I sincerely love this place sooooo much. In the 6 weeks that I've been in Berlin I've been here on a weekly basis, despite the fact that I live in Friedrichshain. I literally wake up and crave Dosa like never before! The Cheese Dosa Masala is my go-to happy place but Ive also enjoyed the Pani Puri, Samosa Chat and new additions to the menu such as Vegetable Manchurian. The beer selection is small but it includes a couple of my favourites such as Guiness and Corona. The nigerian Guiness is so strong itll send you reeling if youre not careful. On a hot day I like to sit at a table outside playing cards and enjoying the funky play list. The staff are so welcoming. I will be back!!!

Unfortunately everything was fine 2 years ago. Now there is very bad service. The quality has also become very poor. There's only one person working here right now who looks like he doesn't feel like working.

There are lots of Indian products in the well-stocked shop. Also fresh things like fresh curry leaves. There is also a restaurant in the store with great food. When I was here it was very tasty and like I was sitting in India :)

I am from india and I can safely say that this is the most homey meal I have eaten. From their dosa to vada pav to gulab jamun. They have superb tasting dishes. Super friendly staff and very easy going atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

We spent a long time looking for good dosas together with Indian friends - who would have thought that the best dosas in Berlin could be found in a supermarket?!! The dosas are an unimaginable explosion of flavor! And the dips are in no way inferior. Guests who know and appreciate Indian food eat here! Definitely a recommendation

Best street food! We had a vegan version of dosas and they are the best we have eaten in Berlin so far. The restaurant is part of a supermarket, which underlines the street food character. The smells of authentic spices and the friendliness of the staff make eating here a great experience! Be sure to try dessert too!

Amazing and very authentic Indian Streetfood. Everything is prepared freshly. The Pani Puri where especially great as you can't find this in most Indian Restaurants. Great value for money and the staff is very friendly.

My partner and I loved this casual lunch place! It's pretty close to the dosa we used to eat when we lived in Asia. We got ghee dosa and and cheese/butter (but their masala one smelled good, too). They were proper crispy and delicious. Their coconut chutney is also quite tasty. The chai was also very good. My partner also tried some of their chaat and said they were spot-on, unlike many of our Indian food experiences here in Berlin. The people running the place are also so very kind and helpful. We will be back, for sure! Really recommend if you want to try more authentic dosa. Plus you can get some Indian groceries at the same time (as it's in the grocery store).

Ignoring the atmosphere and the ambience owing to the fact that it is a part of a grocery store as well, the food nonetheless is one of the most authentic tastes that I have tried outside of Bangalore that takes you straight back to one of the Darshinis serving that sweet sambar to go with your dosas and vadas. While the sev puri was anything but, the taste was still palatable. I'm sure it will pleasantly surprise you. Would definitely return again.

Most authentic Indian food I've ever eaten in Berlin so far. Enjoyed every bit of the Dosa, Chole and Samosa Chaat. The rotis were freshly made and very warm 🥰😍 I strongly recommend this place for not-germanised Indian food.

I got sick the day after having food from here. I had the Mysore dosa and pav bhaji. The pav are not the Indian pav, but buns. And the bhaji had a lot of garam masala. It did not feel as though the food was fresh. The dosa tasted alright/good but I would not recommend since I did not find the food to be fresh at all.

Das Ambiente bekommt nur deshalb fünf Sterne, weil das Essen alles dermaßen übertrumpft, dass es damit eben auch den Umstand wett macht, dass sich das Restaurant mitten in einem indischen Supermarkt befindet. Dieser Laden ist mit seinen Speisen eines der leckersten indischen Restaurants, die ich in Deutschland überhaupt kenne. Und eigentlich ist es gar kein Restaurant, sondern nur ein Supermarkt mit Speisekarte im Eingangsbereich. Hatte ich schon erwähnt, dass das Essen super lecker ist? Dies hier ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp.

We ordered Mysore masala dosa and idli vada. The dosa and idli tasted extremely sour, so my guess is the batter was old for a Monday afternoon! The service was not good. For these reasons for us the it was quite expensive.

2 stars for food. Dosa was crispy. That was good. But apart from that everything was bad. Taste was too sour and bland. Same for idli. And Vada was too small for the price. And Chutneys were too watery and didn't taste savoury at all. 1 star for atmosphere: It's not a proper restaurant. Just a few tables inside an Indian supermarket. 1 star for service. -3 for cleanliness. I hope I don't get sick after eating here. All in all, not recommended at all. Avoid.

We ordered a breakfast for my team - idli sambhar and Vada pav. It was really good and we enjoyed it! I would order here again for any events or even just for a friends get together.

Expensive compared to other Indian grocery stores. Fresh vegetables selection is expensive and not fresh. Staff not friendly. Outdated price stickers on the shelf. Restaurant is not great either-they just heat up or fry frozen products.

Well stocked market but super bland food. Dosa had no flavour, sev puri wasn't savory, pav bhaji's bhaji felt like porridge. I don't understand what people are eating that was so great. Dissapointed with the reviews.

3 stars for the cheap prices and a nice menu. The food however was mediocre. Masala dosa is not at all authentic (especially the chutney and the potato filling). Samosa chat had too much salt, chole bhature was good and then came the vada pav! If a person from Mumbai had this vada pav they'd cry from sadness. Please do not have the vada pav!

If you want to bite into a perfectly crispy vada one morning or enjoy a bowl of tangy sambar that brings flashbacks from home, this is the place you'd want to hit. Berlin can be unforgiving with it's modified Indian food, but this is one place that sets things right. Priced adequately and served with the right amount of love.

We visited this place based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, this place did not live up to the expectations. We ordered dosas and idlis and chole bhature. The dosas were fine, although for a place specializing in dosas, it was disappointing because I can make much better dosas from home made batter. Mysore masala dosa did not taste anything like it is supposed to. the idlis were hard and seemed like they were not freshly made. The coconut chutney was a real disappointment. It was stale. The sambar did not look or taste like sambar although it tasted okay. The chole were tasteless and again stale. We visited on Saturday afternoon, so perhaps that's the reason everything was stale, but our experience certainly did not reflect the high rating this place has. The interior was dingy and uninviting, and looks nothing like the pictures in the reviews. It seems like no one really cares about their product here, and even when we gave them feedback, they were disinterested. I hope they hire some actual south indians who know how to make dosas or at least train their existing staff. Dosas are not that complicated, and it's not really easy to screw up such a simple dish, but they somehow managed to bungle it.

Awesome experience here at Spice Village. Grocery shop with Indian restaurant. Good, authentic and cheap Indian food. They also have MDH and Everest masala in the grocery store. Must visit.

Schade. Bei all den euphorischen Bewertungen hätte ich mehr erwartet. Mein Dosa war übersichtlich gefüllt und einige der in der Karte angegebenen Zutaten der Füllung ließen sich nur erahnen. Indische Gewürze wurden durch (viel) Salz ersetzt. Die Dips waren auch eher geschmacksneutral, obwohl das Gericht die 2 Chilis Klassifikation hatte. Chai war okay, aber für 2,50 im Plappbecher preislich ambitioniert. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist hier eher verbesserungswürdig. .

Muy buen lugar de comida auténtica del Sur de India. Llegamos al restaurante y estaba cerrando pero el dueño abrió el lugar para nosotros sin pensarlo y nos trató increíble. Es un lugar pequeño pero muy auténtico, volvería sin lugar a dudas.

Located inside a grocery store. Authentic style Mysore masala dose. The lassi was good too! The idly and the vada were ok. Sev Puri was authentic and very tasty! We ordered tawa pulao for take away and was delicious too! Prices are also very reasonable. If i lived in Berlin i would probably visit it twice a week :)

Dosa and more reminds me of home. Every dish is so tasty and perfect. The South Indian dishes are exceptional but even the north Indian meals are a must try.

Hands down! Dosa and More serve the most wholesome South Indian dishes in Berlin. They have brought the most delicious items in Indian cuisine to the town. The varieties in their menu, especially in South Indian food, are just wonderful. I loved the Mysore Masala Dosa and Pav Bhaji Dosa. They're a must-try!

Excellent dosa, chai, lassi (salty and sweet), and also puris. I recommend this if you like Indian food. Spicy level is good and hot but if you don’t like spicy you will also find nice things here. Try it!
