The best pizzeria in Düsseldorf! They serve authentic Italian pizza. The service is super fast! On Bolkerstraße, you can order pizza to go or eat it while you stand. The prices are very reasonable this way. If you're in Düsseldorf's Old Town, you should definitely stop by.

We haven't been there in a long time. It used to be one of the best pizzerias, but unfortunately, it now tastes worse than frozen pizza. It's a real shame. The crust used to be crispy and thin, but the sauce is now too sweet and sour.

The kitchen is so disorganized. Many tables got their food before us, even though they arrived after us. Unfortunately, after about 45 minutes of waiting, we simply had to get up and leave.

No idea what happened to this once-good pizzeria... The pizza was lukewarm, burnt on the edges, yet soggy in the middle like an old sponge. The taste was more on par with a frozen pizza. If you like barely hearing your own voice because the music is so loud and making new friends with strangers sitting so close to you, this is the place for you. Besides the typical Düsseldorf price, which was truly unreasonable for this culinary experience, our highlight was the pasta carbonara, which in Italy would probably be called treason. 500 grams of carelessly arranged spaghetti drowned in a sea of ​​cream sauce and the tears of Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, the service wasn't my cup of tea either. Or maybe I just didn't understand the server's sense of humor. As a final highlight, I got the rest of my pizza to take home in aluminum foil and a plastic bag...

We had one of the worst dining experiences at this place. The elderly Italian man with white hair, who was working there, blatantly ignored the line and served people who arrived after us simply because he knew them. When we questioned this, he spoke to us in an extremely disrespectful and arrogant manner, saying something like: “I know them, of course I’ll serve them first. Who do you think you are?” This kind of unprofessional and insulting behavior is completely unacceptable in any business, especially one that serves the public. No matter how good the food might be, treating customers with such favoritism and disrespect ruins the entire experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We were in line. Two customers arrived later and ordered before us. We told them we'd been there first. The cashier said, "I've known them for 30 years," and let them order before us. Very unprofessional. 👎🏻

I bought a tiramisu to take away here and am very disappointed. When I asked if it was a classic tiramisu with sponge fingers, etc., I was given an annoyed look and a curt "Tiramisu, that's all." I wasn't even allowed to take a look at it, with the explanation that it was "in the kitchen." When I explained that I simply wanted a classic tiramisu without any sauce, the only response was a succinct "Yeah, yeah." The result: a dessert overloaded with ready-made sauce that was old, tasted nothing, and not at all visually appealing. Added to that was the unfriendly and rude manner of the cashier, which only reinforced the negative impression. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Delicious pizza baked in a stone oven, made right in front of you. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Takeaway or eating outside at the standing tables takes only about 3–4 minutes. The place has a real local vibe. Definitely worth a visit!

Freshly baked and super delicious pizza, I really can't find another pizza with such a good price and fresh taste. The waiters are very friendly. Although there is always a queue, the food is served super fast ~ It is worth recommending.

The pizza was delicious from the first to the last bite. Very good authentic Italian style pizza. They even gave us this delicious garlic and chilli oil… so good. Prices have gone up though, expect €12 and upwards for a pizza.

We ordered two takeaway pizzas on July 6, 2025, at 1 a.m. The total was €21. I paid with a €50 note. The elderly man at the cash register took the note and put it with the other €50 notes in his till, ignored me, and served the next customer. When I asked for my change, he put the pizzas in front of us and asked how much I had paid, to which I replied €50. He said no, it was €10 (especially two €10 pizzas?!). I said no, it was €50. He continued to say no, and when I became understandably rude and said that I wasn't going to let myself be ripped off and that we were obviously not drunks (we hadn't been drinking any alcohol) with whom he could pull something like that, he looked at his colleague and asked, "What was Pablo's number again?" As if he were getting someone to solve the problem for him. When I persisted and told him that there was a camera above his head and that the friendly police outside the door could quickly analyze it, we were immediately given our change to the exact euro and told never to come back and to piss off, along with a few insults. That is really the last straw. I used to go to Lupo all the time, but I've never experienced anything like that. Now I understand why they don't accept card payments and why they had so many 50 euro notes lying around. Apparently a few other (intoxicated?) people had already fallen victim to his scam. But I will take his advice and never come back again. I would also advise anyone else who doesn't want to be scammed out of their money to do the same.

This is one of my favourite places to have pizza in Düsseldorf. All city guests should try it in the city center

I've lived in Düsseldorf for ages, but I recently went to Lupus for the first time. I always considered this pizzeria the "alcoholic pizza" for the partygoers in the old town. But I have to admit, I was completely wrong. The pizza is top-notch. Perfect base, fruity tomato sauce, nicely salty Gouda cheese, and not that bland-tasting mozzarella that almost every pizzeria uses!

Margherita was very good and the prices are reasonable at 10.5 euros. The street it is located in has a very Italian atmosphere. The waiter is a very likeable man.

Rude behavior! On June 27, 2025, a group of six of us decided to eat Italian pizza! I had a cigarette butt and asked for an ashtray in German—I'd forgotten the word, so I pointed with my fingers to indicate what I needed and said "Bescher." The waiter—a man in his 50s, clearly not German—showed me a table with full ashtrays and said, "Learn German and bring your cigarette butt there!" Meanwhile, my companions began to sit down... I said, "Let's go then." The man began to apologize, then I said okay, but saw that a chair was missing and asked for one. He pointed to the side and said, "Then go... I'm shocked by such an attitude!" We left. When I returned to take a photo of the name for reviews, he also made a face and curtsied! It's hard to understand why they employ such staff who scare customers away...

We eat pizza here every time we come to Düsseldorf. The pizza dough is very thin and they have a wide variety of pizzas. The only problem is that they don't accept credit cards. Have cash with you.

I had a pepperoni pizza - this is a price/performance place. Pizzas were around 8-12 euros. They are quick, you can take away or choose to sit.

Doesn't taste the same as before. The dough and cheese (probably imitation cheese) tasted like nothing.

Every time I've been there, the pizza has been delicious. The location and service, however, are disappointing. The interior is a bit dated, and everything has to be done quickly, of course.

Delicious and very quick pizza! We added garlic and spicy oil, which was a nice touch—though the spicy oil has a slightly bitter note, so it depends on your taste. Solid pizzas starting at just 7€, definitely a great value.

Do not choose the indoor seating area of the restaurant under any circumstances. Despite the good food, the middle-aged waiter who claims to be Mexican behaves very rudely and unprofessionally.

I go there so often with my girlfriend. It's always delicious and we always have decent seating. The food is authentic and fresh, the delicious and high-quality ingredients are always a delight. I'm completely satisfied, and the price/performance ratio is good, even for the quality. The Albanian waiter is the best. A huge thank you for being so attentive and having funny remarks. Crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and oven-baked with perfect timing. The location in the heart of the old town makes it the ideal stop while strolling through town or to round off a long evening. Authentic, uncomplicated, and consistently good—that's exactly what pizza should be. We were there with 9 people on a Friday evening. It's incredibly loud and the service...well let's say, very special. We ate noodles all the time and they were ok.

Worst pizza place. Even worse service. The woman with glasses is extremely unfriendly, she simply writes down an extra pizza on the receipt. The little guy with the sunken eyes thinks he's the crassest and is unfriendly than any waiter I've seen. It feels like everyone is in such a hurry there, bad ambience.

The store has small tables which are occupied due to a lot of people (as usual), but this does not affect us at all! There are also stands on the side of one of the store's entrances which are usually used by those who just want to look and leave! Therefore, you will surely find a free stand to enjoy your pizza! Lupo doesn't just have pizzas! It also has several options in pasta and calzones! The pizza is made in a wood oven. If you are not satisfied with any tasty subscription, you can choose your own ingredients and create your own pizza! There is ACCESS for a wheelchair. Payment is made in cash ONLY.

The pizzas were good for their price, the high tables only needed some benches to sit on, but the work environment made my day better!! I loved it
