Awesome, delicious pizza, even I ate the crust. The tiramisu doesn't deserve the name tiramisu in my opinion... It's almost entirely made of cream, and that doesn't belong there. We were initially left sitting for a long time, even though there was only one other table occupied, until we finally asked for drinks ourselves. The delicious pizza made up for these two negative points, though. We'll definitely be back! The journey, which took just over an hour, was definitely worth it.

As pizza lovers, we absolutely had to try the pizza from world champion Francesco Ialazzo, and we were not disappointed. The crust was crispy yet fluffy. All four pizzas we tried were extremely delicious and special. The service was friendly and attentive. We recommend the Pizza Sofia. We were allowed to bring our dog into the restaurant.

As an absolute pizza addict, I've eaten quite a few pizzas in my life. But I've hardly enjoyed any other pizza as much as this one. We came from Mannheim, and after seeing this gem, I was already regretting that you don't have a restaurant in my city. And after the first bite, I was simply in love with this dream-made dough. We took another pizza home for breakfast the next day. Thank you so much for this delicious pizza. We'll definitely see each other again. I wish you continued success and all the best. And a little tip for guests traveling from further afield: Simply buy several pizzas at once and freeze them at home. 🤤😅

The pizzas are simply unbelievably delicious. The dough is perfect, and we'll be back. The price is a bit higher, but acceptable. Tip: let the kids share a pizza; it's plenty. Mine are almost 3 and 7.

We were on a trip and had dinner there. The pizza was delicious, the variations were numerous. The service was variable. Only block reservations are made. The service took a surprising amount of time to collect food and drinks. This automatically puts you under the stress of having to finish eating on time. What turned out to be somewhat harmless in the end was that our 'Tisch successors' hadn't appeared yet. Is it worth making the extra trip here? For pizza enthusiasts yes, otherwise not so much. But if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.

Food was good. Unfortunately service spoiled it. Very unfriendly and inflexible waiter. Arrived and was initially bullied because we had bags with us. Pizzas were thrown at us, no smiles, no please. Very unfriendly, unfortunately wouldn't come back despite the good food.

The prices for the pizzas are absolutely reasonable and they taste good too. However, the pizzas are not absolutely amazing. Sometimes extremely long waiting times when picking up, as guests come from far away because of the world championship title. People are resting a little on the title and thereby alienating the local population.

Based on a recommendation from a coworker, I decided to try "the best pizza in Ingelheim"—and given its reputation, perhaps the best in the world. I've had many pizzas, and I must say, the fame is well deserved. The pizza is incredible. But today, I want to talk about the people—you're the best! After dining in their warm and welcoming restaurant, I went home and realized I had left my aligners (invisible orthodontics) wrapped in a napkin on the table. Naturally, they ended up in the trash. When I returned and explained the situation, the team didn't hesitate for a second to help me. They all worked together to check each napkin in the trash bins. I wanted to assist, but with remarkable kindness, they told me they would handle it and that I could wait. Finally, they found them, washed them, and handed them back to me with a smile from ear to ear. These gestures are what truly make a difference—far beyond their reputation for great food. THANK YOU!

Absolutely disgusting. I can also prepare 20 liters of olive oil and crust myself at home. The rest is tasteless and slapped on. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

Extraordinary menu, unusual but very tasty constellations of ingredients - definitely happy again!

Not at all worthy of a pizza world champion. We were there with seven people and can say that neither the food, the ambience nor the service are world-class. It took forever before we could even order drinks (at the time there were only two other tables occupied), and the service was completely unmotivated and unfriendly. After 2.5 hours we finally received our pizzas. One was wrong, three others were so burnt from the bottom that the bitter substances could no longer be ignored. All in all the experience was subterranean. I have never eaten a worse Neapolitan pizza.

We absolutely loved Pizzeria Capri! The gourmet pizzas are a real highlight: wonderfully fluffy dough with fantastic roasted aromas, perfectly topped and simply incredibly tasty. Also recommended is the Vitello Tonnato as a starter and the wine. The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive and ensures that you feel completely comfortable. Tip: Be sure to reserve in advance, the store is rightly in high demand. We'll definitely be back!

We ate at Pizzeria Capri about a week ago. At first we were served quite quickly, the drinks came straight away and we had enough time to choose our food. Unfortunately, my pizza wasn't brought to the table until much later, when the others had already eaten half of their pizzas. I was told in a relatively unfriendly manner that my pizza would arrive later (“Your pizza will be here soon, we haven’t forgotten you.” - However, the pizza was obviously forgotten…). There was no apology. The pizza was great, but we weren't served any more once our food was on the table. You could have asked if we would like to order more drinks. However, that didn't happen. I had to wave several times before I was noticed... Good service looks different, dear Pizzeria Capri! It's a real shame because the pizza tastes really great, but a visit to the restaurant is definitely not worth it if you want to spend a nice evening. Overall, it seems as if they just want to reoccupy the tables as quickly as possible and get rid of the guests...

The pizzas were very tasty, although we were there about a year ago and the pizza was much better. Service wasn't good. We waited half an hour for drinks even though only 3 small tables were occupied. After asking, they said yes it was being prepared. About 5 minutes later it came. The same game on the night shift.

We were greeted warmly and made a reservation by phone at short notice. The appetizer platter for two was really good, the pizzas were a poem. Every long journey is worth it!

Original Neapolitan pizza. The dough is great. I had the world champion pizza Margherita di Buffala. Really very tasty. The Sofia was also very good. We'll be back soon. Seating is a bit tight though.

The pizzas would actually be really tasty, but they keep getting burned and some of them are downright inedible. We won't try it again now. Neither the attribute “world champion” nor the supposedly new oven are of any use. You could easily do this really well. Just a shame and so unnecessary!

I was there once with colleagues and was a bit annoyed that, despite reservations and empty tables, we were still made to wait in the cold for 20 minutes. Our pizzas were great that day, I had the mortadella/burrata/pistachios, perhaps not the best choice in January as it cooled down very quickly. The four of us shared a Marinella, which was really a dream. A few weeks later I went there with the family for an event and the same game, we had to wait because the planned table wasn't free yet, even though the same table as before was free in the back of the restaurant. And lo and behold, after waiting almost 20 minutes, we got the same table that had already been empty for 20 minutes. Which leads me to deduct 2 stars when it comes to service. Starter pizza pockets were delicious, deep fried hot and plenty of sauce. The 5 pizzas on the other hand, 3/5 a nightmare. A Mezza Luna (vegetarian) without mushrooms even though it was on the menu and the vegetables were soggy, peppers/aubergine/zucchini braised, without oil or any dressing, like the carelessly arranged rocket on the edge of the plate. All pizzas were sparingly topped with tomato sauce, but had a very wide crust. Upon request, there was some more oil at the table, but it didn't save it. My Béchamel e Porcini was bland, the Béchamel tasted more like just cream and the porcini (porcini mushrooms) were from a jar, soggy and sour. For a “gourmet” expensive pizza, I expect fresh ingredients. When I asked the waitress for the bill, I made the discrepancy known. No discount, no aperitif, no explanation, just cash and thank you. Which is why 2 stars deducted again. For the price you can eat better and perhaps even cheaper somewhere else with consistent quality. We advise against it and will no longer go there.

The pizza was very tasty, but unfortunately it was so burnt in some places on the bottom that it was bitter. The staff is quite unfriendly and rushes even before we order (we were asked three times what we wanted to order before we had finished reading the menu). The pizzeria is very crowded and noisy. iIt's better in summer when you can sit outside.

Francesco's pizza is actually the best I've ever eaten. That's not a compliment, that's a simple fact. He also prepared and gave me this Margherita, even though his pizzeria was closed. The pizzeria is a clear recommendation that you should definitely try! We traveled 2 hours away from Solingen to try the Meister Pizza here and none of us regret it :-) Both the starter and the tiramisu were incredibly tasty. The lemon flavor in particular was lovely and the meatball pizza was simply delicious. All we can say is that it is clearly the best pizzeria we have been to and that it is definitely the best pizza and deserves the name. olive in Solingen is just behind. So definitely give this pizzeria a try and the prices are really reasonable. Only the store is not that big and you should definitely reserve in advance. :-) We would love to come back and are absolutely happy, you can see the photos

Definitely recommended! I'm not a gourmet, but it was very tasty and left us full! Despite all the awards, the price is fair and within reason! The counter area is very attractively designed and the visible stone oven is of course a highlight! The dining room has a rather simple design and it was incredibly warm when we visited. A full guest room plus heating in a February sweater was too much. It took a relatively long time for the food to arrive, but it was rush hour and the hut was full, plus pick-up business. So everything is ok!! The service staff are very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the Italian getaway!

We came especially from Bavaria to eat the world champion pizza here and were very enthusiastic about the really good pizza.

My wife and I had an appointment in Ingelheim and wanted to eat a good pizza beforehand. Since we were short on time, we called ahead to order over the phone and then eat on site. We knew that this wasn't possible everywhere, but it doesn't cost anything to ask. In fact, we were explicitly confirmed on the phone that this was possible. We arrived full of anticipation and very hungry - but our pizza wasn't ready. We asked at the checkout, only to be personally reprimanded by the boss in a way we've never experienced before. He made it very clear to us that they would not offer such a thing “under any circumstances” and that was why our order was not even processed. When we tried to calmly explain that we had been promised this on the phone and that was the only reason we had come, the situation changed. Suddenly we were publicly accused of doing this just to get the cheaper “to-go” prices – a bold and completely unfounded accusation. The whole thing was said loudly in front of other guests, which made the situation extremely uncomfortable for us. I can't say whether it was because my wife was wearing a headscarf, but it was noticeable how the mood suddenly changed when we were seen in person. First it was “Yes, that’s possible”, then suddenly “We will NEVER do something like that!” – as if someone had changed their mind after seeing us. In the end we decided to just wait and take the pizza to go because we were really hungry. And yes – the pizza was really excellent, tasted absolutely great. But what good is the best pizza if you as a guest are treated like that? We will never enter this store again. The owner's behavior was not only disrespectful but almost humiliating. A simple “There was probably a misunderstanding, we'll find a solution” would have been enough - instead we were loudly paraded. I'm not writing this review out of frustration, but as a warning: If good service and respectful treatment are important to you, be careful here. Who knows if you will be the next one to be exposed in front of all the other guests for no reason.

So personally it tasted like nothing at all to me. Neither dough, nor sauce and above all soggy. I've eaten much better pizzas, so I'm seriously wondering what is supposed to be world-class here!!! Furthermore, everyone should read up on the official Pizza World Championship 2021...

Can't imagine why the rating is below 4.5 stars. It's actually one of the best and most genuine Napolitan pizzerias if not in Germany, then in the region for sure! The dough has the perfect amount of hydration; therefore, it's both fluffy and crunchy. Most of the ingredients, I'm sure, are shipped from Italy. Great quality and taste. Yes, it's pricey, probably too pricey for pizza in Germany, but still, I can only highly recommend it!

We have been visiting there at least once a week for 15 years. ❤️ Excellent in every way.

Arrived just as they opened with a group of 16. We had a reservation. Almost everyone ordered a different pizza plus a few sides/ extra stuff. Everyone was satisfied and happy. The majority of the group are native Italians. They agreed that we need to come again and try out more.

We were there today with 7 people and wanted to spend a nice evening with good food. We had reserved a table. We were able to order shortly after arrival. The first irritation arose when the first dish was served, but everyone else didn't get anything. That took a few more minutes. By the time everyone else got their order, the first person was almost finished. That was the first thing we didn't like. After almost 90 minutes we were told that we should now slowly drink up and leave as the table was still reserved for someone else. If we had been told this when we made the reservation, it would have been okay and we would have chosen a different restaurant because we haven't seen each other for a while and would have liked to have a little chat over a glass of wine. But that's how we felt considered it disgraceful and were disappointed. The ambience still has room for improvement. From the outside it looks more like a snack bar, inside it is loud and not very comfortable. I would have expected more from a world champion. Although the food was really good, we will not be returning after this experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a catering producer, we had the pleasure of dining at Capri today and we have to say: the Neapolitan pizza is absolutely top notch! With our experience in the industry, we can confirm that this is one of the best pizzas we have ever tasted. We were particularly impressed by the pizza bread – perfectly baked and full of flavor. An absolute must for every pizza lover! We'll definitely be back!

The pizza was great. The dough is really fluffy, the varieties are really authentic and the topping is made from the highest quality ingredients. The pizza wasn't noticeably more expensive than normal pizzas. The only downer was the tiramisu. I would have been happy with a normal, creamy tiramisu, but the lower third consisted of hazelnuts and some water had already separated. It's a shame considering it was beautifully presented. However, this is complaining at a high level. The real reason we were there, however, was the pizza and the world champions make it great!

Come on, what else can I say here? Francesco knows his stuff, period. By far one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. And I've eaten quite a few pizzas in my life, from Italy to America. I'm happy and proud that we have such a good pizzeria just around the corner. I'm happy to come by every now and then. Until the next visit. Update: In the meantime, investments have been made in the ambience again, which has a positive impact: it is definitely more comfortable in the restaurant now than before.

Promising menu with unusual pizzas. We were rather disappointed. Some of the ingredients listed had to be looked for on the pizza. Despite the spicy ingredients, the taste is rather bland. Dough mushy in the middle. Anyone who calls for such prices should do justice to them. Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere narrow, loud and more like a snack bar.

More appearance than reality!!! We were very excited to see what awaited us at Pizza Weltmeister and were unfortunately very disappointed!!! The menu sounded very interesting. The prices aren't exactly cheap either, but it wouldn't have bothered us if we had eaten fantastically.. Visually the pizza looked great!!! The taste was ok but due to all the toppings the pizza was very soggy. Unfortunately it didn't convince us!!! We have eaten better pizzas!!

Wir waren mit der Familie im Capri und haben eine Reservierung für 90 Minuten bekommen..Da muss man sich dann doch sputen falls man gemütlich mit Antipasti und Wein es sich gemütlich machen möchte.. Wir haben dann beschlossen verschiedene Pizzen zu probieren..Die Pizzen waren vom Aussehen sensationell !! Die Preise natürlich auch!!! Alle Pizzen waren nicht wirklich lecker!! Unten zu dunkel, schmeckten leicht verbrannt..Die anderen waren durch den vielen Belag matschig und nicht richtig durch!! Für den Preis 17 Euro und aufwärts hätten wir was anderes erwartet!!

Before I discuss the excellent quality of the food (absolutely 5 stars!), I would like to address the previous negative reviews that I read carefully. Some guests criticize the young waiters, most of whom are still in the early years of their careers - possibly also members of the owner's family. Of course, they still seem a bit shy and awkward, but that should by no means be a reason for a negative assessment. During my visit I was served by different waiters, all of whom were very friendly. Some people liked to chat, others less so - but that's completely normal and no reason to deduct a star. These young people are taking their first steps into professional life and this deserves recognition rather than criticism. The food was fantastic, the boss was extremely personable and the waiters were always friendly, even when the shop was busy and it was a bit hectic at times. But who wouldn't be stressed? I would definitely like to come back!

A really great lunch at an Italian restaurant! If you want to eat absolutely delicious pizza, this is the place for you. We drove almost 100 km to test the world champion pizza and were not disappointed. Just the bread, which was baked to perfection for me, was the journey. No paste, although the dough for a pizza was a bit too dark. The pizzas are well topped and tasty. For dessert, I can fully recommend the tiramisu or both versions (standard and lemon). The staff was attentive and friendly. Even the toilets were still neat and clean after the lunch rush. The ambience was nice and absolutely fine for this price range. If you want to visit the restaurant you should make a reservation in advance. We will be happy to come back!!!

Provably one of the world's best pizzerias, but really Italian cuisine with heart - a ristorante for the "spoon list". A must-visit if you're in the area... Be sure to make a reservation on the weekend in advance, very popular!

Haben vom Weltmeister und seinem Team mehr erwartet, wurden dennoch enttäuscht. Nicht nur, dass die Bedienung einen eher abgehetzten und gestressten Eindruck erweckt hatte, waren wir von der Qualität der Pizzen mehr als enttäuscht. Zwei der vier Pizzen waren vom Rand her gut, leider in der Mitte weich und matschig. Eine war gut, die vierte leider falsch überbracht worden. Leider wurde genau diese selbe Pizza mit etwas verändertem Belag serviert. Geht gar nicht !!

The best thing first, the pizzas were phenomenal, baked to perfection and had both creative, high-quality and lavish toppings. The service was quick, friendly and helpful; we felt well looked after. The prices can be described as appropriate given the quality of the food. The ambience is well known and has rightly been described as “canteen style” several times. However: If I want to offer this quality at these prices and have good staff, I need continuity. A cozy corner table where a couple in love holds on to 2 espressos for 2 hours after dinner doesn't help. CONCLUSION: If you want a top pizza at a reasonable price, served quickly and in a friendly manner, this is the right place for you. There are still alternatives for the romantic part of the evening. 🐺

Great Neapolitan pizza from pizza world champion Francesco Ialazzo - but unfortunately with small drawbacks in terms of pizza and service. The restaurant was very busy on Saturday lunchtime. The waitress seemed stressed and unfriendly and turned us away because there was apparently no table available for six people. Luckily the boss was nice enough to ask the waitress to rearrange the tables and chairs so that six of us could eat here. A reservation is definitely recommended. My pizza mezzaluna (half pizza, half calzone) tasted quite good. The edge was nice and thick and fluffy. The vegetables on the pizza also went wonderfully with it, but unfortunately the calzone part was a bit soggy due to the juicy vegetables. In addition, the base was partially burned, so that the burnt flavor dominated the taste of the pizza in some places. Maybe that was just an unfortunate isolated case. The other pizzas all looked fantastic. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a cozy atmosphere and is suitable for small and large groups. The prices are reasonable. Payment is made at the front of the counter. Card payments are accepted, but tips are only accepted in cash.

The boss is a down-to-earth person who, despite his title, remains fair and realistic with his prices. Very tasty pizza, unfortunately the quality often varies (depending on who is at the oven). Unfortunately, the parking problems cost one star.

Pizzeria Capri is a hidden gem for a casual night out. Their truffle pizza topped with savory sausage is a must-try. The combination of flavors and the perfect crust make it a truly memorable experience. Pair it with their tasty local wine, and you have a winning combination.

The pizza was really first class. Unfortunately the rest doesn't. The location has the feel of a canteen. Not comfortable and tables lined up far too close together. The service is almost unnoticeable and you have to pay at the front before you leave. It's a shame that such an outstanding product is ruined by such an environment. In any case, we have canceled our reservation for the second evening and will no longer visit this restaurant.
