Very nice restaurant with quick service. Portion of goulash very very spicy, almost bordering on over-spiced. Portion, proportion of meat in relation to the spaetzle, very manageable.

Small portion and definitely too expensive, vegetables almost raw instead of grilled. For €24.90 only 4 king prawns, which are actually very small and not worth it at all. The service is very nice and that's the only positive thing about this restaurant. Otherwise dark, smells strange and ancient furniture.

We were here for lunch and were served very friendly. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was right. We would love to come back.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant recently. The ambience is fantastic – a successful combination of stylish design and cozy atmosphere. It invites you to linger. Sometimes longer than you plan ;-) Particularly noteworthy is the staff: friendly, attentive and accommodating. You immediately feel comfortable and warmly welcomed. The food was a delight – freshly prepared and lovingly presented. The diverse menu offers both traditional and creative dishes that simply taste great. The fine drinks, from the well-stocked wine list to delicious cocktails, round off the experience. Overall, this restaurant is an absolute recommendation. Whether for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends - you've come to the right place. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The food was very tasty and the Wiener Schnitzel I had was reasonably priced and really big. The music is a bit loud, which makes it difficult to chat at the table in larger groups. Also because every table then has to talk louder, A reservation is definitely necessary

We quickly decided to try out the top dog. First impression was cozy and appealing. Unfortunately the floor was very dirty and our table was very unclean. I had a schnitzel with fries and salad. Unfortunately, the schnitzel is fried. The wife had a cordon bleu which was quite tasty. Service was very friendly and accommodating. There is still room for improvement...

I spontaneously stopped by with a friend without a reservation...the restaurant was busy...Nevertheless, we were warmly welcomed and seated straight away - really exceptionally friendly service, thank you very much for that! We only ate a little something, but it was a real taste experience: a delicious bruschetta with avocado cream and salad (No. 51 on the menu). The other guests' plates also looked very inviting and were completely eaten - a clear sign of the quality of the cuisine. An extremely popular restaurant that I can highly recommend!

Despite many Christmas parties, the service was great. The food tasted very good, I had the 52, a vegetarian bowl and I could have gone for it.

We booked here for our silver wedding anniversary. Actually booked in advance! For 6 people and for a silver wedding! We got there and were sat down somewhere, no reserved space, no decorations, no matter how small. Regardless, the food and service were great. The food was on the table quickly. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We would certainly have felt more comfortable if the music hadn't been so loud.

It's very loud when it's full. There was also loud music in the background, so you couldn't have a good conversation. Went there with several people and were seated at two different tables, which were next to each other, but even so it wasn't possible to have a conversation. Unfortunately, the food is not a reason for me to go there again.

I loved it. We were a party of 2 only so it was possible to just walk in and ask for a table.But I would recommend booking a table for 4 or more. It was really busy lots of party's spread throughout the restaurant but there was definitely enough wait staff to take care of everyone. Food was delicious I was initially disappointed with the size/quantity of my main course but it was very filling and gave me space for my dessert. I'm definitely coming back for more with my family

We came spontaneously for the first time without making a reservation on a Friday evening, we were quickly offered a table. The welcome was very friendly, we felt very welcome, all the conditions were very attentive to the service and very polite, it was busy Nevertheless, our food arrived quickly. We can definitely recommend this restaurant, the food tasted very good and everyone was full. Thank you very much for that and again big praise to the service staff

Super nice staff and tasted good. However, the service could be a little more attentive, e.g. asking for new drinks when the empty glasses are cleared away in the middle of the evening. Prices are really reasonable for the good quality! The offer is very nice, but you have to be aware that it gets quite loud when the restaurant is full, as it is very sociable here. Gladly again.

Three of us went there for dinner yesterday. Order came after 5 minutes. The only thing that was good were the drinks and the service. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend it.

The food really great. Great products and very tasty. However, the atmosphere is very worn out. Every chair wears out the leather. Every second plate has flaws. At least 1 light bulb in every lamp hanging above the tables is broken. The service was very friendly. Asking a little more about drinks or offering dessert would be great, the guest shouldn't have to ask themselves whether they can have another dessert. But otherwise you can't complain.

Food and service top, BUT (!) unfortunately you can't enjoy that. The loud music makes it impossible to relax and eat out with friends and chat. We also asked for the music to be turned down a bit... to no avail. We had no choice but to flee at some point - a shame!

My favorite restaurant in Pforzheim. The Doubt roast is a MUST.

We visited the top dog with a larger group. At the beginning we were taken to a table that was much too small. When we asked how we should eat there, we were at a loss as to how we could even ask such a thing. Especially since we reserved a month in advance. After a good 30 minutes, we were brought to a table that corresponded to our group size. The problem could have been prevented by sorting visitors correctly immediately. The service was okay for the size of our group. Food and drinks almost always arrived at the same time. Only empty glasses and plates were always cleared away upon request. The quality of the food is at a very high level. Anyone who gets upset about the prices here probably only eats in a fast food restaurant. Absolutely justified and within the really normal range. The ambience is great, but the music was a bit loud for us too. You had the feeling that it always had to be louder than the guests in the restaurant. Despite the deficiencies in service, we'll be back. Because we felt completely comfortable. Keep it up!

Waren auf der Durchreise hier und sind extra zum Essen nach Pforzheim von der Autobahn runter gefahren. Und dann durch Zufall hier gelandet und sehr zufrieden! Atmosphäre, Angebot und Qualität des Essens richtig gut! Besonders hervorzuheben die Freundlichkeit vom gesamten Personal. Schade, dass wir nicht öfters herkommen.

Nice restaurant, a bit more expensive for the location. We were just unlucky with the service. It took longer, some dishes that weren't ordered arrived, e.g. At first there were no spoons for the soups.

Ich war mit Freunden im Platzhirsch. Sehr leckeres Essen! Zur Vorspeise hatte ich einen leckeren Salat. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich unglaublich Leckere Käsespätzle! Alles in Allem gebe ich fünf Sterne da es auch eine sehr schöne Lage hat und es innen und außen sehr gemütlich gemacht ist. Lg

First of all...the food was good, although the salad was free of any salad dressing. The music was way too loud for a restaurant. You couldn't even have a conversation and the waitress pulled your plate away while you still had the cutlery in your hand and the salad plate wasn't even empty. When I tried to make my presence known, I was ignored It almost seemed as if they wanted to have the table free again quickly. All in all, not very comfortable for a nice birthday...unfortunately

Food was good, even if the Viennese style schnitzel was dry. Salad with goat cheese was delicious, even if the cheese was barely visible. Beef pasta dish was average. The house beer is great.

Unfortunately very disappointed with the staff and the kitchen! Ordered the cordon bleu. Once with fries and then with fried potatoes. My friend's meat simply had a broken/split piece of wood in his meat and mine had almost no cheese in his cordon bleu and there weren't any fried potatoes on my plate either - rather bland jacket potatoes in slices that tasted like nothing. After we asked the waitress about it, she agreed 1. Not apologizing for it 2. Just said "oh yes that can happen" 3. Left without further ado and cleared our plates. Overall, it must be said that the staff should be better trained. We were greeted warmly, our order was taken well, but then no one was there to ask whether we would like to drink something else, whether the food we ordered was okay or whether we would like to order dessert. I had actually planned to order dessert. But not like that!! First of all, because of the poor service and based on the waitress's reaction, it's apparently not unusual to have pieces of wood in the food. What could I have had for dessert then? Hair or a fingernail? An espresso or something similar on the house would have been appropriate. If this is not usual, then at least an apology!!!! I won't come here anymore. Unfortunately!! The ambience also deteriorates. Still really nice, but the chairs are just worn out and the leather is worn out. Women get full without an appetizer, men definitely don't get enough from the above-mentioned dish. In terms of price, everything is completely reasonable if the criticism of the kitchen and staff is passed on.

Simply ridiculous to offer the “spinach and potato pan” as a vegan main dish! If anything, this dish is a side dish. For just under €10 you get 5 small potatoes and 3 leaves of spinach, which won't even fill a child. The food I ordered took almost an hour to arrive and I ended up eating my friends' side dishes and getting full, it was a disaster.

Everything fits here... 5 stars fully deserved...

Had dinner there yesterday. The service was a bit clumsy or too reserved but friendly. Music was clearly too loud at the beginning but was later turned down. The atmosphere is nice and we enjoyed the food. For the bowls we would have liked a little less rice and more of the topping (for me more tofu, more avocado, etc. and for the other bowl more salmon, etc.) and a little more sauce for both. BUT even if everything wasn't perfect, it was still very good! So definitely 5 stars because we not only had a very nice evening with good food but the prices were also really fair. For what we paid this is a high level of complaining. I can highly recommend a visit.

The schnitzel, Viennese style, was a disaster. Probably been through the deep fryer twice already. To put something like that on a plate. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's bad. The house beer is good, but expensive at 4.90.

Very good gastronomy, very attentive and friendly staff. The outdoor seating area or beer garden is a very nice place, but the chairs are not particularly comfortable and it has no seat cushions. The food was good again, only the schnitzel was very thin, the salad was very good, perfectly prepared. Highly recommended.

This evening we ate onion roast with homemade spaetzle and salad - the best in the 50 km area - a taste orgasm that was really awesome. Great ambience and nice service

The schnitzel with fries is highly recommended! It's a super large portion - the schnitzel in particular almost doesn't fit on the plate - and tastes really delicious on top of that. A beer or shandy goes perfectly with this. The other dishes also tasted very good, as I learned from my companions. The service is very friendly and we didn't have to wait long. The Platzhirsch is conveniently located and offers a very pleasant atmosphere. If we lived in Pforzheim, we would definitely be guests here more often. We can recommend this restaurant without exception.

Bei diesem Sommerabend war der Aufenthalt im Freien gerade richtig. Das Essen war , wie erwartet, rustikal. Die Qualität und die Portionen waren gut. Die Bedienungen waren zuvorkommend und nett. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden.

I've given this juice shop two chances now. Once in the restaurant and once at the stand at the Öchslefest. In the restaurant, instead of serving customers, everyone was smoking the entire time. I waited 30 minutes JUST to be allowed to pay. I was charged 10 more, luckily I checked again. At the Öchslefest I was talked to as “Alter & Digga” and the employees had no respect whatsoever. I would be charged €19 for an Aperol Spritz and a Coke. When I pointed this out, the employees gathered around and whispered. Apparently they do that more often. Garbage and rip-offs

The onion roast is a stunner ;-) super tasty and plentiful including a salad that is well dressed. The lunch dishes are rather small, but are very tasty for the price/performance and are therefore okay. The service is on point and is freshly prepared; you can get your food within 20 minutes, even at peak times. I think it's great that you can come over for lunch all the time ;-)

Simply always good, the service for me is by far the best in the city. Delicious non-alcoholic drinks and a super tasty crunchy burger. The price-performance ratio is still right here! Very friendly owner, the guest is always king. Even for spontaneous visits, a space is always made as far as possible, despite the restaurant being full. Keep it up!

I've been there for dinner several times now and I have to honestly say that my friends and I always end up at the top dog. Because the food is simply top. The staff has always been polite and nice. The ambience outside is easy to enjoy when dusk falls in summer. Of course it's just as beautiful inside. I think it's a nice place to enjoy your evening after work.

Als wir, heißt meine Frau und ein befreundes Paar das Lokal betraten,stellte man fest,das der von uns reservierte Tisch vergessen wurde. Man platzierte uns dann vor der Theke,an einem Tisch der zum Essen recht ungeeignet war,da zu hoch oder die abgewetzten Ledersofas zu tief waren. Es war abartig laut,da der Wirt ständig hinter seiner Theke rumbrüllte und mit wutverzerrtem Gesicht mit Flaschen und Gläsern hantierte. Nachdem wir unser Essen und die Getränke bestellt hatten warteten wir in dem Lärm ,es war wirklich so laut das man sich nicht unterhalten konnte. Getränke kamen dann auch, lauwarmes alkoholfreies Bier ohne Kohlensäure. Das Essen kam,ausnahmslos lauwarm bis kalt, Salat ohne Dressing bzw. Suchet ihr findet. Wir beschlossen zu gehen. Nachdem der Kellner fragte,ob alles okay gewesen wäre, verneinte ich das. Dies bekam der brüllende Wirt mit und kam an den Tisch. Ob ich ihm erklären wolle wie er sein Lokal führt? Ich erklärte ihm das er weder Anstand noch Respekt hat vor seinen Gästen, sonst würde er sich nicht aufführen wie ein Vollidiot. Er verwies mich dann aus seinem Lokal. Er wollte mich dann noch anfassen,wobei ich ihm erklärt hab er solle es lassen. Ob ich überhaupt wisse wer er ist und dann noch irgendwelche andere Kraftausdrücke. Fazit. Ich war schon in vielen Ländern und in Vielen Lokalen. Aber dieser Abend bleibt in negativer Erinnerung.

2 vermeintlich leichte, schnelle Gerichte zum Mittagstisch, draußen sitzen... in der Theorie gut gedacht. Leider warteten wir 40 Minuten auf Linguini aglio olio und Chimichurri Bowl. Die Linguini waren ok, Pasta etwas weich - Geschmackssache. Die Chimichurri Bowl sollte bestehen aus: Duftreis, Eisbergsalat, Kichererbsen, Gurken, Rote Zwiebeln, Tomaten, Chia-Sesam und Zitat: gekrönt mit Chimichurri Black-Angus - Der Chia-Sesam : Fehlanzeige und das arme Chimichurri-Angus war mehrfach totgebraten, schwarz bitter auf jeweils einer Seite und von Chimichurri keine Spur. Also eigentlich verbranntes Rindfleisch mit Reis (ohne Duft) und Salat. Einfach enttäuschend. darauf dann 40 Minuten zu warten zur Mittagszeit und von der Mittagskarte, da fällt mir nichts mehr ein. Für die Wartezeit wurde sich entschuldigt, ok - aber das Ergebnis war dann einfach nicht gut. Die Kellnerin wollte die Beanstandung beim Fleisch (lag unten) und den fehlenden Chia-Sesam weitergeben.

Really not good food! I don't understand all the good reviews. The ambience and service are good. But unfortunately the food is really not good! The cheese spaetzle and the bowls tasted like ready-made products and hardly contained any fresh ingredients.

Friendly and fast service. Food is tasty for the money. Unfortunately, the salad had some brown spots and didn't seem quite as fresh. Our son got a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the house for dessert. Gladly again.

I had breakfast here with my wife. We both ordered the top dog breakfast. My wife wanted a latte macchiato, but this wasn't possible because it was too big. She then ordered a hot chocolate which was 40c cheaper. Then we each had to order butter even though it was supposed to be included? The regional egg was a hard-boiled egg, which in my case already had a dark discoloration around the yolk. Unfortunately, the crispy bacon was anything but crispy. The selection of sausages was definitely good, but there didn't seem to be more than one type of cheese. Overall really disappointing. The only positive point would be the orange juice, which is generous at 0.3l (the ice doesn't bother you either). The ambience was nice in downtown Pforzheim right by the fountain.

Very cozy but above all very tasty restaurant. Staff works quickly, efficiently and is very friendly. Steak was superb and the schnitzel delicious. Highly recommended if you are passing through. Very affordable and definitely worth repeating.

The staff are friendly and approachable, we have eaten here twice now and are very satisfied with the food and the price. At these high temperatures it is nice and shady with trees and parasols. Clear recommendation!

The innkeeper shouts at his employees even though the shop is full of customers. Then a guest is threatened who did not like this treatment and made this known in a calm, matter-of-fact tone! The screamer banned the guest from the house with the words "don't you know who I am?" You're really at a loss for words!

By far the worst cordon bleu I've ever eaten. The meat had a strange color and taste, very little cheese with a strange texture and a very thick breading. I expected a lot more from a veal cordon bleu for €20, it was a total disaster.

We were there with 13 people and everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and responded to all requests. The restaurant is really nice and you can sit inside and outside. The food was very nicely prepared and everyone really enjoyed it. We'll definitely come back 😊

Forgot the reserved table (a week ago). Lukewarm terrible food. Forgot salad, dressing. Non-carbonated beer, stale. Unfriendly, short-tempered innkeeper. Yells at his employees with no regard for the guests. After I complained, he kicked me out of his restaurant with threats of violence. If I didn't know if he was. Conclusion, loud unfriendly and bad food too.
