Pizzeria Sole Mio in Bad Soden am Taunus

The pizza hasn't tasted good since the owner changed. Too much cheese on the pizza.

I ordered a pizza an hour and 40 minutes ago and I'm still waiting! This is really disappointing. No notification about the delay, no call, nothing. When you're hungry and waiting that long, you lose your appetite. This kind of service is unacceptable. I hope it improves in the future, but I certainly won't order from here again.

It's always a pleasure to dine there. Friendly staff, good food, and good wine.

The baked rigatoni was dry. It lacked everything except pasta, making it a poor choice.

The pizza is really good, but the salads aren't recommended. Unfortunately, the delivery service has deteriorated dramatically. The last three times, the food hasn't arrived on time, but rather 45 minutes to an hour late. We don't know how to order anymore. You can order at a specific time – but they don't keep to it, and if we order too much in advance, we might still be working.

The pizza is great. The staff is friendly. All recommendations for the restaurant. Top.

Italian restaurant, just average taste

We went to Sole Mii with great enthusiasm but it's getting worse and worse these days. Bruscheta was a disaster on old burnt bread, veal liver carelessly placed on a plate, fried dry and overcooked, and 4 potatoes. We've never eaten anything so bad. We always had to call the waiter for them to come. The only drink was bottled water because the service wasn't good. I'm sorry, Sole Mio got very bad, we'll never come back.

The garden terrace is fantastic. The food was excellent. The service was very Italian and very pleasant.

The food has been consistently good for years. The service is rather patchy. Yesterday there were maybe 10 guests in the restaurant, and we were assigned a very small table. When we asked, they couldn't accommodate us. Since the other tables were obviously not reserved, we left. Apparently, they don't care about making money there.

I often travel to Bad Soden for business, and I always go to Sole Mio for dinner. It's one of the best Italian restaurants I know. I highly recommend it. Everything is just right.

A classic Italian restaurant with a seasonally updated menu. The owner, who took over the restaurant in 2013, is very friendly. The food is always impeccable and tastes excellent. The value for money is also excellent. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside on the terrace.

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the tomato stem wasn't completely cut off. The Indian-looking waiter was very cold, never a smile, not a word wasted. No dessert request was asked. It's a shame, otherwise, five stars would have been possible. The other waiters seemed motivated.

Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The beef fillet was okay, but the truffle sauce tasted like it came straight out of a package. The sea bream was full of bones and drowned in oil and butter. The broccoli was watery and greasy, and the fried potatoes were old and carelessly reheated. The service was a disaster – no one refilled our wine, no one came to take our payment, even though we waited over 15 minutes. The waiters were eating or on their phones, and no one felt responsible. For the low prices, you get at most a cafeteria-style meal here – if you're looking for a real restaurant experience, you'd better eat somewhere else. 1 out of 5 stars.

I want to express my displeasure with my review. I'm not reviewing the food here; that was fine. I find it unacceptable that the staff doesn't intervene when guests let their dogs sit on the chair with the seat cushion. To put it bluntly: I wouldn't want to sit on a seat cushion where the dog previously placed its butt, pooped, and peed. Nor would I want the tablecloth where the dog previously rested its nose, unless it's changed. Furthermore, I don't think it's acceptable when dog owners can't control their dogs enough to leave the restaurant without rioting and loud barking, which incites other well-behaved dogs to bark as well. People always get upset about crying children.

We went there with the family to spend a pleasant evening – unfortunately, it turned into a real test of patience. First, we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food (four pizzas, two salads). The salads were visible on the kitchen counter the whole time, and when they finally arrived after about an hour, there were small fruit flies on them – simply unhygienic. The pizzas arrived at the table with a significant delay, and one was completely missing. This was only delivered 20 minutes later, when all the others were already finished. The quality of the food also deserved a star – canned olives, dried cucumbers, etc. Things like this can happen – but no apology, no understanding, instead, the situation was even ridiculed. Instead of responding professionally and friendly, the waiters dismissed the whole thing and denied any responsibility, even though something had obviously gone wrong with the order. If I rarely go out to eat with my family and am willing to spend the money accordingly, I at least expect respectful treatment. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here at all. We definitely won't be visiting this restaurant again, nor will we recommend it to anyone. I'd rather stay home and cook for myself – it saves time, stress, and guarantees a better mood.

The Sole Mio pizzeria is truly beautiful, and the food is delicious – just like an Italian restaurant! It's very cozy, and the staff is very friendly. A place where you feel at home. We'd happily return!

I always enjoy coming here, good service, delicious food, fair prices…. I even find a parking space every time.

There is a wide selection of classic Italian food and wine. Unfortunately, welding work was being carried out outside around 6 p.m. during our stay. This could certainly have taken place during the restaurant's closing times. We were there 5 years ago and thought the atmosphere was great, but unfortunately that has diminished significantly.

Perhaps because the owner changed, the taste is a little different from 10 years ago. That's why I recommend pizza over pasta.

Great food, great service – but a little overpriced The Pizzeria Solo Mio in Bad Soden-Taunus really impressed us! As soon as you enter you feel welcome - the atmosphere is cozy and stylish, just the right mix of Italian charm and modern elegance. Although we had to wait a bit at first, it was worth the wait: the service was excellent! The waiters are incredibly friendly, attentive and ensure that you as a guest feel completely at home. Once we had our place, everything went smoothly and professionally. The food was simply fantastic! Fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared and absolutely convincing in terms of taste. The pizzas were crispy, the toppings were rich and aromatic. The pasta dishes and starters were also first class - you can tell that they cook with love and skill. A small negative point is the prices, which are a bit high. Of course you pay for quality and ambience, but a slight downward price adjustment would make the experience even more perfect. Best pizza, been a customer there for almost 40 years.

We have been there again for years. Unfortunately, the ambience is now loveless, you walk through the unkempt winter garden to the restaurant. You don't feel valued by the service, because it is rather functional and not very hospitable. The food was mixed, for example the bread didn't seem fresh.

Nice Italian with really good food. We were there with 14 people. Everyone was happy. What was very positive was that we all got our food at the same time.

Pizza was delivered and was undercooked. The dough was sticky and was almost raw at times... The vegetables were also not baked and were almost raw. Embarrassing for a pizzeria!

Sehr unfreundlichliche Service, das Personal Nicht representative, €€€, Laut. Wir hatten reserviert und obwohl viele Tische nicht belegt waren unser Tisch war sehr eng. Toilette nicht sauber.

We have been ordering from Sole Mio often for over a year and have it delivered to my grandma and there have never been any problems, however this Saturday we ordered for €70.50 and the delivery person said he would get €80, which is what my grandma did She then gave him a tip of €2 because she didn't know how much it actually cost because my aunt always calls and orders. Shortly afterwards we noticed that my grandma was being asked to pay more (unfortunately you don't get an invoice to see what you're paying, it's just communicated by the supplier) than what we had to pay, which never happens before is. The food was very good as always, it's just sad that my grandma was "moved away" so to speak or maybe the delivery person was just confused, in any case an invoice would be very useful to avoid such cases. Maybe delivery costs were added to this, which was not otherwise the case, but €9.50 delivery costs are unlikely.

Very very bad today... And that in all respects. You didn't feel comfortable at all. More like being annoying and unwanted. Very full, very loud, we sat in the attached part where it was also cold and people started smoking behind us... it was very reminiscent of a beer tent at the Dippemess. Something was forgotten several times when it came to food and drinks. - And only after repeated reminders was this of course brought up without an apology. Grumpy, inattentive and unfriendly conditions. The food tasted boring, both salad and pizza. Carelessly thrown together salad with an old dark egg and dressing that tasted like water. Pizza despite having several ingredients didn't taste like anything. The whole atmosphere didn't invite anyone to linger, it was uncomfortable and stressful. The friendliness of the conditions left a lot to be desired. Example of this: I was supposed to return the unused plate - and was asked to do so by the terms and conditions as follows: " Plate... plate... plate...!" And as if that wasn't enough, in a very unfriendly tone... He should have put this energy into the service, as it was different. Sorry, but even at home when I'm eating where I don't pay extra for it, they say: can I have the plate please! At some point the toilet ran out/or overflowed. We would definitely not come back because the value for money was absolutely not right and we were treated moodily and grumpily. Not recommended because nothing was right..

The food is incredibly good. The ambience is OK and the service still has a lot of room for improvement.

Die Speisekarte ist neu gedruckt und es gibt eine moderate Preiserhöhung. Die Tageskarte ist wie immmer ausführlich. Spaghetti vongole und Fischgerichte wie immer gut. Leider war der Herd defekt und es dauerte ein wenig. Dafür gab es dann ein kostenloses Dessert zur Kompensation. Der Garten ist schön bepflanzt was das mediterane Feeling unterstreicht.

At a time when the catering industry has to adjust its prices in order to survive, you will find prices here at the same level as they were before Covid. I was told that the prices had to be adjusted here too. But even if. I would happily pay more for this quality.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Bad Soden. I discovered this incredible Italian restaurant after traveling a lot for work to Frankfurt. Now I live in Spain, and every time I visit the city, I try to save some hours to include it in my itinerary.

Nachdem der Weihnachtsmarkt gestern "ins Wasser gefallen ist" sind wir spontan hierher gegangen weil wir Hunger hatten. Das Restaurant ist sehr ansprechend eingerichtet. Der Kellner war super nett und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns für eine Pizza Sole Mio (EUR 9), Tortellini mit Kräuterseitlingen (Sonderkarte/ EUR 16) entschieden. Dazu 2x Primitiv di Manduria (Als EUR 8) und eine große Flasche Wasser (EUR 5,80). Vorweg gab es Weißbrot mit Öl und Essig. Die Nudeln waren super lecker, besonders genial war aber die Pizza. Sehr gut belegt und der Boden zum niederknien. Einfach großartig die Speisen.. Dazu passte der Rotwein einfach perfekt. Doch wir waren rundrum begeistert.

Bestellung ist Mega schief gelaufen Insalata Piccola bestellt und bekommen Insalata Verde Preislich eine Differenz plus noch eine falsche Soße. Von der Pizza her: Geschmacklich waren wir beide nicht so überzeugt aber essbar gewesen Pizza war leider auch kalt.

Ich hatte mein mit Abstand schönstes Date in dieser Pizzeria. Mein Begleiter hat für uns die Dorade mit gegrilltem Gemüse gewählt. Das Essen war auf dem Punkt und sehr lecker. Der Wein (Lugano) hat super geschmeckt. Auch der Service war gut. Alles in allem würde ich gern nochmal dort essen gehen. Danke.

Eine interessante Location, draußen überdacht und mit Infrarotheizern. Könnte im Winter etwas frisch sein. Aber es gibt auch Platz im Restaurant. Die gewählten Trüffelspaghetti von der Tageskarte waren lecker und mit viel Trüffel. Eine Empfehlung. Bedienung freundlich zuvorkommend. Gerne wieder.

Seit langer Zeit mal wieder hier und nicht bereut. Viele Tagesangebote neben der normalen Karte. Alles war durchweg sehr gut, Die Essen kamen gleichzeitig, die Teller waren warm und der Service aufmerksam. Preis Leistung wirklich sehr gut.

Rude and dirty shef, spagetti with tomato sous- mixed with water, whine is sheet, the staff is very nice, but the man who calls himself the owner or the shef- is a nationalist, pretends himself the cook- it is the worst place to go in bad soden

Wir waren das erste Mal dort essen mit einer Gruppe von über 20 Leuten. Die Tische waren sehr schön gedeckt und jeder hatte ausreichend Platz (habe leider keine Fotos gemacht). Positiv überrascht war ich von den Preisen. Pizza unter 10 € oder Fleischgericht unter 20 € kriegt man fast ja nirgendwo mehr. Fischgerichten waren wieder etwas hochpreisiger. Mein Essen war sehr lecker: frische Pilze, selbstgemachte Nudeln. Würde ich direkt wieder bestellen. Toiletten waren sauber und ordentlich. Die Bedienung war freundlich und es gab keine lange Wartezeit.

Immer wieder gerne. Carbonara gibt's hier auch nach italienischer Art, man muss nur fragen.

Leider wurden hier aus ehemals 5 Sternen nur noch 2. Früher sind wir total gerne zu Sole Mio gegangen. Leider hat sich in letzter Zeit der einst herzlichen Service stark zurückgebildet, teils wurden wir als Stammkunden unfreundlich angegangen und einer der älteren Service-Kräfte ist sich regelmäßig nicht zu schade für sexistische Sprüche wie "Na, bist Du heut mit Deinen Weibern da" wenn wir in einer Gruppe Kollegen im Anzug hier erscheinen. Das war für uns der Ausschlag, nicht mehr zu kommen. Darüber hinaus sind die Preise in keinem Verhältnis mehr. 5,60€ kostet hier eine 0,4 Cola - das überschreitet selbst Frankfurter Verhältnisse. Wenn es ein Nobel-Italiener wäre ok, das ist es aber nicht. Fazit: Gute Speisen zu leider überteuerten Preisen und sehr schlechtem Service. Sehr sehr schade, denn wir waren früher sehr sehr gerne hier.

Pizza und Pasta waren gut, der Service hätte aufmerksamer und freundlicher sein können. Ist nichts besonderes.

Die Rigatoni al forno haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal ist sehr (kinder-) freundlich. :-)

Gut besuchtes Lokal, waren mit einer Geburtstagsgesellschaft dort. Vorspeisenplatten sehr gut, Hauptspeise ebenfalls, außer Pizza, war kalt und der Rand steinhart. Ausserdem war ein Kellner, älterer Herr mit zum Knoten gebundenem Haar, nicht sehr kooperativ was Sonderwünsche der Gäste angeht und überhaupt der Umgang war nicht sehr freundlich. Die anderen Kollegen dagegen sehr freundlich.

Insgesamt ein schönes Abendessenerlebnis. Wir hatten ein kleines Missverständnis über eines unserer Hauptgerichte, sie entschuldigten sich jedoch und boten einen kostenlosen Digestif an. Ich hätte lieber einfach den Originalpreis bezahlt, da es ein teureres Gericht gab. Trotzdem war der Service ziemlich gut, das Essen köstlich und alles zu angemessenen Preisen. Zwei Hauptgerichte, ein Glas Wein und ein Dessert für etwa 30 € sind ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich kann es empfehlen.

Wir wollten eigentlich den letzten Urlaubstag bei einem schönen Abendessen beenden. Massenabfertigung wenn man kein Stammgast ist. Stammgäste werden bevorzugt behandelt. Die Teller werden beim letzten Bissen bereits abgeräumt, auch wenn man noch am Essen ist. Das Geschirr war Überwiegend gesprungen und abgeplatzt. Kellner sehr unpersönlich, im Gespräch keinen Blickkontakt . Zum Hauptgang : Anrichten muss gelernt sein , Teller sahen sehr steril aus und das man bei einer Hauptspeise Gemüse extra Zahlen muss war mir auch neu . Generell alles ohne liebe zubereitet . Das Essen war vorbei ,Gläser abgeräumt aber wir wurden nicht gefragt ob wir ein Dessert oder weiteres Getränk haben wollen , Hauptsache der Tisch ist für den nächsten gleich wieder frei . Unser Fazit : Preise einer gehobenen Gastronomie mit kaputten Geschirr ohne Gemüse und das Wohlfühlerlebnis fehlt .

Essen war ganz gut und schnell fertig aber der Service war ein ganz schönes Gedrängel.

Ich habe zum ersten mal bei dieser Pizzeria bestellt. Die Pizza ist wirklich sehr lecker und viel besser als andere Pizzerien hier in Bad Soden aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Was ich eher negativ finde ist, dass für ,,scharf und knoblauch,, 3,00€ berechnet werden (das ist ja fast schon frech). Hätte ich es früher gewusst oder würde es irgendwo online stehen, dann würde ich es nicht bestellen. Trotzdem werde ich zukünftig bei dieser Pizzaria bestellen aber ohne scharf und knoblauch;)

MeinFrau und ich waren heute seit langem wieder mal im Sole Mio in Bad Soden. Wir hatten sehr langer Zeit gehofft, der Service, das Essen hätten sich verbessert. Leider trifft das nicht zu. Nicht nur das einige Bedienungen schlecht deutsch verstehen, es wurde auch bei einem Tischwechsel aufgrund vieler Fliegen, nicht mal aktiv geholfen. Die Pizzen waren geschmacklich durchschnittlich. Am Ende wurden wir von der Bedienung auchvnicht befragt, ob ws geschmeckt hat. Das hat es nicht. Es tut mir leid, aber wir si d restlos enttäuscht u d waren früher sehr oft dort. Naja, scheinbar ändert sich alles im Lsufe der Zeit. Und unsere Zeit im Sole Mio ist definitiv vorbei, schade.
