Pizzeria Giulio in Frankfurt am Main

The visit to Pizzeria Giulio was overall okay, but with some weaknesses. I had the steak with parmesan pasta and salad - the steak was okay, but unfortunately the pasta was already cold. In addition, an order from our table was forgotten twice, which significantly increased the waiting time. The ambience wasn't ideal either: it was cool in the room and the seating was quite uncomfortable. I expected a little more for the price, but Giulio himself was super warm and friendly, which lightened up the evening a bit. Overall I give it 3 stars.

I can say with complete confidence that this was the best pizza and pasta I have ever tasted! The price-performance is simply unbeatable. I will definitely come back again and again and recommend the restaurant to anyone who values ​​authentic Italian food. The boss himself welcomes the guests, comes to the table personally and cuts the pizza or pasta, which makes the visit something special. The service overall is first class, super friendly and attentive. Simply top, top, top! Please continue like this! I was also impressed by the ambience: it is very stylish and authentic, you feel very comfortable. An absolute highlight and a clear recommendation from me!

After walking down a long dark street and thinking that we definitely wouldn't find good pizza here, we were quickly proven wrong. The inconspicuous shop Gulio has a great atmosphere, great service and (as many have already claimed) the best pizza in Frankfurt. Great recommendation!

The best pizzeria in all of Frankfurt! I would like to give more stars if possible. The pizzas are always perfect and generously topped with very fresh ingredients. The owner is always very, very friendly and takes care of his guests. At Pizzeria Giulio you don't feel like a customer but like a guest who is warmly welcomed. You can even get a free starter in the form of a salad with slices of pizza bread when you order to bridge the waiting time for the pizza. I can highly recommend visiting Giulio!!

My friend surprised me with a surprise dinner for 10 people and the staff reserved a nice separate room for us, were very attentive and friendly and even invited us for sweet pizzas for dessert. In general the food is very tasty and the portions are generous and very fair for the price. I don't eat meat or fish and there was a lot for me too. The ambience is simple but warm, the welcome from Giulio and his entire team feels like arriving at home. We were there on a Tuesday, shortly after 5:00 p.m. and got a seat without any problems. The places then filled up quite quickly. Everyone was welcomed in a super friendly and courteous manner, anyone who had questions received detailed answers and perfect service. The only word that really fits the food is extraordinary; you have to experience it to be believed. Best pizza ever! Huge, mega tasty portions at very fair prices. That was really great. I had the great pleasure of enjoying an exceptional pizza that impressed me in many ways. It was clear from the start that this was no ordinary pizza, but one where you could feel that a lot of passion, attention to detail and, above all, an impressive knowledge of high-quality ingredients were involved. From the first bite I was blown away by the quality of the products used. You can immediately tell that no savings were made here - on the contrary, the pizza was lavishly topped without seeming overloaded. Every ingredient seemed deliberately selected, prepared with care and presented perfectly. What struck me particularly positively was how fresh everything tasted. The tomatoes were juicy and aromatic, the cheese melted wonderfully and had that wonderfully creamy taste that you only know from really good cheese. The combination of flavors was simply fantastic - each ingredient had its place and contributed to an overall picture that was completely harmonious. What was definitely special, however, was the amount of “lettuce,” or rather arugula, on the pizza. Normally you might expect a few arugula leaves as a topping on a pizza, but this was used generously here. It was an interesting and unexpected addition that seemed a bit unusual at first. Don't get me wrong, the arugula was incredibly fresh and crunchy, but for my taste it perhaps could have been a little less. Still, it wasn't annoying at all - it was just different. And looking back, it was an exciting variant that I hadn't heard of before. What stood out about this pizza, however, was the love for cooking that you could literally feel with every bite. It was as if every single component had been selected and processed with the greatest care and dedication. You can tell that there is someone at work here who knows his craft and is passionate about it. What is particularly remarkable is how well the different ingredients harmonized. It wasn't one of the usual run-of-the-mill combinations you get in many pizzerias. Instead, it was a perfectly coordinated composition, with every detail carefully thought out. You really had the feeling that someone with a deep knowledge of the ingredients and their use was working here. And then there is the service. Incredibly nice, attentive and refreshingly authentic. In restaurants you often experience superficial service that is professional but lacks that certain something. Here the opposite was the case. I felt welcome from the start, almost as if I was visiting family. It wasn't just the friendly tone of voice, but the whole atmosphere, the warmth that greeted you. Every wish was practically read from your eyes, and yet you never had the feeling that it was intrusive. It was the perfect mix of warmth and professionalism, something that is unfortunately experienced far too rarely. In conclusion, this pizza was a real experience. A creative and loving interpretation of the classic, where the focus was on high-quality, fresh ingredients. The only small drawback for me was the somewhat generous amount of rocket, but that is a matter of taste and by no means a real point of criticism. So if you're looking for an exceptional pizza where you can taste the passion for good food and at the same time appreciate service that makes you feel at home, you've come to the right place. A visit I will definitely repeat!

Exceptional pizza, staff very friendly. There is a very tasty little appetizer on the house. The No. 11 pizza with goat cheese was a delight. The service is busy but super friendly, the boss Giulio has everything in view and we have never experienced the atmosphere like this before. The food was also really tasty and there was even a greeting from the kitchen (which, by the way, is open and you can watch the chefs). What you should know: On a Saturday evening we had to wait outside for a while until a table became available. Our conclusion: We'll be back!

Rather by chance and on the way to a concert, we crossed the path of this pizzeria in an industrial area. I tried the noodles on the first day and they were simply delicious. The next day I ordered the pizza and it was also perfectly prepared - with fresh ingredients and a great dough. The atmosphere is pleasant and homely. I can highly recommend this pizzeria. Enjoyment is very important here!

Had a possibility to have a lunch with friends a the bespoke establishment on 08.06.2024, so thought to share my opinion on it: Pros: - great welcoming and a friendly smalltalk with, i assume, the owner/head chef of the place (we had no reservation and were 3 people) - some welcome appetizers - everything you order is halal - best prices you’ll find in both Frankfurt and Offenbach Cons: - flies were everywhere from the moment we got our orders and they never left, so we left the moment we’ve finished with the meal - food: • average pizza with under an average dough • ingredients leave a lot to be desired, when eating all the flavors, which there aren’t many, just form a paste in your mouth without any distinguishing notes, even tomatoes and sauce disappear in that mashup • the food we ordered was more like eating to fill your stomach and get on with your day, rather than to enjoy the pleasure of a shared meal with friends/family - toilet with a bucket overflowing with dirty paper towels - to get a drink we’ve needed to remind a waiter 3 times about our order, after 9 minutes of wait we’ve just went ourselves to the kitchen to peak one up, and only after 7 further minutes one has been served by a waiter, which we’ve just declined - cash only, that’s in a place where the nearest bank terminal is 15 minutes away on foot I find it unfair to rate the place so high, as there are better places, in my opinion, to have a pizza at in both FFM and Offenbach. Worth to mention - those better places, which is based solely on my own subjective opinion, will come with +3/4 EUR price tags

We have been Giulio customers since 2020. Back then we ordered almost every week and always got excellent pizza, and there was usually a little surprise with it, like dessert or dip. Special requests such as a heart-shaped pizza were always possible! :) In two years in Tyrol, we have eaten many delicious pizzas, but none of them came close to Giulio's! At the new location there is now more space to eat on site. The atmosphere is nice, Giulio continues to be a very warm and attentive host and we wouldn't want to eat pizza from anyone else... :)
