I absolutely love this place! It’s perfect whether you come alone or with friends — you can sit outside, enjoy the sun, and just watch the world go by. Whenever the weather is nice, I always end up running into someone I know. it’s also a great spot for a morning coffee or breakfast. Open seven days a week, which makes it an easy choice anytime.

I guess we were unlucky. Very nice service, but unfortunately, with only 5 tables occupied, it took 15 minutes to realize that the drinks weren't coming. What did you order? Same with the food, what did you order? This resulted in the food not arriving for 50 minutes. The steak wasn't medium but rather rare, and the salad was drowned in oil. When we pointed this out, we were very unhappily reprimanded by the host. Too bad, we'll try again; it's a nice outdoor seating area and the service was actually very nice. We'll see if they request that the review be deleted, as others have suggested. I've kept the receipt and pictures. September 17, 2025 Addendum The deletion for defamation was immediate. Google Maps upheld my objection. So the other reviewer was right; they systematically try to delete bad reviews.

There are only 2 low reviews, I suppose they simply remove it. We've been waiting for 2 hours since we ordered the food. Starters came fast, but main course haven't been served for 1.5 hours. Other people who came later got food much faster. All the tables are waiting , the elderly man(the owner)is very slow. When taking away the oyster dish got ice water spilled on my legs. No apologies at all. Never again.

It's always a highlight. Finding authentic French food is becoming increasingly difficult, but here it's still possible. The menu has something for all price ranges, although it's often very expensive for me... The food is excellent and the service very smart. The wine list is impressive, and the value for money is good.

The food selection is absolutely top, delicious French cuisine, large selection of wines including champagne, but also very expensive. Everything is freshly prepared and therefore a corresponding waiting time must be accepted.

Always love the escargot and beef bourgeon. We’ve had the same waiter twice and he and the other staff are friendly and care about your experience.

Beautiful location; very friendly and attentive service and the food is also very good. But 12.50 euros for a, sorry, watery Aperol Spritz is just a disgrace! You don't even pay these prices on Sylt or anywhere else in Frankfurt. This is cheeky and shameful for the restaurant. I recently had a spontaneous meal at this restaurant and was unfortunately very disappointed with the service. Although the food was good, the reception and service were anything but welcoming. As soon as we arrived we were greeted unfriendly. We hadn't made a reservation and asked if there was still a place available. The restaurant was relatively empty throughout our visit, yet the owner (I assume he was the owner) had a very long face as he seated us. We had to wait a long time until someone finally came to us. It was my mother who ended up having to get a waiter's attention several times before we even received the menu. More time passed before we could finally order. Originally we were going to order a starter, a main course and a dessert, but due to the delays we ended up only choosing the main course. Unfortunately, there was hardly any advice. Upon request, we receive a wine recommendation for our dishes. The waiter was polite, but we received little attention. The food was brought, but afterwards we felt completely forgotten. Nobody asked if we liked the food or if we wanted to order something more. Our attempts to order something else were ignored because the waiter kept turning his back on us. Our glasses remained empty and there was no demand for dessert. The waiter seemed to only pay attention to specific guests, which made us feel like we weren't really welcome. All in all, the food was tasty, if not exactly cheap. The waitress clearly needs to work on their service. The restaurant and the ambience are actually nice, especially the terrace. However, the mood was negative due to the cold service, which affected the entire ambience.

Were there 3 times. Always very enthusiastic service and food excellent. But today it was a failure. Food was excellent again but the service was absolutely not good. We wanted to eat the daily menu, which according to the statement is only served at lunchtime (we also ate it in the evening on the last two visits!!!! The wine offered on the website for €6.90 is not on the menu in the restaurant at all. We were also... After the meal we didn't even ask if we wanted to order anything else, be it drinks or dessert. That was our last visit.

Update February 29, 2024: DANGER! Negative reviews are specifically deleted here. Today I received a request from Google to prove that I was actually a guest there. I have done this and am therefore reducing my rating from three to two stars. I can only confirm my original summary, if you don't have money problems you can come here, but if you are looking for good value for money then you should choose other places. ------------------------------------------ Original review July 2nd, 2023: I wish I could give this place five stars but, still, I can't. I was there today (July 2nd, 2023) with my partner and experienced the following: Positive: -Service was quick and attentive -The snails were very good! Gladly again! -The chocolate cake with Mousse Au Chocolat was sensationally good. Negative: -Boulliaboisse tasting for 28.50 euros was way too overpriced. Based on comparative dishes at expensive restaurants in Frankfurt, our expectation for the quantity and quality would have been +/- 17 euros. The service received our feedback excellently and we got free desserts, which leads to point 2: -The dessert was incredibly bitter. The service responded quickly again (the reason given was incorrect preparation) and we received the excellent chocolate cake and free coffee. Other guests who had this dessert also received chocolate cake. -15.50 EUR for the chocolate cake is definitely too much. 10 euros for this amount should be enough or 12 euros for more. All in all, the restaurant is very expensive but I see the potential and the excellent service! I would love to go back and can easily imagine taking business partners with me too. My wish would be to be able to give it five stars next time.

We had read the mixed reviews here, but on Friday evening it was the last option for seven people. Overall, the restaurant doesn't do justice to the price level. Foie gras tiny portion, with thickly sliced, dry brioche with a lemony taste. Mussel stock stuffy, Loup clearly too salty. The pasta with spinach filling seemed like the only children's option, but without warning it was in a very sage-rich sauce, which became a running joke as an "infusion". Other dishes were impeccable, but not outstanding. Service almost never asked on its own initiative, but had to be stopped, blunt knives for the steaks, a tablespoon for the fish. Good: selection of drinks and wines. Total >100€ per adult for mediocre food and inattentive service. Update 2/29/24: The brasserie is currently having a service provider delete bad reviews on Google instead of facing the criticism. Simply embarrassing. Luckily we can prove with seven witnesses that we were there.

I really enjoyed the evening. The meat was excellent. The service is very friendly. We will be back!

Wir wurden sehr unfreundlich von einem kleinen älteren grauhaarigen Mann an der Tür empfangen. Wir dachten uns erstmal nichts dabei und wollten den Speisen eine Chance geben. Doch dann der Schock, es gibt keine Hauptspeise unter 30€. Trotz des Preisschocks bestellten wir etwas da wir hungrig waren. Wir bekamen zwei Tiefkühl Loup de Mer Filets, die für den stolzen Preis recht klein ausfielen. Meine Frau aß drei Garnelen die über 40€ kosteten was vollkommen überzogen ist. Auch der herzliche und aufmerksame Service der Kellner konnte den Abend nicht mehr retten. Das beste an dem Abendessen war der Moment in dem wir das Lokal wieder verlassen haben.

Für die mittelmäßigen Gerichte sind die Preise viel zu hoch! Das Lokal war sehr schlecht beheizt, d.h. man fröstelte beim Essen. Die Teller waren kalt, das Essen lauwarm, lieblos angerichtete! Ein lauwarmer Espresso zum Abschluss sagt alles! Achselzuckende, uninteressierte Bedienung.

Ich verfasse diese Bewertung während dem ich auf mein Essen warte und nachdem ich von dem Herrn Kellner mit einem Messer mehr oder minder beworfen wurde, da ich meinen Arm nicht schnell genug gehoben habe damit er das Besteck hinlegen konnte.

Gutes sollte man loben; sehr gutes sollte man unbedingt anderen Freunden einer exzellenten Küche und Gastronomie öffentlich empfehlen! Wir haben die Brasserie de Sud in Frankfurt am Main Sachsenhausen Süd, gestern mehr aus einer spontanen Idee 💡 besucht, da uns das Austern Angebot sehr angesprochen hat. 6 Austern zu 18 Euro mit einem Cremant 24 Euro und mit einem Glas Champagner 26 Euro! ( Top Angebot) Die Austern welche wir bestellt haben sind ausgezeichnet und sehr frisch gewesen der Cremant ein prickelndes Vergnügen und die hausgemachte Vinaigrette zu den Austern ist vorzüglich abgeschmeckt. Aufgrund dieser Tatsache entschieden wir uns die Brasserie de Sud in Frankfurt am Main Sachsenhausen weiter zu testen und bestellten einmal das Tagesmenue und ein ausgezeichnet zubereitetes Boeuf Bourgogne mit einem frischen hausgemachten Kartoffelpürree. Die Karotten Ingwer Suppe welche mit etwas Kürbiskernöl verfeinert wurde hat sehr gut gemundet,genau wie die exzellent zubereitete Lammkeule auf Kräuterrisotto. Das Kräuterrissoto war schlotzig und sehr gut zubereitet. Ganz ausgezeichnet und für jeden Saucenliebhaber ein Genuss, ist die handgekochte Lammjus zur Lammkeule, welche auch mit Baquette sehr lecker ist. Man spürt bei der Brasserie de Sud das hier echte Profis am Werk sind. Die französische Kochkunst wird unterstrichen von einem sehr guten natürlich freundlichen und gut geschulten Service am Gast. Es gibt sicher viele gute Restaurants in Frankfurt am Main, doch die Brasserie de Sud hebt sich hier hervor, weil sie nicht nur eine sehr gute französische Küche zelebriert, sondern auch das Brasserie Ambiente und die leichte französische Hintergrund Musik den Gast in Gedanken nach Paris entführt. Im übrigen können wir zum Abschluss noch die ausgezeichnet zubereiteten Crepe Suzette mit einer Kugel Vanilleeis empfehlen. Das Menue am Samstag für 39 Euro anzubieten ist ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus und sehr empfehlenswert! Wir bedanken uns für das sehr gute Essen, die gute Weinauswahl und die herzliche professionelle Service und Gastfreundschaft und werden sicher wieder kommen! Vielen Dank für einen sehr 😋 leckeren Restaurantbesuch welcher uns in sehr guter Erinnerung bleiben wird!

Ich komme immer wieder gerne her. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und vielfältig bei wechselnden Gerichten. Die Bouillabaisse ist einsame Klasse, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Die durchgehend geöffnete Küche finde ich auch gut. Was will man mehr?

Wir waren zu einem kleinen Abendessen (Salat) in der Brasserie- Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut nicht. Eine Flasche Wasser 8,90€ eine Apfelsaftschorle (0,4l) 7,50€ - eine Weinschorle kostet genauso viel. Der Service war freundlich - sehr legère für das, was die Brasserie vorgibt zu sein. Die Salate waren durchschnittlich - 21€ sind auch hier leider überhaupt nicht gerechtfertigt (Wareneinsatz). Die Inflation und Preissteigerungen betreffen uns alle, aber das grenzt schon an Wucher.

So, I went to this restaurant because a friend suggested as he have been here couple of times before. My experience was really disappointing. I trusted the reviews in Google. Never again. We arrived at 20:15 at the restaurant, the starters were really fast because was foie and toasts but we waited over an hour for the main course which was not a big thing, a grilled fish with vegetables. The vegetables were cold. Fish was ok. The kitchen and the only waiter was super slow, he forgot so many times every command. No apologies or anything from the staff.

Sehr gut, das französisches Restaurant mit unglaublich lecker Schnecken als Vorspeise und sehr gute. Wir hatten das Milch Lamm gehabt, sehr lecker geschmeckt hat

Unsere Speisen waren ausnahmslos lecker und preislich angemessen. Allerdings war der Service katastrophal. Zunächst saßen wir 10-15 Minuten an unserem Platz ohne zumindest unsere Getränkebestellung aufgeben zu können. Anschließend wurde uns der Wein nur sehr unregelmäßig nachgeschenkt. Die Gäste am Nebentisch bekamen die Speisen mit einem Abstand von circa 10 Minuten. Das Essen der Gäste war also halb kalt, als sie gemeinsam mit dem Essen beginnen konnten. Abschließend kam unsere Rechnung, wobei uns eine zu teure Flasche Wein abgerechnet wurde. Erst nachdem wir mit Blick auf die Karte insistiert haben, wurde der Rechnungsbetrag angepasst. Gleichwohl gab es keinerlei entschuldigenden Worte. Das ist einem so gehobenen Restaurant definitiv nicht angemessen und wir werden wohl kein Besuch mehr dort planen.

Schwierig. Für diesen Preis erwartet man definitiv mehr. Essen geschmacklich gut, aber zu kleine Portionen. Service ausbaufähig. Zudem werde ich nie verstehen, wie man Gäste die reserviert haben (und das Restaurant fast leer ist an einem Sonntag Abend) an den Katzentisch vor den Toiletten platzieren kann.

Nous y avions pris des plats à emporter régulièrement pendant la pandémie, bons mais petite quantité et relativement chers. Nous étions ravis de nous rendre au restaurant un soir la semaine dernière et même si Francais habitant à Sachsenhausen, nous n´y remettrons plus les pieds. Le serveur (gérant?) est infect et peu aimable. Dommage !

Essen ok, Dessert tarte au chocolat war mir persönlich zu süss einerseits und mit zu viel künstlichem Zitronenaroma andererseits versetzt..Gemüse war schön knackig, Forelle langweilig. Espresso wurde angeboten als das Dessert schon abgeräumt war. Preise überteuert.Da gibts andere französische Restaurants auch in Sachsenhausen die ein deutlich besseres Gesamtpaket anbieten

Leckeres Essen und sehr aufmerksamer Service

Wirklich luxuriös, war aber den Preis wert - besonders das Poulet au vinaigre, kannte ich noch nicht. Netter Kellner. Gut gestreifte Weinkarte.
