480 GRADI • Pizzeria Napoletana in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe

I am still shocked and speechless and feel DISCRINATED as a German, a Christian and a woman...and this in my own country! I had reserved a table for 5 pm today... with an older lady, so two of us... at 5:23 pm (we hadn't even finished our food yet) we were told the table was reserved again from 6 pm. I was very upset and said we had just arrived and hadn't even had our food yet... she said she would arrange something else... then at 6:12 pm a server came to our table with a voucher for a pizza for next time, if we would please leave now... I said that we were currently having a conversation and that we wanted to stay... some restaurants offer a two-hour time slot, which is just about acceptable... then the manager came and said we should please leave, as there were already people outside who were very hungry because of Ramadan... I couldn't believe my ears... firstly, they either need to organize things differently, or these Ramadan people should just eat a banana or some other snack... or they should have told us this when we made the reservation... I feel... So discriminated against... I then asked him if he was Muslim... he confirmed... and then it all became clear to me... his compatriots are first-class citizens, and Germans are being kicked out of their own country... he told me I should be understanding... for the pointless fasting incident. At least he said we didn't have to pay for this inconvenience, but in reality (and I told him this too), I would have preferred to pay and sit and chat for another hour... I'm absolutely speechless, and I'm never setting foot in that place again. I'm going to tell all my friends and acquaintances... unbelievable and extremely discriminatory!!!!

We're not from Bad Homburg, but whenever we're out for a stroll or planning a trip with friends or family (e.g., to the Lochmühle), we like to include a stop at 480GRADI. Why? The food is fantastic, and our grandchildren are always warmly welcomed. A particular highlight is the beautiful oven right in the restaurant. The little ones love watching their favorite pizzas being baked. Not to mention the great salads and generous portions. I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it! 😆

Unfortunately, reservations aren't possible, but the service is quick and friendly, and the pizzas are prepared promptly after ordering. The oven is located in the restaurant, so you can watch them being made. The dough is delicious and fluffy, and the toppings are ample. I would definitely eat there again. Leftovers are packed up upon request. Delivery is also available.

It's not exactly great. The story about why the pizza isn't cut comes across as a bit pretentious, and then you have to chop it up yourself. Plus, there's that Instagram quote on the box (Life is too short for bad pizza 😅) – but the pizza is often burnt. There's always something wrong with every order. And it's a bit too expensive. The ingredients are good, but considering what's on it and how it tastes... well. I'll take that saying to heart and avoid this place in the future.

We drive about an hour each way to get here; the pizzas are simply a 10/10 and absolutely worth the trip. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is beautifully classic and cozy. However, parking is rather difficult. Reservations are highly recommended during peak times, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Since May 2022, Louisenstraße, Bad Homburg's main shopping street, has gained a new culinary attraction. While it's not a Michelin-starred restaurant, it is a newly opened, simply and modernly furnished pizzeria. One might think this would be boring, given the prevalence of pizza. However, my wife and our two children have already enjoyed several of the truly numerous and creatively prepared pizzas here, and we believe they are among the best pizzas in our city. Whenever we decide to order pizza, we always choose "480 Gradi." The pizzeria's name suggests that the delicious pizzas are baked at around 480 degrees Celsius in a very decorative pizza oven. Of course, they also offer delivery. What's particularly special and almost unique, however, is that only the ham and sausage from beef are halal, even in the non-vegetarian options. This way, people of the Muslim faith can also enjoy the delicious pizzas instead of just passing by the enticing aroma of pizzas. The pizza makers are very professional, the service is exceptionally friendly, and on top of that, there's a discount: For every 10 pizzas you pay for and have stamped on a card, you get one pizza up to €12 free. What kind of pizzeria is it where you can't even have a glass of beer or wine with your pizza? Why is that? The service is slow and inattentive. I can think of plenty of Italian restaurants in the immediate area that do a better job.

We had a wonderful visit to Pizzeria Napoletana! We received a warm welcome upon arrival – even with our macaw Jacqueline 🦜, we were absolutely welcome. The entire team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and cheerful. ❤️🫶 The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can immediately tell that everyone here works with passion. We waited two hours for the pizzas, and then they were only lukewarm. The mortadella was already dark. They tasted awful. Really disappointing. And we paid full price for that. No goodwill gesture whatsoever.

I was very happy with the pizzeria last night. The service was friendly, the pizza was delicious and arrived very quickly, and they offered high-quality cola (Fritz!Cola). Price-wise, I definitely can't complain. You're paying for quality that you can taste. I will definitely visit this pizzeria more often when I'm in town.

Even though it wasn't particularly busy, we had to wait forever for our order to even be taken. Then it took a while for the drinks to arrive. And then again for the food to arrive. The guests at the next table had a similar experience and were a bit annoyed. The food itself was really good: the salami pizza had a generous amount of salami on it, and the tuna salad and delicious pizza bread were very generous. We definitely won't go back, as there are other pizzerias with the same oven and creative pizzas where the service is top-notch and you don't feel like you're being a burden.

Great pizza, my congratulations to the Pizzaiolo! One of the best pizzas I tried in Hessen. On the other side, the Tiramisu was pretty bad, didn’t taste the Mascarpone and the Biscotti was dry. When asked the waitress, she said it was a mix of mascarpone and whipped cream to last longer. Honestly, didn’t feel any mascarpone or cheese, was not mentioned in the Menu, and after trying such a nice pizza, this ruined the memory at your restaurant. Hope you guys change this in the future.

The pizza at 480 Gradi Pizzeria Napoletana is truly delicious, and the shop also has a great location right on Louisenstraße. However, the prices are too high in my opinion, and it was particularly annoying that we once had to wait 80 minutes for two pizzas for delivery – and that was at 6 p.m. on a weekday (I would somehow understand it on weekends). No one was available either by phone or online to inquire about our order.

I took a takeaway anchovy pizza with my toddlers. When I got home, I realized it had a bit more rust (a good burn on top and bottom) than I'd liked. If I'd eaten it at a restaurant, I would have complained. Since neither I nor my toddlers want to die of stomach or colon cancer in 30 years, I threw it in the trash and quickly cooked something else. Unfortunately, I hadn't planned on writing a review, so I didn't take any photos.

I ordered a pizza and it was there five minutes later, when I came back from washing my hands. A short while later, it arrived at my table, lukewarm. The dough was rather soft. I wouldn't recommend it. Since I was the only customer, I asked if they make pizzas in advance and then reheat them. I received neither an explanation nor an apology, just a €1.40 discount. Right?

The food is delicious. High-quality ingredients are used. The price is reasonable. Seats are quite cramped inside, and it can get noisy. If you order online for over €40, you get a pizza cutter for free. I initially wanted €2 for it, since I had selected the pizza cutter online. After some discussion, I received it for free, as described online.

Nice pizzeria. The service isn't worth it. Since you have to pay at the counter anyway, you could also have your order placed there, which would speed things up a bit. The pizza is excellent.

We only go there for pizza now. By far the best vegan pizza I've ever had in a restaurant. The vegan mozzarella is even free! Tip: Ask them to add the basil fresh at the end. Otherwise, it'll burn. 😉 The ambiance is nice, right in the middle of town, but we personally find the strong smell of Douglas to be annoying, so we'll only eat inside from now on. The restaurant is very popular; you have to be lucky to get a seat, but it's worth it! Reservations aren't possible.

I ordered delivery through Lieferando and got free delivery. A must-try for Bad Homburg residents. JMT's dough is chewy and the sauce is delicious. It's a restaurant I'll miss when I go back to Korea.

Delicious pizza is quick and tastes absolutely delicious. What's really annoying, however, is that you can only pay with debit and Visa cards. I only had a Mastercard, though, and never had a problem with it before, but here I did. So I had to go and withdraw cash to pay. I understand they don't accept American Express, but I've never only accepted Visa and not Mastercard.

At the time of our visit, only cash payments were accepted (hopefully only temporarily). This is a particularly delicious pizzeria – the pizza chef is truly skilled, highly recommended! I was just a little disappointed today: My salad was missing pine nuts. The waitress explained that they must have forgotten them and offered to bring them separately – but by then I was almost finished eating. I hope the chef doesn't forget a single ingredient, otherwise the dish would be missing a piece of his soul.

We only asked for the table to be wiped because there were leftovers from the people before us, and they tried to explain to me that it was normal for the tables to be sticky, although that wasn't my concern at all (which, of course, isn't normal either). There weren't many customers there, and we wanted to take a pizza to go. The waiter said it would take 5 minutes, and we waited. 1. The pizza had been ready for 10 minutes somewhere else and was served cold. 2. The pizza wasn't sliced, and we were left trying to eat a whole pizza in the park without cutlery. It was a mess.
