Very big and loud. Unfortunately not suitable for a romantic meal for two. To fill you up for a relatively fair price, it's definitely good. We often order pizza to pick up.

Went for dinner with 4 people on Saturday evening. Super tasty, friendly service staff. You can tell that everything is freshly prepared here! Price/performance ratio is really great!! Will visit you again on our next visit to KL 👍👍👍👍👍

This is by far, the #1 wood stove pizzaria in Kaiserslautern and surrounding area! The owner/staff are exceptional and focus on customer service/satisfaction. In addition to their authentic wood stove pizzas, which are reasonably priced, large, with quality and generous toppings, there are many other options to include, but not limited to pastas, salads, and desserts. My family and I went to Milano's almost every weekend for 8 years while living and working in Kaiserslautern due to the variety of menu options, excellent prices, superior customer service, and overall atmosphere (to include outdoor seating during spring/summer months). We always make it a priority to go to Milano's during our visits from USA to Kaiserslautern. Finally, due to the size of this facility/seating capacity, it is an excellent location for large family venues (birthdays, etc.), office gatherings, or farewells.

On weekends you definitely have to reserve a table. Very busy for good reason.

We reserved a table for six people at 7 p.m. We waited over half an hour. People who came after us were placed before us.

Although we came with 7 people without a reservation, we were seated at a table relatively quickly, despite Saturday evening! The staff tried very hard, despite the presumably high level of stress, as there was a lot going on there. The food also came very quickly and everyone enjoyed it excellently. Service was always present and drinks always came very quickly. Absolutely recommended!

Loved the desserts. The pasta I ordered was encased in the same cheese as the lasagna. It wasn't what I expected but good. It would have been better with less cheese.

Unfortunately, even the small pizzas are much too big. Everyone actually takes something with them afterwards. I think matching portions are nicer. But the food is really great!

Food was really good, service too. However, we had to wait about 40 minutes for a table and it was very loud. Not so suitable for a date evening, if you already have your sweetheart, then I recommend it because of the food.

The second time I go to Milano KL. A large restaurant, with Italian specialties. The pizzas are big and good, The soufflé wasn't great - a rather industrial taste. Welcome and professional service, EXCEPT one of the waitresses who is really slow and no smile (she should change jobs, she behaved as if she were a model and someone is forcing her to work as a waitress)

I honestly don't know why this place has such high reviews. Our pizzas tonight were so doughy, almost inedible. Multiple people at our table ordered pasta and they all somehow tasted similar, even though they were vastly different dishes, one being carbonara and another being a tomato one. They shouldn't taste similar. While you get big portions, doesn't make up for how mediocre this food was. The waitress was the one good thing that came out of the meal. Will not be returning.

Ich habe mich anstelle der Mensa an der Uni für das Milano entschieden. Auf den ersten Blick alles ok. Die Portionen sind viel zu groß und die Pizzen zum Teil nicht ganz durchgebacken. Bei einer Stunde Mittagspause wird es auch häufiger zu knapp und man gerät in Stress, wenn man auf das Essen wartet. In der Qualität konnten mich weder Pizza noch Pasta überzeugen. Das Personal ist freundlich, dass reißt die Qualität des Essesn etwas raus. Das Ambiente ist wegen der Halle auch nicht so toll.

We ordered takeout, and the quality was disappointing. The pasta had burnt residue around the edges, the shrimp were tiny and clearly frozen, and the soup lacked flavor. It felt like no one checked the food before packing it. Definitely not worth the price or the hassle. Two stars.

The food is mediocre. German idea of what Italian food/pizza is. Not bad, just not good. Pizzas are big, if you’re hungry this is a plus. If you’re looking for something more authentic Italian and going for taste, skip this one. The location was good. One younger waitresses was stuck up and rude while the old lady waitress was cheerful and great. Nothing more than three stars, the ones who rate higher don’t know what good Italian food is.

If you like it loud and uncomfortable, if quantity is more important to you than quality, then this place should be right for you.

Very delicious food! Worth every penny! The pizzas are huge! I mean like wow! The flavor is on point and don’t get me started on the ice cream! The caramel with the vanilla ice cream and caramel popcorn was a combination I’ve never had! The onion soup was really good as well! Our waitress was nice too. Not crazy attentive but she performed her duties.

We recently went to Milano and enjoyed some great pizza. The restaurant offers a cozy, Italian ambience that immediately feels inviting and creates a pleasant atmosphere. The pizza was simply fantastic. The dough was perfectly thin and crispy, but at the same time soft and airy inside - just like you want from a real Italian pizza. The topping was fresh and the ingredients were high quality. We were particularly impressed by the classic Margherita - a harmonious interplay of tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil that perfectly captured the typical Italian taste. The service was also very friendly and attentive. The waiting time was short and the staff responded sensitively to all requests without being intrusive. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Milano, and we will definitely be back. If you are looking for authentic Italian pizza in a pleasant atmosphere, you will definitely find it here.

Pasta is bad. In the Bolognese sauce you have to look for the mince with a magnifying glass, bacon doesn't exist and the carbonara is made with cream and ham. So I have no idea about Italian cuisine 🙈 The pizzas are OK. I don't understand how the good reviews come about. The background noise is unbearable. The service was friendly.

Food was good as always, organization for a Christmas party is not recommended. We were booked with 46 people, due to illness and duty schedules there were 36 of us, reserved seats wouldn't have been enough for everyone and the tables were very impractically placed so that groups inevitably formed.

We recently had dinner with 6 people. After the bill was divided, we recalculated and in 3 out of 5 partial bills we were charged too much. After we asked the waiter about it, the overcharge was paid, but we were treated so unfriendly and we weren't even apologized for. That was our last visit.

Unfortunately, Milano has somehow deteriorated. The food is still great. Where do you get such big pizzas...? But the service has deteriorated in the last 3 visits. First 2 out of 3 people got their food, when they were almost finished the food for the third person came. On the second visit, one person apparently forgot their food (it only came when asked and the others were finished). On the last visit you were brought to the table and then ignored for 10-15 minutes (without drinks etc.). The waitress so often walks past the table, but we were probably invisible. When paying we wanted to pay separately (group of four), but the cashier didn't want to because he didn't have time. Of course, when there's a lot going on, you're stressed. But in other restaurants this also works when the house is full and you take your time... Unfortunately we didn't have any good experiences. Maybe we'll give it another chance in a few years. But not anymore for now...

Das Ambiente hat ein etwas kühles Hallenniveau, aber das Essen war sehr gut, und das Personal freundlich und flott. Zum Glück hatten wir alle kleine Pizzen bestellt, denn es gibt drei Größen zur Auswahl, aber die waren schon so groß, dass einige von uns nur die Hälfte schafften und den Rest mit nachhause nehmen mussten. Wer große, äußerst schmackhafte, und knusprige, üppig belegte Pizzen liebt, der ist hier genau richtig. Und die Preise sind absolut gerechtfertigt. Hierher kommen wir immer wieder gerne.

One of the pizzas I ordered was black on the edge. We complained about it. Then a waiter came and said he had cut it off. So a pizza without a crust. We said that wouldn't work. He wanted to explain to us that it was possible during the week but not on the weekend. I told him it had nothing to do with the day of the week and that you just have to be careful with the oven. He wanted to talk his way out of it and said yes, we can eat noodles. Well other Italians can do it too. There was no apology or anything. The restaurant is more like a hall.

I'll never understand why this place is so so so so so so so overhyped. Being English friendly is definitely one advantage, but I don't see any other specialty in their foods. Their menu is absolutely over priced for the ingredients they use. (The other time i ordered a shrimp past and they put tiny fried rice shrimps in it...... for 15€ dish) I can find so much better and more authentic Italian dishes for better prices at so many other places. Seriously what's up with folks in kaiserslautern????

It's always nice to find a restaurant that does fire-baked pizzas. Yet, other than that - their pasta is hit or miss. This is their lasagna, that I got to go - the picture speaks for itself. Not a fan, but this seems to be the norm over here.

I called and asked if I should make a reservation and was told that I should just come because there was still something available. I went there in the evening and it was completely full. I waited 15 minutes without anyone noticing me and then I was told to wait. I waited another 10 minutes and then left. What a disgrace. I call specifically to ask if I should make a reservation. I'm told that I can just show up and then I'm not even noticed or served. Very disappointed!

Certainly I can recommend this place. A shortcoming, but this is criticism at a high level. The smallest pizza has a diameter of 33cm, which is considered large in many pizzerias. This would definitely be too big for small guests. But that's complaining at a high level. Price performance is definitely right and great importance is attached to freshness

We were in Milano for the first time, We can only recommend the friendly service and the delicious pizzas with top fresh ingredients. Even the “little” one leaves you (woman) completely full. Unfortunately, the outside area is very dark and it could be better maintained - but that's no reason for us not to come back! When you pay you also get to know the boss.

Milano is always beautiful. Large pizzas, great salads, highly recommended the farfalle with crab meat and gnocchi gorgonzola. Friendly, fast service, despite a full house. Reservations can be recommended on weekends. The atmosphere is loud but not uncomfortable. Always my pleasure! The toilet facility is sufficiently large, meaning you don't have to wait in front of one or two cubicles.

Allerdings sind die Gerichte sehr gut zubereitet und schnell am Platz, auch Nachbestellungen werden sehr schnell erledigt. Das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis ist meiner Ansicht nach ebenfalls überdurchschnittlich gut, das Personal freundlich und zugänglich. Allerdings ist das Milano für einen gemütlichen, stilvollen und persönlichen Restaurantbesuch eher weniger geeignet.
