thai dishes. The portions are the perfect size, leaving you feeling full but not overly so. Plenty of vegetarian options from starters to dessert. The "spicy" cubes weren't spicy enough for me, though. But that's a common problem in Germany, I think. Unfortunately, the place is closing in December, so I recommend going there sooner rather than later!

Schönes Restaurant auf verschiedenen Ebenen und mit Bar. Das Essen war sehr gut. Preislich etwas angehoben. Bedienung war freundlich, konnte aber leider kein Deutsch. Wartezeit war auch etwas hoch. Die Kabinen der Herren WCs sollten dringend erneuert werden.

Das Essen & die Getränke waren sehr lecker und auch ganz hübsch angerichtet ! Das Ambiente im Restaurant ist ganz okay. Die Bilder im Internet sahen schöner aus als es war... Die Bänke waren sehr unbequem und leider war es sehr kalt in den Räumen. Für den Service gibts leider auch keine volle Punktzahl, wir wurden kaum bedient , es wurde nicht einmal nachgefragt ob wir nochmal was trinken möchten. Im (wirklich wunderschönen oberen) Barbereich haben wir uns nach 40 min Warten die Karten selbst geholt. Auch zum Cocktails bestellen mussten wir erst Auffordern... naja guter Service ist leider was anderes.

Haben 2 Stunden auf 3 Cocktails gewartet. Unterirdischer Service. Auf deutsch kann man auch nicht bestellen, das finde ich aber auch in Ordnung mittlerweile…

Also das Essen war fast schon 5 Sterme Niveau und echt empfehlenswert. ABER leider ist der Service unter aller Sau und lässt leider einen so dunklen Schatten, das wir nicht mehr kommen werden. Wir waren 10Leute(da denkt man mit uns macht man bisschen Umsatz) und wurden erstmal 45 mil unbeachtet gelassen. Dann hat der Kellner die Bestellung nicht zu Ende aufgenommen und ist ohne zu fragen oder etwas zu sagen, gegangen...dann haben wir ein Getränk bestellt welches nach einer halben Stunde immer noch nicht kam und wir darauf den Kellner angesprochen haben und er Es dann einfach nochmal boniert hat. Als wir bezahlt hatten und uns aufgefallen ist dass das nicht gebrachte Getränke doppelt boniert wurde, meinte er nur "ich kann das Geld zurück geben kein Problem" jedoch anstatt den 4.5€ gab Es dann nur 3€ zurück? Sry absolute Katastrophe beim Service. P.S. Wenn man nach etwas scharfen verlangt, wird 1,5€ verlangt ...Frechheit

Seit langem mal wieder hier, zu empfehlen.

Locale molto carino, tranquillo e con tavoli fuori. Bell'atmosfera. I camerieri sono stati molto gentili ed efficaci nonostante fossero pochi causa ferie rispetto la quantità di clienti. Servizio veloce e piatti veramente squisiti. È stata veramente una sorpresa. Menù vario anche di bevande e cocktail. Cibo buonissimo e di qualità. Prezzo adeguato alle porzioni abbondanti.

Das Essen war gut und der Service wirklich aufmerksam und sympathisch. Was mich aber wahnsinnig gestört hat war das Ambiente. Die Lautstärke der Gäste in den Raum war so laut das an entspanntes essen nicht zu denken war. Das ist leider auch der Punkt für mich wo ich auf den nächsten Besuch verzichten werde und doch lieber die Konkurrenz aufsuche.

Wir waren vor kurzem dort essen und das Essen war generell gut, ser Service war ok. Wir hatten einen Gutschein, mit diesem konnten wir aber nicht bezahlen da es wohl einen Inhaberwechsel gab. Obwohl der neue Inhaber vor Ort war würde uns gesagt, dass wir eine Mail schreiben müssen und den Gutschein quasi "umtauschen" müssen auf den neuen Inhaber. Das wäre aber kein Problem und ginge super schnell. Fanden wir jetzt vor Ort nicht so toll aber manchmal ist das so. Leider bekommt man aber auf die besagten E-Mails keinerlei Antwort und wenn man anruft wird man wieder verwiesen eine Email zu schreiben. Sorry ich finde das geht gar nicht. Entweder Klipp und klar sagen dass der Gutschein verfallen ist oder tauschen.

Das Essen war gut, die Portionen waren perfekt für uns. Wir haben uns gefreut, dass Steinbach Bier vom Fass ausgeschenkt wurde. Die Preise empfanden wir als normal.

Sehr leckere Speisen, umfangreiche Getränkeauswahl. Wir waren das erste Mal hier zum Essen und werden sicher wieder hingehen. Die geringe Einschränkung beim Service (dauerte manchmal etwas länger, bis man mit einem Wunsch bemerkt wurde) und beim Ambiente (der äußerste Tisch an der Straßenseite) waren vielleicht der hohen Auslastung geschuldet.

Schöne Location. Das Essen ist auch wirklich gut. Bilder auf der Speisekarte würde die Speisewahl deutlich vereinfachen. Jedoch sollte man auf keinen Fall zu spät zur Reservierung kommen. Wir haben keinen Parkplatz gefunden, konnten telefonisch wiederholt niemanden erreichen und unser Tisch wurde nach 15 Minuten vergeben. Leider mussten wir dann fast eine Stunde auf den nächsten Tisch warten.

Waren am Samstag Abend zum Cocktail-Trinken hier. Der Tisch im Erker war frei, kein „reserviert“-Schild, soweit so gut. Ambiente im Barbereich und Nebenraum ist auch echt toll. Die Cocktails (alkfrei und mit Alkohol) waren allesamt lecker und groß. Aber: nach ner halben Stunde wurden wir von unsrem Erkerplatz vertrieben („schon vor 3 Wochen reserviert“ und „vergessen das Schild aufzustellen“), im hinteren Beriech des kahleren Nebenraums verbannt und fortan nicht weiter beachtet. Und beim Zahlen mussten wir aufpassen und nachfassen, dass wir nicht die Cocktails von denjenigen zahlen, die uns vertrieben hatten. Schwache Vorstellung des Personals.

Wir hatten Essen zum mitnehmen. Ich mach's kurz, beim Yum nua war das Fleisch etwas muffig und der Eisberg Salat (warum Eisberg Salat) verschrumpelt, some tam war geschmacklich gut, Minuspunkt zuviel Eisbergsalat drin und ebenfalls verschrumpelt, das rote Curry war kein curry sondern was anderes (oder die Kokosmilch vergessen?! Hat aber auch nicht wirklich nach Curry ohne Kokosmilch geschmeckt), wir haben richtig bestellt laut Rechnung. Sticky rice war gut gemacht. Auf der Haben Seite im Zen, Personal dort ist sehr freundlich und Ambiente ist Spitze.

Ein gutes Restaurant in einer tollen Location. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ich fand den Reis außerordentlich gut, das Curry mit Huhn war gut. Man sollte in jedem Fall reservieren wenn man am Abend kommt.

Die einstige Szene-Cocktail-Bar hat durch Änderung der Karte gelitten. Wir waren hier schon oft zum Essen. Normalerweise, ist das Personal sehr freundlich und der Service sehr gut, insbesondere der nette Herr am Empfang. Leider hatten wir heute eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Der Service war katastrophal! Der Empfang und die Kellnerin waren anders besetzt und überhaupt nicht aufmerksam. Wir mussten jeweils sehr lange warten un bedient zu werden. Zum Bezahlen mussten wir nach langem Warten sogar die Theke aufsuchen.

Bisher waren wir eigentlich immer sehr zufrieden mit dem Gesamterlebnis im Zen, aber gestern waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Der Service war zwar bemüht, aber sehr schleppend und langsam und wir mussten zuerst eine Viertelstunde auf unsere Getränke und dann auch noch über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten, das wir dann auch erst auf erneute Nachfrage bekommen haben. Angeblich habe das alles an einem "Systemfehler" gelegen, wobei wir eher vermutet haben, dass unsere Bestellung schlichtweg vergessen wurde. Es gab zwar eine Entschuldigung, aber nicht mal ein kostenloses Dessert oder einen Schnaps auf Kosten des Hauses, als kleine Entschädigung, obwohl wir sogar direkt danach gefragt hatten. Aber leider hat man uns auch dabei vollkommen ignoriert. Im Gegensatz zu früheren Besuchen in diesem Restaurant, waren wir diesmal sehr enttäuscht.

Absolutes Highlight. Das Ambiente ist was Besonderes und das Essen sensationell. Alle Bedienungen sind super freundlich, man wird freundlich bedient und hat keine langen Wartezeiten. Ich habe mir auch die hauseigene Bar im Obergeschoss angesehen. Ebenfalls tolles Ambiente. Werde diese beim nächsten Besuch im "Zen"gerne auch mal besuchen. Das Zen in Erlangen ist was Besonderes, bietet absoluten Gaumenschmauss und ein tolles Ambiente. Empfehle das Zen gerne weiter. Reservierungen sind empfehlenswert.

Gutscheine haben hier keinen Wert.

Wir sind seit sehr sehr vielen Jahren gerne zum Essen gekommen, u.a. An unseren Hochzeitstagen, leider war bei unseren letzten Besuchen das Essen miserabel. Vorspeise für 2 Personen, viel zu wenig, wenn es denn wenigstens lecker gewesen wäre. Hauptspeise knusprige Thai Ente, ja knusprig war sie, sie war so dermaßen trocken, bzw. Das Fleisch wurde komplett verbraten bzw. frittiert, die Curry Soße war so geschmacklos, wie auch all die anderen Gerichte, die wir zu 6. gegessen haben. Lediglich positiv anmerken können wir, dass das Personal sehr freundlich war. Ich weiß nicht, was uns überzeugen könnte dort nochmals zu essen. Sehr schade…

Gutes Essen und eine schöne Auswahl an Drinks.

Eigentlich sind die Cocktails mega und das Ambiente super. Bei einer Geburtstagsreservierung für die Bar für 9 Personen wurde uns jedoch trotz hinterlegter Telefonnummer nicht mitgeteilt, dass die Bar wegen Personalmangels vorübergehend geschlossen ist.
