Very good pizza, friendly staff. Normal price and little waiting. Also recommended for eating out in the evening with the cool.

The food was delicious. I think it's a shame the portion was very small. But that's standard these days. The part of the restaurant where we sat looked a bit like a construction site. Electrical cables were hanging from the ceiling. The service was very friendly.

Expectations were high; my pizza was burnt around the edges, with a very thin, crumbly crust. My wife's salad was mush. The Aperol Spritz had no carbonation. We were disappointed.

The ambiance, service, food, and value for money were top-notch. My only criticism: the gangster music we heard when we were here wasn't my cup of tea. 😂 Otherwise, I absolutely recommend it!

This was our first time at this Italian restaurant and we were absolutely thrilled with the food! Both the pizza and pasta were fantastic – fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious. The service was initially very attentive and quick, even though the restaurant was busy. Unfortunately, the service slowed down a bit later on as it emptied out – we had to wait longer, and the waitresses were barely visible. That was a bit of a shame, but it only slightly detracts from the overall very positive impression. The location is great – quickly accessible by train, making it easy to visit even without a car. We'll definitely be back!

THE REVIEWS ARE NOT MADE UP!! Superb start to our trip. The best chicken penne (Alfredo style) iv ever had, the best ravioli my US cousin has ever had, brilliantly fresh and tasty pizzas - made in an authentic way, even my mums soup was delish! Service was attentive, helpful and friendly. Price was high but that’s pretty much everywhere now. We may go again!

We were lucky to get a table. The food was delicious but since it had so many great reviews, I was not that convinced. It was a good pizza in my opinion. The atmosphere of the place was really nice and the staff was friendly. If you are in the area, I would recommend it.

We came for lunch. We ordered steak and pizza with soft drinks. The pizza was delicious and hot. The steak was dry. We asked for medium and it came medium well. Nice atmosphere.

Given the number of reviews and an average of 4.8 stars, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The restaurant itself is very atmospheric. We were also helped quickly. The employee did his job, but unfortunately he could not smile. The lasagna was not special. My husband really liked his pizza, however. We both found the chocolate mousse tasteless. So, a great restaurant in itself. However, the differences in service per employee and taste experience per dish seem to be very big.

I definitely recommend it. Absolutely perfect environment, perfect taste.

I didn't feel like I was in Berlin at all with you. A little rhyme as a thank you. The food came so quickly, we hardly had to wait. Eating with you, our evening could now begin. A real competition between service and food. Who will get the better rating, who will compete? Everything was perfect, a gem in the heart of Berlin. Next time, rest assured, we'll go back! Very tasty pizza and pasta. The pizza dough was well baked and there were a lot of toppings and good quality. Pasta with chicken is my favorite. Pasta cooked to perfection and the sauce was creamy and very cheesy. It is worth going there if you are in the area

I ordered a goat cheese salad with grilled vegetables and strips of beef steak at Pizzeria Marienkäfer. The salad was really delicious, and so were the steak strips. The quality of the food is really good at a very fair price. The selection of dishes is also very varied, even for people who don't eat pizza. (I'm mainly on a keto diet.) The only thing I can say is that the Pinot Grigio unfortunately didn't taste quite as good, but it was still okay. All in all, I'm still happy to give it 5 stars because of the super delicious, fresh salad and the fast delivery.

We had pasta, pizza, and an appetizer plate. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. When it comes to pizza, I prefer a slightly thicker crust and a moist crust; it's a matter of taste.

Large, pretty good pizzas, at the same price as in Spain, between 10 and 15 euros depending on the one you order. Very friendly staff. They don't serve you at the table; you order at the counter, they charge you, and they give you a little device that beeps when your pizza is ready so you can go and get it. Very fast service.

The food was okay. The price was a bit high, but that's to be expected given the location. Otherwise, it looked pretty chic. The waitress didn't serve us at first, then apparently double-booked drinks and kept coming back to us to ask who had ordered the beer. There was a drag dance show that evening. It was my first time at the place and I have no idea if it's a regular event. In any case, the music was extremely loud the entire evening. You could barely have a conversation with the person sitting in front of you. It pretty much ruined my evening. If I want to listen to loud music and yell at my friends to talk to them, I'll go to a club, not a restaurant.

The Marienkäfer pizzeria pleasantly surprised us! The food was truly delicious, and despite not having a reservation, we were seated spontaneously. The location is cozy and charmingly quirky—very inviting. The service was attentive and friendly, and we even got a nightcap on the house at the end. A definite recommendation!

Delicious food in three dining rooms on different sides of the street. Friendly staff, a good selection, and prices are typical for the area. Seasoning is up for debate, but that's a matter of taste, as is whether you prefer a very thin batter like this or something a little stronger. The walls and wall openings in the main restaurant show that work is (still) underway here; there are clear signs of construction in places. When the restaurant is full, you can barely hear yourself.

One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten in Germany: thin, crispy dough, easy to digest and delicious toppings. The mixed starter plate also went far beyond the usual monotony. Plus fast, professional service without student waitresses (sorry)... Absolutely recommended!

Incredible freshness! This is counter service, place your order restaurant. Wonderful,relaxed atmosphere with outdoor seating. My husband and I enjoyed the bruschetta and pizza with mushroom, ham & artichoke. They also have a full service bar. We were tended to by Ravi. Terrific service. our meal was €37 and included the above water, Prosecco and a glass of wine.

Popped in here for dinner one night after reading good reviews online. Beautiful ambience and decor with a seated view of the kitchen. Food and service super quick and quality great. Definitely recommend if you fancy a pizza while you’re in Berlin

The natural salad with bread was delicious. The spaghetti Bolognese was rather average. International interesting store. I'll come back and have a pizza. Self-service lunchtime.

We had reserved in advance and were there on time - unfortunately there was no space available for us at first. However, the team reacted quickly and spontaneously pushed tables together. Our place was right in the entrance area, where you could see everything that was going on. It was very lively, but not really bothersome for us. The food was really tasty, the pizza was fresh and tasty - you can tell the quality here! The service was also friendly and attentive. A small negative point: One chair was defective and needed to be replaced urgently! Nevertheless, a successful visit – we would love to come back!

The three of us ate in the restaurant and it was our first time there. The service seemed a bit rough and visibly un-relaxed right from the start. The food and drinks came quite quickly, apart from the fact that three service staff had to come for one drink until the right drink was finally in front of me. The pizzas were really good, although the price leaves a bit to be desired given the size. When we wanted to pay, I asked for a bill after giving the money. The waiter looked at us and said irritably: "Why didn't you say that before? This will now take 10 to 15 minutes..." After 50 minutes of pure ignorance on the part of the service team, we asked again and we received our bill after discussion, with the reasoning: "Yes, I just have to register it manually first and that takes time." So all in all good food, but service is forgettable.

Very tasty food. Great service and great area. We were very satisfied and can highly recommend this restaurant. The vegetables are fresh, the meat is of great quality and the pizzas are made to a high standard. Everything fresh and delicious.

Nice sunny spots – really nice to sit outside. But self-service? In the middle? Come on, this feels like Prenzlauer Berg ordered on Wish. Prices for the food are okay, but for a Cabonara, Caesar salad and two Cokes you can easily go for 30 euros. Unfortunately, the Cabonara came in the German cream version - so nothing with the original Italian flair. You can do it, but you don't have to.

Food was very tasty; both pasta and pizza as well as starter (bruscetta). The ambience is great, the waiters are very friendly. We had to call attention to ourselves for more drinks, but it was also full and we were served very quickly. Gladly again.

Food was really okay. The one star comes from the fact that the prices for spirits are absolutely exorbitant. I'm a whiskey lover and just wanted to drink a standard whiskey as a successful ending. That's why I chose the 15 year old Glenfiddich (4cl). Unfortunately I didn't ask about the price beforehand. But I didn't think anything of it because it was just a normal whiskey and nothing extremely special. The bottle costs around €45 and I paid €12 for another 4cl. An absolute impudence and completely exaggerated, with such horrendous prices you might as well give a hint. That a middle class whiskey costs €12.

Given the central location of the restaurant, I didn't have high expectations when we spontaneously came by with four people. I was extremely positively surprised. We had pasta, pizza and salad. The food was consistently of high quality, the pizza was crispy and tasty. The service was quick and the prices were completely reasonable! I'd love to come back.

The service was very poor. One of the dishes the waiter forgot to bring on the table, but … put it on the bill. The lazania was made from peaces of beef souse and some pasta. Don’t understand why this restaurant is highly ranked.

We particularly enjoyed the pizza. One star was deducted because it was very hectic and loud around us. However, we got a table without a reservation and were served nicely. However, the staff walked around us very quickly, so it was quite restless.

Excellent pizza dough and really delicious pizza overall! The four of us shared a large pizza and paid about €10 each, including drinks. Our special request for vegan cheese was no problem, and the staff were very committed to ensuring we were seated and didn't feel left out in the meantime. 👍 One small quibble: We later noticed that we were apparently charged €1 each for the additional plates we ordered to share the pizza, which I don't think is appropriate.

I liked very good reviews, so before my train ride home, I stopped by for a pizza. It was around 3pm, so outside peak hours and I had a feeling I am bothering the service by my presence. Pizza was okay, not great, not terrible. Not really worth 4,8/5 rating here, but I kind of know why this place has such high rating. Originally this review had no text, just 3 stars and has been removed by Google because of apparent defamation, likely after owners report. Not cool.

We visited the restaurant on March 14, 2025, with a total of 13 colleagues and had a very pleasant evening. The reservation went smoothly, and everything went smoothly on site. The ambiance was pleasant, and the dishes were not only visually appealing but also tasted well—above all, fresh, high-quality, and prepared with great attention to detail. The waitresses who served us were very friendly and accommodating, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back ☺️

The name doesn't suggest Italian cuisine, but this (now no longer so) small restaurant specializes in it. The pizza is excellent: large, flat, both crispy and soft at the same time, balanced toppings. For me the best pizza at least in Berlin. I eat here regularly for lunch. The quality of the pasta dishes varies between good (3+/2-) and very good (2+/1-), usually with quite a bit of garlic.
