I drove from the North Sea to Oberursel for a few days to go on vacation. Went to dinner with you and everything was very good. Keep it up. The Pizzeria Desiree is recommended. I'll definitely come back. Many greetings from the North Sea.

Fish cuisine very good, service a disaster (with the exception of the younger service staff), people with mobility problems not welcome. It must be said in advance that we have been regular guests for many years and that a family member's regulars' table met there regularly for many years. But the problems kept repeating themselves, so the regulars' table was gone. It should be noted in advance that the fish cuisine is excellent. It's certainly not a cheap place, it costs around 70 euros for two people, but the quality of the food is good. The 80s atmosphere and the poor benches are not rated here; the toilets are small, but always clean. The very young service staff are always friendly. But the problems lie with the owner himself. As an example, I called last Saturday around noon and made a reservation for the evening. What was desired was a place downstairs (capacity approx. 7 tables, one of which cannot be used by people with walking difficulties). I was accompanied by my relatives who were severely disabled. At the time of arrival, all 6 tables in question were occupied, despite reservation confirmation. The only table that we couldn't sit at and that had been explicitly excluded over the phone was offered to us. I said that we had reserved another table. The owner yelled at us in front of all the customers that we were an hour late. That was a lie, we were about 5 minutes late. We were then given a place over narrow steps that were difficult to climb and which would have been life-threatening for my relatives in the event of a fall. Deposited between the smoking room and the toilet with the smell of plumbing, on a bench where an elderly person can hardly sit. Restaurants that have no respect for customers' reservations or for the elderly and people with walking disabilities clearly show a lack of respect for the customer. It doesn't work that way and that's exactly the reason why the regulars' table left at the time.

Very tasty lasagna eaten on site. Large, diverse Italian menu. Small and fine. Food is definitely delicious. Benches take some getting used to and are a bit old. Good price-performance ratio.

Very tasty pizza, classic Italian.

The pizza is wonderful, just perfect. I have lived in Bad Homburg for 20 years and have never eaten better pizza. If you want something good for yourself, then spend some money and go here!

The sauce and cheese on the pizza were perfectly fine, but the dough was unfortunately unseasoned. Apart from that, ordering and collection went smoothly. Also very solid price-performance ratio.

In terms of seasoning, the pizza was unfortunately disappointing; the dough tasted more like unseasoned bread dough than pizza. The pizza was large and filling but unfortunately didn't need to be repeated in terms of taste.

On the phone I explicitly stated the number of noodles I wanted, as this is often overlooked. Instead of the 2 portions we ordered, we were served 3 again and charged accordingly. There's no point in arguing; the gentleman insisted on his money. That's pretty customer unfriendly! The pasta itself was an absolute disaster in terms of taste and the last time I experienced something so carelessly prepared was 30 years ago. The dish was unseasoned, simply had no taste at all, and the minced meat was so questionable that I preferred to leave it alone. The whole thing was served in an aluminum plate with a tiny touch of cheese poured over it. There can be no question of Rigatoni al Forno. You couldn't enjoy it either in terms of taste or appearance.

Since I ate a pizza with ingredients from a jar in another restaurant two weeks ago, I asked the landlord if it was fresh on his pizza, which was answered somewhat grumpily in the affirmative. Unfortunately no! Mushrooms & peppers back out of the jar. And then when I asked, I fibbed, as if you couldn't taste baked goods (from the glass display case) and sour P. from the glass. Disappointed!!

Für mich der beste Italiener in Bad Homburg. Gemütlich, familiär, traditionell und frisch. Ich komme mit meiner Familie seit bestimmt 20 Jahren zu Angelo. Emilio macht einen super Job in der Küche! Danke für das super leckere Essen! Wir kommen immer wieder.

Alteingesessenes italienisches Restaurant. Pizza sehr lecker, ging auch sehr schnell.

In einem etwas biederen, altmodischem aber nett und neugierig anzuschauendem Ambiente kann man hervorragend speisen. Die Pizzen sind frisch, umfangreich und schmackhaft belegt, der Boden knackig und doch angenehm weich. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett, freundlich, höflich und aufmerksam. Eine echte kleine Überraschung - man muss nur Geduld für die Parkplatzsuche mitbringen, wenn man Nähe am Restaurant parken möchte - aber das ist in der Altstadt von Bad Homburg immer der Fall.

Nach einer Rezension mit nur zwei Sternen und einem missratenem Abend vor längerer Zeit waren wir wieder im Desiree. Dieses Mal hat es besser geklappt und es war alles in Ordnung. Etwas Luft nach oben ist noch und die werden wir demnächst auch testen. Es gibt Sachen, die macht er einfach hervorragend wie die frischen Angebote aus der Fischvitrine und einige italienische Klassiker. Fleisch versteckt unter Soße ist es nicht. Die Weine (auch deren Preise) und der Service (der Chef ist wie er ist) sind gut, da gab es nichts zu meckern. Mal schauen, ob es für den 5. Stern reicht, Bericht folgt.

Seit Jahren eines unserer liebsten Restaurants in Bad Homburg - Highlight das große Fenster das im Sommer immer auf ist. Der Besitzer immer vor Ort und immer super freundlich - dazu hervorragendes Essen, besonders der frische Fisch ein Traum.

Für mich der beste Italiener oder sogar das beste Restaurant in Bad Homburg. Haute Cousine oder Schicky Mickey ausgenommen. Ehrliche gute, frische Küche mit Herz zubereitet. Das Ambiente ist sauber und in Ordnung aber nicht posh!

Der perfekte(!) Italiener in der Nachbarschaft. Das Essen ist von toller Qualität und das seit Jahren! Uneingeschränkt empfehlen kann ich die Pasta della Chef und den ital. Salat! Perfetto. Allerdings besteht beim Wein etwas Luft nach oben…😉

Top authentische italienisches Essen. Sehr nettes Personal, Chef, Koch und Bedienung waren aussergewöhnlich.

Unser Lieblingsitaliener, hier geht die ganze Familie gerne hin. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr gut, vor allem die Pizza ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Essen qualitativ gut, da gibt es wenig zu meckern. Chef etwas „kauzig“, wirkt auf den ersten Eindruck unfreundlich, ist aber eigentlich liebenswert. Insgesamt gute 4 Sterne.

Nettes und alt eingesessenes Lokal mit typisch italienischer Küche. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.

Wir gehen seit über 18 Jahren regelmäßig dort essen. Emilio, der Koch, ist einfach großartig. Angelo, der Patrone mit rauher Schale und sehr gutem Herz!! Beide ein tolles Team. Heute Seezunge, Rinderfilet mit Gorgonzola, frische Calamari. Einfach lecker. Es schmeckt einfach gut. Wir gehen sehr gerne dort hin. Wer einen schicki-micki italiener sucht, sollte wo anders hingehen.

Sehr teuer für eine einfache Pizzeria

Zur Zeit , d. h. In Corona Pandemie kann man in Desiree nur Speisen zur Abholung bestellen. Wir haben vor ein paar Tagen Pizza gegessen, vier verschiedene und alle vier waren köstlich. Reich belegt und der Boden war knusprig, wie man sich das vorstellt. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt einfach!

Habe Seezunge bestellt... in COVID-19 Zeit etwas schwierig!!! Qualität wie gewohnt exzellent! Für mich „Der“ Italiener in Bad Homburg! Kein Chichi oder Highsociety blablabla! Einfach super Essen!!! Manchmal Frankfurter Fußballstars! Bitte macht weiter so!!!! Ein sehr dankbarer zufriedener Kunde Charlie Jean Bechoux

Die Pizzeria Desiree ist eine ehrliche und leckere Pizzeria - zwar nicht sonderlich modern aber das ist auch gar nicht nötig, wer einen klassischen Italiener sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Neben Pizza und Pasta kann man auch gut Fisch oder Fleisch essen. Auch super hausgemachtes Tiramisu und Hausweine - sogar keine kleine Terrasse und Parkplätze im Hof vorhanden. Ich im Coronalockdown schnell bestellt und abgeholt...

Der Chef kocht, Ambiente und Preis, sehr gut

Leckeres Essen, nur dich Zufall vorbei gekommen. Terrasse liegt ruhig im Innenhof. Hunde sind ebenfalls willkommen

Die Einrichtung ist im Stil der 80er Jahre. Unser Essen Pizza Margherita und Spaghetti Vongole und Chardonnay haben nicht überzeugt. Pizza hat nach Tiefkühlware geschmeckt und der Chardonnay hatte keine Frische nur Säure. Spaghetti Vongole waren nicht gewürzt und die Vongole waren Miniaturen. Insgesamt kann ich den Besuch des Lokals nicht empfehlen.

Endlich haben wir diesen Italiener ausprobiert. Die teils negativen Bewertungen, die sich primär auf die Freundlichkeit des Wirtes bezogen, können wir nicht teilen. Die Bedienung und ihr Vater, der der Koch ist, waren typisch italienisch herzlich. Die Vorspeise, Vitello Tonato, köstlich, ebenso die gemischten Nudeln und die Tagliatelle quattro fromaggi. Die Weine sind moderat kalkuliert und die Einrichtung ein wenig in die Jahre gekommenen. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben drei Favoriten in Bad Homburg für italienische Küche, jetzt haben wir vier, nämlich diesen Italiener. Schön old fashiond, aber das Essen sehr gut. Als Vorspeise Vitello Tonnato für zwei, köstlich, als Hauptgericht Pasta Mista ebenfalls köstlich. Der Wein auch gut. Der Patron macht nicht viel, egal, der Koch kam an unseren Tisch mit frisch geriebenem Parmegiano für die Pasta, klasse, seine Tochter die Perle des Service, perfetto. Also alles in allem molto bene. Man wird uns öfters sehen...

jeder Träumt von Italien und hat den Geschmack von frischen Kräutern, saftigen Tomaten, fangfrischen Fisch oder Calamari im Kopf. Die gut bürgerliche, ehrliche, schmackhafte und authentische Küche Italiens wird nach jedem Urlaub gesucht. Hier bei Desiree wird man fündig. Italienische Küche ohne viel Schnick Schnack, individuell schmackhaft. Wir gehen gerne zu unserer Famila Desiree.

Es mag sicherlich vom Gastraum schönere italienische Restaurants in Bad Homburg geben, aber wir wurden hier als Truppe von Monteuren, auch mit Essenserfahrung in Italien noch nie enttäuscht ! Die zwei Inhaber sind coole, ältere Herren mit Stil, untertstützt seit ca 2 Jahren durch Tochter (glaube ich zu wissen) und noch ein junges Mödel passt das Team und hat Charme! Wir hatten hier schon so ziemlich alles, Muscheln, Fisch, Pasta und Pizza und es war immer schmackhaft und lecker! Hier wird noch gekocht und gebacken wie in Italien! Wer gut italienisch essen amg zu fairen Preisen ohne das Schicki-Micki drum herum deutlich mit zu zahlen, der ist hier gut aufgehoben! Wir mögen den Laden!! Die Mädels sind fix am Glas und die Küche weiß, was sie macht!!Immer freundlich gleich gegenüber unseres netten , kleinen Hotels eine gute Adresse um den Abend entspannt ausklingen zu lassen!!

No wonder, the owner sits on a large table near the entrance, and even if someone is looking for a larger seating, he doesn’t even bother to give up his place, similarly the staff has a bad service attitude. The food maybe good, but that is ruined through the way you are approached, looked at, and serviced, as if they are doing you a favor. This is typical for the Gastronomic arena in Bad Homburg and in Hessen. Avoid it.

We love to just stop in for a plate of fresh seafood and salad! Small coax place to have a nice dinner, well known for over 20 years!

Nice place and Anglio is a friendly host....Pizza was good and other pasta dishes...basic items...bit pricey for what is there..

don't know where to start. the service was very good and friendly, the wine was also very good and the food was exquisite ! the restaurant allows for comfortable and easy seating, the atmosphere was friendly and familiar. if in Bad Homburg or around there, you like Italian ? Go there ! further words are not necessary :-)
