Es "war" unser Familien-Italiener und dann kam der Betreiber-Wechsel. Wir haben uns länger nicht hin getraut, weil wir Angst vor einer Enttäuschung hatten. Gestern war es dann aber so weit und wir sind sehr erleichtert. Die Standard-Karte ist geblieben und bietet weiterhin italienische Klassiker, während die Tageskarte in unseren Augen noch abwechslungsreicher geworden ist. Wir hatten Thunfisch-Carpachio, Kalbsleber und Nudeln mit Trüffel und Rinderfilet. Alles von erstklassiger Qualität und sehr lecker zubereitet. Wir kommen jetzt wieder regelmäßig - versprochen!

"Our" family Italian restaurant that has changed hands. We didn't dare go there for a long time and were relieved to realize yesterday: we can still go. The standard menu has remained and the daily menu has become even more unusual and elaborate. Everything that came to the table was of very good quality and very tasty. Keep it up!

There is good, authentic and fresh Italian cuisine here. Both the food, which always uses fresh products, and the service are very good. No more TK Vongole or Frutti di Mare! The additional €5 is more than WELL spent. One of the best Italian restaurants in Cologne.

It was our first time there and our expectations were exceeded. It looks like we have found a new regular Italian.

Today we were in the Santa Maria for the first time since the change of ownership. Sadly, it's not the same as it used to be. A top Italian has become a good, average Italian. The food is of good quality but lacks authenticity. The service is friendly and quick, there's nothing wrong with that. The new owner is Amanprit Singh. If I had a suggestion, I would rethink the business model and focus on authentic cuisine. I suspect that the new team comes from the Indian-German community. The last time we ate Italian food there. I think with authentic cuisine we would like to come back and re-evaluate.

Even if the restaurant looks rather unspectacular from the outside. The food on the daily menu is sensational. The seafood pasta in particular is to die for. At the same time, you can also eat simply and well here. There is something for every taste and budget. Price-performance is unbeatable. Thank you Happy for replacing Anna so gracefully.

Once Upon a time. Have been regular guests for many years and are very sad about the change in ownership. The food has been consistently delicious and unrivaled in Cologne for years. Unfortunately, the level could not be maintained after the change. Even the bruschetta was completely overcooked and the pizza wasn't as good as before. Very unfortunate. Thanks to Anna, Daniel and Angelo for the many years of good hospitality/kitchen and all the best for the future.

Very nice and organized pizzeria, I got 3 good pizzas but really good, the dough and the seasoning were exceptional. The owner and staff are friendly, we'll be back and the prices are very affordable.

I ordered carbonara and a pizza margherita. The pizza looks and tastes quite good. However, I find it questionable to charge €1 for garlic oil. At most pizzerias this is free. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the carbonara. The description says “with eggs, ham and tomato cream sauce”. What I got was dry pasta with 1/4 of a piece of cooked ham for €12... It's a shame after all the 5 star reviews here, I actually expected more. I can't say anything about the ambience since I ordered.

Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give us excellent recommendations for both food and wine. The food was simply sensational. Every course was a work of art, both visually and taste-wise. Particularly worth mentioning was that it was simply heavenly. It was an incredibly beautiful experience both in terms of cuisine and atmosphere. The service is attentive, fast, friendly and very attentive. The recommendations were right for everyone and the food was delicious! Whether it's a simple pizza or an unusual fish or meat dish, everyone will find something here and the quality is incredible. Unfortunately, it's no longer what it used to be since the change of ownership. Totally a shame. It was always my local bar. But it doesn't taste the same anymore and the vibe isn't the same anymore. Really a shame. The new owners are trying hard, but it's no longer original Italian cuisine.

On Christmas afternoon we visited this small place without prior reservation. We ordered insalata mista, fish soup, pizza capricciosa and saltimbocca alla romana. After a while, we received treats - warm rolls with garlic butter and mini bruschetta. The first courses were soon served. The fish soup was tasty, with lots of fish. Fresh lettuce was ok too. Then the second course: pizza and saltimbocca. Everything tasty and freshly prepared. For dessert there was panna cotta and cappuccino. OK too. In total we paid 87 € including 0.75 liters of Lambrusco wine. I recommend

We were seated right on a quiet side street, chairs were comfortable and the table stood firmly without wobbling. The lasagna was good, as was the greeting from the kitchen, you just need to work on the pizza rolls and the hard butter.

The first contact with the staff was an excellent greeting from the kitchen, immediately after the seat was assigned. The order was then taken straight away and we received our pizza within 17 minutes. The waiters were very polite and didn't make you wait long. The outside ambience is due to the location, right on the street and nothing special. But compared to most other restaurants, it at least has an outdoor ambience. The price-performance ratio is excellent. So a clear recommendation to visit the restaurant if you fancy Italian cuisine.

Unfortunately, the previous operators Anna and Daniel seem to have handed over the Pizzeria Santa Maria to new owners. Today's pizza rolls and bruscetta were just a copy of the past. At least the pizza was ok.

An authentic Italian restaurant. We have never been disappointed with our visits approximately every 2 months for the last almost 10 years. We always found the service to be friendly and calm, even when, as is often the case, it gets very busy in the evening. Therefore, a timely reservation is recommended. In summer or on warmer days there are now also seats outside in front of the restaurant.

Das absolute Highlight war der extrem sympathische Service und die sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, da war das super leckere Essen nur das I-tüpfelchen!

Waren heute zu dritt und es war wieder vorzüglich. Wir speisten 2x Gericht von der Tageskarte und 1x Lasagne. Alles perfekt. Der Rosé war süffig und der Limoncello (hausgemacht) ein Gedicht. Das Lokal war gut besucht.

Wir waren an einem Mittwochmittag zum ersten Mal in der Pizzeria Santa Maria und waren rundum begeistert! Obwohl alle Tische besetzt waren, wurden wir nicht weggeschickt und konnten nach kurzer Wartezeit Platz nehmen. Geschmeckt hat es großartig und bedient wurden wir wie alte Freunde! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Der Umgang mit einer älteren Frau ist völlig unhöflich und ekelhaft. Dasselbe sollte in Restaurants nicht getan werden, um Menschen zu empfangen. Hier spreche ich über meine persönlichen Erfahrungen.

Trattoria Atmosphäre pur. Und das ohne rot-weiße Tischdecken. Dafür freundlich, schnell und herzlich. Ein lebendiger Ort mit entsprechender Lautstärke, wenn es voll ist. Trattoria eben 😉 Pasta mit Schwertfisch frisch und lecker.

Was mir am besten gefällt ist, dass der Laden ein bisschen unter dem Radar fliegt. So ein bisschen normal und klassisch, aber sehr gut!

Wir waren spontan Pizzen zum Abholen bestellen vor Ort. Haben sofort die Pizzen gebacken, obwohl der Laden komplett voll war. Extrawunsch war kein Problem. Die Pizza Vegetaria war die beste, die ich je hatte.

Essen bestellt und das kam vollkommen versalzen an. Auf einen telefonischen Hinweis wurde mit einem unfreundlichen „Was willst du denn jetzt?“ und dem Angebot ich kann mir was Neues abholen kommen reagiert. Ton und Wortwahl war allerdings alles andere als akzeptabel - ich hatte das Essen schließlich nicht versalzen. Schade. Update: Nach erneutem Anruf war ein anderer Mitarbeiter am Telefon der sehr freundlich und besonnen regiert hat und veranlasst hat, dass wir eine neue Lieferung des selben Essens bekommen.

This was a no go for me. I ordered the Pasta Funghi and it turned out to be a whole plate of carbs (minimal ingredients), worst part was it was way too salty. I had a spoonful of pasta, picked out the ingredients and left the rest untouched (before - first photo, & after - second photo).

Bester Italiener in Köln. Wir sind dort bereits seit über 20 Jahren regelmäßig. Daniel und sein Team sind wie eine riesige große Familie, in der man sich herzlich willkommen fühlt. Liebevoll wöchentlich individuell zusammengestellte Speisekarte mit vielen Eigenkreationen. Insbesondere die Nudelgerichte sind der Hammer.

ich bestelle dort gerne, weil mir die pizza wirklich außerordentlich gut schmeckt! der käse ist schön würzig, die tomatensauce lecker und der teig einfach mega gut. ich freue mich darauf, wenn ich mal vor ort essen gehe!

Wir sind so froh, dass uns damals unser Freund das Restaurant empfahl. Es ist immer wieder ein unwahrscheinlich schönes Erlebnis hier einzukehren. Das Essen ist durch die Bank ganz toll. Geschmacklich einfach super und der Laden strahlt eine Gemütlichkeit aus, bei der man sich einfach nur wohlfühlen kann. Vielen Dank für die wirklich schönen Genussmomente.

Eine absolute Katastrophe! Zweieinhalb Stunden auf essen gewartet …. Und das für Tomate Mozzarella und was Fleisch als Hauptgang. Absolute Frechheit!!!

Die Atmosphäre finde ich etwas kalt, außerdem war die Tischdecke dreckig. Service wirklich sehr freundlich, aber erheblich zu langsam. Zwischen dem ersten und dem zweiten Getränk musste ich 20 Minuten warten. Als Vorspeise gab es Pizzabrötchen und kleine Bruschetta, aufs Haus, eine sehr freundliche Sache. Suppe und Vitello Tonnato waren lecker. Der Teig der Pizza und der Pizzabrötchen hat mir leider nicht so gefallen, zu fest und nicht luftig, eventuell zu wenig Teigruhe(?). Für Pizza leider nicht meine erste Wahl, werde aber sicher mal ein Nudelgericht versuchen. Kartenzahlung ab 20 Euro.

Mittlerweile wirklich mein Lieblingsrestaurant. Das Essen ist ehrlich, abwechslungsreich und geschmacklich einfach hervorragend. Was Santa Maria vom Rest abhebt, ist dann nochmal sein familiäres Ambiente und der tolle Service, der zum langen und gemütlichen Verweilen einlädt. Top!

Als Gast von außerhalb braucht man echt Glück, denn hier scheint es immer voll zu sein. Aber absolut zu Recht! Das Essen ist wirklich phantastisch! Geschmacklich Klasse, frisch und auf den Punkt. Die Chefin wie es sich in Köln gehört, t kein Blatt vor den Mund und ist eine richtige aber auch sympathische Donna. Wir haben uns hier extrem wohl gefühlt, haben sehr lecker gegessen und werden mit absoluter Sicherheit wiederkommen!

Wir gehen mittlerweile seit Monaten fast wöchentlich hier essen und sind unglaublich begeistert. Vom super leckeren Essen, von der tollen Atmosphäre und vor allem von der Herzlichkeit des gesamten Teams. Es gibt zur Speisekarte eine wechselnde Wochenkarte, die auch immer richtig leckere Speisen bietet. Die Portionen sind sehr groß und die Preise sind absolut fair! Das Santa Maria in Köln ist ein wirklich schönes italienisches Restaurant mit einem besonderen Flair. Wir haben uns direkt ab der Begrüßung bis hin zum Absacker wohl gefühlt. Selten erlebt man heutzutage so ein herzlichen und familiären Service und zugleich so leckeres Essen. Wir haben Pizza und Pasta gegessen und es war top. Genauso wie der empfohlene Wein :) Wenn wir erneut in Köln sein werden, besuchen wir das Lokal definitiv wieder.

Essen sehr lecker und auf der Tageskarte ist immer etwas neues dabei.

Ich bewerte nicht wirklich Restaurants und Essen, weil ich als Koch, immer eine amder Sicht der Dinge nochmal habe, aber das Santa Maria in Köln muss einfach eine Bewertung bekommen. Angefangen von der Chefin, die immer am Reden ist am Tisch , das macht den Flaire schon bevor man bestellt hat... Meine Kinder wurden wie Gäste behandelt und doch so gleich auch als Kinder.... das Essen vom einfachen Grünen Salat mit Essig Öl ( was im übrigen ein so leckeres Olivenöl hat) bis hin zur Pizza aus einem wohl sehr guten Steinofen( habe leider nicht gefragt ob es ein echter Steinofen ist) aber die Pizza sah nicht nur einfach sehr gut aus sondern Sie war auch einfach Mega Lecker... Sobald wir in Köln sind werde ich definitiv nochmals dort Essen
