We only picked up food for 2 families. Arrived a little earlier, got 2 cyclists on the house and a nice chat with the staff. Food was excellent

I can really only recommend La Grotta. No matter whether pizza, pasta or salad - it tastes good! The service is great and the employees are all very friendly and always happy to have a little chat.

The pizzeria is in the heart of Fischen. If you want to sit outside, you should reserve a table. We were a large number of people for this reason we ate in the restaurant. A cellar restaurant always sounds dark at first, but the ambience here is very well done. The service is quick and very friendly. The map is manageable and not so crowded. The food we ordered was very tasty. Many locals say it is the best Italian in the area. What we can confirm.

The pizza was fresh, hot and delicious. The Calamari alla Griglia (Grilled squid) was not good: very firm, barely grilled and stuffed with raw parsley and hard, uncooked garlic cloves. There were also some very crispy potato pieces as well as almost uncooked eggplant and zucchini slices... and that for almost €30. We sat outside - it was far from "cozy"... But as I said: the pizza was good!

We ordered to pick up there twice in July. There was a misunderstanding about the portion size. And even though the restaurateur was in the right, I received a portion for free on the second order. The boss was very, very hospitable, something that is very rare today. We will order there again next year. The pizzas and pasta dishes taste typically Italian. And everyone is very friendly even when there is a lot to do. Please keep it up!

I had a severe allergic reaction while eating a salad (Insalata bella Italia) and had to stay in the hospital overnight. When I contacted the restaurant the next day to ask about the "house dressing" ingredients, they assured me that they would provide me with a list. When I wanted to pick it up and speak to the manager, there was no list prepared for me. The manager said he couldn't imagine it coming from the food. It was warm and a different air here for vacationers... He then wrote me the ingredients of the dressing on a note (no exact quantities or ingredients). I didn't feel like I was being taken seriously, but it's important to my survival in the future! There was no compensation or similar accommodation!

I had the pleasure of visiting Pizzeria La Grotta and all I can say is that it exceeded all my expectations. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a pleasant, cozy atmosphere and a friendly team. The highlight of the evening was of course the food. The selection of pizzas is impressive and ranges from classic margheritas to creative specialties. I chose the "Pizza Gianluca" and it was simply fantastic. The dough was perfectly crispy yet airy, and the ingredients were high quality. The service was also first class. The service was attentive, friendly and always available without being intrusive. My food was served quickly and the waiter asked several times whether everything was to my satisfaction. Another plus point is the price-performance ratio. The prices are more than fair for the quality of the food and the excellent service. In summary, I can highly recommend Pizzeria La Grotta. Whether for a cozy evening with friends, a romantic dinner or a family meal - everyone will find something to their taste here. Many thanks to the La Grotta team for an unforgettable evening!

Very tasty pizza & pasta. Parking spaces can only be found in town (no customer parking spaces). The staff only spoke very broken German and the restaurant was very noisy.

Great Italian restaurant in downtown Fischen. The pizzas from the wood-fired oven are delicious, and pasta and bruschetta also taste great. Desserts such as tiramisu, tartufo or pana cotta should definitely not be missed. The portions fill you up and the pizzas are also a decent size. The price performance ratio is very good. The restaurant is located "in the basement" and it's sometimes hard to find a seat. Reservations on Friday/Saturday make sense, especially if you have more than the cat table. Everything is rounded off by the very nice owner and his employees. Update August 16, 2022 Today again the food was delicious and the service was friendly. The bruschetta was also great 👍🏻 Hard to get a seat in the evening without a reservation. But something usually always works with two people 😊 Update 07/04/24: Been there ten times now, always delicious, fast and friendly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Ordered a pizza to take away at 8:50 p.m., service was nice, price was steep, you had to pay just under 10 euros for a super-thin, medium-sized margerita. Not cut, no oregano. Very thin tomato sauce that tastes unspectacular. It wasn't worth it.

The best pizza and pinsa ever!!! The combination of ingenious dough, wonderful toppings and the right pizza oven is a guarantee of quality that is second to none! Absolute recommendation!!!

Friendly service and good food await you in this restaurant. It is definitely advisable to reserve in advance, a spontaneous visit usually fails because this restaurant is (rightly) very popular.

After careful consideration, I would like to present an assessment. A salad with a yogurt dressing and canned corn and carrots at the Italian restaurant doesn't work at all. Furthermore, a reservation of the salad after or shortly after the reservation of the main course is also not possible. The main courses were also not cooked to perfection. When asked by the boss, everything was OK. We gave an honest answer. Unfortunately no response was received. We're just tourists and a transit guard. Hopefully things will be better for you.

Although it was well attended, we spontaneously got a place for 3 people. The food was delicious, whether it was pizza, tortellini or ravioli. The staff is very nice and accommodating.

Truly exceptional structure, kind and friendly staff, delicious dinner: the best pizza in all of Fischen and the surrounding area. Congratulations to all the staff: especially to the pizza chef Antonio who makes delicious pizzas; To chef Vito who makes delicious first courses; To the owner Fabrizio who really made us have fun in the room throughout the evening. I highly recommend you go there if you are nearby.

Three of us were there for dinner today and I can't agree with the positive reviews. Fake friendliness of the service with the usual doctor/professor chatter, subterranean bruschetta with extremely thin, partly doughy bread and extremely sweet balsamic cream on top. It was really bad. Spaghetti with prawns in white wine without any kick with partly still raw prawns, pizzas very well topped, but totally soggy and not crispy at all. Ambience okay. People are always more generous on vacation, but unfortunately this is not a recommendation at all! But it's always full anyway, most people seem to like it, but unfortunately not me! Bon appetit!

The restaurant is located in the basement of the building. Very nice rooms! There is also an outdoor area directly on the street. The food is first class and I have rarely eaten such good pizza. The pasta dishes are also delicious! The boss is an “original” and his sayings are simply refreshing!

Were very satisfied before yesterday evening, have been to the pizzeria several times, but when we arrived last night We ordered at 6:40 p.m. and we arrived At 7:15 p.m. there was still no food, although the guests who came after us (16) had all already had their food, we paid for the drinks and left. The pizzeria tried to keep us there, but what's too much is too much. Hence my negative opinion about the pizzeria.

After 45 minutes we noticed that we hadn't received any food yet. Really pissed, I don't need to go there anymore.

We ate here today for the second time on our vacation. What can I say, the food is just great. The whole environment here is perfect. You feel like you are in Italy.

The quality of the food is excellent. The service staff is happy to respond to the guests' wishes. Very suitable for smaller groups, for two or for families with children of all sizes. Price performance perfect!

Clear recommendation. The pizza is huge and well topped. The pasta was also very tasty. Big portion. Very friendly service and so dog friendly. Lovely again.

We ate various dishes several times with up to seven people - Pizza Regina, Tagliatelle Grotta, etc. On the recommendation of the attentive, courteous and friendly waitress Barbara - always in a good mood - we ordered the Pinsa Etna: simply fantastic! Recommendation to Fabrizio: on our next visit we are looking forward to the Pinsa Barbara/Babsi - hot, spicy and crispy!

Actually it should be five stars, but there seems to be a plague of flies there that annoy you while you eat. The food is super tasty and the service is very nice and friendly. The prices are also top. However, it is strongly recommended to reserve!

Five of us (parents & 3 kids) ate pizza and pasta plus side salads. Everything was very tasty from the pizza dough, to the tortellini and the salads including dressing. I felt very comfortable and welcome and would like to come back if possible on this holiday! Eating took a while, but we were probably there at rush hour. Not a good time for hungry children. 😄 Thanks and all the best!

The restaurant is located on a play street, in a basement. Ordered takeaway food. The friendly lady on the phone said it would take 20 minutes. Since it's difficult to park on Spielstrasse, I got there on time. Unfortunately I had to wait another 20 minutes for the food to be ready. The portion of the lasagna was surprisingly small. It won't satisfy an adult, but it costs €13. A quarter of the surface of the pizza calzone was burnt black and the ingredient salami was missing. The mushrooms looked more like they had been taken from a jar or can, not fresh. The rigatoni was good, but, like all three portions, quite bland. We don't eat anything extremely spicy or particularly spicy. But there wasn't much to be gained in terms of taste. It may have been a bad chef's day, but we wondered why this restaurant currently has 4.7 stars. It's a shame, but maybe we'll give the restaurant another chance. We'll be happy to edit this review if the food is better on the second try.

It was easy to get a seat at lunchtime. You should make a reservation in the evening, I learned from a conversation. Both of our pizzas were excellent! The service was also very friendly. Update 05-2023: You can also get the spaghetti carbonara here authentically without cream. I would recommend this variant to anyone who likes carbonara. These made it into my top three.

We had dinner at La Grotta with 15 people on a holiday evening. We had very good service and also got very good food. Unfortunately the food arrived quite late, but it wasn't too bad. We had the starter plate, which was very tasty, and I also had a Quattro Stagione pizza.

The food is of exceptional quality. Friends from France were also thrilled. The service from the owners is excellent and a visit is highly recommended. I actually didn't want to give this rating because then there might not be a table available for us.

We have to say that this was the BEST authentic pizza we have eaten in Germany so far. We lived in Napoli - the home of pizza - for 6 years. We know good pizza! The dough/crust is where the magic is. We were very impressed by the overall preparation of their REAL, authentic Italian food. Highly recommended.

You can find the restaurant very quickly, even if you're not a local. It is located in the basement of a house and is really comfortably furnished. My little dog and I were warmly welcomed and the lovely service staff were very attentive but not intrusive at all. I received my food very quickly and it tasted great. I can really recommend the restaurant without reservation. Also for dog owners! Thanks to the team for choosing such a quiet table in the corner for us. The dog and I felt very comfortable!

Were in Fischen at Easter with the motorhome and discovered the pizzeria. Absolutely top. The food was very good and very quick. On the first visit I had a pizza and it was very good. I haven't had such a good pizza in Germany. On the second visit. Pasta was definitely recommended too very good thank you We'll be back, greetings Christian

Super friendly staff, great service, great food. We ate pizza, salad, pasta and pinsa. The pizza was super tasty, large, thin-based and topped with the perfect amount of toppings. The pasta with shrimp was fresh, perfectly al dente and a large portion. Plus a terrific Limoncello Spritz and the price is absolutely fair. We'd love to come back!

For me the best pizza in Oberallgäu! Excellent quality of food. Very good service. Unfortunately, the restaurant is located in a basement with no windows, which spoils the ambience a bit. But you don't have cell phone reception and can spend an evening undisturbed. In summer there is a small terrace in front of the house, which allows for a very nice meal.

Mega delicious homemade pizza. Beautiful catacomb ambience and rustic service. We paid just under €60 for 3 pizzas and 4 drinks and it was worth every bit. If fishing then go to La Grotta

Had 2 pizzas and salads to go. The salad was virtually inedible. Cheap bagged salad drowned in a disgusting dressing. More dressing than salad. The pizzas were ok, but the dough was very salty.

Were greeted very friendly. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. The pizzas are "really" big and crispy and topped with plenty of ingredients. The ambience in these rooms, as it is, is a bit old/rustic... but that doesn't detract from the food.

We were at la Grotta on the first evening of our vacation. We had the opportunity to eat there at 8:30 p.m., which is a challenge for the Allgäu. The pizzeria is in the basement and was at 8pm; 30pm when we arrived, packed. The pizza was very, very tasty, as was the salad except for the salad dressing. Price-performance ratio okay. Recommendation

Had pizza to go. Went very quickly. (20 minutes from call). The pizzas are so delicious. Rarely have I had such a good pizza. The dough is really delicious! Also delicious cold the next day. The only drawback was that the pizza wasn't cut and unfortunately we weren't asked. So we had to tear the pizza apart.

Pizza final stops The end of the flagpole. - We had several different pizzas and were really disappointed. Because of the otherwise positive reviews, we specifically ordered from there. Unfortunately an error. The pizzas were all dry and didn't taste like anything. A pity. - Others can do it much better!
