The food was really tasty, more than that the owners are super nice and it feels like home. Dabeli is a must try. I also ordered rawa dosa and idli vada combo which was a delight for the tongue. I was also given a complementary gulab jamun which was the best part of all. I will definitely come here again to try the other menu as well. The best place for south indian food and pocket friendly.

Best street food! We had a vegan version of dosas and they are the best we have eaten in Berlin so far. The restaurant is part of a supermarket, which underlines the street food character. The smells of authentic spices and the friendliness of the staff make eating here a great experience! Be sure to try dessert too!

Street food on a few tables in an Indian supermarket. Closed after 8 p.m. You feel more like you are traveling than in Tempelhof. Chef was very warm, the food was delicious, very authentic, spicy but not too spicy. Inexpensive!

I am not really the judge for Indian food, but being exposed to this in India and through my good-cook Indian friends, I say these taste quite authentic. Good food in a relaxed setting, with really nice people managing there. I had a dosa, and sambar and coconut chutney that came with it was really good. The only problem for me was, I would like the portion to be a little bit bigger, it was not exactly filling (1 portion of dosa). Both dosa itself and the sides to it (especially chutney) could be more. Will definitely come back again, especially to try manchurian.

I've been coming here since I moved to Berlin for Indian groceries. Once I tried the food and I've been coming back once a month. It's really the most authentic Indian food I've been able to find in Berlin. And the owner are the most friendly people.

The best place to enjoy Indian snacks is a local eatery, and you definitely shouldn't miss trying a full Indian thali.

I had tried the dosas. I thought it tasted good. However, it is not a great culinary art. In terms of quantity, it's more of a snack. In addition, the ambience is not that nice. In the end it's only 3 stars because the price is too high for the overall package.

Edit: I have not received my refund yet. I don’t usually write reviews, but I was really disappointed with the food yesterday. We ordered Kadhai Paneer and Tandoori Roti from Uber Eats, but the Tandoori Roti was stale, reheated with oil, and tasted awful. On top of that, we received an uncooked paratha. To make things worse, they sent Butter Paneer instead of Kadhai Paneer. Really disappointing experience.

This place was a 5 star for me until recently. One of my favourite dishes and the major reason for me to visit here was the medu vada which was freshly fried when you placed an order. But now, it’s not fresh anymore. They prepare in batches and store it. It’s just heated and given to you when the order is placed. As a customer who visited almost every week just for the vada, I’m disappointed. Other than that, the taste is still amazing and much better than all those big fancy restaurants

Enjoyed every food here dosa idly daveli Pani Puri and veg Manchurian all were so delicious freshly prepared from dabeli's bun to Pani Puri's Puri not the store brought but prepared in house. Must visit

Hot fresh Vada, good idli(not hot) but soft… sambar and chutney is quite good. Best is Dabeli and pani pori…. Bread and stuffing in dablei is fantastic and the the poori in pani puri is home made like in India … must try!!

The restaurant is an extension of the Indian grocery store Spice village. A lot of street food options such as Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhature Pani puri etc are available at cheap prices.

I sincerely love this place sooooo much. In the 6 weeks that I've been in Berlin I've been here on a weekly basis, despite the fact that I live in Friedrichshain. I literally wake up and crave Dosa like never before! The Cheese Dosa Masala is my go-to happy place but Ive also enjoyed the Pani Puri, Samosa Chat and new additions to the menu such as Vegetable Manchurian. The beer selection is small but it includes a couple of my favourites such as Guiness and Corona. The nigerian Guiness is so strong itll send you reeling if youre not careful. On a hot day I like to sit at a table outside playing cards and enjoying the funky play list. The staff are so welcoming. I will be back!!!

Unfortunately everything was fine 2 years ago. Now there is very bad service. The quality has also become very poor. There's only one person working here right now who looks like he doesn't feel like working.

There are lots of Indian products in the well-stocked shop. Also fresh things like fresh curry leaves. There is also a restaurant in the store with great food. When I was here it was very tasty and like I was sitting in India :)

I am from india and I can safely say that this is the most homey meal I have eaten. From their dosa to vada pav to gulab jamun. They have superb tasting dishes. Super friendly staff and very easy going atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.

We spent a long time looking for good dosas together with Indian friends - who would have thought that the best dosas in Berlin could be found in a supermarket?!! The dosas are an unimaginable explosion of flavor! And the dips are in no way inferior. Guests who know and appreciate Indian food eat here! Definitely a recommendation

Amazing and very authentic Indian Streetfood. Everything is prepared freshly. The Pani Puri where especially great as you can't find this in most Indian Restaurants. Great value for money and the staff is very friendly.

My partner and I loved this casual lunch place! It's pretty close to the dosa we used to eat when we lived in Asia. We got ghee dosa and and cheese/butter (but their masala one smelled good, too). They were proper crispy and delicious. Their coconut chutney is also quite tasty. The chai was also very good. My partner also tried some of their chaat and said they were spot-on, unlike many of our Indian food experiences here in Berlin. The people running the place are also so very kind and helpful. We will be back, for sure! Really recommend if you want to try more authentic dosa. Plus you can get some Indian groceries at the same time (as it's in the grocery store).

Ignoring the atmosphere and the ambience owing to the fact that it is a part of a grocery store as well, the food nonetheless is one of the most authentic tastes that I have tried outside of Bangalore that takes you straight back to one of the Darshinis serving that sweet sambar to go with your dosas and vadas. While the sev puri was anything but, the taste was still palatable. I'm sure it will pleasantly surprise you. Would definitely return again.

Most authentic Indian food I've ever eaten in Berlin so far. Enjoyed every bit of the Dosa, Chole and Samosa Chaat. The rotis were freshly made and very warm 🥰😍 I strongly recommend this place for not-germanised Indian food.

I got sick the day after having food from here. I had the Mysore dosa and pav bhaji. The pav are not the Indian pav, but buns. And the bhaji had a lot of garam masala. It did not feel as though the food was fresh. The dosa tasted alright/good but I would not recommend since I did not find the food to be fresh at all.

Das Ambiente bekommt nur deshalb fünf Sterne, weil das Essen alles dermaßen übertrumpft, dass es damit eben auch den Umstand wett macht, dass sich das Restaurant mitten in einem indischen Supermarkt befindet. Dieser Laden ist mit seinen Speisen eines der leckersten indischen Restaurants, die ich in Deutschland überhaupt kenne. Und eigentlich ist es gar kein Restaurant, sondern nur ein Supermarkt mit Speisekarte im Eingangsbereich. Hatte ich schon erwähnt, dass das Essen super lecker ist? Dies hier ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp.
