Pizzeria Lupo in Düsseldorf

The service was absolutely terrible. No one came to take our order - we ended up having to go and order ourselves. But then a person who came after us received their food before us, even though we were sitting right next to them! As if that wasn't enough, despite a small tip, there was neither a simple "thank you" nor an apology. You have to be fair: the pizza tasted good. But the rest was simply disappointing.

Worst pizza place. Even worse service. The woman with glasses is extremely unfriendly, she simply writes down an extra pizza on the receipt. The little guy with the sunken eyes thinks he's the crassest and is unfriendly than any waiter I've seen. It feels like everyone is in such a hurry there, bad ambience.

The store has small tables which are occupied due to a lot of people (as usual), but this does not affect us at all! There are also stands on the side of one of the store's entrances which are usually used by those who just want to look and leave! Therefore, you will surely find a free stand to enjoy your pizza! Lupo doesn't just have pizzas! It also has several options in pasta and calzones! The pizza is made in a wood oven. If you are not satisfied with any tasty subscription, you can choose your own ingredients and create your own pizza! There is ACCESS for a wheelchair. Payment is made in cash ONLY.

The pizzas were good for their price, the high tables only needed some benches to sit on, but the work environment made my day better!! I loved it

Today I ate pizza here for the first time and what can I say? It tastes great!! Really really tasty! The pizza was prepared super quickly. The staff were very friendly. It really tasted so good. €7 for a spicy Margherita is an unbeatable price. Highly recommended! We'll be back. Many thanks to the team.

Never again Lupo!!! I strongly advise against this restaurant!!! There were three of us there, we announced ourselves to the waiter and he told us we would be next. He first moved forward a group of 2, then he moved forward a group of 4 and then he moved forward another group of 2. This is a very big disgrace. I've never experienced anything like this. We waited about 30-40 minutes between the door and didn't get a seat and before I got upset, I got out and went to the competition across the street and the pizza was very good. NEVER LIKE LUPO IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!!!!

As Italian, I didn't expect this pizzeria to be good, but actually I love it and it's one of my favorites in town despite being fast food. I love them cause they're still open on late Sunday nights, when I have finally Feierabend

A pizzeria that is Italian in name only Very disappointing experience at Lupo. The place is divided into two parts: one for take-out orders and one for eating in. Issue ? The prices are different depending on the option chosen, and frankly, €10 for an industrial pizza to take away is a steal. Of course, cooking is done over a wood fire, but that is purely a marketing argument. That doesn't change the mediocre quality of the pizzas, which give the impression of being just reheated frozen food. The ingredients are low-end, the dough is flavorless, and it's clearly more like fast food than a real pizzeria. The atmosphere is non-existent, and the staff works in an almost robotic manner, without any effort towards reception or service. It feels like a chain restaurant, not at all a cozy restaurant. The worst thing is seeing so many positive reviews... Frankly incomprehensible! Either people have never eaten a real pizza, or these opinions are simply bought. If you are looking for a real pizzeria with fresh products and a pleasant atmosphere, go your way. There are much better places elsewhere in Düsseldorf for the same price, or even cheaper.

The place gets very crowded on weekends, but the service remains efficient, and the wait is worth it. Ordered very tasty salami pizza there for 7 euros and ate it outside. Even though it was very busy, I had a very short wait. Absolutely recommended.

It's true: the pizza was really delicious and ready super quickly. Price/performance is also right. Sure, cash only is no longer up to date, but it's just a restaurant and we know it by now.

The waiter ❤️‍🩹 was so nice and fun. He was part of the table. We enjoyed every minute. 100 would recommend. Food and wine were amazing too

The pizza tastes good, but the italian guy was busy with something else other than taking the order. And also, only cash in the middle of the city center is a shame. Typical italian business. I would prefer to eat somewhere else next time.

I recently visited this fantastic pizzeria in Düsseldorf and absolutely loved it! The pizza was simply delicious – perfectly baked dough, fresh ingredients and an incomparable taste. Added to this are the extremely fair prices, which make the whole thing even better. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting - the perfect place to enjoy an excellent pizza. Definitely a recommendation for all pizza lovers in Düsseldorf! I'll definitely be back.

We were there on a foggy day. That's why we didn't achieve much efficiency, but it's better on sunny days.

The pizza varieties are many and delicious, the garlic sauce that came with the pizza was nice, but the lack of hot sauce was not very good. The place looks shabby. The interior could be a little more airy, overall we liked it

I've been there again after a long time, I've been there several times before, mostly to take away. Pizza is, as always, perfectly Italian, and the pasta dishes are also said to be pretty good.

I'm completely out of it. As a long-time customer, I ordered a pizza, then when the store was full and I had to wait a while I was asked what I had ordered - obviously another customer had received it and then I was given my money back in a toneless manner and told I wasn't getting any pizza. I didn't complain but was spoken to by the employee at the checkout. I find this behavior all the more incomprehensible. Despite years of positive experience, I will never come back. What's that supposed to mean?

Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. A colleague and I split a margarita (amazing). Went to have some beer and came back to eat a veggie that was also great but not as great as the margarita. Worth the trip, you won’t regret it.

I would like to agree with L R, we found 3 large pieces of glass in our food. up to 6 cm long!! the reaction “it could happen” is really inappropriate. Neither an apology nor an effort to even appear shocked. Looks like it's a common additional seasoning...

ATTENTION: Unfortunately I had to find large shards in my pasta dish. The only response was “It could happen, sorry.”

Saturday night with Düsseldorf packed. It took us 5 minutes to order and another 5 for the pizzas to come out 🍕 Very delicious, wood oven, many options and price €7-8-9. Ideal for a quick dinner. I would repeat without a doubt.

It is very crowded on weekends. The pizzas are prepared in record time.

They don't really make an effort and just slap it quickly like on a conveyor belt, but when you're drunk, things really come right away🤭😏

The pizza is quite good, there's nothing you can say except that it's a bit outrageous to charge €3 for each additional topping. However, we were very surprised and annoyed by the unfriendly and incompetent waiter. From ordering to payment, nothing worked properly. I think it's one of the few times in my life where I and the entire table didn't leave a tip and it was more than deserved!

The pizza looks like it's been eaten, there's hardly any cheese on it, so the edges are sometimes 5 cm wide and the employees are rude. The store is only doing so well because of its location. And that's exactly why they can afford to offer bad pizzas with bad service. Better go somewhere else...

Stopped at this restaurant to have something to eat. We ordered pizza and noodles with fish. The pasta is delicious, good big portions. The pizza is ordinary, nothing special. We ordered pizza with mozzarella, but honestly I didn’t find any differences from Margherita :) The staff is friendly, the prices are high🙌

I chose this restaurant because the address is very convenient for someone who doesn't own a car. I also found it interesting that you could watch from outside how the employees freshly prepare the pizzas. The Margherita pizza was very good overall, although the edge was a bit burnt and not as airy and bubbled as in Italian pizza videos. The lasagna, on the other hand, was exceptionally delicious, it was the best lasagne I have ever tried.

I was back at Pizzeria Lupo after 2-3 years and can confirm the quality again! Absolutely great taste! Unfortunately, it is always full there and you have to wait for a table. Accordingly, the employees are busy. No card payment possible (for whatever reason). All in all, the taste is so good that everything else is secondary.

I do not recommend the institution to visit. The staff of the institution shows contempt for the visitors in all its forms, is very arrogant and impolite. Waiters even allow themselves to laugh at people in front of everyone. Completely spoiled mood. If you really want pizza, it is mediocre here, very salty, the crust is burnt. The owners should think about what kind of people are the face of their restaurant.

Second time being here and it’s good. I tried Lasagna again, but the quality seemed different/low, but was still good. Prices are good, but they, still in 2024, only accept cash!!! 🤷‍♂️
