The food was incredibly delicious and of very good quality. The wait time was pleasantly short, so we were able to enjoy our meal quickly. I would especially like to emphasize the friendly and attentive staff, who made the visit even more enjoyable. The ambiance was also very inviting and harmonious. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza here has declined considerably. The cheese used was clearly not real cheese, but a so-called imitation cheese. (And that's for a 13-euro pizza, o.O.) For those unfamiliar with this: Imitation cheese is an imitation made from vegetable fats or oils, starch, and protein (often from powdered milk or vegetable sources), to which colorings, flavorings, and flavor enhancers are added to mimic real cheese. It has nothing to do with good mozzarella. How can you tell? It melts evenly without any fat settling, forming a compact, rubbery layer. The taste is unnaturally salty, as the flavorings and salt are meant to mask the lack of cheese flavor. The mouthfeel is sticky and floury instead of creamy and pleasant; it doesn't have any real cheese strings. In direct comparison: Real mozzarella tastes mild, milky, and slightly acidic, and melts moistly. Fake cheese tastes salty, artificial, and leaves a plasticky coating on the pizza. For me, that means I won't be ordering from here again. I had the same experience at Don Lillo—best to avoid that one too.

San Remo has been my absolute favorite restaurant for pizza and pasta for over 8 years. Compared to the other pizzerias in Idstein, it's absolutely unbeatable! I will definitely be coming here regularly in the future, and my personal favorite is Pizza Gänsberg! :-) The outdoor seating is great, although the service depends a bit on the day, but that's not a big deal; I really enjoy coming here!

First of all... we've been ordering from San Remo for at least 15 years and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, that's changed recently. Yesterday's order is now prompting this review. Even ordering by phone was a real hassle... unfriendly, because they wanted to order by the name of the dish instead of by number. When picking up... unfriendly. Because the mobile payment didn't work, I was asked if I couldn't read (there's a note hanging up saying: Cash or debit card only, no credit cards). I can pay with my mobile phone "everywhere," but there seem to be problems here. But now to the food... We haven't ordered pizza in quite some time... The dough is too thick (okay, that's a matter of taste) and not crispy, and the pizza is completely soggy. And we always pick it up ourselves, since we live almost around the corner. So we ordered pasta again for lunch (daily special)... Overall verdict: Disaster. Both types of pasta (spaghetti(??) and penne) were completely overcooked and far(!!!) beyond al dente. The penne was already falling apart, as was the spaghetti, and appeared to be cut or broken into pieces. None of the pasta was longer than 5 cm. The taste was okay, but this is just unacceptable. What a shame, really.

We happened upon this “Italian” restaurant by chance and were looking forward to some Italian food. Unfortunately, what we got has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. The salad was soaked with a fatty ready-made dressing, the pasta with an indefinable sauce. The Aperol Spritz wasn't the original either, but tasted like a cheap version from the discount store. What was sold here as Italian was a total disappointment for us. And expensive too!

We have been ordering here for many years and for us it is the best pizza in Idstein. Extra requests for the covering are never a problem and we haven't had any problems with the delivery time either. The pizzas are good and the kebab selection also tastes really great. In summer you can sit in front of the restaurant in the evening and eat your food in the covered outdoor area. Tip: Pizza Arabiata, spicy but delicious :)

I ordered a lasagne and got something indefinable with cheese gratinated on it. Looked more like leftover pasta soaked in sauce or the leftovers that the guests couldn't manage on site. This will definitely be the last time I ordered there.

Firstly, you should say that the prices for pizza are exactly the same elsewhere or even higher than the prices of other meals if you reduce the fries or fried potatoes (far too much on the plate) and adjust the prices accordingly would be better. Both the service and the owner are very friendly and the food tastes good and there is nothing to complain about.

The ambience is left out of the rating because the order was delivered quite quickly. Unfortunately, the pizza and the pasta were a disappointment this time, but that was much better. Into the details of the criticism. The pizza comes in a soggy cardboard box, where the usual separating layer is simply missing. Margherita is generally topped with tomato, mozzarella and possibly fresh basil, but this was dry and hard, more like pizza bread. There were leftover ham in the pasta dish (actually vegetarian), which is not possible. If consumed on site the dish would have been returned.

I find it strange that you can't get spaghetti as a side dish in a restaurant that serves Italian food. So you had to be content with soggy fries, which gave the otherwise good taste a bad aftertaste... very unfortunate. Hence the poorer service rating, because normally a restaurant should respond to the wishes of its customers.

We pre-ordered a table for 6 people in advance. That worked very well. We sat outside because we had our dogs with us. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. The food tasted great. When we are back in Idstein, we will come by again. But I have to make a small compromise. Since the restaurant is located in a housing estate, there are not enough parking spaces. We were lucky that we were able to get a parking space nearby on the street with our motorhome.

Wir sind eigentlich immer mal wieder gerne zu San Remo gegangen. Preis Leistung waren bisher ok, auch wenn so manches mal die Extrazutaten zur Pizza vergessen wurden (aber berechnet). Der letzte Besuch im April war alles andere als ok. Preisaufschlag ~30%! Eine Portion Spagetti Aglio Olio 11,50 €! Am Flughafen Frankfurt kostet die gleiche Portion (serviert) 8,00 €. Hier hat man es offensichtlich übertrieben und das allgemeine "Verständnis" für Preiserhöhungen schamlos ausgenutzt.

We ordered for delivery. Unfortunately, the chicken nuggets weren't to our liking - small, fried too dark, a dark brown indefinable mass inside, not good in taste. Unfortunately we are very disappointed. It was much better before and the prices have become extreme. Cola Zero for €5.20 Chicken nuggets with fries for €10.50 and not edible. My child took a bite and then left it. Salad €8 and extremely little, sometimes as big as a side salad. In pizza, the cheese has changed a lot and it really tastes like chemicals.

Prices are definitely too high. The VAT was not increased upon delivery, yet the prices were increased by more than the VAT increase. That's too bad. We're thinking about whether it's worth ordering here, then I'd rather cook myself.

The price increase is really an outrage. I paid €14 for a pizza that wasn't enjoyable. The pizza was extremely soggy and the fat seeped through the pizza box and the toppings kept falling off while eating. For the price this is really a disgrace. A few months ago the pizza was okay but now I can't recommend it to anyone anymore.

Unfassbar teuer geworden seit dem 1.1.24, alles 2-4 Euro im Schnitt, Pizza Salami jetzt 8,50 , zuvor 6,50 Euro, Jumbo Schinken jetzt 16 anstatt 12 Euro, das ist eine stolze Preissteigerung um 30 % !! , wir gehen nicht mehr hin. Schade.

Leider kann ich das Essen auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen. Wir bestellten Nudeln und sagten am Telefon, dass wir das Gericht gerne ohne Fleisch hätten. Dies wäre laut dem Mitarbeiter am Telefon auch kein Problem. Das Essen kam an, auf den Deckel stand „ohne Hähnchen“. Beim öffnen des Essens wurden wir jedoch enttäuscht, denn obwohl ohne Fleisch bestellt wurde, bekamen wir unser Essen mit Fleisch. Nun riefen wir im Restaurant an und teilten mit, dass ihnen wohl ein Fehler unterlaufen ist…. Als Antwort bekamen wir jedoch, dass Nudelgerichte nicht ohne Fleisch gingen. Der Koch habe extra die großen Stücke Fleisch rausgeholt, aber alles sei nicht möglich. Wirklich unappetitlich… es scheint eine Fertigsoße zu sein, da es nicht möglich ist, Gerichte nach Wunsch zuzubereiten . Eine kurze Information im Vorhinein wäre schön gewesen!

Beste Pizza weit und breit. Auch liefern klappt hervorragend. Super freundliches Personal. Tagliatelle mit Steinpilzen , lecker. Habe noch die Lasagne probiert, wie die Pizza mit echt viel Käse. Egal ob Abholung, liefern lassen oder vor Ort essen.

Der Service war super, alle waren freundlich. Getränke und das Essen kam sehr schnell. Ich hatte eine Pizza, einen beilagen Salat und Nachtisch. Die Portionen waren genau richtig. Preis Leistung ist super. Gerne wieder.

Haben Pizza und Nudeln bestellt sowie bruchetta. Die vorspeise sehr gelungen. Die Nudeln für mein Sohn schmeckten leider hauptsächlich nach Fett und Fisch. Schade! Die Pizza an sich fein. Das einzige was ich schade fand war das der Knoblauch den man bestellt mit jeder menge Petersilie vermischt ist. Die Petersilie nimmt dem Knoblauch leider den Geschmack und die Schärfe ein bisschen aus den Segeln.

Habe ein einblick in die Küche gehabt was mir sehr gefallen hat. Da sah man wie schön sauber und frisch alles ist. Super schnell zubereitet. Da sind Profis am Werk. Sind jetzt fertig mit dem essen. Ich komme seit Anfang an hier her (da war es noch ein "to go neben dem Geldautomaten" und wurde nie enttäuscht. Jedes Essen - für mich immer wieder "Pizza Uwe"- ist ein Genuss. Mit Herz und Verstand hat Yusuf das San Remo zu einer Idsteiner Institution gemacht. Die beste Pizza im Umkreis von 50 Km. Schön zu sehen, dass sie Töchter und Söhne auch schon helfend dabei sind. Übrigens ist der Lieferservice seit Jahren der zuverlässigste im Idsteiner Land. Wie versprochen, so geliefert. Immer heiß, immer gut! Sehr sauber und gepflegt. Man trifft jung und alt, Stammgäste und Laufkundschaft. Schöne Terrasse mit "Guck-Faktor". Ich habe meine Hochzeit dort gefeiert - und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Auch größere Runden werden gut versorgt und gastronomisch verwöhnt.

Having tried to eat elsewhere we arrived at Pizzeria San Remo, they were in middle of opening but we were made to feel welcome. Delightful young lady served us our well presented and tasty pasta dishes and drinks. Unfortunately we had the embarrassment of not having cash, (they only accept cash or German bank cards) The young lady said it wasn’t a problem but it was to us so my companion went off to find a cash machine. Such a different experience to the previous place we tried. Thank you for being so understanding

Wir wohnen in Laufnähe und bestellen etwa einmal die Woche Pasta, Pizza und/oder Salate zum Abholen. Zubereitung geht immer sehr schnell - selbst Sonntags max. 20 Minuten - und das Essen ist immer sehr lecker. Die Preise sind angesichts der guten Qualität und der großzügigen Portionen angemessen und gehen absolut in Ordnung. Klare Empfehlung!

Tja, schon die Begrüßung würde durch ein Telefonat unterbrochen. Ein Zweiertisch mitten in einem großen hellen Raum würde uns zugewiesen. Kalter Steinfliessenboden, graue Backsteintapete, und eine kahle, weiße Decke ergänzten das Ambiente. Sehr Laute Akutik, da gut besucht. Meine Lassange wurde lauwarm serviert... Naja, wir haben schnell bezahlt und sind gegangen.

Wir kommen wieder in 10 Jahren, um zu sehen, ob der Expresso immer so teuer ist ! 2,80€ !!!! In einer ganz normalen Kneipe !
