The best restaurant in Fischen! The chef himself is in the kitchen and cooks with incredible love and passion – you can taste it in every dish. Even if it takes a little longer at full capacity with two dining rooms, the main hall, and the terrace, the wait is well worth it because the result is simply culinary excellence. The staff is superbly on the ball, attentive, and friendly. Our favorite waitress, Magdalena, in particular, makes every visit special – for many years, she has always kept a table free for us "under the Aloysius" during our vacations. The rooms are also very beautiful and inviting. For us, the Krone is an integral part of every stay in Fischen – highly recommended!

I was in Fischen with a friend and had two dinners at Gasthof Krone. 1: braised ox, dumplings, and salad. And peppered schnitzel with rösti (fried potatoes). 2: salad with fried char fillet and homemade bread. And I had the braised roast for the second time. This roast is so tender you don't need teeth to chew it. 😋😋😋😋😋 The service was veeeery friendly and attentive. What does it matter if you have to wait, considering the quality of the food?

The Gasthof zur Krone in Fischen im Allgäu is simply a gem! From the moment you enter, you sense the warm, attentive atmosphere – the staff remains incredibly friendly and accommodating, even in stressful moments. We were particularly impressed by how lovingly our dog was cared for. The food is a feast for anyone who loves Bavarian cuisine: fresh, perfectly prepared, and served with that unmistakable Allgäu charm. Everything is just right here – we'll definitely be back!

We went there for dinner. The food was delicious. The staff gave us recommendations. In addition to the set menu, there's also a daily special. Parking is available on-site. We were completely satisfied.

An excellent restaurant with home-style cooking of a quality that's rare these days. We ate there every evening and were particularly impressed by the venison dishes and the roast ox. The soups and sauces are also exceptionally delicious; you can get by without Maggi, Knorr, and the like. Insider tip for dessert: the creme brulee (the best of all, in our opinion).

We had reserved a table for two. After being seated, we waited about 20 minutes for the server to arrive and take our order (it felt like 28°C in the dining room). Another 10 minutes later, the drinks arrived. In the meantime, other guests arrived and were treated promptly and courteously. Their food was served very quickly, and we were still waiting. After about an hour and 15 minutes, our ordered food finally arrived. The service is very friendly, but could be a bit more prompt once the drinks were empty. The price is justified for the good food.

Very, very tasty! We were here just for dinner and were delighted. A quaint, cozy beer garden. Very friendly staff and absolutely fabulous food. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back. Keep up the good work! :)

I was at the Gasthof Krone again today. I've been coming to the Krone for years and am always impressed by the food and the staff. Simply world-class service and value for money.

Incredibly delicious restaurant with good food and a great selection! We came here spontaneously in the evening and reserved a table. It wasn't that busy, and we had free seating on the terrace. The selection of food and drinks was very good. The daily specials also offer some delicious delicacies. We ultimately opted for a pancake soup for starters, an original Wiener schnitzel, and the char salad. It was incredibly delicious and beautifully prepared. We didn't lack for anything, and we can wholeheartedly recommend the Gasthof Krone!

We were warmly welcomed at the entrance by the very friendly waiter. The restaurant is very cozy, tidy, and clean. The service was first-class from starter to finish. Our dishes, from the starter salad to the venison goulash with croquettes, the roast beef with onions and spaetzle and red cabbage, and the roast venison with dumplings and red cabbage, were all perfectly tasty, and our plates were completely devoured. The portions are generous and the prices are excellent. The quality of the meat and side dishes is excellent. The dessert and, of course, the drinks were also excellent. Everything tasted exceptionally good, with very reasonable prices and decent portions. The menu is varied even without salmon, prawns, and curry. Unfortunately, vegetables are missing. The salads are plentiful and good. Dessert is highly recommended.

We were at the inn for dinner on November 1st, 2024. Had the pepper loin and the salad with the fried char. Both dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients. I also have to mention the homemade baguette that was served with the salad. A dream. The evening was rounded off with a chocolate cake with a liquid center... 😋 Very friendly service.

Reservation was not honored. We were asked to wait until the table was free. After 25 minutes we asked what it looked like. The waitress informed us that the table had been given to someone else. It's very loud there and you can hardly have a conversation

We were there for dinner with the wish car on Friday October 4th, 2024 and felt very comfortable. Very nice welcome, absolutely delicious food and great, attentive and very friendly service. There was also live music that evening which really matched the ambience. I can absolutely recommend the inn. 5/5 stars. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Update: One year later: We are still enthusiastic about the best food in Fischen: Kässpatzen, spinach dumplings and onion roast roast, all super tasty, they cook with regional products. The waitresses are very courteous and quick to fulfill your wishes. We look forward to next year. Be sure to reserve a table, it's really easy to do online.

Super tasty and nice service, gladly again

NOT RECOMMENDED! It's hard to put into words what a bitter disappointment this establishment is - an absolute disaster! The overwhelmed waiters create such a chaotic atmosphere that one wonders whether there is even a minimum level of organization here. The unbearably long waiting times and the separate serving of food added to the already frustrating experience so much that even one star would be far too generous for this miserable service. While the food itself was good, that doesn't make up for the rest of the experience. I can say with certainty that we will never visit this place again.

Delicious food at a fair price! You can come here with a clear conscience (reservation is recommended). In summer there is also a beautiful terrace with a wonderful view.

Licking food. Unfortunately drinks only after 40 minutes of waiting and food after 1.5 hours of waiting. Unfortunately that was too long for us and from our point of view it didn't make it an experience.

Not recommended at peak times! First there was chaos when allocating a table, despite booking in advance, then after more than 40 minutes we still couldn't receive any drinks let alone place an order. The waitress had lost track of things and was partly at a loss. Thanks for nothing!

Very tasty food! Worth every penny.

The three of us were here as a family on a Sunday. You can reserve your table and time online. This is really optimal and highly recommended. It is very busy (we were there during the summer holidays) and without making a reservation you may not be able to get a seat. What's worth emphasizing is how friendly and attentive the staff is, especially towards children :-) The food and drinks were top! We would love to come back and thank you for everything :-)

Crusty roast and Wienerschnitzel, highly recommended.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms as we only ate there but the food is phenomenally large portions, great starters, very nice waiters and a wonderful ambience. It is dog friendly and very short waiting time. All in one a very good restaurant/accommodation where you can eat there all week long.

For us the tastiest food in the region! We tried out many restaurants during our 14-day vacation and everything was perfect here. The food is super delicious. The homemade salad dressing is amazing, as are the pan-fried schnitzel and the fried potatoes. Also super nice, friendly and attentive service. No question, we will definitely be back.

We had dinner here this evening and can recommend the kitchen. Delicious food and large portions. The burger was a little too pink for us, but it was cooked without any problems. The beef goulash with mashed potatoes was delicious! Many thanks to the kitchen and the service. All recommended!

Five of us went here for dinner several times. Our baby and our 2 dogs also felt very comfortable. Service was very friendly and the food was always delicious. Every time the meat was butter tender. The restaurant is definitely a recommendation.

In addition, all employees are friendly and willing to give advice. Due to high demand, reservations are particularly useful for outdoor areas. We'd love to come back!

If you can get Kaiserschmarren here, it must also be offered during peak times. We left again, not even a star from me 😢 such a mess. Thank God there are also other restaurants, like Kreuzwirt, yay

We came here spontaneously once in the evening and with a reservation the other time - both times it was great, the food tasted great and the service was very friendly and attentive! It is located right next to the train station and is simply inviting, highly recommended.

We have eaten at the Krone several times and also taken it home to go. Always great! Very tasty dishes. The game dishes and also the steaks are particularly recommended. These are fried personally by the boss and each level of doneness is served as desired. The girls in service are on their toes and it's always nice.

No statements can be made about the hotel and the rooms, as we were only at the Gasthof Krone for dinner. The dining room was very well filled and the 3 waitresses (including the counter) were busy and yet attentive and friendly. Lucy deserves special mention here.

You sit very nicely. The pan schnitzel was very good. The spaetzle as a side dish could have used a little more flavor. The dishes on the other tables all looked very good. Overall recommended.

We ate in the restaurant today and had the Kronepfanne. "Pork medallion with spaetzle" 3 small, tough pieces of meat in an indefinable, fatty sauce with spaetzle (without any taste). When we came home shortly afterwards, we had the "fast Otto". Any further comment is therefore unnecessary!!!!

The daily menu here had deer schnitzel, which my wife ordered! The deer schnitzel was very tender and particularly tasty, we had never eaten such a deer schnitzel before! I had the pepper schnitzel with saddle of beef and pork fillet, it was also very good, but some pieces of saddle of beef were not fried as pink as the more tender pieces, the pork fillet was very good and also tender! The service was nice and helpful! The restaurant was full and we can only recommend it!

I ate a fantastically good venison schnitzel here today, it was so tender and so tasty. To date I have not found a deer schnitzel on a menu. Kudos to the chef.

Unfortunately, despite the reservation, we waited over an hour for food (roast pork).

We ate here 5 times out of our 12 days of vacation, and it was good 👍 The first time we came without a reservation, but the very nice service staff made it possible for us to stay and sat us at the regulars' table - great. On the other days we made reservations via cell phone, which I found very practical. Always had great seats, all three waitresses were super nice and attentive, thank you again for that.

We visited the inn for the first time today and had dinner there and what can I say, all the dishes were more than plentiful, the staff were very friendly and we had a very nice evening.

The food was generally good but it took a long time. In a large group, the food arrived delayed by over 30 minutes. When the train goes past it is rather loud.

We went there for dinner with our dog, who was welcomed inside. We had the Kronenpfännle with Schwein medallions. It was very tasty, so much in quantity that we could not finish but could take the rest home in a box. Very nice feature! Otherwise the service was friendly but a bit slow since the restaurant was full.

Luckily the great waitresses “from before” are back 🥳 So it’s fun to come by again 👌🏻👏🏻
