Busy and pretty good food. Seems like a popular meet up for dinner spot. Classy looking people been coming around with designer looking garb. They accept Credit Cards...winner.

Great Italian restaurant. Even though we showed up spontaneously on a Saturday evening without a reservation, two adults and two children, they were able to accommodate us. Thank you so much for that! The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The service was excellent. Even the children's special request for a non-alcoholic Hugo was accommodated.

My husband wanted to treat me to a special pizzeria...and he achieved that with Firenze! He had reserved a table for two in the evening. When we arrived on time, we were sent away for 15 minutes. After those 15 minutes, they wanted us to leave again. (Since my husband has diabetes, it was time for him to eat something.) After I protested, we were assigned a table. The staff were displeased and gave us grumpy looks, and we were served more or less poorly than well. I can't recommend this pizzeria. Sorry.

We waited over an hour for the food and in the end, we didn't even get the food. Disaster!

Pizza not cooked well, starter unfortunately had no taste at all, owner not friendly.

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait and weren't treated particularly kindly by the owner. The owner seemed aloof, and his interactions with the staff left a very unpleasant impression. The atmosphere felt rather tense as a result. Nevertheless, at least the service staff were very friendly to us. After a long wait, the pizza arrived – it tasted okay, but nothing special. Definitely not a place we'd want to visit again.

Never again! The reserved table wasn't reserved after all; we were told to go outside and wait. The menu, even the pasta, is mostly "on request." So the only option left is pizza, which is average at best, nothing special. At the end, you get a handwritten bill on which a glass of wine suddenly costs €10 (!!), even though the menu said €8. You feel like you've been taken for a fool. Why all the Kaiserslautern "celebrities" go there is a mystery to me. The ambiance isn't even particularly nice; there are wine crates lying around on the floor, and the TV squawked unpleasantly in our ears. Absolutely not recommended.

Always good, we always come back

We were invited to a reserved table by friends who have been regulars here for many years. This is a traditional Italian restaurant that has been around for decades and enjoys great popularity. Accordingly, the pizzeria was packed, with guests queuing at the door, waiting to be admitted. The service was very friendly. Naturally, it was quite loud. The pizzas we ate were absolutely nothing special—satisfactory. For our next visit, we would look for a somewhat quieter atmosphere in KL. Reservations are always recommended on weekends these days. Pizzeria Firenze is therefore a matter of taste. Anyone who appreciates hustle and bustle at a higher price will feel at home here.

There were three of us in the restaurant on Saturday. Very short notice but they tried to find a place. So it is advisable to book a table in advance, especially on the weekend. The waitresses were all very friendly, the wine was delicious as was the food. The price was reasonable as we also took the more expensive bottle of red wine. I thought it was good that you had a direct choice in terms of price. All thirty of us were very satisfied and can recommend it.

It is unique and has been around for many decades. Francesco is and remains simply the most charismatic host in Kaiserslautern. You simply feel comfortable in Firenze, it is authentic, it is long-established and, above all, of a very high standard. Above all, the food is highly recommended, as are the dishes on the daily menu, which you can traditionally ask for personally from the boss. If you want to experience a piece of Italian cult in the middle of Kaiserslautern, this is the right place for you.

We were there twice with our clients (12 Chinese) because we and they liked it so much. Extremely good food at a very high level, great atmosphere and good service. An absolute recommendation if you are looking for really good Italian cuisine!

We ordered pizza with seafood. The pizza was very salty and tasteless, just disappointing. The service is pleasant and attentive. They brought us very tasty white wine, but the food ruined the whole experience. They left hungry

Always a pleasure to be a guest at Francesco's. My highlight is the truffle pasta. But the pizza is also very good!

Grace! Went to Kaiserslautern for work and were invited to Firenze! We will definitely come back here. Everything really tasted good. The service was friendly, courteous and attentive. The ambience is Italian and with a lot of art ;)

Ich vergleiche seine Speisen gerne mit Da Luigi in Rom : Karte mit gutem Essen, zusätzlich Spezialitäten auf Nachfrage. Italienischer Salat vorne weg, die Hauptspeise kann es ein bisschen dauern, wenn der Laden voll ist. Macht aber nichts, schließlich wollen wir nicht nur essen, sondern einen netten Abend verbringen und das wurde a mal wieder

When we go to our favorite Italian restaurant, it's called Firenze. We reserve. I like to compare his dishes with Da Luigi in Rome: menu with good food, additional specialties upon request. Italian salad at the front, the main course may take a while if the place is full. But it doesn't matter, after all we don't just want to eat, we want to have a nice evening and that's what it will be.

Can't you have two take away pizzas and a fellow countryman passing by? Well you better change jobs then

Wie waren zu dritt in diesem Restaurant. Aufgrund Feiertag war das Restaurant so gut wie leer. Wir hatten reserviert, es wurde uns ein Tisch im dunklen Bereich des Restaurants angeboten. Wie entschieden uns für einen helleren Fensterplatz. Das Restaurant macht einen guten sauberen Eindruck mit weisen Stofftischdecken und Servietten. Das war es aber leider schon an Positivem. Die Menü-Karten machten einen eher bescheidenen Eindruck. zur Auswahl stehen überwiegend Pizzen und Pasta ein paar wenig Salate. Fleisch- und Fischgerichte gibt es nur auf Anfrage. Nach der Lieferung der Getränke wollte eine Servicekraft gleich nochmal vorbei kommen und vergaß und dann. Auf unsere Nachfrage hin bzgl. Fleisch und Fisch, konnten wir uns nicht für die restlichen 3 St. Lammkotletts und Kabeljaut entscheiden. Wir bestellten ein Nudelgericht mit Scampis, zwei Pizzen, einen Beilagensalat, eine Spargelcremesuppe. Die Pizzen gibt es nur in den Größen Mini,Klein, Groß, wobei die Große die wir uns bestellt haben nicht mal bis zum Tellerand reichte. Der Belag ist sehr dürftig, die Pizza sehr dünn und die Pilze waren aus dem Glas. Mein Beilagensalat bestand aus zwei Scheiben Gurken, zwei Stückchen Tomaten und ca. 4 Salatblättern für 5,-€ . Die. Spargelcremesuppe schmeckte mehr nach Milch als nach Spargel 10,- €. Die 5 scampis auf den Nudeln sahen eher wie normale Schrimps aus.Die Nudeln waren nicht auf der Karte und kosteten 20,-€ und waren nicht mal was besonderes. Mit zwei Bier, zwei kleinen Saftschorlen waren wir dann bei einer Rechnung von 70,-€ angelangt. Bezahlung ging auch nur in bar. Das ganze Essen war von minderer Qualität. Auch habe ich die berühmte italienische Gastfreundschaft vermisst. Einen Espresso haben wir auch nicht angeboten bekommen. Fazit: qualitativ und handwerklich einfach schlecht für einen hohen Preis! Wir waren das letztmalig dort!

Freundlicher Service. Gute Pizza und guter Wein. Ortsübliche Preise. Sehr saubere Lokalität. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

I can definitely recommend Firenze. The (vegetarian) food is very tasty, I even like the pizza, although I'm pretty picky about it. And the staff is always helpful.

One of the worst experiences of my life was eating at this restaurant, and as I picked up the glass to drink, the glass was full of mucus that someone in the kitchen had spat out. Even worse was complaining to the owner who didn't even apologize for what had happened. I was almost puking my guts out from disgust🤢. In the end I even paid for lunch in full😒.

First class for almost 50 years! Very chic, cozy atmosphere. Great pizza as well as first-class fish and meat dishes that are freshly prepared daily depending on availability. 👩‍🍳 Only high-quality ingredients are used. An Italian with a lot of love for excellent wine. 🍷There are still tablecloths and cloth servers here, which underline the upscale class. 🤩Mostly regular guests who appreciate the overall concept. We look forward to dining there every time again.😋 We wish Francesco, Davis and Patricia continued success and fun

We had dinner here this week in the evening. The pizza was okay, the salad had a good salad dressing. But the pasta!? The portion is measly. Served in huge plates. Two of us went home hungry. The price is too high for that!

Never again Firenze! We reserved a week before Valentine's Day and still had to wait while regular customers were simply waved past us. I've never experienced anything so cheeky. Further private visits and company events from MD Flachdach GmBH are not worth considering after this debacle.👎

TOP TIP in Kaiserslautern New Year's Eve menu 2023 - a highlight of a special class: - Aperitif Déjà vu - King prawns on lobster couscous - Brodo Ristretto Tortellini - Branzino on balsamic lentils and Prosecco foam - Veal cheeks with puree - Sorbet & Creme Brûlée See the pictures attached. The service was much better, but the pictures were only taken after our first cutlery attack. Sorry. In addition, an excellent Lugano and at the end espresso and limoncello made the evening a special experience - a 5 star rating is too bad a rating here... it was much more... really more. I don't have the words to describe it. The cuisine and service were outstanding...everything was perfect. I give the menu dishes 4 times 10 stars and 1 time 11 stars (11 stars because the dish tickled my taste buds in an extremely unusual way :) My wife and I would like to thank Chef Francesco for the privilege of allowing us to be there, as the places were very popular and New Year's Eve was fully booked weeks ago. We would like to thank chef Devis, the chefs, kitchen and service staff for an outstanding and perfect performance that can hardly be topped. The following was my rating in 2018. Nothing has changed - except that there was a constant increase/improvement: Here you can eat the best pizza in Kaiserslautern on a budget. If you are a foodie, Firenze offers the best dishes and wines you have ever tasted. With culture, manners, a little time and a friendly tone you will be surprised here... enjoy like God in Italy.. I was and am always welcome to come into the kitchen. I often watched how everything was freshly prepared. You won't believe it...even my unusual special requests were taken into account. The secret - the sound makes the music. The staff will certainly have a lot more to do on Friday and Saturday evenings at the weekend - but a few more minutes of patience will always make up for it with top quality and taste. And if you have to wait a little for your table - try the delicious Prosecco at the bar while standing - it's a pleasure. A reservation on the weekend is definitely recommended. My tip: Go Tuesday to Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m., immediately after opening and talk to Chef Francesco, who now has more time for you, what you would like including specialties off the menu - don't forget to ask for prices - and you will experience the best culinary evening of their lives. My saving tip: order 1 large Italian salad and 1 large pizza to share for 2 people. Don't be surprised if half the pizzas are already served to you on two plates...that's Francesco... ...and delicious oven-fresh bread and dressed olives as a starter are standard here, free of charge. My gourmet tip: Gnocchi with veal ragout is a very unusual delight, delicate goulash with polenta of the highest quality, unusual fish dishes (including angler goods if ordered in advance) - e.g. branzino in a salt crust and rosemary potatoes - only for gourmets, normal consumers cannot appreciate this and don't have the taste for that. Let yourself be surprised and pampered by Francesco's recommendations and "star cuisine"... Wines: Talk to the boss - he is a wine connoisseur. An open 1/4 white wine from Zenato is cheap for good quality. A bottle of “Ca de Frati” is a good tip for connoisseurs. Ask - Francesco will certainly always have something to suit your taste. Constantly look for good restaurants in the Kaiserslautern area. To date I haven't found anything better. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

Eine Freundin hatte uns vorbereitet: Wenn ihr bekannt seid, bekommt ihr einen guten Tisch und werdet schnell und zuvorkommend bedient. Wenn nicht ..... Und genau dieses "nicht" haben wir dann erlebt! Die oberflächlich freundliche Begrüßung (immerhin!), den Tisch an der Tür und extreme Wartezeiten (15 Minuten auf die Speisekarte, 15 Minuten auf die Bestellung, 20 Minuten auf die Vorspeise und 40 Minuten auf das Hauptgericht)! Das Essen war ordentlicher Durchschnitt, die Preise hinterließen aber einen faden Beigeschmack! Schön für Firenze, wenn wenigstens die hofierten Stammgäste 20 bis 25 Euro für einen Teller Nudeln bezahlen.

Essen gut, italienisch ohne Schnickschnack voll auf Geschmack. Essen wäre für mich sehr gut oder ausgezeichnet, wenn ausgefallenere orig. ital. Speisen angeboten werden würden. Z.B. Cima di Rappe, bacalao, Branzino, richtige Carbonara. Angebotene Gerichte sind aber sehr gut Massenkompatibel, was für den Umsatz und das fortbestehen des Restaurants wichtig sind. Nicht jeder ist leider bereit auch gutes Geld für gute Produkte zu zahlen. Preise sind günstig.Sehr gute Wein Auswahl, bis auf Schaumwein. Service mit leichten Defiziten. Service ist unterschiedlich aufmerksam.

Nix besonderes, man merkt das Stammkunden extrem bevorzugt werden.

Wir waren zu viert dort und alle vier waren sehr enttäuscht. Der italienische Salat vorab war nichts besonderes. Die Pizza war super dünn und geschmacklich kein Highlight, der Belag war seeehr überschaubar. Der Gipfel war aber das Tiramisu und das Panna Cotta , denn mit je 12 Euro war es noch überteuerter das der Rest. Wir wurden in 4 Stunden nicht 1x gefragt ob wir etwas zu Essen oder Trinken bestellen wollen, man hatte eher das Gefühl das man das Personal stört. Beim bezahlen wurde uns gesagt das wir nur bar zahlen könnten. Da wir aber kein Bargeld hatten wurde uns gesagt wir müssen alle zusammen bezahlen denn er (der Chef persönlich sagte uns das !!) müsse pro ec Zahlung 5% Gebühr zahlen und das wolle er nicht. Fazit: Das Essen hat geschmeckt aber war höchstens Durchschnitt. Wir werden dort nicht mehr essen, denn es war einfach kein schöner Abend dort.

Immer super gut und ganz klar zu empfehlen!

With all the Italian places in town, it takes a lot to stand out from the pack, and this restaurant from a price to food perspective is right in the middle of the pack. My pizza was decent for the price, but didn't stand out from some of the other places I have eaten at. If you have time to kill, then this is a nice place to eat outside and enjoy the atmosphere. Service is relaxed, so definitely give yourself extra time if you eat here. It's not a bad restaurant, but it's not memorable.

Ngl: Hummerschaumsüppchen hat mich zum wegschmelzen gebracht. Klar Pizza können die auch bellisimo, aber immer nachfragen was gerade auf der Tageskarte ist. Alle anderen Italiener in KL machen kebap dagegen.

Absolutes Top-Ambiente, egal ob drinnen oder draußen. Besitzer & Familie sind tolle Gastgeber. Essen und Speisen absolute Top Qualität. Fisch und Tagesgerichte sehr empfehlenswert. Kommen immer wieder gerne zu Francesco.😎

The al forno pastas are AMAZING. Out the oven with baked cheese on top, and your pasta is sitting on a bed of bechamel sauce. Highly recommend!

Einfach ein tolles italienisches Restaurant mitten in der Altstadt von Kaiserslautern. Sehr nettes Personal, das Essen wird schnell serviert und man schmeckt die Frische und die Qualität des Essens mit jeder weiteren Gabel. Meiner Meinung der beste Italiener der Stadt.

Essen war gut aber total überteuert. Service, sehr lange Wartezeiten bei den Nachbestellungen. Beim Bezahlen, mit der EC Karte nicht so gern gesehen, Bargeld ist Ihm lieber. Na ja. Nicht mehr mit mir.

Setting: Donnerstagabend 19Uhr. Erster Besuch im Restaurant. Sehr schönes Ambiente. Restaurant gut voll (Reservieren empfohlen). Freundliche Bedienung. Und Inhaber sehr freundlich und lustig. Essen (Pizza Magaritha) sehr lecker. Restaurant bietet zusätzlich zur normalen Speisekarte weitere wechselnde Gerichte an. Die man erfragen kann. Dieses Restaurant kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Leckere Pasta mit Salsiccia bei der ich mir wider der Aussage des Personals nicht sicher bin, ob die Pasta selbst hausgemacht ist. Die Soße vielleicht, die Nudeln sehen für mich nach gekauft aus. Nichtsdestotrotz hat es lecker geschmeckt, allerdings viel zu teuer. Allgemein waren die Nudelgerichte übertrieben teuer. Die Pizza war ebenfalls sehr lecker und preislich in Ordnung. Die Location gefiel mir gut, draußen und drinnen sitzt es sich sehr schön.

Mein Lieblings-Italiener in KL. Sehr leckere Pizza. Hatte erst einmal Pasta gegessen, welche auch sehr gut war. Sehr guter Thunfisch-Salat. Gute Rotweine. Immer wieder gerne. Manchmal dauert es etwas länger, das gehört hier aber dazu. Franzesco ist immer gut gelaunt. So wie ich mir den Besuch beim Italiener vorstelle.

Die Bewertungen versprechen zum Teil viel. Leider können sie nicht erfüllt werden. Ich bin nicht aus der Gegend und wollte mich überraschen lassen. Zutreffend ist es, dass der Inhaber Unterschiede in der Behandlung der Gäste macht. Traurig. Leider sind die Preise zum Teil überteuert: Tartuffo 10 Euro Gefüllte Nudeln , Tagesempfehlung 20 Euro.......... Das zahlen wir nicht einmal bei einem sehr guten Italiener in Mannheim oder Heidelberg. Wir waren uns einig, dort gehen wir nicht mehr hin
