So for me the best pizzeria in all of North Rhine-Westphalia Traditional Italian cooking is still served here. I am in Italy every year and I know the differences. The service was very nice and the food was unique

Pizza is basically okay, everything else is subpar. The waiter was very brisk and aloof. He made completely inappropriate comments and also thought he was funny. The rest of the staff was also demotivated and correspondingly annoyed. The food was generally at rest stop level. If you take a closer look around, you'll see that the work there is sloppy. And hygienic work is a foreign concept. The plate that was subsequently brought to our daughter was wiped in front of us with the same cloth that had previously been used to clean the tables. Disgusting! I can only advise against a visit to Lupo!

Never again !!! Got pizza. 10 minutes later in the toilet I had a huge stomach ache and diarrhea. Tastes great but what's the point??? Never there again!!!!!

A delicious pizza and in my opinion now the best pizza on hand in the old town. I would prefer the whole chain on the Bolker at any time.

NO card payment possible! Actually 2 stars deducted. But service was very nice and pizza was so tasty. To take away €7, to eat here €10 or more, but bigger. Friendly, fun service. Salad for €9 was too expensive. Better take it with you. Worth more. Where are you not allowed to pay by card these days?

Well presented pizza. Had the mushroom, spinach and onion pizza and all toppings seperated into section, not combined. The pepper & garlic side sauces were awesome! Must adds to your pizza! Nice outdoor seating that allows for good people watching. Will be back.

Best stone oven pizza 🍕 in Düsseldorf with tradition, great team and fast service... always worth it!!! (Tip: hot & garlic sauce 🌶️🧄) Attention: only cash payment (no card payment!)

We ordered Quattro Formage Pizza & Cicken-mushrom Curry sauce pasta. They were perfectly delicious. The prices are reasonable and we found good table spot.

Ordered a pizza, got it after about 2 min, and wow what a pizza. If I come back to Düsseldorf, I will go to Pizzeria Lupo. Recommended. Here the pizza is served as hand food, standing table and that's it !!

Tastiest pizza we've eaten in a long time. Ambience not that nice. Waiters were very friendly and we got our food quickly even though it was busy. Will definitely eat there again.

There was too much cheese and not enough tomato sauce on the pizza, it was quite loud and cramped, but the waiter was friendly and entertaining. The apple spritzer was also good.

Never buy! Loss of money… Prepare 10-15 pieces of pizza dough and put cheese on it. It's waiting in the sun until an order comes, everything dries! Something like this has to be reported to the state! I ate Tonno and had to cancel my service with Deutsche Bahn after 20 minutes.

The four of us ate here today, the service and waiting time was a disaster. After the three people had already eaten, they still didn't notice that my food hadn't come. The meat was burnt and far dry after it arrived way too late and was also poorly prepared. No refund as food has already been paid for. Not recommended!

Unfortunately the pizza wasn't good. The dough is not fully baked at the edges. It seemed as if the oven had been set very hot in order to bake pizzas in a hurry, unfortunately at the expense of quality. The edges of some pizzas were completely burnt. We had already been surprised that so many guests had thrown away the edges of the pizza; there were leftover pizzas everywhere. For us there is no longer an alternative in the old town.

The classic in Düsseldorf's old town. Present for years. Good for years. Whether before or after alcohol... Lupo's Pizza has to be included 😂 My favorite: pizza with hot Italian salami and hot chili oil. If you really want, you can also sit in the store Attention: Cash only Ps: the unfriendly Italian in the class is part of the cult of this store 😉

Just the thing after a long and thirsty evening. It's always fascinating how quickly the pizzas are put through the oven here and how quickly there are no misunderstandings or mix-ups despite the huge rush. Kudos to the whole team!

The best and tastiest pizza in the old town for decades! Lavishly topped and cheap. Very friendly service and the fresh pizza is ready quickly! It's a shame that there aren't more places to sit outside and inside, but nobody can do anything about that. :)

Ate a pizza with spinach on site. Dough was ok, unfortunately it didn't have enough salt. And unfortunately: Ordered with garlic - but it came with garlic oil, as a result the pizza was soupy and tasted like cooking oil... Meeting again on July 2nd, 2024: Cutlery is no longer available, supposedly banned because of the European Football Championship... The service was rough before, today it was outrageous. That's it for me.

The food is A1! The pizza is nice and thin, the toppings are generous and the size is also mega. Price performance is very good anyway! The service is also super nice and friendly! The ambience...well, what can you do? In the summer you sit outside with everything tipi topi but a little nicer exterior wouldn't be a bad thing.

The pizzeria is run by a group of amazing Italian men. The pizzeria feels like straight from Italy. They have varied options for pizza. Do try out Penne Al Arabiata as well.

For some it is comfortable and for some it is restless. So if you want to have a romantic meal here, you've come to the wrong place. People line up here waiting for their turn. Didn't blow me away, price performance is absolutely not right. There are definitely better pizzas. We weren't allowed to sit either, we had come from Frankfurt, which meant that pizza could only be eaten standing up, the other side was apparently reserved for “higher society”. Thank you very much, we won't be coming back, hospitality is different.

My dear Lupo team I've been enjoying a pizza from you from time to time for more than 30 years and I can tell you that I still enjoy it just as much today as it did 30 years ago. Unfortunately not recommended at all in my opinion. The pizza is not cross, has few toppings and has a really thick dough. I won't come back a second time and would rather eat at another pizzeria in the old town that's not far away.

At 10pm on the first of June I ordered a pizza that was one of the worst I've ever seen. The pizza was almost completely burnt. The man who took the orders was very rude to the customers and kept shouting that I wanted to take the pizza and leave quickly. This is very annoying. I think that the pizzeria around the corner, although a few euros more expensive, is better. I don't recommend this pizzeria, wasted money and time.

Important, I'm not reviewing a classic pizzeria here, but rather a pizzeria where you can get a quick pizza on hand or for a quick meal. For this purpose, Pizza Lupo is absolutely cult. The restaurant has been around since at least 1990 and remains a must in Düsseldorf's old town. The pizza comes quickly and is still great. Thin base, generously topped and very juicy and tasty. You can add many individual ingredients individually and refine them yourself with garlic oil or hot oil. To ensure that everything goes quickly, the service is not exactly an Italian chatterbox, but rather short and to the point. The ambience has more of a snack bar feel, so not for a romantic evening for two. But as described above, a clear recommendation for a quick snack.

It’s difficult to enjoy food when the service is bad! Would rate this place zero if this was possible. Was treated very rudely by a waiter who ‘literally chased’ my 3 young children and I out of the sitting area because it was only for the bar regardless of us having purchased from the pizzeria. He did not even offer the menu and assumed we would not order any drinks. Was given no chance to speak to the point that my daughter started crying and asked why he was being so mean to us. I am a professional who had taken her 3 young kids on an adventure in the city I could have bought a bottle of their most expensive wine had we been politely offered. After that experience, it didn’t matter what the pizza tasted like! The day was spoilt! I hope the owners read this review and at least have the decency to apologize to my 6 year old daughter who could only reconcile this treatment to the bandage across her forehead and felt like she was treated this way because of how she looked. Please train your waiters to have some humanity and to treat ALL people with dignity.

Pizzas were delicious, thin crust, plenty of toppings. Homemade black beer was very delicious. The servers were very fun and friendly.

I don't find the "younger" cashier (brown hair) friendly in the evenings on weekends. He likes to pass on the pizza he ordered to other customers who came after us, even though they pointed out that they were waiting for the pizza. The whole thing is somehow discriminatory! He definitely lost me as a customer.
