I was excited to try the place since it was recommended so much to me, however, at least the experience of eating there, to be honest, was not the best. It is self-service and it is true that there is a sign that warns you, but the food is not the best. We ordered carbonara and basil, mozzarella and tomato pizza, I wouldn't recommend the carbonara, it was delicious but it wasn't carbonara, and the pizza was good, not the best in Weimar. It is not good value for money, yes, very fast preparing the food. Recommend it? If you go to order takeout and you take into account the price and quality, fine, but there are better and cheaper places.

A small but very nice pizzeria in the middle of Weimar. There is some seating indoors, rustic style, no table service, self-service only. Delicious pizza, in a variety of variations from the stone oven, fresh pasta with different sauces, everything was very tasty. Prices a little higher, but ok for the quality.

We love Antonio's pizza! Solid, delicious pizza with a generous amount at a fair price. In summer, just take it with you and enjoy it in the park on the Ilm. Maybe the best pizza I've ever eaten in Weimar.The place is small but the taste is excellent.

We have come to this place and got really disappointed. 1. Pizza was tasty, but there was no salami, although we have ordered with it (it is seen on the pic attached) 2. The pizzamaker wasn't friendly, rather irritated. He can't even speak English, so we couldn't ask him properly even about the place to wash hands When we asked about the allergens (written in the end of the pizza name in brackets), the pizzamaker has replied there is nothing written. 3. Hygiene was bad. The pizzamaker hasn't had gloves, and even worse, he was keeping his phone on the top of the dough pie. 4. The pizzamaker hasn't warned payments by card are not available. We figured out that we can pay in cash only by the moment of picking the pizza up. Can't recommend this place, atmosphere and pizzamaker's attitude were bad, and pizza doesn't comply with it's description.

We came here, because we read the other Reviews that they were the best pizzas in Weimar, but we disappointed them a little as they are overrated. You can tell that they are handmade pizzas and the dough is good, but the flavors are not incredible. I ordered Antonio's pizza, which is supposedly the most famous and it only tasted like strong cheese and canned pepperoni, it was not fresh. On the other hand, they do not warn you that you can only pay in cash. Also when we finished and went to pay, they first served people who were ordering pizzas and we had to wait to pay and leave.

Wer gerne frisch gebackene knusprige Pizza aus dem Steinofen mag, der ist hier richtig. Auf dem Weg zu einem anderen Lokal sind wir hier vorbeigekommen und reingegangen. Das war eine gute Entscheidung. Das Lokal ist schlicht und recht klein, aber die Pizzen, die heute fast im Minutentakt über die Theke gingen, waren klasse. Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Pizzen, einmal mit Schinken und und eine vegetarische= beide richtig lecker. Es gibt keine Bedienung. Man bestellt die Pizza an der Theke (Ausgabe/Kasse), Getränke nimmt man sich aus dem daneben stehenden Kühlschrank. Gegessen wird an einfachen Holztischen. Wir waren begeistert und können es nur empfehlen, hier zu Essen.

Tasty, quick, not too expensive... Perfect if you're traveling with children who don't want to wait long. Self-service, toilets available, about 20 seats inside, so quite small. But comfy! Italian music was nice :-) we were totally satisfied. I had pizza with champions which was fresh. It was super tasty!!!

Best pizza in Weimar. With some distance. It's best to order directly in front of the pizza oven, wait on a bar stool and eat from the cardboard box. There is no service (or only ultra basic) and the atmosphere is more like 'street food'.

The pizza was very tasty, I even think it's the best pizza I know in all of Weimar in terms of dough and toppings. The store is actually only intended for pick-up, otherwise self-service is the order of the day and the facility isn't particularly worth seeing. The few tables outside are not worth it compared to a nearby bench in Ilmpark, for example. It's perfect for picking up, from what I've seen so far, the pizzas are usually put into the oven just in time and are then oven-fresh. Great praise also for choosing an uncoated pizza box made from recycled material, which is also much easier to compost. I had never seen or mentioned this before, but I think it's really great! One point that I have also read in other reviews, I think I also have to mention somehow, the hygiene. Especially when there is a lot of rush, which is apparently almost always the case, there is little time or space to pay separately until you have washed your hands or something similar. Especially since the person who first makes the subsequent toppings that are not baked again also makes the checkout. Gloves, as often mentioned, are actually quite impractical and, on top of that, not necessarily more hygienic. In my opinion, there is no time at all for washing your hands constantly (properly with soap, etc.) in all the hustle and bustle. Actually, all you have to do is touch the money with one hand and the food with the other and I think that's okay. Alternatively, a payment machine would certainly be the cleanest solution that could also relieve the burden on staff.

I have rarely experienced such bad service, although one actually has to speak of a lack of it. At first the waiter ignores me, even though he sees that I'm betting big. When I ask at some point inside, he confirms that you have to go to the checkout to order. A corresponding note is missing. When I want to pay I find out that card payment is not possible - welcome to Germany. There is no corresponding note for this either. The owner believes that as long as the law does not force him to do so, he does not accept card payments and does not have to provide a corresponding notice. He brings the whole thing across with an arrogance that is the icing on the cake for the lack of service. (I suspect that the pizzeria doesn't bill properly and is evading taxes.) Otherwise - the pizza was mediocre, as was the ambience. I advise against visiting.

Unfortunately, the service was very bad.... When I kindly pointed out that the ham on my pizza was unfortunately spoiled (smelled bad), which can happen from time to time, I just laughed in a non-service-oriented, arrogant way and said: "This is the 50th pizza with ham today and now the ham is suddenly bad?" received in response and was cynically laughed at/laughed at. Of course, dear pizza baker, the ham can spoil in this warm weather, especially after the 50th pizza (because it sits for a long time), of course!!! The service didn't even consider smelling the ham itself to check. Very shocking, absolutely not service-oriented and unfortunately absolutely not customer-friendly, I'm unfortunately totally shocked by this way of responding to a friendly comment from a customer in the catering industry. I'm constantly at a loss for words... :( Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with this disrespectful, arrogant behavior and would therefore unfortunately not recommend eating there/never eating there again. Overtaxing the service should not be at the expense of the customer's health. There were 4 of us there and we all smelled the ham and have all made up our minds! Unfortunately, it smelled rotten. We all understand that service staff (PIZZA BAKERS) can be overwhelmed when they have too much to do...but that shouldn't be at the expense of the customer's health, and certainly not like that communicated cheekily. An absolute NO GO!!! what happened here!! I've never experienced anything like that in the catering industry!! Any good innkeeper would have simply replaced the pizza and I hope you from Antonio will do that next TIME too, not that something will actually happen again if someone is a bad ham and the health department shows up at the door later. Food spoiling more quickly in the heat and the service not noticing it straight away can happen and is to be apologized for... but the reaction of this pizza maker is absolutely awesome and incomprehensible... and doesn't even deserve a single star!!! :( :( :(

The pizza is really decent for such a small shop, but nothing more. Self-service is popular, and people are trying hard but a little overwhelmed. I think most people come to pick something up. And if you know that and don't expect a restaurant with ambience and full service, it's a good option. In addition, many shops in Weimar close relatively early, so you can get something to eat here until 11 p.m.

One of the worst pizza ever. Tasteless, badly cooked with no seasoning. No care given. They couldn't even be bothered to cut it properly. Avoid this place is you like good pizza.

Food picked up, was ready quickly, super tasty and with decent portion sizes, aaaaber: one meal asked if it was vegetarian and there were slices of sausage, another meal with cheese sauce, even though it was ordered with tomato sauce - so overall not so great for vegetarians or lactose intolerant. If you eat on site you could definitely get a replacement dish if you make mistakes like this. But because we had picked up, that wasn't really possible. Too bad. I would have liked to have given a better review for this delicious meal.

Pizza ordered 1.5 hours in advance, unfortunately not ready when it arrived. You plan for a short waiting time, but we had to wait another 30 minutes on site. A pity. You could have saved yourself by pre-ordering it. Especially difficult when the child is waiting in the car. The pizza itself was ok. Ingredients were all fresh, except perhaps the pineapple might have been canned. But it was delicious and you'll be full too.

Einfache, schnelle Pizzen mit viel Auswahl bei der Auflage. Allerdings mit etwas viel Öl. Auf Ambiente wird kein Wert gelegt, man kann es als zweckmäßig bezeichnen, aber es läuft passende Musik auf der JBL-Pille. Preis ist OK.

Beste Pizza in ganz Weimar und Umgebung. Ich esse jetzt seit ca 30 Jahren Pizza beim Antonio. Es ist einfach noch alles wie damals. Super freundliche und gemütliche Atmosphäre kein Schnickschnak. Die Pizza ist in ca 10min fertig und schmeck fantastisch und das jedesmal. Ein muss wenn mann mal nach Weimar kommt.

Toller Selbstbedienungs-Italiener, der auch nach dem Konzert geöffnet hat und in der warmen Jahreszeit auch lauschige Plätze vor der Tür hat

Wir waren zum Wochenende in Weimar. Das Restaurant liegt sehr zentral. Gute Pizza, gute Nudelgerichte, sehr freundliche Bedienung.....

Super schnelle Küche zum mitnehmen. Durch und durch klassische Pizza mit Mozzarella und einer großen Auswahl an Belag. Würzig fein und das zu einem unschlagbaren Preis. Es gibt auch Tische wenn man vor Ort essen möchte und Wein.

Ideal für Kinder, wir teilen uns gern die großen Pizzen, tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Geschmack ist klasse.

Kleine und volle Pizzeria in der Altstadt von Weimar, mit italienischen Charme. Pizza 28 mit Mozzarella, Schinken, Champignons und auf meinen Wunsch mit extra Artischocken (3+). Gut belegt, etwas viel Öl und für meinen Geschmack zu dicken Rand. Die Nummer 10, mit Tomaten, Käse, Knoblauchsauce (extra) und Salami (2) war besser doch auch zu viel Öl. Dazu zwei Lübzer Radler. Knapp 30€. Das Klo (Sauberkeit 4) ist gefühlt aus den 80er.

War heute nach langem mal wieder dort und habe mir eine Pizza mit Käse und Spinat geholt. Bin echt überrascht, schmeckt sehr frisch, die Tomatensauce und der Teig fluffig. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Sehr einfach gehaltene Lokalität, Selbstbedienung, aber dafür stimmt das Wichtigste: nämlich die Qualität der Speisen. Die Zutaten sind immer alle frisch und man merkt, dass Antonio Wert auf deren Auswahl legt, die Pizza ist die beste bzw. für mich die einzige im ganzen Weimarer und Jenaer Umkreis. Auch der Kaffee ist besser als irgendwo sonst in Weimar.

Man kann sich keine bessere Pizza wünschen 🙂
